Out Now! Christian Power Prog S91 “Along The Sacred Path” (Rockshots Records)

New Album “Along The Sacred Path” Out March 22, 2019

Out now as of March 22nd via Rockshots Records, Italian Christian power prog metal band S91 release their sophomore album “Along The Sacred Path“.

The album is now available on the following platforms:

Rockshots Records (CD)
Bandcamp
Spotify

Lyric Video – Constantine The Great –  https://youtu.be/jY3SxnJZPOM.

S91‘s new album follows their 2016 debut full length “Behold The Mankind”, which was a concept release about the history of humanity from the point of view of Christian theology. That album was produced by Cristiano Bertocchi (Labyrinth, Vision Divine, Wind Rose) with mastering done by Simone Mularoni (Domination Studios). Received well by critics and audiences, the debut opened doors for the band to tour across Italy and abroad, including a performance at the latest edition of “Elements Of Rock” (Switzerland), the largest Christian metal festival in Europe.

The band explains their sophomore full length:

“‘Along The Sacred Path’ is a concept album that traces the history of Christianity, continuing the narrative from “Behold The Mankind”. The story is told through the life of some key figures that are not always considered positive by everyone. The main goal is to show how the Gospel message has spread in its original form, becoming the fabric of modern Western society. Scrolling through the track listing, you will see that all the characters are of European origin.”

2 – Saint Patrick (5:24)
3 – Pope Gregory I (3:38)
4 – Olaf II Haraldsson (5:02)
5 – Godfrey of Bouillon (5:02)
6 – Joan of Arc (4:42)
7 – Martin Luther (4:39)
8 – John Williams (8:18)

About:

S91 was formed in 2006 with the intention of playing rock music with Christian lyrics. After several lineup changes and the release of some self-released albums, the band developed its’s own sound influenced by progressive-metal with psychedelic and symphonic influences. In 2012, the band began to write their debut album “Behold the Mankind” in collaboration with producer Cristiano Bertocchi (Labyrinth, Vision Divine, Wind Rose). The album was released in 2016 on the label “Underground Symphony”. The album’s concept was about the history of humanity from the point of view of Christian theology. The audience response was well received and pushed the band to perform on great festivals such as Elements Of Rock in Switzerland (the greatest European Christian Metal festival). S91 are currently wrapping up their follow up release “Along The Sacred Path” due out March 2019 via Rockshots Records.

Quebec’s THE FLAYING Skin You Alive With ‘Angry, Undead’ Album Stream via NoCleanSinging

New Album ‘Angry, Undead’ Out March 22nd via PRC Music

THE FLAYING, death metal from Quebec City, Canada will be unleashing their second album “Angry, Undead” on March 22, 2019, via PRC Music. Working with Christian Donaldson (Cryptopsy) at The Grid in Montreal, QC, the band has manifested pure mayhem for their fastest and most brutal debauchery to date.

Teaming up with NoCleanSinging, the band is ready to skin and skew their fans alive with the full stream of ‘Angry, Undead’ at the following link: https://www.nocleansinging.com/2019/03/21/an-ncs-album-premiere-and-a-review-the-flaying-angry-undead/

The concept of “Angry, Undead” is an intricate one with each of the eight songs falling under a distinct axis: Chaos (social manifestations); Madness (individual manifestations); and Void (existential manifestations). It is brutal, instinctive, unique, and wicked, and is recommended for fans of Cryptopsy, Archspire, Suffocation, and Deicide.

The band explains the release:

“Like our previous release ‘Unhope’ and probably the next albums as well, ‘Angry, Undead’ has its own concept and each song is related to each other by a main theme, which can be expressed as a symbol of global decay in the “undead”. Each song is a representative of this idea and which follows three main points :

Chaos Axis (social manifestations)
–       Disloqué (loss, confusion, disruption, despair)
–       Place du Parvis (fail of authorities, racism/religion, indifference, deprivation)
–       Genuflect (alienation, class war/domination)

Madness Axis (individual manifestations)
–       Angry, Unleashed (confinement, psychopathy, delirium/loss of self)
–       Angry, Undead (confinement, rage)

Void Axis (existential manifestations)
–       Elegy of Emptiness (void in expectations)
–       Valse du Scorpion (emotional devastation)”

Album order available on Bandcamp and PRC Music.

Track Listing:
1. Ouverture Écarlate (0:35)
2. Disloqué (3:15)
3. Place du Parvis (3:53)
4. Genuflect (4:00)
5. Egocentric Predicament (0:44)
6. Elegy of Emptiness (3:41)
7. La Valse du Scorpion (4:18)
8. Angry, Unleashed (3:23)
9. Angry, Undead (5:34)
Album Length: 29:28

BIO:

And it all began with the rope dancer….

Formed in July 2010, The Flaying is a death metal band based in Quebec City, Canada that focuses on fluid melodic construction of songs featuring brutal sections which are further complemented by vocals with both low end growls and hateful high pitches.

Since their first release Unhope (2014), Seb, Did, Wil and Mike are forging ahead in order to adopt a more brutal approach: adding new grooves, a greater velocity, and creating a wider ambiance as well as keeping breakdowns and progressive parts with counterpoints constructing a main theme of anger and a general hate of humanity.

Soldiering on with the philosophy of one band, four individuals, four personalities to collide, the writing process is a team effort initially seeing the band collaborate on riffs and groove ideas, adding a flourish of low-end colors, and blending the whole thing together with flying vocals that create a manifest of pure mayhem. This product of this steadfast diablerie will be realized on March 22, 2019, when the second album “Angry, Undead” is unleashed on PRC Music.

The guitarist Didier Samson is already called “Master” in his profession of criminal lawyer, but it is under the title of “masters of the metal” that he and his three acolytes of the death metal band The Flayingaspire with their second album Angry, Undead which appears March 22 on the emerging label PRC Music.”

“Angry, Undead is quite a number, I am really digging these addictive and mesmerizing death metal tunes and I am quite sure most of you technical and progressive death metal fans out there will feel the same about this album once you have checked this out. The Flaying is definitely a band to keep an eye and an ear on!” – Lords of Metal

“Solid and thoroughly enjoyable, The Flaying make a name for themselves on their second album. Angry, Undead is never at a loss for momentum and rage, and still manages to tickle your ears with its massive grooves and musical prowess.” – Dead Rhetoric

“It is a savage, brutish and barbaric death metal album emphasized by the nasty groove of Elegy of Emptiness and the booming Angry, Unleashed. A fine addition to any death metal fan’s collection.” – Games, Brrrains & A Head-Banging Life

0 Technical Music Review – Ashen Horde – Fallen Cathedrals – “The guys have created an atmosphere that brings you back to the early 1990’s black metal scene with progressive song structures.  This is an exotic sound in metal that isn’t one of the “popular” subgeneres that the kids go crazy for.  Ashen Horde sticks to their guns and brings a different kind of intensity and dynamic that some bands fail to do so.”

0 Dead Rhetoric – Red Cain – Kindred: Act I – “Symphonic progressive metal with alternative and gothic nuances – Red Cain are well on their way to establishing new territory in story telling and musical match-ups. Kindred: Act I represents a fine opening album for these Canadians, and should lend itself well to various multi-media opportunities for live show and film options.
