Phoenix, AZ’s MOTIVE will be unleashing their latest album, “Fight The World”, on vinyl, July 12, 2019, via Metal Devastation Records. Released digitally and on CD December 1, 2018, the album is fast, aggressive, and a chunky blend of thrash that has been well met by legions of metalheads around the world. BIO:
Ripping out of Gatineau, Canada, Fractures & Outlines are a post-hardcore band with influences ranging from Silverstein, No Use For A Name and Killswitch Engage.
The band came together in 2014 and work tirelessly planting their feet in the local underground music scene. Today the lineup consists of Nicholas Boudreault (vocals), Mathieu Frechette (drums/vocals), Eric Desormeaux (guitar/vocals), Maxime Rondeau (guitar), and Maurice Emond Jr. (bass). Intrepidly, they created their first EP ‘Checkmate’ in 2017, which was met with solid acclaim from various publications.
Since first taking the stage in 2014, Fractures & Outlines have played a whirlwind of local shows and festival including Rock Revolt 2017, Floodfest 2017, and Hullfest 2018. They have shared the stage with bands such as Sworn Enemy, Obey The Brave and Mass Hysteria.
As a team, the band works on each song together crafting heavy hooks, catchy choruses and brutal breakdowns with lyrical themes about internal struggle and having to fight your own demons. Each member brings a different set of musical influences to the table, making Fractures & Outlines stand out in the genre.
Working to further develop a sound that is their own, they hit the studio in 2018 to start work on their 10 track full length ‘Defenseless’, which will be revealed on May 17, 2019.

“An interesting choice to the lineup, as the other bands were of the deathcore / melodic metal genre. However, what they lacked in genre similarity they made up for in energy. This was highlighted by their cover of Alexisonfire “This Could Be Anywhere in the World“, which I and the crowd were taken aback by. Not only did they do the cover well, but they got the crowd engaged and were eager to mosh and sing along to it.” – Splice Media Group

0 WIDOW’S PEAK Announce “The Crusty Cross Canada Cruise” Tour

NEWS RELEASE

WIDOW’S PEAK Announce “The Crusty Cross Canada Cruise” Tour
Debut EP “Graceless” Out Now!

Unleashing their debut EP “Graceless” during April 2018, Calgary’s WIDOW’S PEAK announce they will be assaulting the masses across Canada for their first ever coast to coast tour. Entitled “The Crusty Cross Canada Cruise”, this self-booked summer tour kicks off in Western Canada on July 26th and will trek all the way to Halifax, NS and end on September 22nd in Drumheller, AB. Joining them on various segments of the tour will be Winnipeg’s Anomalism (July 26 – Aug 5), Nanaimo’s Evilosity (Aug 1-5), Saskatoon’s Skarly (Aug 11-22), Calgary’s Detherous (Aug 16 – Sept 22).
The band comments:
“We’re proud to announce that we’ll be embarking on a cross-Canada tour this summer, spreading filth from Victoria to Halifax, and everywhere in-between! Along for the ride are death-thrash sweethearts Detherous, the filthy, grindy duo of Skarly, BC’s wild islandmen Evilosity, and fellow tech fiends Anomalism. No city spared, no stone left unthrown; join us for the Cross-Canada Crusty Cruise!”
While many metal bands find inspiration from supernatural sources, myths, and legends, WIDOW’S PEAK find influence from true-life horror, from the depths of cruelty, terror and pain that man(un)kind so readily descends to. WIDOW’S PEAK is an aural catalog of carnage, a metallic mausoleum of pain, a sonic symphony of suffering. Their music does not reach for the stars, but rather for the cold void that surrounds them, the darkness that lives in the soul of man. Make no mistake; WIDOW’S PEAK’s ferocity is the music of the spears, metal dripping with blood, bile, and venom!
The band adds:
“Graceless” is a jagged and angular approach to technical death metal that fuses tales of perverse violence with the sounds of chaos. We set out to create something that’s brutal and overwhelming, but never loses sight of the underlying groove. We feel that this EP is exactly that: 20 minutes of bang-your-head, balls-to-the-wall madness that any fan of extreme metal will appreciate.”

“Canadian technical death metal outfit Widow’s Peak might be more man than machine, judging by Graceless, their new EP. Starting from the second you hit play, Widow’s Peak attack with blistering fretwork, relentless drumming and a diverse vocal performance.” – Decibel Magazine
“an inventive display of breathtaking destructiveness married to kaleidoscopic, head-spinning instrumental performances, and further reveals an unconventional taste in melody that makes the song even more fascinating….but there’s still more to be said about the song. In broad strokes, it’s complete balls-to-the-wall mayhem, mostly rushing ahead in the red zone, from the barrage of percussive tumult to the mutilating riffs and the deranged, insectile leads. And to add to the feeling of lunatic savagery, the bullet-spitting vocals veer from monster roars to banshee shrieks.” – No Clean Singing (Track Review – Mother’s Misery)
“Brewing in the darkest depths and the most pungent of bowels of Calgary, Alberta, Widow’s Peak comes spewing forth with their debut EP titled Graceless. This is a demented, dark and incredibly vile release filled with six full tracks that are sure to rip your scalp right off your skull. ” – Cadaver Garden
“Friends of technical death metal will rejoice over the technically precise and relentlessly brutal wave of destruction resounding on the soon to be released debut EP from Widow’s Peak. The Canadians from Calgary, Alberta are still pretty much an underground tip but “Graceless” is a promising move to get this band more well-deserved attention.” – Overdrive Music Mag
“The songs are savage and ferocious affairs, featuring head-spinning technicality that’s offset by brutal riffs and belligerent rhythms. With plenty of blast and groove, as well as sickening guttural growls, Graceless is sure to keep fans of extremity happy.” – Wonderbox Metal

He was performing as showband musician for Cirque du Soleil – VOLTA, Gerald appeared as a keyboardist in a variety of live performances e.g. with his own bands’ Circle of Illusion, Inspirational Corner. As a former ROLI product specialist and active seaboard performer, Gerald always tries to think ‘out of the box’ and pursues innovative and creative ways of making music. In his early 20s, he also attended a variety of music workshops including Berklee’s Umbria Jazz Clinics and Hollywood Music Workshop in Vienna, with Harry Potter soundtrack orchestrator Conrad Pope.
Gerald holds a Masters Degree in Multimedia and Software Development from which stems his passion for technology and computer graphics. Back in 2009, he coded, together with S. Zapotocky, a real-time MIDI visualizer program called ‘MIDI.live’ , which also was used by Jordan Rudess on stage during his Dream Theater concerts. In his latest music project video project and EP ‘Incremental Changes – Part One’ he also incorporated his own MIDI reactive visuals, which he programmed visualizing real-time MIDI data both from keyboard and seaboard.
Gerald Peter raised public awareness in the prog rock scene back in 2013 with the concept album ‘Jeremias – Foreshadow of Forgotten Realms’ by his 8-piece band Circle of Illusion. In this album, he played keyboards and composed and produced the music. It was listed on Jordan Rudess’ (keyboardist of Dream Theater) featured artist site and was also ranked on the 2013 top albums lists of music magazines: progarchives.com – musicinbelgium.net – myglobalmind.com

Bio:
Constantine was born & raised in Athens, Greece. At the age of 12, he began learning to play the guitar by copying songs from his record collection of his favorite bands such as Iron Maiden, Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, Judas Priest & Exodus. As a young teenager, he soon started to evolve more on his study & approach on the guitar by getting influenced from guitar heroes like Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Yngwie Malmsteen, Marty Friedman, Michael Romeo & Zakk Wylde.
Constantine’s playing over the years has evolved & ranges from shredding riffs to soaring solos with memorable twin guitar melodic harmonies, fluid tapping-arpeggio lines, wide vibrato, and melodic pentatonics.
Despite the young of his age, time and work had proved that Constantine’s flexibility is undoubted both in performances but in compositions in different genres/styles of music. Constantine’s efforts over the years have taken many forms including playing in Nightrage (2007), Descending (2008-2012), Mystic Prophecy (2008-2012), Nightfall (2010-2013), Primal Fear (2012).
His first solo album ‘Shredcore’ was released in 2010 and the follow-up ‘Aftermath’ will be released in May of 2019.

“Play to Win, which might be their most balanced effort yet. It’s their most catchy, too: the likelihood you’ll be singing along with every song before they finish is very, very high.” – Metal Sucks
“expertly combined killer arena rock choruses with well-done, cleaner verses.” – Metal Injection
“Six albums in six years. That is something almost unheard of, even in the modern era of production that considerably lessens the time needed to record and mix albums. Striker always seems to provide a new album right around when I start to wonder, “Hey, I wonder what Striker is up to?”. PLAY TO WIN is the band’s 6th LP and to my ears, one of their best. Rest assured, the band has not altered their sound. This is still classic metal, mixed with modern elements that continues to leave all pretenders in a cloud of choking dust.” – Metal Rules
“You can hear influences ranging from Dokken to Metallica on Play to Win, and it’s all done with masterful songwriting, performances and production. This is a slick, aggressively-mixed record that drips with excitement and replayability… Striker have produced their best record since City of Gold, and all fans of straight-up hard rock and metal need to own this album.” – Heavy Music HQ
“Striker have knocked this one out of the park and into the stratosphere. You’d be hard-pressed to find a catchier slice of fine cheddar this year, and I’d highly recommend it.” – New Noise Mag
