Ottawa’s Deformatory Announce Sonically Relentless Death Metal Experience With “Inversion of the Unseen Horizon”

Single Premiere “In The Embervoid Where Dead Stars Reign” via Bravewords

New Album “Inversion of the Unseen Horizon” Out September 3, 2021

Deformatory has been a maelstrom of devastation since 2010, assaulting all in their wake with relentless sonic brutality. This year they are adding to their punishing catalogue with their third album “Inversion of the Unseen Horizon”, which was mixed and mastered by Topon Das (Fuck the Facts) from Apartment 2 Recording along with the artwork done by Paul Gerrard, who is a movie concept designer known for his imagery on Wrath of the Titans, Hellraiser: Origins and Hellboy.

In anticipation of what is sure to be one of the heaviest tech death albums of the year, Deformatory are luring listeners in with the first single “In The Embervoid Where Dead Stars Reign”, which can be heard via its premiere on Bravewords HERE.

This is the third full-length album for Deformatory, following the 2011 EP “A Prelude Of…”; the 2013 full-length “In The Wake of Pestilence” and the 2016 full-length “Malediction”. The nine-track album is divided into three chapters, of which “In The Embervoid Where Dead Stars Reign” is the third song in the second chapter.

Deformatory explains the album’s concept and how the single fits in:

“In our previous album “Malediction”, we explored the truth about Lucifer, who was an angel possessed by a far greater evil entity named Savael. We dove into his awakening and consequences for mankind. Our newest album reveals that Savael was but a mere droid in a complex hierarchy of vile entities, known as The Ce’naxors from a planet called Cyru’xil, whose Grand Arkitekt has an insatiable thirst for destroying life stars.

The single is about the aftermath of planetary consumption and its effect on the multiverse. How death and destruction breed new forms of life, including some unintended consequences for Cyru’xil.”

This massively complex and intriguing album is just the tip of the iceberg for the brutal Ottawa duo. Fans of Cryptopsy, Morbid Angel, and Origin should take note.

The album “Inversion of the Unseen Horizon” will be released on September 3, 2021.

About:
Deformatory is a death metal band from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Forming in 2010, they set out to create an extreme sound, fusing together classic influences (Cryptopsy, Morbid Angel, Suffocation, etc.) and their love for modern tech death. The result is a uniquely relentless blend of death metal that can only hail from the Northern hemisphere.

Deformatory independently released their full-length debut, “In The Wake of Pestilence”, in December of 2013. This pummeling 9-track debut has been exceptionally well-received by fans worldwide, and has been cited as being an “outstanding and monstrous debut album. Essential.” (Frank Rini – AllAboutTheRock, ex: Internal Bleeding), and “flawless in every way” (TheBloodShed).

Having shared the stage with bands like Cryptopsy, Napalm Death, Obscura, Beyond Creation, Gorod, Archspire, and Fuck The Facts, Deformatory is more than comfortable delivering their crushing brand of extreme metal to live, screaming, and sweaty audiences.

The band’s sophomore release, “Malediction”, was released worldwide via CDN Records in 2016, with additional singles “Once Upon the Cross” (Deicide cover), and “Myiasis” both in 2018. Since then, DEFORMATORY has been developing their 3rd full-length album entitled “Inversion of the Unseen Horizon” which they plan to unveil in the Fall of 2021 as an independent release.

Montreal, QC – June 8, 2021

For fans of Emmure, Thy Art Is Murder, Fit For An Autopsy, Alpha Wolf

Kill The Imposter’s “Unfit Coward” Music Video ft. Taylor Barber (Left To Suffer)

New Album Out! “The Violence Sessions”

Florida’s deathcore all-stars Kill The Imposter released a new album last month and have a new music video for the closing track “Unfit Coward”, featuring Taylor Barber of Atlanta’s Left To Suffer premiering on NoCleanSinging HERE.

The song is based on a real story and is about people who talk shit publicly, but apologize privately. The kind of person that vocalist Johnny Nobody doesn’t care for. He continues to explain the main lyrical focus for KTI:

“It definitely doesn’t come from anywhere happy. However, at the same time, I’d like to think I can inspire people to do better through my bad experiences. I know that sounds weird but “The Tommy Hewitt Diaries’ is all about vengeance on someone that commits child abuse. Almost a ‘what the f@#$ do you think created Leatherface?’.”

“The Violence Sessions” is the third release from KTI, following 2019’s “The Decimation” and 2020 “A Strain Of Agony” EP. According to guitarist Danny Arrieta, this album is the result of years of anger and frustration of being told you can’t, you’re not ready, you’re not this or that, and saying ‘No’ with everything in your soul and the conviction – to fight tooth and nail for your place in the world.

Heavy and tight, your hair will stand on end and you will feel the energy KTI has poured into this release. As each song blares through your speakers, every note, beat, and lyric will awaken the energy in you to get up and go!

“The Violence Sessions” is recommended for fans of Fit for an Autopsy, Slaughter To Prevail, and Meshuggah and available on the following platforms:

About:
Kill The Imposter is an Orlando, USA-based deathcore band that was formed in late 2018. Pulling musical inspiration from everywhere, the intention of this four-piece band is to make you move in any capacity you see fit.

Coming from local and national bands, Kill The Imposter brings experience, drive, and mayhem, to the stage. The quartet banded together over a shared love for heavy and violent music, after sharing the stage for one song they knew they had something special, so they sat down together and within a week had 3 songs written and a video lined up. They haven’t stopped since that first sit down, and they won’t stop.

One of the founding members Danny Arrieta (guitar) is the primary music writer getting help with arrangement by Johnny Nobody (vocals). Nick Colvin (drums) carries the aggressive speed and heavy grooves with Wilson Bembry ( bass) definitely sharing and blending the thundering lows and technical playing between all of it.

Since they got together, Kill The Imposter has released “The Decimation” (2019), “A Strain Of Agony” (2020) and “The Violence Sessions” (2021). They have pummeled the stages of Central Florida Metal Fest and Tampa DeathFest and played alongside heavy hitters such as Nile and Terrorizer.

NEWS RELEASE

Montreal, QC – June 8, 2021

For fans of Pantera, Lamb of God, Machine Head, Sepultura, Gojira

Groove Metal WoR Announce New Drummer

Out Now! Debut Album “Prisoners” (Bungalo Records/Universal)

L-R – Phillip Funderburk – Bass, Bobby Demoss – Vocals, David Nisoff – Guitar, Dylan Jenkins – Drums, Ben Kaiser – Guitar

Following a year highlighted by postponed tours and the tragedy of living through a global pandemic, North Carolina, USA groove metal warriors WoR announced that they had parted ways with drummer Hunter Crews. Crews was featured on WoR’s debut record “Prisoners” released in 2020 via Bungalo Records/Universal Music Group. Today, the band officially announced that Dylan Jenkins would be joining WoR as the new drummer. Jenkins’ lightning fast playing style perfectly complements WoR’s sound and direction. Jenkins has been rehearsing and recording with the band since late 2020, as they gear up for a series of festival and tour dates in late 2021.

The band comments:

“We are thrilled to officially announce that Dylan Jenkins is the new drummer of WoR. Dylan has been rehearsing with us for the better part of the last year and has injected new life into the older songs as well as being a key contributor to the song writing process as we continue to work on our second album. We would also like to thank Hunter Crews for his contributions and wish him the best of luck in all his future endeavours.”

Jenkins adds:

“I’ve had a blast working with WoR. Giving some new life to the songs. I’m really excited to get to work on the new stuff and for the future.”

To demonstrate the band’s new chemistry, they are also sharing a new promo video to showcase Jenkins’ monster sound behind the kit, which can be viewed on YouTube – https://youtu.be/wvgafBwLflI

Throwing in elements of thrash, metalcore, and even hardcore punk, everyone in WoR has taken a different musical path and the variety of influences shows through in the unique and original sound on their debut release “Prisoners”, which is an extremely energetic journey from start to finish. Groovy, raw, and old school, WoR is suitable for all fans of metal especially those with an interest in Machine Head, Sepultura, and Gojira.

“Prisoners” is available on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play.

0 Feral Elegance And Bleak Majesty Collide In Fell Harvest’s “Titanicide” Off “Pale Light In A Dying World”

Hailing from Cheyenne, Wyoming, USA, Fell Harvest etch out their place in the world of doom metal. They first introduced themselves to the scene in 2020 with a self-titled EP and are now following it up with a “Pale Light In a Dying World”.

Most of the tracks on this album were written by bassist/vocalist Joseph Fell including the first single “Titanicide”, which also happens to be the album’s opening track. He explains the track in his own words:

“This song is built around a collection of riffs I wrote more than 20 years ago. It has heavy influence from 90s bands like Samael and At The Gates. These riffs sat homeless in the back of my head all this time because I never felt an urge to unify and complete them. The title and lyrics are about transcending and ultimately destroying one’s idols, both literally and metaphysically.”

Fell and the rest of the band are excited to get feedback about this release; compared to its predecessor, it has more progressive elements while maintaining the straightforward doom and death metal tropes, and lyrical concepts. Those who are familiar with the band will notice a markedly different vocal style coming from Fell, entirely “clean” with no death or black metal harshness, which is the result of lung damage he sustained from contracting COVID during recording.

The album was mixed and mastered by Alexander Backlund, the man behind 1914’s “The Blind Leading the Blind”. It is recommended for fans of Paradise Lost, Opeth, and My Dying Bride.

“Titanicide” can be heard via its premiere on OutlawsofTheSun HERE.

“Pale Light In A Dying World” is out on July 16, 2021.

About:
Fell Harvest, doom metal from Cheyenne, Wyoming, USA, strives to weave a tapestry of melody, despair, and longing to chronicle the last lights of a dying world.

Fell Harvest grew out of a former project of Joseph Fell (bass/vocals); which found its completed form as a trio with the additions of Angel Enkeli (drums) and Liam Duncan (guitars). The name Fell Harvest came from a dream Fell had where he was walking through a deserted vineyard with every vine bearing bleached bones and rotting flesh. He woke up and wrote a short poem called “The Fell Harvest” about the images and feelings.

Probably the most unique aspect of their live sound is rooted in the fact they are a trio. It’s somewhat rare these days to see a three-piece band in extreme metal, and even more rare to see one that is as melodically driven as Fell Harvest. Fans can hear parallels to bands like Paradise Lost and Rotting Christ, but more careful listeners can hear nods to Venom and King’s X as well.

The band debuted a self-titled EP in 2020 and is following it up with “Pale Light In A Dying World” out on July 16, 2021.
