NEWS RELEASE

Montreal, QC – April 20, 2022

Symphonic Metallers GRAVESHADOW and Blackened Prog-Metallers VINTERSEA Announce Tour

‘The Uncertain Hour Tour 2022” to hit the West Coast from July 15th through July 23rd

Sacramento-based symphonic metal quintet GRAVESHADOW and Pacific Northwest blackened progressive-metal group VINTERSEA have announced “The Uncertain Hour Tour 2022,” beginning Friday, July 15th at Barmadeggon in Tulare, CA, and running up and down the West Coast, ending Saturday, July 23rd at Cafe Colonial in Sacramento, CA. Full tour dates are below. Pre-orders for CD and limited-edition (200) vinyl copies of GRAVESHADOW‘s upcoming third album, “The Uncertain Hour,” are available at www.smarturl.com/graveshadow. While CD copies of VINTERSEA‘s most recent album, 2019’s “Illuminated,” are available at https://vintersea.bandcamp.com.

“We’re so excited to be here again and we can’t wait to get back out on the road and see everyone — new and existing fans alike!,” exclaims GRAVESHADOW guitarist William Lloyd Walker. “We’ve talked for years about doing a run with VINTERSEA and we’re thrilled we were able to finally make it happen. Can’t wait to see you all out there very soon!”

“I can’t wait to get out on my first run out with Graveshadow!,” furthers GRAVESHADOW singer Rachl ‘Raxx’ Quinn. “I’m truly excited to deliver the passion that VINTERSEA and ourselves bring to the table. Looking forward to tearing down the house each night with my bandmates and good friends!”

GRAVESHADOW – who deftly mixes symphonic/gothic metal with elements of doom, thrash and epic progressive power metal – recently unveiled the music video for “Soldier of 34,” the new single from their forthcoming album, “The Uncertain Hour,” at https://youtu.be/qXDzhkfRjuM. “The Uncertain Hour” sees the new lineup for GRAVESHADOW continue to refine the enticing mix of symphonic, gothic, doom, and epic progressive-metal elements, now augmented by the newfound energy that has been brought into the band by the soaring melodic vocals of Rachl ‘Raxx’ Quinn and the rumbling rhythm section of new bassist Luci Rae and new drummer Bones Padilla. The returning duo of William Lloyd Walker and Aaron Robitsch once again deliver a beautiful display of guitar histrionics that tastefully mixes searing shred with warm melody. GRAVESHADOW are back on the scene with a story to tell, intertwining melodic highs and crushing lows to sweep listeners away on a journey of self-discovery, loss and the will to carry on.

GRAVESHADOW‘s previous album, 2018’s “Ambition’s Price,” was given accolades by Metal Utopia for being “a great record with lots of great moments for fans of Nightwish and The Birthday Massacre.” Metal Nation praised “Ambition’s Price,” declaring that “GRAVESHADOW has taken what has become a somewhat complacent and stagnant style of metal and breathed fresh life into it, creating something vibrant and memorable.” The fantastical lyrical themes that were explored by the band on “Ambition’s Price” – their debut record for M-Theory Audio and the follow-up to the group’s incubatory 2015 debut full-length “Nocturnal Resurrection” – were applauded by critics and fans alike. The band followed the release of “Ambition’s Price” by winning over new audiences with extensive touring alongside bands such as Arkona, Sirenia, Exmortus, Night Demon, and Unleash The Archers.

VINTERSEA – whose unique fusion of majestic progressive metal, harsh blackened death and post-metal beauty draws inspiration from the darkened skies of their Pacific Northwest home – have started recording the follow-up album to their critically-acclaimed 2019 opus, “Illuminated.” The band’s most recent record showed off the band’s riveting mix of prog, black, death and post-metal that has earned comparisons to forward-thinking acts such as Agalloch and Enslaved, and was praised by Dead Rhetoric as “a wondrous, challenging record that will reward listeners who are seeking something more.”

Fronted by Malaysian-born singer Avienne, whose vocal range spans from haunting melodies to fierce growls, VINTERSEA delivers heavy, emotionally powerful and technically intriguing music that is undeniably inspired by the majesty of the Pacific Northwest. A series of visually-compelling music videos that communicated the inspirations behind “Illuminated” – culminated by the blood, sweat, and tears put into bringing to life the vision conceived by VINTERSEA bassist Karl Whinnery for the central epic of the album, “Crack of Light,” featuring a set built by the band to accommodate a 40×40-foot pool and a 20-foot-long boat handmade specifically for the video – can be viewed at https://www.youtube.com/vintersea. Live performances alongside bands such as Arkona, Ne Obliviscaris, The Ocean, Sirenia, Dawn of Ouroboros and label mates Voices of Ruin have furthered the demand for VINTERSEA‘s powerful metallic blend.

“We have been fans and friends of Graveshadow for year, and have been waiting for the right opportunity to explore the Pacific coast with them,” explains VINTERSEA guitarist Riley Nix. “Now that we are united with recent albums out under the M-Theory banner, it is the perfect time to unleash a barrage of beautiful, brutal, and forward-thinking metal across three states.”

7/15 Barmageddon – Tulare, CA

NEWS RELEASE

Montreal, QC – April 20, 2022

Canada’s INVICTA HEIGHTS Inject Emotion And Angst Into Southern Infused Metalcore On “Convalescence”

Canada’s Invicta Heights is a curious blend of southern metal and metalcore, scratching itches you didn’t even know you had. They are releasing their debut EP “Convalescence” this month and at the same time, lyric videos for each of the four tracks “Bad Habit”, “Creature”, “Anxious” and “Crooked Table”. The record is a whirlwind of emotions, with lyrics focusing on mental health, personal struggles, and addiction. These intense topics are complemented with equally tense music, from the fast-paced “Anxious” to the heavy, southern riffs on “Creature”. The band details the particulars of their introductory EP:

“We wanted this EP to reflect the lowlights of our life as well as our ability to rise above all of them. During the development of “Convalescence” we really found out what haunted us most and we hope our lyrics resonate with our listeners. There’s nothing else we would ever want more than to travel the world while spreading our messages that we know people can relate to. This is our opportunity to connect with people and show them that the struggles they go through in their lives are the exact same as everybody else’s and never alone.”

Invicta Heights boasts impressive storytelling abilities and honed musical talent, and listeners will have their melodic atmosphere, hard-hitting one-liners, and dashes of southern riffage on repeat. “Convalescence” contains both stressful riffs and angsty lyrics, conspiring with one another giving the listener no choice but to thrash their head and trash their apartment.

The band rose from the ashes of a smoldering dumpster fire of a previous band, wiping the slate clean was the only option in order to create something beautiful. Now with vocalist Jacob McGregor and guitarist/vocalist Troy Klassen manning the helm, they are able to culminate a dream that they are turning into a reality.

Loud, wild, and downright underrated, Invicta Heights brings aggressive riffs, and relatable lyrics to ears and is strongly recommended for fans of Beartooth, Everytime I Die, and Norma Jean.

“Convalescence” and the accompanying videos are being released on April 20, 2022.

EPK – Invicta Heights – Convalescence (2022)

Jon Asher – jon[@]ashermediarelations[.]com

“This EP came to be a concept record based upon the inner struggles we all have and yet, we hear very little about. We’ve taken it upon ourselves to shine a light on mental health and to remind the world that we can overcome anything with the right mindset.

Starting with Bad Habit written and recorded back in the fall of 2020. We’ve been holding onto these songs for a while now. We knew we had something special, sending the record around to producers and labels, we’ve heard nothing but positive feedback. That just blows us away, we are so humble for the support we’ve had throughout the recording and release process.” – Invicta Heights

=================================

The EP as a whole (LYRICALLY & MUSICALLY):

This EP came to be a concept record based upon the inner struggles we all have and yet, we hear very little about. We’ve taken it upon ourselves to shine a light on mental health and to remind the world that we can overcome anything with the right mindset.

Lyrically Convalescence allowed us to open up and see what makes us tick, the true reflection on what is really holding us back from being who we really want to be. Accompanied by overpowered guitar riffs pushed by loud drums and aggressive vocals.

Track by Track (LYRICALLY & MUSICALLY):

1. Bad Habit
(Lyrically) – Bad Habit describes how everyone has their own demons inside them, coming to terms with all of our mistakes and taking the steps to truly forgive yourself.
(Musically) – Bad Habit musically takes you through an emotional rollercoaster filled with anger, sadness, and regret. Coming to the end of the story it decides to run you through a meat grinder again   Love you  ❤

2. Creature
(Lyrically) – Creature tells a story of a womanizer out looking for his next target, while she’s running up his tab, he suddenly realizes that she’s perfection and she actually has him under her spell.
(Musically) – Filled with southern riffs and fast-paced riffage, the creature doesn’t let you catch your breath.

3. Anxious
(Lyrically) – Anxious is a confession of how much anxiety can destroy a person.
(Musically)- Musically, Anxious holds you in a very fast-paced tense rise until the very end.

4. Crooked Table
(Lyrically) – Crooked table explains the depth of how low a person can feel due to gambling addiction. The lengths you’re willing to go to maintain that high, regardless of the lows that follow. And to leave it all on red.
(Musically) – Starving you from anything but angry riffs and deadly vocals, Crooked Table will go down as a true tribute to southern metal.

===============================

BAND STORY ANGLES / FUN FACTS:

1. Origins: Invicta heights rose from the ashes of a smoldering dumpster fire that was Divide and Conquer. A band of classless misfits with no direction was the inevitable downfall and eventual demise of D&C. It was an easy decision to walk away from the monstrosity it was due to excessive drug use and lack of communication and commitment. Wiping the slate clean was the only option in order to create something beautiful. Now with Jacob McGregor and Troy Klassen manning the helm we are able to culminate a dream that we both know can become a reality.

2. Oblivious: As a new band we wanted to put out our feelers for the music we created and start playing some shows. It was quite a surprise when we realized a viral video channel posted a clip of us playing at a festival. They titled it, a death metal band – but little kids dance to music. To add insult to injury the video basically looks like the vocalist is harassing a crowd of children and screaming profanities, while the adults of the crowd sat and watched in disbelief.

3. Temporary departure: Invicta Heights was finally at the precipice of a full roster and honing a sound that made their listeners want more. At the pinnacle of it, all Jacob unexpectedly chose to take a backseat to the responsibility and dedication to the vision that Troy and he agreed they would achieve. Distracted by women, his heart was misplaced, and lost sight of what mattered. Troy had no choice but to release Jacob. After attempting to replace Jacob, Troy quickly realized there was no one that was even close to capable of filling his shoes. After a couple of months of thinking long and hard, Troy came to the conclusion that he wasn’t ready to hang in the towel. Troy decided to try to ask Jacob one more time if he was at all interested in giving it one more shot. After Jacob had relinquished his chance to create music with one of the greatest people he’s met in his life he was Ecstatic to be asked to be a part of Invicta Heights again.

The Redemption: When being asked to play a backyard show you never know what to expect. You start to ask yourself questions like: Is it worth it? Will any people show? or the biggest question is, will the cops get called? As the opening band begins to play their set everything is going great. People are enjoying the music and having a great time. Just as the first band finishes up their last song, suddenly there are 2 police officers. They explain to us that we need to shut the show down due to noise complaints. This put us at an impasse. Two bands had still not played, us included. After we thought all hope was lost at finishing the show, some biker dude piped up and said “I’ve got a farm just outside of town. You guys could finish the show In my barn”. After hearing that our spirits lit up again and we were on the road, convoying to this random dude’s farm. The location ended up being better than we imagined and made for a special show. It’s not every day you play a show inside of a barn.

“Chinook is a fantastic successor to The Howl, The Whisper, The Hunt, employing stellar performances all around that balance melody, fury, and riffs through its next-level songwriting.” – Angry Metal Guy

“Their spectrum of sounds on Chinook is so rangy and their influences so diverse that no song feels alike, even though they all fit comfortably under the black metal umbrella.” – Noob Heavy

“The motto for this album is “Strange times bring strange winds.” The truth of the matter is that such a motto can justify some music full of far-fetched complexity and overly sophisticated passages. But despite all their strangeness, Svneatr are free from this sin of modern black metal bands, and therefore are perceived very organically. “Chinook” is really great work containing carefully thought-out and excellently performed music, there is nothing superfluous here. Enjoy!” –  Metal Observer

“…the somewhat oddball approach to songwriting keeps you on your toes, reminding you that despite the occasional ray of sunshine, devastation by frost is still a very real possibility.” – Toilet ov Hell

“SVNEATR knocked my dick clean off.” – Toilet ov Hell

“…diverse and different black metal album, with a dose of old school nostalgia and melody.” – Blessed Altar Zine

“If you like your black metal lean, mean, and without pulling any punches, this comes with a lofty recommendation.” – Nine Circles

SVNEATR (sun-eater) is a black metal band from Vancouver, Canada. They play a blend of melodic, atmospheric, and progressive black metal and are, in their own words, “the sound of nature screaming back at you.” SVNEATR released the demo “Serpents & Storms” in 2015 and their first full-length “The Howl, The Whisper, The Hunt” was released in March 2018. Their most recent album, 2021’s Chinook improved on their original sound, which honed in on their musicality and unique approach, was met with critical success. Chinook boosted their Spotify figures to over 1,000 monthly listeners in August, reaching #5 on Bandcamp’s “New and Notable” for atmospheric black metal, and charting at #33 on Amazon’s Global New Releases for Hard Rock & Metal, and #57 on Itunes Metal Albums for the United States. They have most notably made appearances at Black Mourning Light 2018 and 2019 in Edmonton, as well as playing alongside such bands as Apollyon, Tempestarii & Numenorean. SVNEATR is a rising force in British Columbia’s extreme metal scene and are looking towards broader horizons in 2022 and beyond!

The ferocious howl of wind, booming thunder that shakes your core, electric light that slices the sky. These are the sounds of relentless nature, and exactly what Svneatr invokes through the progressive black metal which they describe as “the sound of nature screaming back at you”. Hailing from Vancouver, Canada, they released “Chinook” last year to rave reviews from around the world, and now with everything opening up, they are finally getting to play it live in June this year.

With two other albums under their belts, they take the raw feel from the first record, but humbly open themselves up as artists and that allows them to play whatever comes naturally. Taking a solid black metal template they bend it to create a diverse, atmospheric sound. Each song works individually but the album was intentionally written as one, larger piece of music. They describe their latest release:

“We think it will come as a shock to the original fanbase and open us up to the world. We expanded the guitar sound and added a lot of melodies and harmonies, clean vocals, and major chords. Many of the themes are political because it’s unavoidable, given how we talk about topics such as climate change or racism and how uncompromising we are when faced with challenges to our values as human beings. In the past, We’ve shrouded these ideas in metaphors and wordplay but on this record sometimes it’s no secret what we’re saying. This may turn some people off, but it would be far worse to lend our voice to cowardice and hatred.”

Svneatr will be hitting up cities across Canada in June with Denmark’s abrasive hardcore/sludge act Hexis, and together they will hammer into fans the soundtrack to the apocalypse. Those who are lucky enough to have these two unforgiving bands tour their city will be greeted by intense, raw metal. Real playing with no click tracks or backing tracks. No fluff. Punk ethos. They are recommended for fans of Opeth, Darkthrone, and Enslaved.

In additional news, Svneatr is also proud to announce their signing to Prosthetic Records for their third full-length album, which will be released via the Los Angeles label in due course.

Speaking on their signing to Prosthetic, Vitharr Monteith (guitar/vocals) comments:

“SVNEATR is unbelievably stoked to be partnering up with Prosthetic Records for our third record and beyond! They’re a label we’ve held in high regard for many years and we are excited to be joining such a stacked roster with some of our favourite bands! We’re currently recording our yet-to-be-titled album and it’s going to be heavier, more musically diverse and darker than our previous record. We truly feel like we’ve hit a rhythm and found a unique sound, honing in on what defines us as artists and creators, and we’re getting tighter with each song. We seriously can’t wait to share with you this distilled thunder we’ve been working on! To our fellow Canadians, catch us on our upcoming Canada tour supporting the mighty Hexis in June!”

NEWS RELEASE

Montreal, QC – April 14, 2022

El Paso, TX’s CIRCA ARCANA’s Unleash Music Video “Ten of Swords” + Performing on WJRR’s Earthday Birthday (Orlando, FL)

New EP “Bridget Viginti” Out Now!

Set to perform on WJRR’s Earthday Birthday Festival on April 23rd in Orlando, FL, which includes a lineup of Godsmack, Three Days Grace, Black Veil Brides, Thrice among many more, El Paso, TX metalcore tyrants Circa Arcana are giving fans a taste of their latest music video for their track “Ten of Swords” off the recently unleashed debut EP “Bridget Vīgintī” via TheCirclePit – https://youtu.be/ePMdZsiGTp4

“Ten of Swords was a song that allowed us as a band to relieve a common experience we all face in life, heartbreak, and the anger that follows it. Ten of Swords was the last puzzle piece in completing a series of dark places everyone travels to in their mind when pushed too far. This song was our finale to that dark place and the vehement emotions one feels while being there for far too long.” adds vocalist Kevin Cangas.

Formed during the Covid pandemic, and after trial and error, lots of ups and downs, and adjusting to a new way of collaborating, Circa Arcana’s debut EP was released on February 18th for the world to hear. With a cacophony of breakdowns juxtaposed with infectious choruses that are easy to sing along to, the EP is a fast-paced rollercoaster to the face with the songs flowing together and showing a strong diversity in their music styles.

Guitarist Johny Serna explains the record:

“This EP touches on a lot of deep concepts. I have always been a believer that a song should be interpreted by the listener and in one’s personal interpretation one can find the meaning of the song. We do touch on dark themes, some personal stuff, and some dark conceptual stuff. But honestly, if you want to figure out meanings to the songs, you’re gonna have to dig a little deeper to figure those out! We incorporate a lot of symbolism on our social accounts, our videos, photos, etc. All I can say is if you enjoyed our first two singles “Esoteric” and “The Tower” then you are definitely going to enjoy this release!”

Musically, the EP takes you through a journey, as you go through the record you can listen to all the nuances that you heard in the opening song “Ten Of Swords”. It is followed by “The Chariot”, the reckless powerhouse on the EP, three minutes of nonstop in-your-face aggression. Then comes the “arena metal” anthem “The Tower”, which is quick to pick up. Things get a bit lighter with “Luna”, a beautiful song with few screams. Closing the record is “Esoteric” the first song written for the band and the first single. It’s an eerie song, lyrically touching on the topic of addiction and overcoming it.

Circa Arcana presents a solid first effort and is recommended for fans of Wage War, Like Moths To Flames and We Came As Romans.

“Do you like melodic metalcore? If you do, there’s a good chance you’ll enjoy what Texas metalcore band Circa Arcana are doing with their newest single, “Esoteric”. Formed last year during the COVID-19 pandemic, you might not think it a good time for a new band to form, but art often flourishes during the darkest times. It’s no different for Circa Arcana – the band is currently finishing their first EP entitled Bridget Viginti, slated for later release in 2022. A decent comparison might be mid-period Killswitch Engage, It Dies Today, or even the underrated Diecast album Internal Revolution, as the band’s combination of bright melodies and aggression will fit right at home to fans of that style.” – New Fury Media

“Circa Arcana may have gotten started last year, but some of the members have been around in the El Paso for a WHILE. Their sound has compared to It Dies Today, I See Stars, Blessthefall & Howard Jones-era Killswitch Engage.” – Daniel Paulus – KLAQ 95.5 FM – El Paso, TX

DREAMS IN PERIL Offer Live Ascension On Midwest Tour Starting In May w/ Pig Weed

Photographer Credit: Casey Steinmiller, Steinmiller Productions

Core fans, take heed, the devastating sounds of Dreams In Peril are hitting the American Midwest with Pig Weed – seven states over nine dates each one promising a night filled with thunderous breakdowns, relatable lyrics, and contagious energy. Dreams In Peril are preparing for the release of the band’s sophomore album “Ascending” and will be bringing some new songs to the road as well as featuring the band’s new lineup, introducing new members Dakota Otte on vocals and Lucas Munoz on the second guitar. They describe their music and what fans can expect:

“All of our music is based on personal issues and the hope to overcome your own personal demons. That being said, our upcoming new music covers ascending to new heights, rather than being in a career or in life in general. The new singles also cover topics like cancer and struggling with mental health. Musically, we are dynamic, from utilizing reverb to epic change-ups in tempos and timing signatures.”

Dreams In Peril’s music not only keeps the listener on their toes with the instrumentation, but they also channel a momentous amount of energy and passion into their live performance that will have the audience upfront and center the entire time.

No strangers to the stage, Dreams In Peril has played with big names such as Born of Osiris, Origin, and Between The Buried and Me. Fans will be greeted by decisive energy and passion that ushers in real themes of anger, sadness, life struggles and ultimately overcoming them all.

With a couple of new singles ready to go in the coming months, they are excited to get back on stage doing what they love. They are recommended listening for fans of The Acacia Strain, Veil Of Maya, and Oceano.

About:
Dreams In Peril are a five-piece groove-driven and dynamic death metal/hardcore act out of Kansas City. Combining crushing grooves with cinematic soundscape melodies, the band brings a huge dynamic that has been captured on the upcoming album ‘Ascending’.

Having supported acts such as BORN OF OSIRIS, BENEATH THE MASSACRE, ORIGIN, BETWEEN THE BURIED AND ME, VEIL OF MAYA, and THE ACACIA STRAIN, since forming in 2018 Dreams In Peril have quickly established themselves as a force to be reckoned with. Soon after the band’s inception, Dreams In Peril released a debut album titled ‘MePhobia’ and the video clip for the lead single ‘Neckties And Nostalgia’.

The band started out as a four-piece and found the path to the present an endurance of setbacks both personal and professional. The band’s name is a reflection of the experience of these challenges and overcoming them. This however soon changed, with the band being picked up by leading international heavy music management agency EMG in 2019 (SUFFOCATION, CRYPTOPSY, RINGS OF SATURN).

Following some line-up changes and writing for a new album, Dreams In Peril recruited a second guitarist, Lucas Munoz, and a new vocalist Dakota Otte. Consolidating the band lineup as the most devastating yet, Dreams In Peril entered the studio to record a new yet-to-be-released album in 2022 titled ‘Ascending’.

0 HETEROCHROME Present Socially Charged “The Bearing” Off “From The Ashes”

  • April 13, 2022
  • by Asher
  • · Heterochrome · Music News

NEWS RELEASE

Montreal, QC – April 13, 2022

Iran’s HETEROCHROME Present Socially Charged “The Bearing” Off “From The Ashes”

“From The Ashes’ Out May 13, 2022

Hailing from Iran, Heterochrome has seen its fair share of trials and tribulations, social injustice, and civil unrest. They take these experiences and meld them together with an eclectic blend of progressive, melodic, and nu-metal along with traditional Persian music. The third single “The Bearing” off their upcoming album “From The Ashes” deals with oppression and finding out who you really are. The band explains:

“One of the few tracks remaining from the original lineup of this album, “The Bearing” was written by Mida in trying to process all that is growing up in Iran with a different sexual identity from others. Bearing the weight of oppression and ignorance for years, fighting for their right to love and live as who they are, all that pent-up anger came out in the lyrics.”

The single and video for “The Bearing” – https://youtu.be/pUwK1BoptaI

Compared to their debut album “Melancholia”, which came out in 2017, the lyrics and music on their new release “From The Ashes” point out social and political issues of both their home country Iran, such as incarceration and criminalization of the metal genre, sexual identity, and female singing, and on a larger scale the world, such as the climate change dilemma.

As a progressive band, Heterochrome puts a strong emphasis on the instrumentals as well as the vocals in their music. The instrumental sections are designed to deliver the specific atmosphere for the story that is being told throughout the song. They also embrace fully instrumental tracks, present on both albums.

With a variety of influences, centered mainly around the 90s and 00s progressive and alternative styles, Heterochrome has coined itself Melancholic Persian Metal. They are recommended for fans of Gojira, Draconian, and Lacuna Coil.

“From The Ashes” will be released on May 13, 2022.

Since 2009, West Metal Entertainment and Armstrong Metalfest has not only fostered the talent of hundreds of local bands but brought in well-known, international acts to the quiet, little Canadian town of Armstrong, British Columbia.

Each year up to 700 metalheads from Canada and the USA descend into the picturesque Okanagan Valley and under the blistering sun they spend three days camping, taking in over 30 bands, participating in wrestling events, and scavenger hunts and catching up with their metal family.

The festival has seen such renowned headliners as Kataklysm, Cattle Decapitation, Archspire, Nekrogoblikon, and Beyond Creation as well as emerging artists from across North America. At the end of the revelry, the festival disappears without a trace, leaving the landscape as pristine as it has always been.

West Metal Entertainment is a non-profit society that not only puts on Armstrong Metal Festival every year in Armstrong, B.C., but gives bands opportunities to play different venues throughout the region including all-ages shows, to encourage musical passion in kids as well as adults.

0 Israel’s SINNERY Signs To Exitus Stratagem Records To Release Forthcoming Album “Black Bile”

Israel’s SINNERY Signs To Exitus Stratagem Records To Release Forthcoming Album “Black Bile”

Israeli thrashers Sinnery have been working hard on a new, highly anticipated album “Black Bile”, which is slated for release this year through USA-based Exitus Stratagem Records. Their last album “A Feast of Fools” was released six years ago, so this new offering has been a long time coming. The previous album is very thrash-heavy and since then they have taken more to the death and black subgenres, as well as embracing elements from deathcore and modern metal.

This period of growth and evolution might bring a shock to long-standing fans, but in a good way. The music has gotten more professional, the musicianship has gotten tighter and there are more powerful emotions and messages inflected throughout the songs. They still bring heavy, driving riffs but have added melody and higher production quality. The band comments on the release:

“Writing Black Bile we knew more than anything that we just want the listeners to feel what we felt while writing the album. The album contains many different styles of play all while sticking to what we love about metal the most, heavy and melodic fast parts. We really tried to explore further into our inspiration’s inspiration and see where the sounds that we love came from, we mixed everything that we like to give the album a sound that is 100 percent Sinnery. All of the songs mean a lot to us, they all speak about our perspective dealing with different stuff about the world that we live in or our own minds and personal life.”

Sinnery wants their songs to bring fans closer to them and gain an understanding of who they were when they wrote “Black Bile”. Their live act is known to be very energetic and heavy, dripping with elevated intensity all the way through each set. On top of an engaging live show, they are nothing if not dedicated to their craft. They once had the opportunity to play a large-scale gig, however, vocalist/guitarist Alon Karnieli, who was doing his military service, was expected to be on base. All caution to the wind, he left without permission to go and slay the stage.

Grinding, and familiar, Sinnery takes the usual metal formula and injects it with dynamic passion. They are recommended listening for fans of Metallica, Gojira, and Testament.

“Black Bile” will be released in September 2022 via Exitus Stratagem Records.

About:
Forged by the love for metal and hatred for anything else, Sinnery formed in late 2012 in Herzliya, Israel. The four-piece toured Israel nonstop while entering the studio with Israeli producer Eli Pikover to record their first album “A Feast of Fools”.

In 2016, the band signed with Pitch Black Records and together released Sinnery’s debut LP “A Feast of Fools”, getting the band to play in Cyprus’s biggest metal festival “Power of The Night Fest 2017”. AFOF gained the band many new listeners receiving great praise worldwide.

In 2019, the band toured with legendary German thrashers, Tankard.

Fast forward to 2022, The band has completed production on their highly anticipated new album “Black Bile”, mixed and mastered by Matt Hyde (Machine Head, Trivium, Slipknot, Bullet For My Valentine). The album is set for release on Sept 16th via label Exitus Stratagem Records (EXSR).

Sinnery is set to conquer new grounds and get on tour starting with Romanian Festival and date in the UK in September and October.
