BREACHED Announce Tour Dates; New Music Video ‘Control’

Heavy melodic rockers BREACHED are proud to announce they are hitting the road for their first performance at this year’s Sudbury New Music Festival followed by Ontario, Quebec and Nova Scotia dates with The Rabid Whole and King Doom and later supporting Australia’s Arcane Saints.
The band recently released a new music video for the strip down acoustic version of their track ‘Control’, which is one of five unplugged tunes from their newly released acoustic EP ‘Revolution Sessions’. The EP features four originals from their 2011 self titled EP along with a cover of Alice In Chains’ ‘No Excuses’.

Grande Prairie, AB power-thrash five-piece Edge of Attack are proud to announce they will be trekking across Alberta for the month of June along with a tour date in Winnipeg, MB for their Northern Destruction Tour in promotion of their debut self titled album released on Spread The Metal Records earlier this year.
“Introducing the Northern Destruction Tour!! We can’t wait to embark on our Canadian tour and bring great shows to our Canadian fans. But this is only the beginning. This September we will journey to Toronto and partake in the Spread the Metal Festival as a kick-off to part two of the Northern Destruction! See you on the road!!” comments vocalist Roxanne Gordey.

No good could possibly come out of the frigid Northern lands of Alberta, you say? Well, sorry to tell you, there’s an exception to every rule. Enter smoldering power-thrash five-piece Edge of Attack.
Combining haunting vocals, shredding guitars, complex bass lines, furious drumming and choral and symphonic arrangements with surprising depth, Edge of Attack has not only taken the metal scene by storm, but also by surprise. Having been featured in Revolver magazine, you’d think the band has surely been around for years, but truth be told, they’ve accomplished all this while releasing no more than two singles.
Representing the changes that have taken place and the reinvention of Edge of Attack’s sound, the self-titled album, which was produced by guitarist/vocalist Jurekk Whipple himself and is soon to be released with Spread the Metal Records, is, simply put, a reawakening and rebirthing of power metal with thrash creeping its way into the picture.

LINEUP ANNOUNCED FOR TORONTO “SPREAD THE METAL FESTIVAL 2013
This September 7th and 8th, Spread the Metal Records will host one of its annual “Spread the Metal Festival” in Toronto, ON.
The festival will see 100% of its profits donated to Kiva, a non-profit organization, which helps people around the world to lift themselves out of poverty.
Headlining the festival will be Suffocation, with additional headliners to be announced at a later date. Direct support will be provided by The Agonist,Augury and Skull Fist.
Additional support bands include Beheading of a King, The Catalyst, Edge of Attack, Deathpoint, Crimson Shadows, Nephelium, Hallows Die, Evertrapped, Answer With Metal and Sanktuary.
To complement the festival itself, the label is launching a crowd funding campaign in order to raise additional funds for Kiva.
Among the perks are signed albums and set lists from every band at the festival (including some that aren’t), guitar picks, album downloads, etc. As well, fans will have the chance to attend the sound check, hang out with the headliner of their choice, and even punch a record label exec! Wacken Metal Battle Canada is proud to announce that Warmachine and The Unborn Dead along with Trainwreck Architect and Fallstaf have advanced from their qualifying rounds in Toronto and Montreal.
We like to address the following error in calculation of last night’s score sheet for Montreal’s round 2 of qualifying.
“Following an analysis of the results of last night’s Wacken Metal Battle Canada in Montreal, an error of calculations/decimals was found. A double decimal point drew attention to a wrongly entered score. The review of the judges handwritten scores and subsequent decimal correction revealed that the winners of the night were FALLSTAF (total: 7.8325) over TRAINWRECK ARCHITECT (total: 7.7275).
We would like to sincerely apologize for the confusion, and to rectify the situation we invite both Fallstaf AND Trainwreck Architect to participate in the semi-finals taking place on June 7th, 2013 at Coop Katacombes.
