EPK – Black Daggers – Phantasmagoria (2023)

Publicist – Jon Asher – jon[@]ashermediarelations[.]com

“This record is really an album that’s a concept record. It follows our protagonist who’s really no one and everyone. The character makes a deal with the Devil and it quickly goes awry while he sees his life unraveling. The album is as much about struggling with vices as it is about dealing with depression and addiction. I wanted to really dig into the idea of drug-induced psychosis and explore where that might lead to paranoia and further self-destruction. I think in some ways the character will be relatable to people who’ve dealt with mental health issues or lived with addictions. The inner demons people battle that scratch the surface. Visually, I really wanted to capture that same element through the use of diffusion videos with the help of artificial intelligence. I self-produced all the visuals on this record and they are releasing alongside the singles.” – Valentine Vandal – Black Daggers

“The ideas, the story, the connection to the characters are there as if one is reading a book or watching a movie. Phantasmagoria is cohesive in its songs, music, and mood and that cohesiveness of Phantasmagoria is what makes the debut album from Black Daggers brilliant.” Amplify The Noise

“Don’t get it twisted, this band be jammin’ – Facts” – Timbaland

“Solid. God knows we need more music like this, especially in Canada. If you’re into anything from Alice in Chains and Soundgarden to Mastodon and Big Wreck, this is for you.” – Alan Cross – Undiscovered Gem of the Week – Corus Media

“‘Surfin’ a Vibe’ really conjures a dark, horror-laced image. The raw vocals perfectly capture the feeling of impactful shock rock. I like the bold confidence and furious brutality. It’s well-structured but raucous.” — What CRB thought of ‘Surfin’ a Vibe’

“I really like what they did with the solo coming in a bar early. Really interesting stuff. Song of the night!” – @the_ghosthouse (Twitch)

About The Album Artwork:

It was shot at the abandoned Riverview Hospital (Matrix, Supernatural, The X Files, Butterfly Effect, Deadpool 2, Final Destination 2)

About the album as a whole (LYRICALLY & MUSICALLY):

The album is about a Faustian Bargain gone awry. Musically it is a mix of genres that borrow from many familiar sounds but sounds like nothing before it.

Track by Track (LYRICALLY & MUSICALLY)

1. Best I’ve Got
The song is about feeling like you’ve given everything you can, and nothing is ever good enough. It was really a cathartic song to write, and I feel like many people could relate to that.

2. These Broken Bones
These Broken Bones starts off with our character at a low point in his life. He is feeling very desperate and alone and decides to bargain with the Devil. Midway through the song, it switches to the Devil’s perspective, where he outlines the deal that has been made.

3. Surfin’ A Vibe
This songs lyrics can really be interpreted in a number of different ways. When I was writing it the idea behind it was the character was feeling “high” with a feeling of euphoria, following his deal with the Devil. I think it could also be loosely interpreted as a struggle with addiction and it was really meant to paint the picture of the character being very manic, and making poor life choices.

4. Voices
With Voices I really tried to create the feeling of someone who is losing touch with reality and made a conscious effort to change up the vocal delivery, and I used two different styles of singing to capture the different voices in his head. This song is also a nod vocally to the late Mark Lanegan.

5. I’m Here
This song picks up with our character after he has fully gone off the deep end. We find him locked away in a mental institution, plotting his escape. At this point, he doesn’t believe there is anything wrong with himself but after escaping, he realizes how insane he truly is.

6. Wasted
This song is from the point of view of speaking to your inner demons, and this song freely switches from one to the other. It’s not meant to be clear who is the one speaking at any given point, but it’s a conversation in the mirror. I think this is a relatable concept for people who struggle with their own inner demons.

7. City Limits
We reach the final chapter for our character where he decides he made a mistake by making the deal with the Devil and tries to run away and escape from his fate. Unfortunately, by this point, it is already too late and the Devil comes calling. This song is kind of a warning about addiction and the path it can lead you down, and the destruction it can inevitably cause.

8. Carpe Diem
This is our hero character’s swan song. At this point, he is already dead, and he is reflecting on the time he wasted and the things he didn’t get to say, or do. This song is one I collaborated on with Marek Forysinski (Engineer, Rated R – Queens Of The Stone Age).

Montreal, QC – October 20, 2023

Italian / Malaysian Symphonic Power Metallers SILENT ANGEL Offer Their “Tears of Celestine”

New Album “Unyielding, Unrelenting” Out Nov 24th, 2023

Italian / Malaysian-based band Silent Angel is unveiling the second single “Tears of Celestine” accompanied by a lyric video in support of their forthcoming debut album “Unyielding, Unrelenting” to be released on Rockshots Records this coming November 2023.

“I wrote this song around 2014 / 2015 during the early days of the reforming of Silent Angel. Believe it or not, I wrote the music, structure, flow, and lyrics all in under 10 minutes. Everything just came together as a whole package almost instantly. All I did was close my eyes, freed my mind and I just penned the words onto paper and everything just flowed out like honey. The intro section became the core of the whole song and as I was strumming along to the chords, the pre-chorus and chorus sections just fell into place like perfect fit puzzle pieces. The guitar solo just flowed into my being almost instantly as well right after the musical idea was nailed down. It was one of the rare moments where I could execute what I conceptualized in my mind on the spot.” adds guitarist Eric “StormBlade” Poon.

An international collective Silent Angel, an Italian / Malaysian-based band that has its foundations deeply rooted in power and symphonic metal with a mix of progressive along with Japanese metal influence. Silent Angel’s debut album “Unyielding, Unrelenting” has been a long time coming. Working on a shoestring budget, Silent Angel started off by recording some demos and put out a roughly recorded EP just to see if the music had potential and it did. Changing their lineup along with the global pandemic setting things back by a few years, through all the trials and tribulations, their hard work, dedication, and efforts are finally coming to fruition. Immerse yourself in the music and let it give you the strength and courage to face your demons and overcome adversity. There will be a Silent Angel, a guardian, a protector that will give you that sliver of hope and nudge to push on and fight for a better future as you listen to ten tracks of power/symphonic metal. “Unyielding, Unrelenting” offers a lot of pleasant vintage vibes, magnificent guitar solos, and hammering drums, but also sentimental and quiet moments and unique melody lines with its soaring duo vocals and energetic rock singing from Claudia Beltrame, frontwoman for Italian symphonic prog band, Degrees Of Truth and Gracie Shona, well known from the Malaysian club scene.

“This is definitely the most time ever spent on a music project for me, but I certainly believe in the music and the individuals that I am currently working with to make this dream a reality. The tracks are actually a selection of songs that I wrote back in the late 90s until the resurgence and reformation of Silent Angel in 2015 and subsequently, resumed writing and composing the music, lyrics, and song arrangement. I can safely say that our journey has officially begun and I, on behalf of the whole band hope that our fans and supporters from across the world will truly enjoy this labour of love of ours.” adds Eric Poon.

Recommended for fans of power and symphonic metal and bands such as Iron Maiden, Helloween, Stratovarius, Rhapsody, and Hammerfall, Silent Angel’s “Unyielding, Unrelenting” is due out on November 24th from Rockshots Records.

About: Originally formed in 2000, and taking over a decade-long hiatus, the band returned in 2015 with a fresh new lineup and released two EPs along with gaining support on American, Canadian, Italian, Australian, and UK radio stations. The band was also honoured with recording a track for Samsung’s Milk Music Ad Campaign, plus performing a Malaysian tour where they headlined the IDX SummerFest, which was followed by two tours of Japan.

After the Japan tours, Silent Angel returned to the studios to record their full-length album but unfortunately were struck with tragedy with the untimely passing of their bass player putting the recording on pause.

Fast forward to 2020, Silent Angel brought in multi-award-winning recording and mixing engineer, Rahmad Kamikaze as the co-producer and welcomed bassist Dauz and professional drum sessionist PAE.

Moving in 2021, the beautiful and talented Italian soprano powerhouse Claudia Beltrame joined the band lineup, and later on with Italian keyboard and synth wizard, Davide Scuteri contributing his talent to the music, we’re now poised to unleash our full-length masterpiece upon the world in the very capable hands of our record label, Rockshots Records!

0 DEORBIT Mimic The Moving Earth On Next Epic “Terrakinetic” Off Instrumental Prog Doom Album “Retrogradient”

NEWS RELEASE

Montreal, QC – October 19, 2023

DEORBIT Mimic The Moving Earth On Next Epic “Terrakinetic”

New Album “Retrogradient” Out Nov 10th, 2023

Milwaukee, WI, USA’s Deorbit is an enigmatic musical journey set to captivate listeners with its thought-provoking compositions and unique blend of genres. Sonic boundaries will be pushed with the new album “Retrogradient” – a distinctive collection of tracks that invites audiences to delve into the cosmos, where the boundaries of stone replace the vastness of the sky. The second single off this whirlwind of a release is “Terrakinetic”, which the band comments on, along with the album:

“The album ebbs and flows through a planetary adventure, from the origins of humanity during the time of the big bang, to the depths of the molten core, onwards to the atmosphere, and everything in between through a natural lens and one that is more surreal. The single “Terrakinetic” is lumbering and focused on a simple groove, mimicking the mechanics of moving the earth.”

Inspired by the profound words of Carl Sagan, who once said, “The cosmos is within us. We are made of star-stuff. We are a way for the universe to know itself”, Deorbit‘s music and album art aim to embody this sentiment. “Retrogradient” seamlessly balances heaviness and clarity, offering complex musicality without compromising the significance of songwriting.

Deorbit‘s creative process begins with the composition of all songs on the guitar, followed by collaborative arrangements with the band members, who contribute their bass and drum parts. Subsequently, harmonic elements are meticulously added to complete the compositions.

Deorbit invites listeners to embark on an unparalleled sonic journey that challenges the boundaries of conventional music, it is especially recommended for fans of Hum, The Fucking Champs, and Voivod.

Inspired By True Crime… NARCOTIC WASTELAND’s New Music Video Explores “Sex, Lies & DNA”

+ Beer Metal Fest (Wichita, KS – Oct 27th)

Exploring dark truth, along with spewing relentless death and thrash riffs, renowned metal band Narcotic Wasteland, led by the talented Dallas Toler-Wade (ex-Nile) unleashes their latest music video for their chilling new single entitled “Sex, Lies & DNA” featuring guest vocals from Andrea_N_Black. Showcasing the band’s signature intense sound, with haunting lyrics, the video delves into the intriguing world of true crime.

Directed by bassist Kenji Tsunami, also of Tsunami Films, the video was shot at various locations during the band’s summer tour across the USA and Canada.

“This video has some real grit to it… One of the venues we played at on the tour had an electric chair and a really creepy green room area that looked like a place where someone could be murdered. At that point, the band was like this is perfect! It fits the concept of Sex Lies and DNA. I am very happy with how the song and video turned out, and I cannot stress enough how proud I am of this band and this video!” adds Toler-Wade.

Check out the video for “Sex, Lies & DNA” via its worldwide premiere on Decibel Magazine HERE.

Captivating audiences with its thought-provoking themes and powerful instrumentation, “Sex, Lies & DNA” will be on the band’s forthcoming third full-length “Digital Cordyceps” out on Megaforce Records in 2024 (release date TBD).

Mosh your way to the forest of thrash where the Coven awaits for you to join “The Serpent’s Cycle”, the latest music video for the title track from Vancouver’, BC’s Hyperia forthcoming third full-length out on November 17th.

“This is the first song that was fully written for the album. It is a heavy and unrelenting track that encompasses everything Hyperia is about – intricate guitar work, heavy-hitting bass, fast drums, and wailing powerful vocals, a perfect title track to show what the album is all about.” adds the band.

Watch the video for “The Serpent’s Cycle” at https://youtu.be/K1O364D92Z8

Hyperia’s new thrash attack “The Serpent’s Cycle” marks a new era for Hyperia. This album has some of the most aggressive thrash metal the band has ever written paired with lots of melodic vocal and guitar work along with a new invigorating lineup that welcomes Ryan Idris on drums and Jon Power on bass to join husband and wife Colin and Marlee Ryley. It consists of everything Hyperia stands for shred, speed, and intricacy.

Hyperia wants fans to have their faces blown off by “The Serpent’s Cycle”. The ten-track album (plus a cover of Heart’s ‘Crazy On You’) will be appreciated by musicians and non-musicians alike. The songs vary enough to keep the pacing fresh throughout and there’s something for everyone on it.

When it comes to live performances, Hyperia takes pride in making them memorable and thinks the visual aspect is equally if not more important than the music. Especially with thrash metal, they want to create a party atmosphere – when all of them are having a genuinely fun time on stage they think it encourages the audience to go hard too. This energy is conveyed through “The Serpent’s Cycle”, which is recommended for fans of Havok, Municipal Waste, Lost Society, and Children Of Bodom.

“The Serpent’s Cycle” is due out on November 17, 2023, and is available for pre-order at https://hyperiametal.bandcamp.com.

“If you prefer your metal loud, dark and just a touch campy (and who doesn’t?), then Calgary-turned-Vancouver rockers Hyperia are planning to deliver with Silhouettes of Horror, the follow-up to 2020’s equally furious and equally fun Insanitorium. First single “Operation Midnight” is an unrelenting barrage of riffage held down by Marlee Ryley’s throat-blistering vocals.” – Exclaim! – One of Exclaim!’s most anticipated albums of 2022

“With their second album Silhouettes Of Horror, Canadian thrashers Hyperia doubled down on the most ferocious elements of their sound to achieve a sound that owed more than a passing nod to Tetonic thrashers Kreator or Destruction. The fact vocalist Marlee Ryley can deliver blackened snarls with as much gusto as trad-metal histrionics helped them stand out from the crowd, firmly establishing Hyperia as promising up-and-comers in the wide world of thrash. RH” – Metal Hammer – The top 10 best thrash metal albums of 2022

“Recent Calgary-to-Vancouver transplants Hyperia are all about thrashing in a style inherent to ’80s basketball shoes, shredded denim, battle jackets and those studded gauntlets that may look cool, but are likely more responsible for forearm rashes than being a gateway to one-night stands. Imagine classic Megadeth, “Toxic Waltz”-era Exodus, Annihilator and Anthrax alongside Exmortus, Havok, Warbringer, Violator, Crisix and others with a new-school take on an old-school sound.” – Decibel Mag

“Energetic, melodic, fast, psychotic, and dynamic are just some of the elements that make Silhouettes of Horror an album that old and new fans of thrash, NWoBHM, and power metal will appreciate. The band even included a cover homage of Abba’s Gimme Gimme Gimme.” – Sentinel Daily

“All in all, Silhouettes of Horror gave me what I want for from a modern melodic thrash album. It’s fun, it doesn’t take itself too seriously, and it’s got cool stories to tell.” – Angry Metal Guy

Canada’s HATRED REIGNS Forges A Path of Extreme Musical Mastery With “Departing Acheron”

New Album “Awaken The Ancients” Out December 1st, 2023

L-R – Jeff Calder – Guitars, Adam Semler – Bass & Vocals, Neil Grandy – Drums, Mitchi Dimitriadis – Vocals

Hatred Reigns, an uncompromising force hailing from the Ottawa Capital Region of Ontario introduced themselves with force back in 2018 with their concept debut “Realm I: Affliction”, which ushered listeners into the depths of Hell. This year, they will continue their descent with “Awaken The Ancients”, the first single being “Departing Acheron” presented now with a music video. The lyrics on the album are inspired by the film “What Dreams May Come”, the novels Dante’s “Inferno”, John Milton’s “Paradise Lost”, and the mental anguish and exploits that many of us experience but choose life vs succumbing to the ever-looming darkness. The band comments on the meaning behind the single:

“Approaching the shores of Necropia, the realm of judgment, the vessel sails closer to its destination. The Ancients intensify their efforts to deceive and ensnare the voyagers. Their intention is to imprison these souls, subjecting them to a fate dictated by the Ancients themselves, just before they face their ultimate judgment.”

Edmonton’s DEGENERATOR Presents A Sonic Experiment In “Eternalism”

Debut Album “The Abyssal Throne” Out Nov 24th, 2023

L-R – Jonathan Webster – Drums, Barrett Klesko – Vocals, Guitar, Bass

Buckle up for a relentless journey into aggressive alt-rock as Edmonton’s sonic titans Degenerator, unveils their latest creation, “The Abyssal Throne.” Led by Barrett Klesko (All Else Fails) on vocals, guitar, and bass, along with drummer Jonathan Webster (Pass of Era, ex-Striker), this highly anticipated debut release takes listeners on an exhilarating ride through stoner, sludge, grunge, and goth rock, pushing the boundaries of alternative music. The first single is “Eternalism”, which Klesko comments on:

“Time slips away fast. Aggression and melody. Balance the darkness. This was the first song crafted for the album, and it captures the essence of the album, both musically and lyrically. I am exploring the conflict between being stuck in the past and living only in the now. It starts fast, hits hard, but carries a depth of melody and thought that goes beyond a standard set of 4/4 metal riffs and faux melancholia.”

Klesko describes the project as a journey to unleash the noise that was haunting his mind. He aimed to capture the essence of the old Smashing Pumpkins, with their distorted and fuzzy guitars, while infusing a touch of gothic darkness that adds a unique and appealing layer to their sound.

Both Klesko and Webster boast prolific careers in the international music community, contributing their talents to bands such as Striker, All Else Fails, The Order of Chaos, Tyler Dory Trio, and more. Together, they form a musical powerhouse that combines their expertise into an extraordinary sonic tapestry.

“The Abyssal Throne” is more than just an album; it’s a testament to the unyielding creativity and dedication of two musicians driven by a shared passion for sonic exploration. It is recommended for fans of Baroness, Type O Negative and Alice in Chains.

EPK – Degenerator – The Abyssal Throne (2023)

Publicist – Jon Asher – jon[@]ashermediarelations[.]com

“Degenerator is a sonic experiment that I conducted to unleash the noise that was haunting my mind. I wanted to capture the essence of the old Smashing Pumpkins, with their distorted and fuzzy guitars, but also add a touch of gothic darkness that I find appealing. This album is a radical departure from anything I have produced before. It’s more somber, but not as heavy, as All Else Fails, slower, but also more profound than the Misfires, and though it has more order than my other project The Secret Places of the Earth, it still keeps some of the mystery. I hope my following fans and unfamiliar ones can discover a new facet of my creativity and a new bond with the art that I make.” – Barrett Klesko – Degenerator

““Eternalism,” hits the thunder with a brutality that is of yet unmatched in its synchronicity.” – The Median Man

“What I enjoy about The Abyssal Throne is the blending of not only genres, but influences. Listen closely and one could pick up echoes of bands like Nine In Nails, Tool, Marilyn Manson, Smashing Pumpkins, Bush, Alice in Chains and more. The Abyssal Throne is a wonderful blend of melodies and atmospheres, and is an authentic aural journey that’s fuelled by raw creative talent.” – Amplify The Noise

“There is a feeling of sorrow that pervades the record, but this is tempered by big drumming (“The Spiral”), compelling rhythms (“Hiraeth”), winding snake-like riffs (“Eternalism”), rumbling crescendos (“Heart Like a Hole”), and consoling vocals (“For Every Truth”). The guitar play is outstanding throughout, with plenty of thoughtful touches (“Neurotonic”) and effective emotional moments (“A Way Out”) reminiscent of Jerry Cantrell. There is great musical inventiveness on display here, with a deft blend of influences. An ideal vibe for this foggy, cloud-covered Thanksgiving Day. Degenerator’s new spin The Abyssal Throne is an emotionally moving album, worthy of being on a playlist with the likes of Chevelle, Young Hunter, Ancient VVisdom, Foot, and Mars Red Sky. Look for it this Friday, November 24th, and take it out for a long drive on a gloomy morning.” – Doomed and Stoned

“The cut “Neurotonic” culled from the first half of The Abyssal Throne is likewise atmospheric and catchy. In some of its harder moments, there’s a sense of Degenerator The Abyssal Thronemetallic emotionalism that reminds of Katatonia, but by and large Degenerator — that’s vocalist, guitarist and bassist Barrett Klesko and drummer Jonathan Webster — keep the vibe geared toward a heavy alternative rock, not quite stoner or even prog-stoner, but certainly aware of and wiling to be led by its riff, and the melody of the vocals in hook digs into pop hookmaking without sounding ridiculous, and that’s something of a triumph itself. In combination with the sharper-edged “Eternalism,” the album-opener and prior single, it portrays the band as experienced songwriters at the relative outset of developing an already-broad sound.” – The Obelisk

“The Abyssal Throne is remarkable work. Consistent but varied, old-school but without exaggerating the homage, clear of production, and powerful of transmission. Like a Billy Corgan working in concert with the late Chris Cornell on behalf of a subsidiary of 4AD, DEGENERATOR opens its mind, and lets wander some symptomatic psychedelic diversions of the parentage between Black SABBATH and the Seattle wave, sometimes citing MILK, BARONESS, and other witnesses of an era of crossbreeding pushed to its extremes.” Metalnews.fr

“With The Abyssal Throne, Degenerator show that this new project is clearly designed to make an impression! There’s a clear desire to offer a wide range of music that retains a strong overall identity and invites the soul to travel. We encourage you to jump on it as soon as it’s released, and to join us in hoping that the Canadian duo decide to cross the ocean for a European tour. It’s a great success that we’ll be playing over and over again to take in all its subtleties.” – Sounding Shivers

About The Album Artwork:

I have been really fascinated with recent trends in AI artwork and how it can be used as a tool for artists to create new ideas, I basically ran prompts until I found something that reflected the way this music makes me feel, and then refined it using traditional methods until I began to perceive a level of depth that reflected the music. It reminds me of the old days when I used to experiment with different media and techniques and try to capture the essence of my emotions in a visual form.

About The Album (LYRICALLY & MUSICALLY):

Degenerator is a sonic experiment that I conducted to unleash the noise that was haunting my mind. I wanted to capture the essence of retro The Smashing Pumpkins, with their saturated fuzzy guitars, but also add a touch of gothic darkness that I find deeply appealing. Interestingly, we started with the drums and then built everything else on top of them. The result is a contrast to anything I have done before. It’s darker, but not as heavy, as All Else Fails, slower, but more existentially profound than the Misfires, and though it has more Structure than The Secret Places of the Earth, it retains some of the mystery.

The Abyssal Throne is a lyrical journey of how I fit in the cosmic scheme. It touches on themes of time, madness, despair, and contrasting dark and light. The music, which came first, was shaped to match these themes.

Track By Track Explanation (LYRICALLY & MUSICALLY):

The Abyssal Thorone in Haikus

1. Eternalism:
Time slips away fast
Aggression and melody
Balance the darkness

2. Finality:
A crow seeks the end
The last human soul to guide
To the afterlife

3. The Day that Never Comes:
We postpone our lives
For a tomorrow unknown
But we miss today

4. Darkness Prevails:
We chase empty dreams
Money and happiness bought
But all for nothing

5. Neurotonic:
Loss haunts our hearts
We must cherish our loved ones
Before they are gone

6. The Children of the Night:
They resist tyranny
Sacrificing their own lives
We owe them our all

7. Hiraeth:
A place in my heart
That I can never return
Hiraeth calls me

8. The Spiral:
A mind in anguish
Resists the modern culture
Seeks a different path

9. Hearth Like a Hole:
Alone in the world
Searching for a purpose
Meaning is a lie

10. For Every Truth:
We tell ourselves lies
We believe them to be true
But truth always wins

11. A Way Out:
Eat the rich eat the
Rich eat the rich eat the rich
Eat the rich eat them

Story Angles – Fun Facts About The Band:

1. This album started with the drums, more specifically the scratch tracks for Pass of Era’s new album for whom Jono also drums. They have been re-written since, but you can definitely hear the seeds of the grooves in their recent album “A Pagentry of Inner Violence”

2. A Common theme of this album is existentialism, which Barrett pulls a lot from in his writing, stemming from his severe struggles with mental illness over the years.

3. The guitar sounds on this album started as a personal experiment to collect and re-create classic gear to simulate the tones that Billy Corgan crafted on The Smashing Pumkpins’ album Siamese Dream. It was tweaked to modernize it a bit, but still retains a lot of the characteristics.

4. This album is fully DIY; Barrett and Jono Recorded their parts in their personal studios and Jono mixed and mastered it.

5. The last time Barrett and Jono shared the stage musically was in Guwahati, India in 2019.

Prepare to have your senses shattered as Canada’s Display Of Decay unveils the chaos and power that can only be found in death metal in their sixth album “Vitriol” due out on Friday, October 20th from Gore House Productions.

Before it is officially unleashed, you can check out the whole album via its full-stream premiere on NoCleanSinging HERE.

The eight tracks on “Vitriol” will take listeners through distorted riffs colliding with thunderous percussion, creating a maelstrom of sound that leaves no room for compromise. The lyrical content covers a variety of topics ranging from pop culture references like Diablo & Mass Effect to darker undertones of acts of senseless violence and brutality. The band explains more:

“At long last, we are excited to finally announce our long-awaited new record and 6th installment into the discography, Vitriol! This album took a lot of the technical elements of ‘Art in Mutilation’ and blended them with the classic ‘DOD’ style of ‘bang your head, groovy riffs.’ I believe this album follows the trajectory our style has grown over the years, whilst still paying homage to the first few records of our discography.”

“Vitriol” was mixed and mastered by Christian Donaldson (Cryptopsy) and assistant mix engineer Dominic Grimard. The cover art was done by Caelan Stokkermans with graphic design by Logan Wilson. The writing process consists of Sean Watson (Guitar – Vocals) and Brandon Siefert (Bass) slinging riffs back and forth, and getting a rough layout done to bring to the table. With the return of Logan Wilson halfway through the process, it’s become more of a unified process. ‘Familial Feast’ as an example, was written while they were tracking the record, and after they ended up scrapping a tune halfway through the recording process, this one came together extremely well.

“Vitriol” was born of rage and spite fueled further by the chaos and uncertainty felt worldwide over the last few years. It is recommended for fans of Pantera, Morbid Angel, and Cannibal Corpse.

“Vitriol” will be available on October 20, 2023, via Gore House Productions and is available for pre-order (Vinyl/ CD/ Digital) at https://orcd.co/vitriol
