0 The Mountain Man – Bloodlust EP
The Mountain Man review on Ringmaster review
Like brawling with a bear, the Bloodlust EP leaves concussive destruction and raw mayhem in its wake. It relentlessly ravages and crushes with five tracks of metal ferocity but like an unbridled storm it also leaves the senses energised and hungry for more. The release is the debut assault from Canadian band The Mountain Man; an introduction to a new primal force with potential swinging from every mighty rhythmic blow and sonic tirade.
Hailing from Vancouver, The Mountain Man draws on inspirations from the likes of The Black Dahlia Murder, Crowbar, Gojira, Lamb of God, and Black Sabbath for their ravenous sound. They are essences easily heard within the band’s first encounter but no more so than the band’s own distinctive and carnivorous imagination and raging intensity. Since forming, the band has earned a potent reputation for a live presence which has seen them play with the likes of…

About:
The cloudy beginnings of VESPERIA lay etched in the gorged bodies of former musical projects among the now four-member band. Twisting, writhing and forcing their aural onslaught upon metal audiences across the globe have sincerely ensured the band’s continuity through all the harsh and arduous battles modern metal bands are bound to encounter in their tenures.
Established in 2012 by vocalist/ bassist Morgan Rider, the sound, direction and theme of the music quickly and naturally evolved into the style of fierce and heroic metal the band is now known and praised for.
Shortly after releasing their first full-length album Voyage from Vinland, VESPERIA redefined themselves and further focused their direction with the 2012 demo, The Swordsman. In 2013, the band independently funded and released their 2nd full-length album An Olden Tale, drawing the ears and attention of metal fans around the world and demonstrating their true mastery of their craft. During that same year, the band also independently funded and completed several Canadian tours to support the album.
Early 2015 saw the band enter the studio once again to record some demo material, which would become The Iron Tempests EP. During this time, the band toured Canada from coast to coast and also made an appearance at Wacken Open Air in Germany, where they won the title of 2015 International Wacken Battle Champions, a second time win for the band’s frontman, Morgan.
With their most fierce music written to date and a bounty of opportunity awaiting, VESPERIA continue to hungrily eye 2015 as the year they will make their mark upon the Earth.

0 Total Metal Radio – Psychosin interviews: Kami van halst of Van halst
0 Real Rock Show #RRS7 – March 17, 2016 w/ Demise of The Crown, Projekt F, Rapheumets Well
0 Wicked Channel – Van Halst – World of Make Believe
World of Make Believe takes the listener on a journey. We get our introduction to the band thru the opening track called “ The End”. It starts off with some soundscape journey before the music kicks in. There is no doubt that this record is going to be compared to a mix of Marilyn Manson meets In This Moment, from the harmonies, to the shout along choruses and even the clever way the music hits you. Kami has so much passion that I feel every track she set out to give people a different style, to throw them off. I can picture most of this record being played on modern rock radio heavily.

0 The Kill Chain Blog – Éohum – Ealdfaeder (EP)
‘Ealdfaeder’ is a high quality EP, showing Eohum to be a force to watch out for in the future. The song writing is great, the fury is real and the little additions make it all the more special. I love this record, and so should you.
