It’s psychedelic, it’s epic, it’s heavy, and it is full blast ballsy. Never in my life have I heard metal presented in such an amalgamated and boldly arranged fashion. Rich, lush, complex, and adroit, An Outsider is a masterful display of songwriting that harnesses idiosyncrasy with grace and aggression with integrity.

DEMISE OF THE CROWN – Demise of the Crown (Self Released)
I absolutely love great power metal. I also love great progressive as well as traditional metal. Well Canada’s Demise of the Crown combines all those styles like no other band. Imagine Dream Theater, Queensryche and Judas Priest all combining to make one awesome metal album. The vocals have great highs and melodic parts while the fantasticguitar work has fast sweeping leads and heavy riffs as well. The whole production is top notch. Every song keeps you wanting more and more. They all flow like a well-oiled machine. There’s no reason that these guys shouldn’t be huge. There’s so many power metal bands out there, and a lot of them are good, but Demise of the Crown are in a class all their own. While having a nod to some of the great metal bands they have a complete new and fresh sound. I like the way Canada is putting out great metal bands. With bands like Sanktuary, Striker, and now Demise of the Crown, Canada is definitely making a good run for the top of the metal mountain. Go and get this release and check out their new video as well. Demise of the Crown is an awesome metal band that will no doubt be making huge waves worldwide. (Groovy the Metal Chicken)

We broke all the rules and wrote our own, and this album is all about perseverance and going out there and getting shit done. We crossed all the lines we could find and gladly jumped outside of typical genre limits. We wanted something new and fresh, and no one could hold us back this time. We hope you enjoy the new album, it’s 100% pure Striker”
‘Stand In The Fire’ is STRIKER‘s most uncompromising record to date. A record packed with incredible riffs and colossal anthems, all laced together with epic harmonies. Inspired by legendary bands like Iron Maiden, Striker wears their hearts firmly on their battle jackets, soaking up the power and influence of classic rock and metal.
The band; Dan Clearly (vocals) Tim Brown (lead/rhythm guitars) William Wallace (bass) Adam Brown (drums) recorded the album themselves with the help of Randy Black (who filled in on drums while Adam was away…) and mixing genius Frederik Nordstrom (Bring Me The Horizon, In Flames, Opeth) giving them not only the time and space needed but the freedom to set up the release direct to fans worldwide.

OUT NOW! Seattle Prog Metal RHINE Welcome ‘An Outsider’

L-R – Gabe Tachell – Guitar/Vocals, James Porter – Bass, Carlos Delgado – Drums, Alex Smolin – Guitar – Photo Credit – Megan Treasure – MeganTreasure.com

It’s time to invite that stranger of sound through your door and explore with open ears what they have to offer from Seattle’s experimental prog metal RHINE and their new album ‘An Outsider’ out now as of February 5th and available on CD and digital download here. ‘An Outsider’ is the follow up to RHINE‘s 2011 debut ‘Duality’, which was first a solo effort by band founder Gabriel Tachell (guitar and vocals) whom is now joined by Alex Smolin on guitar (ex-Metameric), James Porter on bass (Ideofone), and Carlos Delgado (Inferion, ex-Death Crowned King) to collaborate on this project.
A full album stream can be heard at the following links onBandcamp and Soundcloud.
Vocalist/guitarist Gabe Tachell comments about the release:
“The name An Outsider is about the struggle that comes with being different, it’s a love/hate situation. You want to shine but you’re afraid of it at the same time. You want to create trends, not follow them, but it’s scary to be the first one. It also has to do with social struggles and always feeling like a stranger. The album isn’t entirely cohesive though, no song is alike, we experiment a lot with mixing genres. It’s really all over the map emotionally too, not just angry and dark, but sometimes totally ironic or sometimes very deep and inspiring. It mixes in emotions you wouldn’t typically hear on a metal record like joy and nostalgia. The listening experience is a journey that won’t get you worn out on a single emotion, instead it is dynamic like we are as humans.”

Vocalist Sean Jenkins comments:
“This new release is Part 2 of a trilogy EP concept we’ve been working on since 2013. These four new songs continue to develop our storyline of ‘The Immortalist’ and we look forward to finishing our trilogy EP with a release of Part 3 by the end of this year. The song ‘DMT’ features guest vocals by Björn ‘Speed’ Strid of Soilwork and we think he did an amazing performance. Thanks to the pro mixing/mastering skills of Chris Donaldson (Cryptopsy) at The Grid. We couldn’t be happier with how this entire EP turned out.”
The Immortalist – Trilogy Overview
DIVINITY have decided to release a full-length album in a different way. They are going to create a 3 part series of 4-song EPs that will develop a full length concept album they are calling ‘The Immortalist’. Doing an Indiegogo campaign in 2012, the band was able to gather enough support to get the production rolling. In April 2013, the band released the first of three EPs entitled, ‘The Immortalist, Part 1 – Awestruck’, which put the trilogy EP idea into motion. With ‘The Immortalist, Part 2 –Momentum’ being released in early February 2016, this leaves Part 3 left to complete and the band is already on top of the writing/recording process for the final 4 songs. Once all 3 EPs are complete, DIVINITY will release an LP version as a 12 song full-length album which is slated to be released later this year.

About:
DIVINITY is made up of 5 musicians with 4 of them being original members of nearly 20 years of playing together. They’ve been described as Progressive Death Metal and compared to bands such as Soilwork, Strapping Young Lad, Death, and Fear Factory.
Current Line-up:
Sean Jenkins – Vocals
Jeff Waite – Vocals
James Duncan – Guitars
Brett Duncan – Drums
Keith Branston – Bass
DIVINITY, based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, started in 1997 and began playing live shows in 1999. In 2001, the band released its first EP album called “Intensify”, which received a lot of local (Canadian) praise. A music video was released for the song “World of Pain” in 2003.
Fast forward to 2007, DIVINITY independently releases their first full-length album called “Allegory” and is picked up by Nuclear Blast Records just 3 months after the independent release. Obviously, this was a major turning point for the band!
In 2008, DIVINITY took on it’s first major tour by joining the Summer Slaughter Canada tour. This gave them the opportunity to connect to high-caliber booking agents and other acts such as Dying Fetus, Whitechapel, and Necrophagist.
Then in 2010, DIVINITY spent its time creating their 2nd full-length album called “The Singularity”,which was released under Candlelight Records with a very positive response from numerous reviewers and listeners. Since the release of The Singularity, DIVINITY has toured Canada numerous times over and has received countless support and praise from around the world.
Currently, The band looks forward to finishing the release of The Immortalist Trilogy and doing follow up touring to support it later this year!
