Selbst auf der relativ kurzen Spieldauer von gut 30 Minuten schaffen ÈOHUM es, gewaltig Arsch zu treten und sagen dabei deutlich mehr als andere Bands Die Band schafft es dabei gekonnt, den Hörer von der ersten Minute an zu umklammern und nicht mehr loszulassen.

‘Crown of Thorns’ is the best track on the album, coming in just under five minutes, it too starts off in symphonic ‘holy shit, the sea is parting’ fashion and catapults into a brutal double bass, rhythmic ensemble of beauty.
Overall, this is a solid album and I’m glad I got to review it. I’ll be listening to it well after this review is published.

Vancouver’s rugged outdoors-metallers, The Mountain Man, deliver a diverse blend of hard-hitting music, paying homage to the Sasquatch through crushing riffs and blaring drums. This band is all Canadian; celebrating camping, plaid, beer, and above all else energetic metal. Parker (ex-BRAUHEIST) gets straight to the point with his raw, gruff vocals and lyrics filled with animosity that cut through the instruments like an unyielding axe. Each song is like a hand-drawn map guiding fans through the British Columbian wilderness. While the first half is complete, the second half is up to the listener to build their own path and take what they will from each track.
The band developed their sound from listening to groups like The Black Dahlia Murder, Crowbar, Gojira, Lamb of God, and Black Sabbath, taking to heart the importance of dedicating their lives to their craft. Tevyn Pacey (Bass), Ryan McCreedy (Drums), Parker (Vocals), Tyson Tambellini (Rhythm Guitar), and Jordan Orr (Lead Guitar) are like woodsmen secluded from civilization with nothing but their instruments to craft doomy, yet frantic metal. They harness a variety of metal genres and bend them to their will.

Necronomicon present a new recording that feels like more of an experience than just your average collection of atmospherically charged compositions in or outside the scope of a conceptual release, and its that dark imagery surrounding H.P. Lovecraft‘s ancient ones and their influence in humanity that continues to remain center stage in the death metal community
Throughout the album the driving force behind each song for me is the vocals from the lead singer Kami Van Halst. If you are a fan of Evanescence then you will be particularly enthralled with her vocals. She really helps and pushes the tones and tempos of each song. “Denying Eyes” shows the acoustical and combination Rock side of Kami’s vocals. Without losing the energy and backing of the guitars in track Kami shifts over from the acoustics to a heavier and stronger tone alongside the electrified guitars.
