About The Album Artwork:

It is a representation of Plato’s allegory of the cave.

In the background, there is a representation of eyes symbolizing vision, while in the foreground, our protagonist is portrayed freeing herself from the cave.

About the album as a whole (LYRICALLY & MUSICALLY):

The album tells part of the story of a philosophical work that portrays religion as a psychological illness, illustrating how men become blind in the pursuit of power.

The entire musical structure creates an operatic scenario, where characters interact within a symphonic plot characterized by rapid pace and melodious themes.

Track by Track (LYRICALLY & MUSICALLY):

Desolate World, The initial idea was to create a suspenseful atmosphere with the theme of the next song, so we referenced the most famous suspense song of all time in our opinion: Main title and First Victim from Jaws.

Concerto No6. in C Minor, Cold Spring, the name references Vivaldi as it is a violin orchestral song.  The lyrics present the initial context of the story, describing a world desolate by the epidemic of an unknown disease that caused blindness.

Black Wings, A song that mixes Brazilian folk elements with a direct reference to forró (regional Brazilian musical style). It rescues the pre-epidemic period of history, presenting the protagonist: Black Wings and her life story.

Reasons to not Believe, Based on a piano piece, the song tells the story of how the protagonist managed to move forward and fight for her freedom of thought.

I fell the plague,  Along with the song “The Cure,” they are the most death/black on the album, presenting a blend of speed and melody. The lyrics introduce new characters and a crucial point in the plot.

The Priest,  As a tribute to the band Batushka, whose name means “priest,” we introduced the priest character into the plot. This incorporation was our method of blending Polish black metal elements with grindcore to evoke the atmosphere we envisioned for this story.

Endless night battle , The concept behind the lyrics was to depict an epic war, and we aimed for the music to reflect this theme. To achieve this, we combined symphonic elements with sections of intense true black metal (90’s), incorporating trumpets to announce the commencement of battle.

War Sonata, This song transports us back to the origins of symphonic black metal in the 2000s, and its lyrics evoke the tranquility of the post-war period, blending elements of blues and classical music.

Age of Death, The rawest and fastest song on the album, featuring striking elements of black metal, it presents the story of envisioning a return to the Dark Ages in today’s world.

Angels & Devils, This song serves as a reverse association to the main theme of the album, acting as a counterpoint to the introduction. Like the first two songs, it features extensive violin orchestration and concludes the story with the suggestion that everything was merely a philosophical reflection within a dream.

From the Flames of Ideas to Extreme Paradise

With the intention of challenging pre-established ideas, the band PARADISE IN FLAMES was formed in 2002 in the city of Santa Luzia, Minas Gerais, inspired by the good old Death/Black Metal forged in the fire of one of the most brutal scenes in the world. Quickly gaining prominence in the local scene, their first demo, “Empire in Ashes”, was released in 2003, followed by the EP “Devil From The Sky” in 2004. These releases opened up opportunities for the band, leading to appearances and interviews on specialized radio stations becoming a routine. The band participated in important Heavy Metal festivals like ForCaos (Fortaleza) and made a name for themselves in the Heavy Metal scene. This success propelled the release of their first album, “Homo Morbus Est” (2006), released by Democratic Records Brazil and distributed by MDR Records in Portugal in 2006.

Due to their success in the specialized media and with the audience, the band embarked on a tour in 2007, covering more than 15 Brazilian states, including sharing the stage with Krisiun. “Labirinto das Metáforas” (2013) was their subsequent release. Bringing deep philosophical reflection in their lyrics, the band was visionary in releasing the album on digital platforms at a time when little was spoken about this form of promotion. PARADISE IN FLAMES resumed their activities in 2018 and released several singles in 2019, with notable tracks like “Has Never Seen a World Without Wars”, whose music video reached 350K views on YouTube. In 2019, the band broke boundaries and performed in various Latin American countries, bringing their identity-filled sound infused with blazing notes of pure hatred.

Throughout 2019 and 2020, the band released several singles and initiated important changes, including the permanent inclusion of female vocals. PARADISE IN FLAMES released several highly successful music videos as singles, which attracted the interest of the record label Blood Blast (Nuclear Blast), culminating in the release of their third album, “Devil’s Collection” (2020), by Poison Records in Brazil and Hellven Rec in Portugal. At this point, the band experienced a meteoric rise, with appearances in heavyweight international magazines like Metal Hammer and invitations for international tours that had to be postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

“Act I” emerges as the rebirth element in the band’s career in 2021, presenting a much more mature sound that incorporates bold symphonic elements from the keyboards while maintaining the weight and extreme speed of their identity in the new lineup. They continue to confront all kinds of prejudices, precepts, and fixed ideas, now as a quintet composed of three vocalists with diverse styles that complement each other. The band releases several music videos for their new songs, with standout tracks like “Bringer of Disease”, a fierce critique of human blindness in the face of political fallacies, and “Dancer of The Mist”, which explores the sacred and profane femininity. In 2022, PARADISE IN FLAMES t00k a major step in their career by embarking on their First International Tour, covering various countries in Southern, Eastern, and Northern Europe alongside major extreme bands like I Am Morbid, Batushka, and Diabolical.

Shortly after returning to Brazil, they released the EP “Past In Files”, featuring old songs re-recorded with the new symphonic lineup, done in a fully analog format. In 2023, the band returned to European lands on a new tour with Batushka and Hate, still promoting Act I. Currently, the band is releasing new singles that will be part of their new EP, “Preludium”. They are preparing for the release of a new album “Blindness” for June 2024 and continue to work on more music videos and touring.

Pirosaint’s Drummer Ignacio Orellana Launches “Aceite Diablo” Chili Infused Oil

Aceite Diablo is the culmination of a long journey that started more than a year and a half ago for Pirosaint drummer Ignacio Orellana. Its products are a blend of devilish spices turned into a sinfully delicious oil created in Hell’s Kitchen, NY.

Ignacio Orellana comments:

“I’m located in Hell’s Kitchen, New York, where there are a large number of restaurants around with a variety of cultures. My family and I enjoy going out to eat at different restaurants and learning about new foods and flavors. After tasting many foods, we decided to create a product that would complement flavors from other cultures, while adding a little spice to it. Our product doesn’t change the original flavor of the food, but instead, adds a kick!”

Aceite Diablo only works with approved products to ensure that their customers consume only high-quality spices. All of their ingredients are FDA approved, therefore their product is safe and delicious!’

Debut Album “Fire It Up” Out Now! via Boonsdale Records

Canadian heavy rock/metal band THUNDEROR has released their new video/single “Get ‘Em Counted” starring pro wrestling champ Clash Kincade. The video is out now and can be viewed at https://youtu.be/WYe5hnY4xz0, the single will be released to digital platforms on May 3, 2024.

“This is a really fun tune about pro wrestling and stars my brother Remy aka Clash Kincade. We had a blast shooting this and I’m happy to say that the song really doesn’t sound like anything else out there that I can think of haha, I hope people enjoy it as much as we do.”
comments vocalist and drummer JJ Tartaglia.

Formed in 2020 by Skull Fist band members JJ Tartaglia and Jonny Nesta, THUNDEROR delivers hook-driven anthems to the caliber that has come to be expected by a Canadian power trio. Since 2019, drummer JJ Tartaglia has felt a calling, one which grew stronger each day. Being a member of several prominent metal bands over the last decade, the time had come to take his quest even further. He would share a vision, a feeling… a message he could deliver only with his voice.

Fueled by his passion for adventure, JJ began to work on drum arrangements and piano pieces that would become the skeletons of the THUNDEROR songs. Fall of 2021, would see the release of the 1st single “How We Roll”, immediately garnering a worldwide audience. The debut album “Fire It Up” was released in 2022 via Boonsdale Records, charting at #1 on Earshot’s National Loud Chart in Canada. The band has already toured throughout Canada, Europe, Mexico, and South America supporting major acts such as Airbourne, Enforcer, Night Demon, and more.

If you’ve ever felt a longing for escape, a thirst for adventure, wrapped in romance and danger, allow THUNDEROR to be your soundtrack!

Appreciated by fans of Judas Priest, Van Halen, and Saxon, “Fire It Up” is available via Boonsdale Records.

“The bottom line for THUNDEROR is that a listen is urgently required. Those who like the singing will have a lot of fun with the CD” – Vampster

“If you’re looking for a solid rock record that’s equal parts pop and metal, Fire It Up could be your jam. The songs are well crafted, catchy and fun road companions. Take it on your next drive or spin it at Saturday’s kegger. Thunderor takes not being serious very seriously. They recaptured the spirit of 80s rock staples like Ozzy to Journey but also managed to put their own stamp on it. Not many throwback NWOTHM acts succeed in putting this much character in their sound.” – Angry Metal Guy

“The moment I first heard “How We Roll,” I knew I was in trouble…and instantly hooked. Other numbers like “All or Nothing,” “On the Run,” “We Can Make It,” and the epic title track, infuse multiple sub-genres like thrash, power, and synth metal, and are the type of adventurous anthems that make life still feel like it’s worth living even on its darkest of days.” – Rewind It Magazine

NEWS RELEASE

Montreal, QC – April 26, 2024

Rockshots Records – Out Now! STORMBORN’s Powerfully Epic Album “Zenith”

Hailing from Kent, UK, the melodic heavy metal powerhouse of Stormborn draws inspiration from metal titans like Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, and Dio, but still blazes a unique trail of their own in heavy metal, crafting a sound that fuses classic elements with bold, modern innovation. Stormborn isn’t just walking in the footsteps of giants; they’re crafting a new path in heavy metal, dominated by great riffs, a strong melodic backbone, and powerful vocals that you can’t help but sing along to.

Their new album “Zenith” showcases an evolution in their songwriting and style, while still retaining that fast, riffy, melodic essence of classic Stormborn. the full-length strikes a balance between growth and familiarity, and they’re optimistic that both their loyal fans and new listeners will find something to appreciate and enjoy.

“While we appreciate heavy and technical elements in music. The album itself was really honed and manicured to be listened to back to back, and intended for the listener to settle down with a pair of good headphones or speakers and get lost in that experience. There’s a lot of intricacy in the composition and mixing that is really only there to emphasize that experience.” adds the band.

“Zenith” is due out on April 26th, 2024 on Rockshots Records and is available for pre-order at the following links:

“The next band on were Stormborn, a slightly heavier band than the previous and just as powerful. They very much interacted with the crowd, earning a lot of shouts of encouragement. Their vocalist’s range was undeniably impressive and the rest of the band sure as hell kept up with him with his fast pace and ability to start with low vocals and jumping right up into a high note within seconds.” – Moshville – Gig Review: Bloodstock M2tM Kent Finals (18th June, 2022)

“STORMBORN were inspired but with the vibe turned up to an emphatic 12. You could not help but notice the vocalist, his body expanded to fill up the stage, “I am here” it exclaimed” – Reflection of Darkness

EPK – Voraath – Vol 1: The Hymn of the Hunters (Exitus Stratagem Records)

Publicist – Jon Asher – jon[@]ashermediarelations[.]com

“We think this album will be something unique, a whirlwind of emotions and an auditory odyssey. We capsulated real events in our lives and laced them through our complex musical universe.  We want the fans to feel the music, ride along with us on this musical journey through our dystopian planet. This album will be an investment of thought and emotion. We want to immerse the listener in another world.  It’s heavy yet sad, brutal yet immersive, so we hope to take everyone on a journey. That journey is scored with metal! – Voraath

For fans of  Fleshgod apocalypse, Cattle Decapitation, Dimmu Borgir, Acid Bath, Septic Flesh, Gojira

“Celebrating Sci-Fi Dystopia, and a Debut Album, with Voraath… We’ve made mention of Carolina’s cinematic sci-fi proggy death metal aliens Voraath in this space before… Well, they’re back with yet another Shudder/SyFy worthy, seemingly budget-busting work of dystopian video art. “The Leviathan’s Keep”” – Decibel Magazine

“Voraath‘s aim is to do more than record and release music. The music is part of a universe they’re creating, drawing upon elements of horror and science-fantasy, which includes significant visual as well as audio portrayals, including the band’s own presentation of themselves on stage — each member appears as a character in the lore of the music” – No Clean Singing

“After a foreboding beginning, both visually and musically, the video (Judas, Blood and Vultures) erupts in extravagant scenes of vicious armed combat involving hideous alien protagonists, and other scenes of chilling mystery and horror as the conflict moves into shadowy realms. The music is itself violent, horrifying, and mysterious, a genre-bending extravagance that’s full of startling surprises. At the heights of its intensity the drums fire at superhuman speeds, the riffing roils in madness and maniacally darts and jackhammers, and the vocals rabidly snarl and barbarically scream. The music also channels the alien malignancy at work in the tale, as dire orchestration soars and sweeps, both eerie and stricken in its moods, before the musical fight to the death resumes, accented by a wailing guitar solo. And further, the mysteries unfold through ringing and swirling keys and craggy bass tones, gradually swelling in intensity toward another guitar solo, a captivating one which underscores a building feeling of grief in the music. At the end, another surprise awaits, a gentle but mesmerizing acoustic guitar harmony that seems wistful, but maybe also hopeful. All in all, it’s a hell of a narrative spectacle, musically as well as visually.” – No Clean Singing

“The fact that the troupe is already so mature and professional on their debut, but also so passionate about it, may be due to the fact, that all musicians were previously employed in other projects. But it wasn’t until VORAATH that they obviously found the repository of their creativity and, completely surprisingly, created a small milestone with “Volume 1: Hymny Of The Hunters!” 9/10″ – PowerMetal.de

“Voraath’s “Vol 1: The Hymn of the Hunters” isn’t just an album; it’s a meticulously crafted portal into a nightmarish realm where each track unfolds a new chapter of struggle and revelation. With their blend of brutal aggression and melodic nuance, Voraath sets a new standard in storytelling, promising listeners an immersive experience that transcends genres and challenges the boundaries of a musical literary experience. Embrace the darkness and join the hunt—Voraath awaits, ready to lead you through their extreme metal multiverse with unparalleled intensity and imagination.” – Metal Lair

“Voraath‘s Vol 1: The Hymn of the Hunters is a meticulously crafted journey through a rich, dystopian world. The band’s ability to blend metal with intricate storytelling sets them apart, creating an immersive experience that is both brutal and thought-provoking. Voraath has set a high bar with their debut, promising even greater adventures in the metal multiverse they are meticulously crafting.” – Amplify The Noise

“ this first Voraath album sends us into a cosmic epic” – Eklektik Rock

“The Barrens offers a blend of crushing riffs and distinctive soundscapes, delivering a unique cinematic soundtrack.” – Metal Insider

Track By Track:

1. Into Perdition

The old roads of the Appalachian, barren and soulless lay ahead.  Each step reminding us of our failures and a foreshadowing of the unfavorable journey that lies ahead.  This song captures the native folk tones on the Appalachian mountains, reworked to resemble the feeling of being lost and broken.

2. The Road to Samm Hill

We have received coordinates to the location of the relay, an alien mechanism that can bend space-time. Employed by EOS Corp, our mission is to retrieve the relay at all cost. As we approach the area of operation, we are confronted by a creature frail and decaying stumbling along the old road.  As it approaches us it reaches out its hand, revealing a sort of otherworldly controller. The creature shortly after petrifies and dies. Resuming our journey we come across a barren village, with dead bodies scattered.  Further investigating we discover that Ostromek Corp had been conducting experiments on what seems to be an otherworldly entity.  The scientist and security officers of Ostromek had seemingly lost control of the creature which had led to the massacre of the local village.  This song outlines our battle with the otherworldly entity as well as discovering a traitor in our own ranks.

3. Waypoint Orion

The mission to Samm Hill was a failure.  We resumed our pursuit of the relay (The Nexus key) deep into the Appalachian forest where we would discover a mound of bodies, the corpses of the lost villagers.  Creatures from beyond our dimension stood guard and at the apex of the mound was a vile creature with authority over the lesser sentinels.  The relay had been activated and was shimmering red particles when we noticed the screams of a little girl laying at the base of the corpses. To recover the little girl we would have to eliminate the corpse guardian.  After killing a few of the creatures the relay began to resonate louder and louder.  As we shot the third creature the very land around us changed.  The sky became red and the landscape was foreign.  We shot the fourth creature and reality itself transformed around us.  With each kill the relay activated, altering the world around us.  As we eliminated the final guardian and rescued the little girl, we found ourselves trapped in a different dimension.

4. The Terminus Rift

Stuck in an alternate dimension, a dark world of obsidian spires and tattered geometric architectures, we had to find a way to return home.  We are confronted by otherworldly zealots. Our primary mission is to survive while we try to figure out how to operate the relay. While making our way through the chasms of this dark stone city, we awoke a nefarious entity, a vicious titan whom the zealots praised as a god. While attempting to repair the relay, the hunters must survive the onslaught on the titan and its servants.

5. Dreadborn

This song is a flashback to how Marrow came to join the hunters. During a mission to retrieve a key component for the relay, a mechanism called the Navigators Key, the hunters had to infiltrate a military compound controlled by Ostromek Corp.  The hunters would arrive to a facility of dead soldiers and a rogue seer with telepathic abilities on a murder spree. While on a mission of vengeance, Marrow (seer) targeted the hunters not knowing that they were not affiliated with Ostromek Corp.  After a vicious battle, the hunters were able to subdue the seer, recruiting her into their ranks and acquiring the Navigators Key.
6. The Barrens

This was our first song as a band, a song that encapsulated the brutal and melancholic nature of post traumatic stress (ptsd).  The video is a series of flashbacks for the point of view of two of the hunters.  One is experiencing loss and betrayal; meanwhile being pursued by a savage otherworldly entity (which shows the layers of coping with one tragedy while fighting to simply exist). The other is the feeling of hopelessness that turns to hate and that hate consumes those around her.  The music itself carries out like a metal movie soundtrack, with aggressive peaks and demented valleys, all culminating into the grand apex of the final segway, an epiphany of taking back control (live to fight another day).  We hope this brings awareness to the struggles and trauma we all are dealing with, awareness for those coping with PTSD.

7. Judas Blood and Vultures

Mission: 3116 The Red Village incident: The Valewalkers are contacted by an old friend, Tobias to investigate a series of strange disappearances in a neighboring village. It is believed that a vile creature from beyond the Nexus Rift, known by the locals as Lumia is responsible for the missing villagers, among them, Tobias’ new bride and infant child. As the hunters and their forlorn guide begin their pursuit of the creature and its cultist minions, they soon discover that not all is as it seems in the ruins of the red village.

8. The Leviathans Keep

This song is actually a prequel to our main story line. In our musical lore, we are mercenaries who take odd jobs in a dystopian society for resources for our village. We took a contract to escort a EOS Corporation scientist to a classified location in the mountains to recover data on a deceased entity.  Our mission is to activate the IC-B18 energy barrier that isolates the area of operation and protect the scientist at all cost.  Due to an intense GRS (Gamma Ray Storm), the relay drone used to communicate and initiate the barrier was destroyed which prompted an emergency evacuation, unfortunately the extraction point is occupied by savage mutant cannibals.  The song follows our failed mission as we fight to survive the treacheries of the mountain.  The end of the song has a unique twist. As our curiosity gets the better of us and we discover what EOS corp was researching; the corpse of a cosmic entity that will change our lives forever. The music is the culmination of primitive brutal rhythmic patterns and the epic soundscapes of survival.  We are excited to share what we feel is something very unique in the metal and music community.

9. Dirge Colony

We have been given our final orders, to hunt down and eliminate the vile entity own as UA -33, the ender. While en route, the hunters came across the scattered remains of their friends from a neighboring colony.  They dismally traversed the ravaged village.  The hunter known as Ward, came across an old house with sounds of men celebrating.  Ward began quietly investigating the dilapidated house, coming across a battered and wounded young woman.  Bloodied, she fearfully signaled Ward to keep quiet.  Realizing that she was a captive of soldiers, celebrating the pillaging of the colony, Ward along with the other hunters would murder the heartless mercenaries and mourn the loss of the young woman.  This song was actually a dream that we wove into the music, a song about mourning loss and coping with nefarious circumstances.

10. The God-killer Saga

This song is the apex of our journey, from locating and retrieving the nexus key (relay) and the Navigators key, to grand standoffs with interdimensional entities, their mission would lead them to the very source of the apocalypse, to the entity UA-33 or the “ender.” deep in a gorge in the Appalachian mountains, the hunters approach a rift in the stone, a divot between dimensions.  After defeating the creatures guarding the rift, the hunters would finally confront the seemingly iniquitous god; but nothing is what it seems and a secret with unfathomable repercussions will be revealed. Here is where the hunter’s journey ends and the sentinels of Voraath begins.

11. Sirenhead

Though most of the concept of our debut album follows a group of  “survivors” who are tasked with hunting down an inter-dimensional deity who has ravaged the earth, for this song (Siren Head) we wanted to do something “less” otherworldly and a bit more of a horror. Our children love watching scary stories about this creature called “Siren Head.” Come to find out that so many kids his age are infatuated by the monster, so we wanted to write our interpretation of Siren Head based on the artist Trevor Henderson. This also allowed for us some family metal/horror time!”

12. Pyrrhic

After learning the truth of our journey,  we must cope with the traumas and loss of our endeavors.  This song is very bleak, capturing the sound of emptiness.  Feeling as if there is no hope, no end, and the endless pain of enduring existence.

Fun Facts – Story Angles

1 -The lore of the music is inspired by 80’s sci-fi movies, game lore, and folk tales of the Appalachian mountains.  We draw inspiration from our personal interests and hobbies here in the mountains which include hunting, martial arts, and tactical training, and our mountain adventures roaming the land.

2 – Our outfits are handcrafted by the wife of our guitarist (Frank Kohl).  The armor and cuirass that our vocalist wears was hand crafted by leather crafter/armorer Joshua Niemeyer who is the owner of the crafting company “The Grim Ringer.” Our masks are altered mesh masks crafted by Tylor Kohl and Joshua Ward.

3 – Our drummer Joshua Ward also does drum tech work, working for renowned drummers such as George Kollias and Pete Sandoval.

4- Our Singer Chelsea Marrow is a professional voice actress for the Monster Factory.  She was part of the Doom Eternal heavy metal choir.

5-  Guitar player Tylor Kohl genuinely gets excited about gas station hotdogs, which is nasty.

Voraath is a Sci-fi horror-inspired extreme metal band featuring members from Xael, Visitant, Rapheumets Well, Implosive Disgorgence, and Sweet Blood. Crafting their own musical, the music serves to take you on an auditory odyssey.

An otherworldly and experimental metal act based out of the Carolinas, Voraath unifies epic soundscapes with bone-crushing brutal riffs. In September 2021, Voraath began as an experimental project with Joshua Nassaru Ward (Xael, Rapheumets Well), Tylor Kohl, Paul McBride, and Daniel Presnell.  In April of 2023, Chelsea Marrow joined the team as the lead vocalist. The word Voraath itself refers to an act of vengeance as well as the deity of wrath.

Montreal, QC – April 26, 2024

APE VERMIN Release Intergalactic Sludge Single “Awakened” Off Upcoming Album “Andromedas Colossus” and Tour Dates

Ape Vermin, the formidable 3-piece act hailing from the depths of Valdese, North Carolina, USA, is gearing up to conquer the cosmos with their latest sci-fi-infused album “Andromedas Colossus” on May 17, 2024, with a US tour to follow the release. Your journey into otherworldly realms begins with their new single “Awakened”, which guitarist/vocalist Brett Lee comments on:

“My personal favorite. We’re back, and we’re making up for lost time. Hell has come back to life. The Colossus is awake, prepare for your imminent obliteration. “Ten thousand years, through portals of time. Awaken this hell, Your world will be mine. Destroyed to extinction by hellish invention, made up for lost time, Hell has come back to life.”

In “Awakened”, sludge metal meets thrash in fine form. Double bass so crushing it could cause another world war. Guitar leads reminiscent of Dimebag Darrell and Kerry King in their prime and enough low-end to destroy planets.

Since its inception in 2017, Ape Vermin has pledged to push the limits of its craft, blending colossal riffs with amplifier worship and masterful percussion. “Andromedas Colossus”, promises to be a tour de force, featuring ten tracks of unique and exciting metal. Building upon the foundation laid by their acclaimed releases – the 2021 “Arctic Noise” EP and the 2018 “Sonic Monolith” LP; “Andromedas Colossus” sees Ape Vermin usher in a new chapter of their intergalactic saga; it is recommended for fans of High on Fire, Crowbar, and Mastodon.

EPK – Ape Vermin – Andromedas Colossus (2024)

Publicist – Jon Asher – jon[@]ashermediarelations[.]com

“I personally think that this record is going to be well received by most of the “Metal” Community. We are a Sludge metal band pushing the boundaries with progressive and thrash metal as well. We’re looking forward to taking them on an epic sonic journey.” – Brett Lee – Ape Vermin

For Fans of High on Fire, Crowbar, Mastodon, Yob, and Conan

“Ape Vermin’s Andromedas Colossus is doom to the core. Though a lot for one sitting, it’ll sustain your attention during a long walk or drive. Fans of the genre will find much to relish, be it individual tracks or the whole, and it’s certainly one of the standout albums of the year so far.” – Doomed And Stoned

“Lovers of slow, massive riffs, rejoice! Ape Vermin is here for your daily dose of gnarly Sludge and Doom Metal music!” – Ghost Cult Magazine

“Ape Vermin have delivered a bone-crunching album that pulls no punches with it’s fearless attitude and exploration into SONIC and PSYCHEDELIC manipulation of the highest order.” – Outlaws of The Sun

“if you’re looking to be transported to another crushingly heavy musical universe, Ape Vermin are worth a listen.” – Rough Edge

“These axe-generated discharges alone were the stuff of Tony Iommi’s nightmares, but then the bass-made ferociously fuzz-rich, rhythmic rumbles and intensely explosive drumming sealed the deal. All combined and then topped off with Lee’s caveman-like gutturalized grunting vocals, it was a recipe that could’ve resulted in APE VERMIN being culpable for assault & battery charges.”  – Riff Relevant

============================================

About The Album Artwork:

It’s sci-fi, epic, and BRUTAL.

About the album as a whole (LYRICALLY & MUSICALLY):

This album is extremely dynamic, melodic, Visceral, brutal and the lyrics are extremely dark.

Track by track (LYRICALLY & MUSICALLY):

We open the record with 1.“Obliteration Imminent”, It definitely sets the bar for how heavy and dark this record is. “Your Obliteration is Imminent”.

Next up is 2. “Colony”, With an atmospheric and tribal acoustic intro. Then to crushing metal with machine gun-like double bass. “We’re all one now, to destroy all”.

3. “Solaruss” smacks you like an asteroid you knew nothing about, it’s extremely dark and prophetic. “Time to break the blackened curse, Twisted visions of hell, Solaruss on the front line, On and on we kill”. It speaks for itself.

4. “Pulse Driver” is a dark hypnotic Instrumental track with tribal undertones. I wouldn’t call it a filler but it definitely serves as an evil buffer for whats still on the Horizon.

5. “Mining the Colossus” This one serves as a double meaning, one is something I want the listener to depict. The other is how humanity is absolutely destroying our sacred mother. It’s true, We have been mining this colossus for far too long.
“Vermin, We’re all vermin. Destroying is all we know. Mining the colossus, we’ve been mining for far too long”.

6. “Signal Transmissions” is exactly what it sounds like, an astral tether to the sonic mothership.
7. “Motherlode” It’s not an anomaly. Its exactly where and and what it needs to be. We’ve hit the motherlode.

8. “Awakened” My personal favorite. We’re back, and we’re making up for lost time. Hell has come back to life. Sludge metal meets Thrash in fine form. Double bass so crushing it could cause another world war. Guitar leads reminicent of Dimebag Darrell and Kerry King in their prime and enough low-end to destroy planets. The Colossus is awake, prepare for your imminent obliteration. “Ten thousand years, through portals of time. Awaken this hell, Your world will be mine. Destroyed to extinction by hellish invention, made up for lost time, Hell has come back to life”.

9. “Unearthing the Artifact” Hailing the black mass, the blackest mass of all. The one inside of you. Very dark, we all are deep down. Have you unearthed it? “Discover the origins of the blackened stone, Conjuring the evil from within, Defining the marker of this realm, unearthing the artifact from within”

10. “Return to Andromeda” is it time? “Forged by the fires of life and death on this wicked night. Becoming the echoes of war, return to life”. An epic conclusion to an epic record.
