0 Bravewords – Chariots of The Gods – Ages Unsung
Ottawa-based Chariots Of The Gods inject the best parts of metalcore, thrash and melodeath into its second full-length release, Ages Unsung. The band’s extreme delivery, harsh-barked vocals and precise instrumentation carry hints of bands such as In Flames, Soilwork, Shadows Fall and Hatebreed, yet delivered in a modern, up to date sound.

About BML:
Black Mourning Light Metal Festival is the black metal and doom festival founded by Dustin Ekman of Crown of Viserys. Created to fill a void in Edmonton’s black and doom scene.
After a successful debut during Halloween 2015, Black Mourning Light Festival returns for a 2016 edition set from October 21st-23rd. The onslaught will be held at the Rendezvous Pub with a lineup of bands from across Western Canada all in the vein of black and doom metal along with select death styles. Last year’s line up included 11 bands from three provinces such as headliner Idolatry (Edmonton), Altars of Grief (Regina), Noire (Winnipeg), Ossific (Winnipeg), Vile Insignia (Calgary) and more.
Those that attended the 2015 inaugural ritual will not be disappointed by 2016, as they can expect a different while similar experience to that event. Due to the proximity of Samhain, costume prizes will still be awarded to those who wish to dress up early and celebrate the season.

Calgary, AB’s RED CAIN have teamed up with PureGrainAudio for the premiere of their new lyric video for their first single ‘Hiraeth’ off their upcoming self-titled debut EP set for release on November 25th. The track was written as an anthem to glorious ages past, driven by the band’s Eastern European roots. Enveloped in Slavic mythology and imagery, the track takes the listener into an era where mysticism and sorcery coexisted with sharp steel, pagan hymns, and a still-present yearning for the restless wild. It is a gallop through hidden memories in their blood, and a call to arms from a long-forgotten heritage of renown.
To watch and listen to ‘Hiraeth’, please visit the following link: http://puregrainaudio.com/videos/red-cain-debut-lyric-video-for-new-song-hiraeth-exclusive-premiere
To purchase the track, please visit: https://redcain.bandcamp.com/releases
RED CAIN, a powerful, modern melodic metal project with European roots is back on the scene after a two year hiatus and line up change that features orchestration guru William Lancaster along with the talented multi-instrumentalist Rogan McAndrews to join founding band members Evgeniy Zayarny, Nikita Ryzhenkov plus Samuel Royce. RED CAIN is a storytelling vehicle of Faustian sagas and twisted orchestral landscapes – complete with articulate songwriting, heavy, groove-filled instrumentals plus evocative, rich vocals, all creating a memorable and dramatic musical experience.
