Our “Default” artwork represents someone who lives like a machine: everything is predetermined, there are no surprises because there’s no room for them, and very little flexibility. We like to work with different artists for our artworks; it’s always a pleasant surprise, and you make new connections that way too.
About the Single (LYRICALLY & MUSICALLY):
Default is about living a mundane life, not being able to break out of the endless groundhog day. We are always running somewhere, and we forget that life is actually happening today, not when we’re done with our countless tasks. It’s important to take a break and look at yourself sometimes.

Godfall is a Calgary‑born five‑piece forged from the desire to create music that hits hard, feels honest, and speaks directly to the human experience. Founded in 2023, the project began as guitarist Omer Khan’s vision but quickly evolved into a diverse collective of musicians, each bringing their own background, culture, and creative instincts. With every member coming from a different country and speaking a different first language, Godfall’s sound is shaped by contrast, collaboration, and the belief that the best ideas come from serving the song rather than fitting a genre.
From the earliest demo of the single Parasite (2024) to the band’s most recent releases, Godfall has embraced a style that is melodic, aggressive, catchy, emotional, and gritty. Their music explores resistance, personal conflict, toxic relationships, burnout, and the universal struggle to rise above the weight of everyday life. Whether the spark begins with a single riff, a word meant to anchor a chorus, or a shared emotional theme, the band builds each track together, cutting, refining, and reshaping until the song speaks with clarity and purpose.
Godfall’s evolution is constant. They lean into their strengths, shift through phases of anger, melancholy, and soaring melody, and refuse to be boxed in. Their discography of singles Parasite (2024), Ishkode (2024), Make Me Sick (2026), and Default (2026), plus their 2025 debut EP Parade of Rot, captures that growth, culminating in the thematic depth of Default, a reflection on living life on autopilot and the need to break free from the endless grind.
