Thundering out of the thrash gates comes Arizona’s Never Reborn, a hard-hitting three-piece that released their second album “Ashes of Our Past” back in March to great reception. Fueled by that momentum, they have a new lyric video out now for the track “Existence Denied”. The song is about alien abduction, someone who is looking for signs of alien existence, not knowing that he has been abducted his entire life.

Guitarist/vocalist Steve White explains more:

“The aliens are doing tests on this person to try and figure out why we exist as humans. As the lyrics go…

Awaken in the night, surrounded by light,
Movement denied, horror I cannot disguise
On a cold bed I lie
Horrified, yet cannot cry
And those black eyes, so cold inside
Drill comes to life, inside they spy
Under the knife, once more am I”

Watch and listen to “Existence Denied” – https://youtu.be/SNs2IEHwCU4

Combining elements of thrash, with touches of black and classic heavy metal, this trio has a deadly and unmistakable sound all their own. Independently released, “Ashes of Our Past” is a big step forward for the band. The maturity in their songwriting is evident, from the opening clean guitar passage of “Storms End” to the closing thrash attack of “Requiem (World of Hurt)”.

According to the band, “Ashes of Our Past” is like a collection of short stories and they don’t feel like they need to stick to any rules. The music on the album is a sonic journey, each song was carefully placed in a specific order on the album to give it an even flow. They spent a lot of time arranging the order of the album tracks and suggested that it be listened to in order. Suitable for any thrash maniacs, it is especially recommended for fans of Kreator, Carcass, and Death.

“Ashes of Our Past” was released on March 18, 2023, and is available on https://neverreborn.bandcamp.com and Spotify.

“There is no other way to really describe ‘Ashes of Our Past’ other than excellent. It is an absolutely fantastic album and any fan of 80’s style black/thrash/death should get on this because it really is one of the best underground albums of 2023.” Adam McCann / Metal Digest

NEWS RELEASE

Montreal, QC – November 18, 2023

The Power Behind DISSONA’s Blade Runner Themed “Renaissance” Is Evident In Drum Playthrough Video

New EP “Dreadfully Distinct” Out Now!

Dissona is a progressive metal band hailing from Chicago, USA, known for its adventurous, demanding, intense, mystical, and emotionally rich music. Their previous releases include “Paleopneumatic” in 2016 and a self-titled album in 2012. Their third release, an EP entitled “Dreadfully Distinct” was just released earlier this month and takes listeners into the gritty world of Blade Runner over three intense and varied tracks. The second cut “Renaissance” is getting a deeper look now with a drum playthrough video. The band comments on the theme:

“’Renaissance’ features the distinctive vocals of David Dubenic, who poignantly raises the intriguing question that lingers throughout the Blade Runner narrative: “Is Deckard human or replicant?” The track captures the urgency of his heated escape from LA with Rachael as it builds, with Deckard’s inner turmoil reflected in his repeated pleas to his own psyche. The song delves into Deckard’s dreams, fears, and ultimately, his confrontation with his own reality.”

The song opens with a hazy, atmospheric intro that evokes a sense of impending uncertainty. As the track unfolds, listeners are immersed in an exotic instrumental section, laden with tension-inducing tones and intricate time signatures mirroring the complexities of Deckard’s journey.

Throughout “Renaissance”, Dissona skillfully weaves a narrative that mirrors Deckard’s emotional and existential struggles, all set against the backdrop of their signature progressive metal sound. The song’s powerful instrumentation and evocative lyrics make it a standout addition to the EP which is recommended for fans of Between the Buried and Me, Cynic and Opeth.

Watch their masterful drummer, Drew Goddard, perform his parts for the song “Renaissance” at https://youtu.be/tCUtyOvvsrY

“Drawing inspiration from the Bladerunner movie series, specifically Agent K from Blade Runner 2049, “Skinjob” has an icy exterior musically, but definitely has the DNA of great mid-west electronica and industrial music inside of its veins. Their entire upcoming new EP Dreadfully Distinct, drops November 10th and follows this story.” – Ghost Cult Mag

“What I love about this band’s sound is the way in which the rolling riffs are mixed with some highly technical playing, but without becoming complex for the sake of complexity alone. David Dubenic has a very dramatic way of singing, utilising different ‘voices’. That usually puts me off, and can sound rather fake and overtly theatrical. But David has the ability to deliver it very convincingly.” – DPRP.net

“This EP delves into the Blade Runner universe, with each track dedicated to a character from the iconic film. The first single, “The Prodigal Son,” explores the backstory of Roy Batty, one of the original film’s central characters. While their third full-length album is also on the horizon, listeners can get an early fix with their upcoming cinematically crafted progressive EP.” – Metal Insider

“Since I wasn’t yet familiar with DISSONA, this EP was a pleasant surprise for me, offering a consistent concept, wonderfully diverse compositions and great performances from all band members. I’m digging their kind of musical story-telling, where everything seems to be in the right place, perfectly supported by the well-balanced, yet full-sounding production. With the earlier mentioned already recorded album on the horizon, it feels like a good time to dive into their backcatalogue before the new opus will be released, which is highly anticipated now!” – Mostly-Metal

“Ethnic instruments bring “Renaissance” to life, a track that finds the band take on the character of Rick Deckard as he and Rachel escape from LA. Another powerhouse performance driven home by Drew Goddard behind the kit, it strikes a wonderful balance between the embellishments of synths and orchestration. Dubenic offers up a couple of unclean vocal moments which add contrast while the thought and vision that has gone into creating something this epic is abundantly clear. There is even a moment for 90’s breakbeats in the final moments. 8/10” – Metal Noise

“The more times you listen to this EP, the more you pick up. It’s quite a fascinating release. Fans of the Blade Runner universe will get a lot more out of it than non-fans, but everyone can enjoy the imaginative prog noise Dissona create regardless. 9/10” – Games, Brrraaains & A Head-Banging Life

““Skinjob” is the shining star on the Dreadfully Distinct – walking a line between metal and brooding goth à la Depeche Mode. As David Dubenic (vocals), Matt Motto (guitars), Craig Hamburger (bass), and Drew Goddard (drums) create collaboratively, aligning to the overarching themes and narrative, their unity allows for both an aural and visual experience. Dreadfully Distinct is not dreadful but it is distinct, creative, and brilliant in its creation.” – Amplify The Noise

EPK – Yesterday’s Hero – Ways To Hate (2023)

Publicist – Jon Asher – jon[@]ashermediarelations[.]com

“Ohio Metal act Yesterday’s Hero has dropped a new music video for their song “What I Needed,” from their 2023 album Ways To Hate. The clip highlights overcoming adversity we can all relate to, and the track is a banger! Catchy enough to glue into your ears, and heavy enough for the moshers.” – Ghost Cult Magazine

“This is a great album…. they all sound awesome, being the perfect blend of the early 2000s alt-metal sound and a more modern take, almost bordering on Phil Campbell at times. And, as similar as it all was, I would happily take a lot more of it. Seven tracks just wasn’t enough for me! It sounds great and I think these guys are going to be a big deal soon, if this album is anything to go off!” – Overtone Magazine

““Killing Me.” The song is a straightforward alt-metal rager for fans of the late-90s/early-2000s nu-metal scene.” – New Noise Magzine

“If you’re a real mensch, then you know when it’s your time to bounce, like the boys in Yesterday’s Hero. The hard rockers are happy to unveil their new music video for “Bounce,” off of their new record, Ways To Hate. The seven-track effort was self-released late last month and checks all the boxes of a no-nonsense, riff-rocking good time. There probably isn’t anywhere more rock n’ roll to record a music video than a car shop, which the band selected as the location of this badass new video clip. The primary riff featured in “Bounce” is one of the first the Ohio quartet conceived for this new record. In a sense, the riff dictated the subject matter of the song, with the band feeling that it really “bounced.” Feeding off of this energy, the song came about rather naturally and cohesively.” – V13

“”When it comes to big riffs, ‘Bounce’ by Yesterday’s Hero doesn’t sell the listener short. Its main thrust sounds like a stoner rock band channelling an old Fugazi tune; the muted riff on the verse adds a sharp edge beneath a great vocal, and exploding into a huge chorus, the band are able to convey a timeless post-grunge sound that sounds massive beneath an enthusiastic hook. If that wasn’t enough, a slow heavy breakdown drawing from a blend of groove metal and hardcore influences increases the tension at the track’s end, ensuring these four minutes leave most rock fans more than satisfied.” – Real Gone Rocks

“Here’s a highly interesting US band if you’re into the crossroads between melodic metal and melodic hard rock. Yesterday’s Hero are from Ohio and this is an EP of seven songs, released back in late 2023… They’re driven by a nice and rough guitar sound that goes well with the tight drumming and the pounding bass. According to the guys their sound ”falls between nu metal and modern radio rock”. And yeah, that pretty well sums it up… Where many bands in this genre go for rougher vocals (i.e. almost growl) this band is humble enough to offer quite good normal singing by Neller. Check this up, many of you hard rock and metal fans will like it.” – Meloid.net

Rising out of the bogs of the Black Swamp in the heart of corn country, Yesterday’s Hero brings a hard‑hitting blend of Hard Rock and Alt‑Metal straight from Northwest Ohio. Fueled by backroad burnouts and small‑town mischief, they channel high‑energy grooves and unforgettable melodies that practically demand you hit repeat. Known for being a “good time” band, they tear up the stage with more fun than they probably should, never pretending to be choirboys and never holding back their signature sound.

Their debut full‑length album, Ways To Hate (released Nov 2023), captures that raw spirit with an intentional analog-recording approach, crafted as a true front‑to‑back album experience rather than a collection of singles. Each track flows into the next, carrying listeners through the emotional fallout of a battered heart at the end of a turbulent relationship. With a sound built for adrenaline, catharsis, and a packed mosh pit, Yesterday’s Hero hits the sweet spot for fans of Chevelle, Rise Against, Killswitch Engage, Godsmack, and Seether.

To celebrate the release of their debut full-length “Touch The Sky” on Rockshots Records, the Italian progressive quartet RAISED BY HAZE is sharing the third single “Burn It Up”.

“From the first chords, ‘Burn It Up’ aims to break the mold and inspire listeners to cast off the chains that tether us to our fears and limitations. “‘Burn It Up’ started with a simple arpeggio that evolved into the powerful riff driving the entire song. The first chorus is intentionally obsessive in rhythm, mirroring the feeling of being stuck, while the second chorus introduces a fresh rhythmic perspective, symbolizing the breaking of chains. This song was also our first-ever recording, this track began the initiation of a collaboration that has grown into something truly special. The day Valentina and I first spoke, she sent me the near-final vocal part, marking the promising beginning of our journey together.” explains guitarist Gabriele Robotti.

The track features captivating keyboard work by Giancarlo Sansone, adding depth and texture to the overall sonic experience.

Founded by the visionary guitarist Gabriele Robotti and featuring the soulful vocals of Valentina Tesio, RAISED BY HAZE’s first full-length “Touch The Sky” promises to be a musical journey like no other, embodying the essence of the band.

Gabriele Robotti, the creative force behind Raised By Haze, shares his vision, stating:

“Raised By Haze is a musical voyage that knows no bounds. ‘Touch The Sky’ is an exploration of emotions and musical styles, and we invite you to join us on this exhilarating journey.”

Valentina Tesio, the band’s soulful vocalist, adds:

“I’m honored to be part of this project that pushes the boundaries of music. Gabriele’s vision and our collective passion result in something truly exceptional.”

“Touch The Sky” offers a mesmerizing blend of soul music, heavy metal, R&B, and progressive rock, promising to captivate listeners with its genre-defying sound. The album was conceived as a reflection of all of Robotti’s musical influences, aiming to weave a common thread through the diverse musical worlds that have inspired him.

“The foundational matrix for this album is arguably progressive rock and metal, with Dream Theater being the band that ignited my passion for playing the guitar during my childhood. However, the primary objective I set for myself with this album was to amalgamate all my influences, spanning from bands like Pink Floyd and Linkin Park to Pantera and Alter Bridge, and from classic 70s rock to modern progressive metal (including Opeth, Periphery, and Between The Buried And Me). Along the way, I ventured into various other musical territories.” adds Robotti.

While “Touch The Sky” is not a concept album, the lyrics, mostly penned by Valentina, draw heavily from personal experiences and the band’s unique perspectives on life and various situations. It can be said that the music serves as an artistic representation of their outlook on life, while the lyrics mirror Valentina’s experiences. The songs you hear are the culmination of this creative journey.

“Touch The Sky” is now available as of November 17, 2023, from Rockshots Records.

0 Out Now! Cabrakaän Presents Mexican Folklore With Modern Melodic Metal On New Album “Aztlán”

NEWS RELEASE

Montreal, QC – November 17, 2023

Out Now! Cabrakaän Presents Mexican Folklore With Modern Melodic Metal On New Album “Aztlán”

Photo Credit – Angela Ambrose – Lunar Ring Sound & Graphics Inc.

Cabrkaaän was formed in 2011 by drummer Marko Cipäktli and vocalist Pat Cuikani who are both from Toluca, Mexico, and are currently based in Canada. They work with indigenous Mexican artists to incorporate authentic pre-Hispanic instruments like ocarinas, flutes, percussion instruments, and more in their dramatic, melodic music. Their latest work is “Aztlán”, a thematic album, with 12 tracks that each represent a different facet of their cultural story. The theme is centered on the Spanish conquest – colonization and the defeat of Mexico’s Aztec empire, Tenochtitlán. The band shares their excitement for the release:

“We hope that you’re as excited as we are for Aztlán! This album is incredibly close to our hearts, and we hope that you can hear it. It’s a part of us. It represents our perseverance to continue onward with our music despite countless challenges and setbacks. It gave us the opportunity to create something important and beautiful and to share a piece of our culture with the world. We hope you find something in our music that resonates with you. Our hearts and souls are intertwined with Aztlán. We can’t wait for you to hear what we’ve created.”

On this album, you’ll find that Cabrkaaän’s new sound is an evolved, matured version of their familiar style: Folkloric elements, enchanting orchestral arrangements, operatic vocals, and heavy sounds. For “Aztlán”, Cipäktli developed orchestral elements and arrangements with the audience in mind. He says that he wants the audience to feel the message through the music, and that orchestration always adds a different atmosphere and a layer of emotion for the listener to feel and gain something valuable from.

As a whole, “Aztlán” tells different stories from Mexican history, as you will see in the lyrics and track listing. They especially focused on percussion as it is one of civilization’s first musical instruments. The album is recommended for fans of Maria Grever, Linda Ronstadt, and Megadeth.

“Aztlán” is now available as of November 17, 2023, at Cabrakaan.bandcamp.com/album/aztl-n and Spotify.

“Cabrakaan remind me of Epica, not so much because they sound like Epica, but when you listen to Epica you are kind of aware of how much is going on in the background, and it’s the same with Cabrakaan. If you really listen, there is a lot going on in these songs, all kinds of folk instruments adding to the orchestration, double tracked vocals, etc., and the sound is huge…. this is a fantastic album.” 8/10 – Power Play Magazine UK

“a solid operatic, folk metal experience” – Folk-Metal.nl

““Tonantzin,” hits the spot, setting up for a very nice introduction. Pressing all the right pressure points.” – The Median Man

“This was a great, interesting listen.” – Overtone Magazine

“In the world of metal music, where genres often blend and boundaries are pushed, there emerges a band that beautifully merges traditional folk elements with the raw power of heavy metal. Enter Cabrakaän, a Mexican folk metal band on a mission to reconnect with their ancestral roots and preserve the rich cultural heritage of Mexico.” – Infrared Magazine

“‘Aztlán’, weaves a compelling narrative of the Spanish colonization era and slavery in Mexico, infusing African and Spanish folklore into the country’s musical fabric. Named after the mythical home of the Aztecs, ‘Aztlán’ remains a mystery to this day, much like the band’s unique fusion of historical Mexican instruments and folk metal.” – Charm Music

“CABRAKAÄN has released an amazing, fun, well-written album with influences from various folk styles aligned with Death Metal. It’s definitely one of the best releases of the year in the style and the band deserves all the attention they are getting from the media and the public. 10/10” – Metal Temple (review 2019 – Cem Anahuac My Home)

“While the band may celebrate cultures that are unknown to most Canadian metal fans, Cipäktli says live performances by Cabrakaan are an immersive experience. The band, who wear face paint and costumes to conjure up the “time of the Aztecs,” like to give audiences both a visual and sonic feast.”

-Calgary Herald: “Symphonic Metal Band Cabrakaän Brings Spirit Of Ancient Mexico To Calgary”

“The use of traditional, lesser-known instruments that rarely leave Central/South America jamming along with metal instruments – in a way that would make Ozzy Osbourne in his prime proud – is the last thing Calgary expected to experience, and yet Cabrakaän is here.”

– Calgary Journal: “Cabrakaän, Calgary’s friendly neighbourhood Mexican folk metal fusion band”

Get ready to have your face blown off with the latest thrash attack from Canada’s Hyperia. Their third full-length “The Serpent’s Cycle”, out on November 17th, marks a new era for them boasting some of the most aggressive thrash metal they’ve ever written, complimented with plenty of melodic vocals and guitar work. It consists of everything Hyperia stands for shred, speed, and intricacy and it will definitely catch the attention of musicians and non-musicians alike. Hyperia shares their excitement for the release:

“This is the first album we’ve released that isn’t much of a concept album like our first two. This album deals with different lyrical ideas such as the human condition, philosophy, psychology, partying, and much more. Musically this album is insanely aggressive, technical, and fast. We have some of the fastest songs we’ve ever written on this album and during recording, we were all definitely pushed to, and sometimes past, our limits.”

To Hyperia, “The Serpent’s Cycle” is the pinnacle so far of their creativity and finesse. They’ve taken familiar elements they’ve used before, such as menacing thrash riffs and pretty melodies and by presenting a seamless interaction between each member of the band, their signature sound and furious stage presence is something to be admired.

The eleven-track album is much more polished than its predecessors and continues the same writing process, the majority of the songwriting is done by guitarist Colin Ryley but everyone gives input and transforms the songs into what they are in the end. Ryley also mixed the album, while Mika Jussila mastered it and the album art was done by Caitlin Delaplace.

Wailing vocals, shredding guitars, and fast, heavy drums await in “The Serpent’s Cycle”, which is recommended for fans of Lost Society, Exmortus, and Municipal Waste.

“It’s a real pleasure witnessing the evolution of Hyperia through the years, carving their names in the Canadian scene and becoming one of the driving forces of the current Thrash Metal environment, with The Serpent’s Cycle definitely taking the band to new heights. ” – The Headbanging Moose

“The band sound absolutely blistering with the lead guitar work at a very impressive level while Marlee puts in her best vocal performance to date with unhinged screams and demonic snarls mixed in with some more melodic vocals which remain aggressive and full of that unbeatable thrash attitude. “The Serpent’s Cycle” is a great thrash record which retains its old school sound whilst incorporating a melodic sensibility without diluting the aggression. Definitely the strongest material the band have released to date and a big step up for the band. Another great thrash release in what has been a very strong year for the genre.” – Ever Metal

“A consistent piece of work, that thrashes, bites and grabs your attention with power, hardness and a melodic under current. If you like hard hitting melodic thrash, then ‘ The Serpent’s Cycle ‘ is one to look out for. All through this record there are precise rhythm and lead guitars, hammering drums, the bass rumbling along in all the right places. The musicianship is excellent and Marlee Ryley’s vocals are brutal. The production is clear, the guitars are up front, maybe I would personally like clearer vocals, but maybe hard to have good intonation when screaming and growling. Having listened to this album more than a few times now, it is definitely a grower, these four are tight, the serpents cycle only gets better with every listen .” – The Metal Pit

“devilish energy and almost limitless power, playful skills, the outstanding performance of Fronterin Marlee Ryley, creative, improved songwriting as well as a threatening sound world of aggression and madness!” – Obliveon

“Nothing seems to be able to stop these wild and unbridled Metal maniacs, and I believe that the live campaign to follow is going to be a real butchery.” – MetalNews.fr

““The Serpent’s Cycle” contains plenty to enjoy… if fast and furious is your bag, this is an album that you should spend some time with when it is released.” – Female Fronted Power

“If you prefer your metal loud, dark and just a touch campy (and who doesn’t?), then Calgary-turned-Vancouver rockers Hyperia are planning to deliver with Silhouettes of Horror, the follow-up to 2020’s equally furious and equally fun Insanitorium. First single “Operation Midnight” is an unrelenting barrage of riffage held down by Marlee Ryley’s throat-blistering vocals.” – Exclaim! – One of Exclaim!’s most anticipated albums of 2022

“With their second album Silhouettes Of Horror, Canadian thrashers Hyperia doubled down on the most ferocious elements of their sound to achieve a sound that owed more than a passing nod to Tetonic thrashers Kreator or Destruction. The fact vocalist Marlee Ryley can deliver blackened snarls with as much gusto as trad-metal histrionics helped them stand out from the crowd, firmly establishing Hyperia as promising up-and-comers in the wide world of thrash. RH” – Metal Hammer – The top 10 best thrash metal albums of 2022

Prepare to be horrified as England’s Foetal Juice dives into a myriad of sick and twisted topics on their latest release “Grotesque”. This is the ninth instalment in their disgusting and deranged discography that has been swelling like an abscess since 2005. It’s a relentless barrage of blast beats, horror and gore that will have you questioning your sanity.

On “Grotesque”, the band blends the harsh nuances of grindcore, death and black metal, infusing them with inescapably high-quality musicianship and endearingly insalubrious lyrics, to produce superior, revolting extreme metal, and an audial experience akin to the pleasure of perforating a throbbing, rancid boil; immensely satisfying and intensely disgusting. They comment on this new release:

“We really wanted to push our abilities as far as we could with this one by introducing speeds and techniques we haven’t used in the past. I think overall we have accomplished this and even added other elements such as the intro to the last song. It’s a route we have never taken before but it has turned out really well. We are very happy with the results.”

Foetal Juice’s sound is a melting pot of influences, ranging from death metal and grindcore to black metal, gore, groove, thrash, and even Enya. Their evolution as a band has brought new dimensions to their music, incorporating diverse elements while staying true to their death metal roots.

Notorious for their catalogue of unpleasantries and musical vulgarities, this album promises to be heavier, catchier, faster, and more aggressive than anything they’ve ever done before. It’s a relentless assault on the senses, and Foetal Juice is ready to claim its place in the annals of brutal death metal.

“Grotesque” was produced, mixed and mastered by Chris Fielding and the album artwork was done by Misanthropic Art that captures the desperation of humankind. It is recommended listening for aficionados of brutality and gore, and those who enjoy Cannibal Corpse, Deicide, and Vomitory.

Listen to the full album stream for “Grotesque” via its worldwide premiere on NoCleanSinging HERE.

“Grotesque” is due out on November 17th, 2023 via Gore House Productions and is available for album pre-order (Cassette/ CD)/digital) pre-save at https://orcd.co/grotesque.

“it is rare for a genre this ingrained to be played straight with such eagerness and unrelenting energy, and that alone puts Foetal Juice ahead of the pack.” – 4/5 – Angry Metal Guy

“Gluttony shows us FOETAL JUICE at their fastest, heaviest and most aggressive. They’ve taken the fire and surging adrenaline of their live shows and have harnessed that power and it’s been manifested into their sophomore record. Full of grit and gristle that will not be for everybody, but if you fancy some gloriously grotesque death metal, look no further and indulge yourself in a bit of filth.” 9/10 – Distorted Sound Mag

“When the band says that they are at the top of their game and the album is death metal from the top tier, more capable of taking on the biggest names in the genre – and winning, it not just shallow brag. It’s completely true.” – The Razors Edge

“The punishment for gluttony is to be forced fed rats, snakes and toads. Foetal Juice make you swallow something far more repulsive.” – Moshville Times

“Dragging death metal kicking and screaming back to its putrid past (i.e. the late 80’s / early 90’s), the deviants in Manchester’s Foetal Juice deliver nothing but the finest old-school onslaught on their second album, Gluttony. Gorging on the very life-force of death metal’s founding fathers means that Foetal Juice share an undeniable kinship with the likes of Cannibal Corpse (think Bloodthirst era) and Master (circa On the Seventh Day god Created …Master) as they steadfastly go about their barbaric business. That is to say that Foetal Juice take the tastiest chunks of these bands and re-form them into a meaty platter of modern sounding death metal with an old-school twist.” – Worship Metal

Unleashing their latest and sixth full-length “Kill.Bury.Repeat.” via Gore House Productions, Kansas City, USA’s Torn The Fuck Apart are treating fans to their latest video for the brutal track “Corrosive Form” via its premiere on Lambgoat HERE.

The band explains the track:

“Corrosive Form is a song about the disposal of a body through a chemical reaction. A song inspired by the serial killer John Robinson aka Slavemaster; a serial killer, con man, embezzler, kidnapper, and forger who was found guilty in 2003 for three murders committed in and around the Kansas City area. On a farm in Kansas, a task force found the decaying bodies of two women in two chemical drums. Across the state line in Missouri, investigators searched a storage facility where Robinson rented two garages. They found three similar chemical drums containing corpses.”

Torn The Fuck Apart (TTFA) has been amassing a brutal and gory discography since 2006 and now they continue their triumphant evolution as a three-piece powerhouse with their sixth release “Kill.Bury.Repeat.” that will bury listeners in a fury of death metal. Their sound features groove, aggression, and technicality layered with lyrics growling out themes of horror and homicide.

“A collection of horror stories from our imagination or inspired by true events, we believe our new album “Kill.Bury.Repeat.” represents the next level of brutality that we have worked to achieve over the years not only musically but also lyrically, something that any fan of metal can enjoy.” says the band.

TTFA‘s lineup consists of Michael Langner on guitars/vocals, Brandon Mitchell on bass/vocals, and Dylan Watt on drums/vocals. Notably, Langner and Mitchell also double as members of Troglodyte, while Watt remains active in Sedlec Ossuary. Over the years, their sound has matured and evolved, partly due to their refusal to limit musical influences, thus drawing inspiration from various metal subgenres and incorporating different styles into their music.

In essence, they sum up their sound simply as “death metal,” but their music offers a vivid and detailed portrait of the horrors of death, the cycle of rebirth, and humanity’s morbid fascination with these themes. Not ones to sit idly by, they are overflowing with creative ideas and ensure fans that there will be a continuous stream of death metal devastation in the coming months. They are recommended listening for fans of Suffocation, Cryptopsy, and Cannibal Corpse.

Brutal, gory, fast, and technical, “Kill.Bury.Repeat.” was released by Gore House Productions and is available on CD, Digital, and Vinyl at the following link – https://orcd.co/kill-bury-repeat

“The Kansas City-based band are known for a full-on, brutal approach, and this new track is no exception. This is the second single (A Statement of Malicious Intent) released from the anticipated full-length, and it proves the band are not slowing their roll at all, as it pummels through fast and furious.” – Decibel Magazine

“”If you’re just after some brutality and aggression, you’ll find it on ‘Kill.Bury.Repeat’ and you’ll be happy with it.” – Metal Underground

“Torn the Fuck Apart is one of the most unpretentious band names in extreme metal, and it’s also an example of “truth in advertising”: their music delivers what the name promises. Much the same could be said for this Kansas City’s band’s new album that’s due for release next month: Kill. Bury. Repeat.” – No Clean Singing

“The new full length sees the band trimming down to a trio from the quartet from which we last heard, and the result is ten songs which are lean, mean, and designed to punch a hole in your head like the blast from a 12 gauge shotgun. Unsurprisingly, the music is uncompromisingly aggressive, the lyrical content intense, and cover art suitably intimidating.” – The Pitch (Kansas City’s independent source for news and culture)

“If you’re into any sort of extreme metal, then you will love this. It’s got all sorts going on and I can hear shades of Obituary, Cannibal Corpse, Deicide, Goatwhore and others. TTFK might be a trio but they make one hell of a noise and are as tight as a ducks butt. Death metal is in safe, but dangerous, hands with these guys and I’ll be sourcing their back catalogue ASAP.” – My Global Mind

“Classic brutal death metal, a little black metal vox, otherwise, a meaty cannibal corpse type sound” – The Moshpit – WORT 89.9 FM (Madison, WI)

“With grim and guttural intent, Torn the Fuck Apart take no prisoners here. Sticking rigidly to the brutal death metal formula, but also infusing the album with a level of horror that makes for a bloodcurdling listen.” – Games, Brrraaains & A Headbanging-Life

Death Metal is in safe, but dangerous, hands with these guys and I’ll be sourcing their back catalogue ASAP.” – Jace Media Music

“The title track is a collation of everything here and is an absolute cracker of how they can build songs that fit within the brutal genre without being one note. Great stuff. The later songs chart similar paths but album closer sees them go full tilt with Scratch the Bone which is just storming. That tightness, the changing modes just deliver one of the best metal songs of 2023. This and the title track represent a high watermark, and they should be proud of them, just total quality… They have achieved what they set out to do, raising their game in order to move forward and sit at the table with the likes of Dying Fetus et al.” 4/5″ – Metal Epidemic

“TTFA’s musical technique is undeniable” – Amplified Magazin

“With a band name and album title like that, of course it’s some brutal death metal. I’ll tell you what, it goes hard for it’s 40+ minutes, too. Heck, even the mixing is in-your-face, with everything feeling like it’s turned up to 11 and right there at the front. If I’ve written those in a way that make them sound like bad things, they aren’t at all. I surprisingly liked this album way more than I thought I would! There are a lot of fantastic riffs throughout, and the low growls are really impressive… I’d LOVE to see these tracks live and if anyone’s into this sort of music you’ll love it!” – Overtone Magazine

DIRTY AUDIO MACHINE’s New Video “Are You Alive” Pushes Back The Oppressor With Its Slick Riffs

New EP “Only Fury Remains” Out Now!

Prepare to dive into the world of groove metal once again with the latest track from Dirty Audio Machine’s EP “Only Fury Remains”, which was released in June of this year. The track “Are You Alive” is four minutes of slick riffs, abrasive southern style gutturals, and gritty cleans that will leave an impression. The band shares the premise behind the song.

“Like the track before it (“System Of Revolution”), “Are You Alive” is another call to arms, expressing a desire for people to wake up and fight back against their oppressors, and general dismay at how unaware and/or apathetic a lot of people are about what is going on. The people have the power.”

Watch and listen to the video for “Are You Alive” via its premiere on Bravewords HERE.

Following the success of their previous release, “King of Disappointment” in 2022, Dirty Audio Machine returns with “Only Fury Remains,” a five-song EP that showcases their relentless pursuit of groove, intensity, and energetic lyrical themes. There is no end in sight for these guys either, they have more songs in the pipe and expect to release a new EP in the not-so-distant future.

Main songwriter and band founder Steve Ricardo often finds inspiration striking at 2 AM, prompting him to head to his home studio and record riff ideas using his cell phone. It’s a testament to the band’s dedication to capturing the essence of their music at any given moment. He also produced and mixed the EP; the artwork, created by LOKI, depicts the end of mankind—a fitting representation of the EP’s themes of struggle and anger.

A brick wall of groove metal talking about life’s challenges and making it one day at a time, “Only Fury Remains” is a heavy, relatable record about how the struggle is real. Recommended for fans of Static X, Anthrax, and Lamb of God, the EP, released on July 11, 2023, is available on https://dirtyaudiomachine.bandcamp.com and Spotify.
