Track by track (LYRICALLY & MUSICALLY) explained:
1. First Day on Earth – This song is about our Protagonist finding love at first sight. This song is the first song on our EP that begins the story with a gentle but powerful chorus.
2. Lioness – This song is Heavy and just hits where it needs to hit with the message very clear as day!
3. Sanguine – Our single, Powerful, Catchy, DRAMATIC, this song completely turns the story around.
4. Collapsed Heart – The feeling of Rage, Guilt, Despair This song musically sums up the emotional wreck our protagonist is feeling
5. Mute – Every feel like you want to tell someone a secret but can’t trust them? This song explains that feeling, with heavy breakdowns and a bridge that pulls it all together.
6. Brand New Start – Upbeat, fast, Catchy. This pulls the EP off the ground from its dark story.
7. Our Dear Finale – Our final song of the EP, this ends the story with a dramatic finish.

BAND STORY ANGLES / FUN FACTS:
1. The EP is based on a story from one of our good friends about domestic abuse.
2. Along The Lines originally were called Patterns below until we scrapped that name 2 months later.
3. Along The Lines are all nerds and play Magic the Gathering with their producer Mark Governali at least once a week.
4. Along The Lines rented an Airbnb when they recorded the “Sanguine” music video.

Along the Lines is a band out of Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada that was established in 2020. Initiated by guitarist Tanner Bell, drummer Austin Baxter, bassist Greg Vahaaho, vocalist Jonathon Reid and guitarist Brady Geurts, who have all previously worked together, came up with the idea for the band.
The evolution between the previous band’s sound and what’s coming up in this new form is an incredible departure. The songs hit HARD, the lyrics POP and the story is DRAMATIC. They take elements of metalcore, hardcore and post-hardcore, impactful lyrics, and catchy riffs to produce a sound that is infectious, noble, and full of emotion.
Their debut EP “Our Dear Finale” was released in the autumn of 2022. More music is on the way as they are now focusing on writing their full length.
