“I am very excited to present the first wave of bands for Hyperspace Metal Festival III. When I started this festival I wanted to provide a platform for power and melodic metal bands in North America and this is certainly the strongest lineup we’ve had yet. We can’t wait to share the rest of the lineup with you on October 21st!” says festival organizer Joey Hockin

The full line up will be released on October 21, 2019.

Highlights of the confirmed bands include: Best known for their speed metal take on video game music, Powerglove (USA) will be headlining on Sunday with touring mates Immortal Guardian (USA) of who Gabriel Guardian brings his one of a kind ability to shred on guitar and keyboard AT THE SAME TIME. Fellow Americans Helion Prime will be showcasing their metal-tinged with scientific theories on Friday. More bands will be confirmed in the coming weeks.

0 “Given the illustrious tradition that Iron Kingdom takes up as a musical mission, the album is done remarkably well. It is time for fans of the style to give the Canadians a good listen because they have lots to offer. The singing is unique and the guitar heroes of heavy metal have done a great job of inspiring this band. If you are a big fan of traditional heavy metal, you might have some problems moving on from this album: you’ll find that it is worth repeated listens.” – The Metal Bulletin paper zine

SHORT BIO

Comprised of several musicians with a long history in Calgary’s metal scene (Culled, After Earth, Meddigo, False Flag, WAKE, Disciples of Power, Exit Strategy, and Razorwing), THIRD CHAMBER is cooking up a new, yet familiar death metal sound that will nourish even the pickiest of metal enthusiasts.

With death being the main ingredient in their metal melting pot, hints of grindcore and hardcore also stand out amidst flavours of politically charged lyrics. THIRD CHAMBER is not music for the soft, besides being musically ferocious, the lyrical content is a brutal reflection of the current state of the world. From negative motivations of religious organizations, the effects of social media on mental distress, the ever-growing pride of ignorance, the exploitation of our natural resources for the profit of the wealthy and the manipulation and lack of actual truth in most media consumed by the ever-growing bewildered herd.

In 2019, THIRD CHAMBER is releasing their debut five-track EP “Harvesting Our Decay”.

LONG BIO

Comprised of several musicians with a long history in Calgary’s metal scene (Culled, After Earth, Meddigo, False Flag, WAKE, Disciples of Power, Exit Strategy, and Razorwing), THIRD CHAMBER is cooking up a new, yet familiar death metal sound that will nourish even the pickiest of metal enthusiasts.

In the cold brisk autumn of 2014, five musicians came together haphazardly from the ashes of previous projects with a small batch of material on the table. A year later, Dustin Hahn (drums), Jamie McIsaac (guitar), Jay (guitar), and Russ Gauthier (bass) had enough polished material to fill a full set but were lacking a vocalist. It wasn’t until 2017 when the perfect match was found in Shane Hawco and the lineup was finally deemed complete.

With death being the main ingredient in their metal melting pot, hints of grindcore and hardcore also stand out amidst flavours of politically charged lyrics. It starts with Jay and McIssac hammering out riffs which get stirred together and sent to Hahn who adds a heavy dose of blast beats. Gauthier and Hawco add the final garnishes and the chugging death metal feast is ready to be served violently.

NEWS RELEASE

Montreal, QC – October 7, 2019

Montreal’s Stoner Rock Outfit MOUNTAIN DUST Announce Four Live Dates This Autumn

Fresh off their acclaimed performance at this year’s Heavy Montreal and releasing a popular video for ‘Stop Screaming’ off their latest album “Seven Storms”, Montreal’s Mountain Dust are bringing their southern tinged stoner rock to ears in central Canada for four intimate and heavy shows in Ontario and Quebec.

“Five out of five Satan salutes for Mountain Dust…the music breathed, but it breathed like Godzilla…Imagine Zeppelin on their first American tour, pre-superstardom; that’s the impression Mountain Dust left in their wake.” – CultMTL

The stage veterans have toured through the international festival circuit and made it onto international charts. Their sound is a new take on melancholic southern stoner rock with doomy melodies that remain heavy enough to keep the audience moving.

Mountain Dust can be seen live on the following dates:
November 1 – Toronto, ON – Hard Luck Bar
November 2 – London, ON – Call – The Office
December 13 – Montreal, QC – Casa Del Popolo
December 14 – Quebec City, QC – La Source De La Martiniere

About:

Montreal’s Mountain Dust return in 2018 with a powerful sophomore album entitled Seven Storms. The band is on track to further differentiate themselves from the modern rock herd with even more diverse instrumentation and songwriting prowess than their first effort, 2016’s Nine Years, which was well received the world over and secured them a deal with German boutique stoner rock imprint Kozmik Artifactz.

Seven Storms remains rooted in the heavy rock styles that emerged in the late 1960s/early ’70s but uniquely includes references to emotive soundscapes and cinematic “Spaghetti Western” scores. Vocalist Brendan Mainville continues to use descriptive imagery and clever storytelling to paint vivid pictures of both pain and triumph.
