Out Now! North American Release Italian Symphonic Metal SOUND STORM “Vertigo”
New Video “Forsaken”
European Tour Dates w/MirrorMaze

Unleashing their third studio album “Vertigo” in Europe last December via Rockshot Records, Italian symphonic metallers Sound Storm have now made the release available in North America officially as of October 13th.
Digital and CD album order for North America available on Amazon at https://tinyurl.com/y7fngh4t
“Vertigo” was produced in the Netherlands at Sandlane Recording Facilities with Joost Van Den Broek (Epica, Ayreon, Xandria) and is something more than a metal album, the music has a cinematic purpose. The overall concept of “Vertigo” is a Victorian – steam punk story, firstly based on Dante’s Inferno idea and then developed to a more psychological/introspective tale. Gabriel is the main character of the story, an unsuccessful composer who becomes a scientist, starting a war against his troubled mind and forcing himself to destroy everything beloved. The only handhold seems to be a mystic dragonfly, leading Gabriel among the floors of a huge spiral staircase.
Music video “Forsaken” filmed during the band’s performance at the 2016 Lucca Comics and Games, one of Europe’s largest comic cons.

In additional news, those in Europe will be able to see Sound Storm‘s live musical as the band enjoys a massive use of cinematic elements (video, fireworks, pyros, led lights etc) to transform their fiction into reality.

“What you have is a forward looking, very deep and multi-layered progressive album that draws a just bit on past works.” – Metal Underground (Review Vertigo)
“Vertigo offers something really impressive, it is great symphonic power metal with some forward thinking meaning that they sound very fresh and exciting. The arrangements, the songs, everything is great on this album and I don’t think it has any weaknesses – not any worth mentioning anyway. I find this to be very appealing and when it comes to making symphonic power metal I think you will have to look very long and very hard to find anything that rivals these guys.” Hallowed
““Vertigo” is a very accomplished album with great thought given to the music and the lyrics, as well as the atmospheric nature of the record. As in most Symphonic Metal albums, this album features blistering lead guitar work and choir vocals. Operatic vocals and cello melodies are incorporated to give an epic feel to the tracks. However, this album varies from other albums of similar sounding bands due to the band’s commitment towards, not only aural gratification, but also the way they set about creating a visual tapestry with their tunes.” – Metal Temple
“Each song on itself is a masterpiece filled with symphonic and power metal parts accompanied by great guitar riffs and solo’s. To complete the picture with songs like “Metamorphosis” they each tell their own story and yet when they are put together they show us the world of Gabriel the main character…This album is by far one of the best ones to come out in a while, it has the whole package a story, skilled band members, great producing and it’s as original as it can.” – Grimm Gent (Review Vertigo)
“Sound Storm may seem an epic power metal band. Occasionally, they emit a vicious edge. The compelling melodies of singing and guitar work cannot be counted on one hand. Everything is accompanied by a lot of electronic and symphonic pieces. After a brief intro ‘The Dragonfly’ sounds like a fairytale splendor with its many different styles and parts. Everything is brought with a good dose of bombast.” – Lords of Metal (Review Vertigo)
“Like Parmigianino painting a beautiful landscape in the 1500’s, Sound Storm paints its own masterpiece with each band member adding broad strokes to the soundscape of ‘Immortalia.'” – Metal Underground (Review Immortalia)
