The album throws up some punchy punk sounds, gets grimy with rock riffs and lays in the hay singing some country. Does this mean you get three albums for the price of one? Well, if so, I think all three should be worth a listen.

NEWS RELEASE

Montreal, QC – May 3, 2017

Montreal Alt-Rockers THE RISING FEW Have A Bigger Sound On New EP “Adult Entertainment”

Montreal, QC’s THE RISING FEW are upping their game with a bigger sound and larger than life songs with the launch of their taunting new EP ‘Adult Entertainment’, a high-energy, anthemic songbook sure to resonate with all rock enthusiasts.Cairo born singer-songwriter, Karim Terouz, fronts the now expanded THE RISING FEW, a culturally diverse group of Montreal musicians from scattered points of the world (Haiti, France, Syria, Canada, Brazil, Armenia and Egypt) that seem to converge in their shared love for melodically constructed, Springsteen inflicted rock and roll storytelling.

With their forthcoming EP, ‘Adult Entertainment’, the follow up to their 2014 debut album “Sinners On St-Laurent’”, THE RISING FEW have transitioned from their beginnings as a folky local singer songwriter/backing band to stadium-worthy rock for the world’s global mainstream stage.

Delusional behavior is the main theme driving this new EP’s lyrical and musical content. Songs like “Big Boy Games” illustrate the act of treason while ‘’The Sinking of The I’m Alone’’ depicts the historical sinking of the Canadian schooner the ‘’I’m Alone’’ during the prohibition era. Other songs like the hypnotic “Try Try Again” flirts with the delusion of failure while the subtle ‘’Lights and Shadows’’ tackles melancholy in love-loss, as you cannot fight without loving. The generous EP also contains 2 additional bonus tracks.

“It was GO BIG or GO HOME! We’re all recent immigrants to Canada and in a time where cultural differences are threatened, THE RISING FEW take the chance to promote their unity, by tackling these issues and presenting them in classy, colorful, adult contemporary rock.” says Karim Terouz.

“Adult Entertainment” is due out May 12th and will be available on iTunes, Spotify and all major online retailers.

THE RISING FEW will be joined by friends Po Lazarus opening the event with an acoustic set. The launch will also be in a gallery-like setting with a hand drawn replica of the massive mural painted by THE RISING FEW vocalist Karim Terouz (watch here) up for auction along with installation art. Plus on location at the event, THE RISING FEW will be joined by The Vocalist Magazine, the Bell Media documentary show that highlights Montreal artists on Bell Fibe TV.

1. Try Try Again (Gonna Need A Helping Hand) (4:24)
2. Gullible (4:08)

Montreal, QC – May 3, 2017

FREEDOM’S NOTE Posts Tribute Video For Fort McMurray Wildfire Fire Fighters & First Responders

As a tribute to the fire fighters and first responders of last year’s wildfires in Fort McMurray, local rockers FREEDOM’S NOTE have released a special edition video of their song “The Fight” for the 1-Year Anniversary to honour those who worked to save their city.

The video is premiered exclusively on PureGrainAudio.com at http://puregrainaudio.com/videos/freedom-s-note-share-touching-fort-mcmurray-tribute-via-the-fight-acoustic-video-exclusive-premiere

“All of us in the band, like so many more living in Fort McMurray are from other parts of the country and the globe. The day we left our homes we had no idea if we would ever return to the city. Those brave men and women sacrificed so much to ensure we had a community to come back to. They were an inspiration to us and 80,000 plus more people. To show our appreciation we wanted to not only write this song, but share a special video as well!” comments vocalist / guitarist Donny Synard.

FREEDOM’S NOTE is currently working on their first EP album slated for a summer 2017 release and will be performing with Finger Eleven & Buckcherry on August 25th in Fort McMurray at the East Coast Garden Party…. More dates to be announced!

About:

Taking influence from Europe’s music festival circuit, Armstrong Metal Fest is a heavy metal celebration that encourages metal heads from across Canada and the globe to mosh and camp with the backdrop of great outdoors of British Columbia’s Okanagan Valley. What started as a backyard party in 2009 with nothing but eleven local metal bands such as Terrifier, Xul and Odinfist to name a few, has grown into a a huge success admired by the Western Canadian Metal scene. 2016 was the eighth year of the festival and was its largest year for music and attendance. Previous years of the festival have seen line ups with Cattle Decapitation, Suffocation, Beyond Creation, Dayglo Abortions, Rivers of Nihil, The Zenith Passage, Anciients, Bison BC, Striker, Crimson Shadows, Holy Grail, Archspire, Cryptopsy, Unleash The Archers, Divinity, Into Eternity, Ninjaspy, Vesperia, XUL, Odinfist, Death Toll Rising, Gomorrah among many others.
