Vancouver thrashers TERRIFIER announce they will be hitting the road for a mini tour in April plus will be headlining this year’s 2nd annual CEMR MetalFest in Calgary, AB on April 8th along with other festival performances at Armstrong MetalFest and Metallion Fest this summer. The show dates are in support of TERRIFIER‘s new album ‘Weapons of Thrash Destruction’ released in January of this year via Test Your Metal Records to follow their 2013 EP ‘Metal or Death’ and 2012 full-length ‘Destroyers of the Faith’. Incorporating jackhammer drums, bulldozing bass-lines, a twin-lead attack that leaves posers pulped in its wake, and vocals that can level mountains, TERRIFIER’s motto could well be ‘thrashing is our business…and business is good’.

ARMSTRONG METALFEST reveals the set times for their 2017 line up being held on July 14th and 15th at the Hassen Arena in Armstrong, BC. This year’s headliners include Boston’s tech death / thrash titans REVOCATION, Vancouver’s reggae-metal fusion NINJASPY, Canadian 80’s thrash legends AGGRESSION and Vancouver Whammy Award Best Local Metal Artist winner GOLERS among many more from across the country. Situated in the Okanagan Valley with the beautiful backdrop of the Rocky Mountains, ARMSTRONG METALFEST, now in its ninth year, is British Columbia’s largest gathering of metalheads from across Western Canada and beyond.

ABOUT RAICES:
Her third full-length album entitled “Raices” was released on November 29, 2016 to follow her sophomore album “Risin’!”, an album that was dedicated to love in all its forms whereas “Raices”, meaning ’roots’ in Spanish, is a new kind of musical love letter.
Bringing forward the sounds of traditional acoustic instruments from Cuba and her native Ukraine, “Raices” is fully comprised of organic instrumentation, impressively blending roots-reggae and Afro-Cuban rhythms with folk-pop lyrics and melodies paired by Auresia’s sweet-as-honey voice.
Recorded between Cuba and Canada, “Raices” is a true labor of love. Trading in the simple fun of her first two records for a more refined sound, Auresia delivers a raw truthful interpretation of everyday life and the realities of being a strong woman. The one thing that hasn’t changed is her deep-rooted passion for Reggae and Latin music. Although most of her lyrics are sung in English, she masterfully weaves in Spanish phrases as well as words in Lakota, the native tongue of the people of the Sioux tribes.
Auresia is not the kind of artist you encounter every day. It’s this very element of surprise that makes this singer-songwriter one of the most exciting young Canadian talents emerging in the industry today.
