“The raw and rapid fire fire intensity of the track is worth checking out if you want a lot more nihilism to kickstart or pre-emptively finish your November. The drums are psycho! And that solo!”- Metal Riot

“This particular sample, “Dead Burning Christ”, is a tight and unrelenting barrage of chaotic percussion, exceptionally dark vocal passages, and impressive lead guitar work.” – Nine Circles

“it’s fast, it’s aggressive and blasphemous!” – Metal Recusants

“If hatred, evil, blasphemy, vengeance, violence and total negativity is what you are, then here is your soulmate: hate and blasphemy is at the center of the KRATORNAS black metal music…This album features 10 pulverizing high octane tracks meant for fans of brutal Black Metal and Grindcore combined!” – Metal Bulletin

“Kratornas cranks out the sacrilege and chaos like Absu on speed…The solos are madness on this record, as are most of the riffs.  This is certainly one of the fastest extreme metal records of the year.  I also dig the staccato vocals…If you’re looking for some brain-melting blackened thrash and grind to scare off most of your loved ones, look no further…it manages to rival the most extreme albums of the year.” – Metal Trenches

“There are a lot of bands that are evil and sound like they came straight from hell, but not all of those bands have the potential to instill fear into Jesus and that is what Kratornas has the ability to do…Devoured By Damnation is the name of their new blasphemous release and this ten track record is just enough to make the blood boil of Christ himself. Each song sounds as though evil incarnate has been pumped into them and when played they unleash a hellish fury…With their brand of chaotic black metal combined with some grindcore, Kratornas aim to rip the faces off of anyone who comes within earshot. ” – Cadaver Garden

“Kratornas is ripping barbaric death metal in the vein of older Krisiun, Angelcorpse and Impiety.” – wormwood Chronicles

Bursting out of the metal underground with a third-world fury not seen since the mighty Sepultura unleashed their seminal ‘Beneath ‘The Remains’, Kratornas are set to make a devastating onslaught on the world of metal.

If any band has ever earned its chance it is Kratornas, the brainchild of a certain Zachariah. He began Kratornas in the early 90’s despite dealing with problems many Western bands never encounter like crime, corruption, poverty, lack of equipment, or even an outlet to buy records! Truly we can see why Kratornas are inspired by real-life horrors. Zachariah’s love of metal was born from tape-trading. To put Zachariah’s glacial patience in perspective, after many primitive demos, Kratornas’ debut album was finally released in 2007! In 2011, Zachariah left the Philippines to seek a place more friendly to his art, finally settling in Canada.

Kratornas’ new album, ‘Devoured By Damnation’ is the first that was properly recorded. The music is inspired by ‘Bathory, Deicide, Sadus, Terrorizer and Vader’ and will ‘treat listeners like punching bags!’, it’s sound being ‘raw, primitive, deranged, high octane, fast, a combination of grindcore, raw black metal, death metal punch and thrash metal riffs.

‘Devoured By Damnation’ is due out December 8th via Grathila Records.

“They take a somewhat different slant on Death/Thrash Metal, cleverly mixing subtle technical riffs and aggressive rasping vocals then blending traditional elements with a modern slant along with tight melodies and heavy rhythms and the result is both crushing and engaging.”

About:

Teramobil first appeared in 2010 when Unhuman’s Mathieu Bérubé and Alexandre Dupras had some time off and started creating a new form of ”riffing” where different styles plus current would collide to structure themselves in a very distinct way for every individual song. Spending the first year gathering ideas and writing compositions, they started seeking a bass player to complete the instrumental trio. Bassist Dominic ”Forest” Lapointe finally joined during fall 2011. Being a frequent visitor of the pair’s famous jams, he proposed to start playing with them in order to bring a third vision to this musical exploration.

The trio recorded their first EP ”Multispectral Supercontinuum” in 2013 and supported it with a video for the release’s title-track along with multiple performances in the Montreal area along bands such as Cryptopsy, Gorguts and Animals As Leaders.

With their new album ”Magnitude Of Thoughts” coming out in late 2016, the band seeks to push the envelope further, still offering lots of variety, but with longer song structures, developing darker progressive ambiance while retaining a chaotic rock groove. On ‘Magnitude of Thoughts’, the three musicians have invited Gorguts’ Luc Lemay as second guitarist on the song ”Thanatonaut” as well as Augury’s Antoine Baril who played organ on the title track.

You are invited to follow Teramobil on this musical journey where norms are non-existant and where non-typical art researchers might be interested. To be continued!

“The Press Gang knows how: loud riffs and never knowing when to quit.” – Beatroute

“…high energy, fun and really refreshing to hear.” – Absolute Underground

“Optimal Running Speed is a straight-up, hard rock album garnished with a metal-punk twist. Heavy guitar riffs, accompanied by raspy, harmonized vocals cover the metal influence; the underlining quick tempo is pure punk. At first listen, it may not seem as raw as their previous albums as there’s less grit than featured on earlier recordings.” – Beatroute

Formed in 2006, lead-vocalist Colin McCulloch explains how he named the band. ‘In history class I learned what a Press Gang was. When a ship was low on personnel they’d sail into a port, and send to shore a Press Gang, a band of men with the intent of ‘pressing’ men into service to replenish the crew. They’d often wait outside a pub for local drunkards, whom they’d crack over the head and stuff into a burlap sack. When the poor sod would wake up, he’d be at sea, part of the new crew! That, to me, sounded like how an aggressive band should gain new fans.’

Lyrically, The Press Gang draws on the state of the world around us, observing wisely. ‘A lot of the songs are metaphors for the state of affairs regarding the human condition. Especially of late with the continuing trend of Political Correctness being perverted into what is today increasingly the divide with Neo Liberalism and the Right Wing and its ever-changing redefinition of terms. It’s a massive grey area, and while we have all the tools to better communicate, it would seem we do less and less of it successfully. The screen has no quality over actual human interaction and tone of voice.’

While this fifth album ‘MEDUSA-5’ released on October 12th, 2016 shows the band at the top of their game, live they slay! ‘We like to engage the crowds and employ our early punk ethic strategy…We like to string them together like a 1,2,3 punch, give them a small chance to breathe and hit ‘em again immediately with another three songs in a row. Playing our material with the utmost intensity is always our goal for a live show. People will remember catchy riff and songs, but they’ll really remember when you kick their ass with sonic force!’
