Ottawa, ON’s CHARIOTS OF THE GODS have posted a new trailer for their upcoming music video ‘Tusk’ in support of their new album ‘Ages Unsung’ due out on September 16th.

After a small hiatus and line up change, the quintet return in 2016 full force ready to follow up their 2013 debut album ‘Tides of War’ that was produced by music legend Glen Robinson (Queensryche, Gwar, Annihilator). Creating a kickstarter / pre-order campaign (thank you video), COTG surpassed their goal of $3,000 and recorded‘Ages Unsung’ at The Grid with legendary Montreal producer Chris Donaldson (Cryptopsy, The Agonist, Beyond Creation, Neuraxis).

Blitzing out of Canada’s capital with their punishing hard-rock rooted in heavy metal, Chariots of the Gods has-been on one sole assignment since 2007: shredding endlessly in a neighborhood near you.
The five-piece band gave birth to their first EP “Reverence” in 2010. Their first full length album, “Tides of War”, was produced by music legend Glen Robinson (Queensryche, Gwar, Annihilator) in 2013.
In 2014, the band went on their first international tour in Cuba and were the first Canadian metal band to do so. Chariots of the Gods are now set to storm the world with the musical assault that is their latest masterpiece: “Ages Unsung”.

Since 2013, Calgary Metalfest has raised $4000 for Make-A-Wish Southern Alberta! This year they plan to shatter that record and raise $10,000 to sponsor an ENTIRE wish for a child.
This auction is a live one that will occur between band sets during the fest at all venues. You must be there to be part of the auction.

On Saturday, September 17th, 2016 at Flames Central, Big Nate Productions Proudly Present: A Historic Night of Canadian Metal! International touring act ANNIHILATOR will perform a blistering 75 minute set, their first show in Western Canada since 1993. Also appearing will be the recently reformed and original lineup of speed/thrash metal pioneers EXCITER, their first Western Canadian performance since 1985. The show will be opened by thrash veterans RAZOR and SACRIFICE. These bands are all hot off the heels of multiple critically acclaimed festival performances in the US, Europe and South America. Calgary Metalfest, in its fifth annual year, started in 2012 by Nathan “Nate Reno” Renaud after his experiences working at Monsters of Rock in 2008 and as Stage and Production Manager of Noctis Metalfest from 2008 to 2013.
