Evilheart was formed in 1999 in Culiacan, Sinaloa, Mexico. On July 13, 2001 the band released its first demo “Summoned To War.” In 2003 after major lineup changes the band recorded its first album “Dark In Glory” which was released on May 3, 2004. In 2007 after some lineup changes the band recorded it second album “Storm Of Annihilation” which was mixed and mastered at Mana Studios in Florida, USA by Brian Elliott and the cover of the album was designed by Niklas Sundin. “The songs on this belligerent, 10 track, Mexican album are as exotic and unique as the land they come from. One gets the feeling the Aztecs would have appreciated this form of controlled chaos as they sacrificed their countless victims to the gods. Songs like ‘Supremacy And Holocaust’ and ‘Decimated Opposition’ transport you straight into a world of chaos, destruction and unbridled slaughter. You can almost taste blood of your enemies on your lips.” – 925 Rebellion
“What we have here is part of the top ten of modern death metal bands in Mexico. It’s highly recommended!!” – Zombie Ritual Zine
“Quinquaginta” is an album which resembles the golden years of South American Metal, but with a modern production and cover art, which is something very favorable for the band and for a style that is being forgotten across the world” – Criticas De Discos Zine
“In conclusion “Quinquaginta” is a very good album for those enthusiasts of Brutal Death Metal with touches of Black Metal, closer to Death Black in my opinion. It is well worth that you also check their previous album, so you can hear the evolution of the band. Support them, they have improved a lot.” – Rockomentarios Zine
“There is a lot of maturity in the song writing. The rhythm changes make this album a very dynamic release full of brutality based on awesome riffs and interesting blast beats.” – Sonus Infernalis
“But what makes of Evilheart a band with a special sound? Death metal has the peculiarity that it can be one of the most varied styles, in this case they know how to mix brutality, speed and technique, all is uniform time and into the right place” – Metal Archives
“If Austria is represented by Belphegor, and Poland is represented by Behemoth, well, here in Mexico we have Evilheart.” – Toxxik ‘zine
“Goddamn! How comes today so many superfluous bands got signed by the dozen and other excellent ones like this Evilheart (from Culiacán, Mexico) have to self release an album on their own?” – Nuclear Abomination Zine
“Evilheart have definitely arrived, and on the strength of this debut I’m certain we’ll see more of them. If this level of quality continues through their subsequent releases, it’s likely Evilheart will shortly join Cenotaph and Makina on the list of memorable Mexican extreme metal bands” – Metal-Rules

Vancouver, BC SCISSORTOOTH has teamed up with Noizz Webzine for the premiere of their latest track ‘Rotting Alive’ from their upcoming album‘Novagomorrah’ set to be unleashed on Galy Records on July 28th with pre-order available here. ‘Rotting Alive’ embodies Bay Area thrash metal from the 80’s, Seattle grunge from the 90’s, while adding raspy vocals over chugging riffs and questions the intentions of corporations and the constant push to consume.
“Rotting alive is about the constant bombardment and force feeding of commercials, products and being ‘consumers.” comments drummer Shawn Hoskins.

Biography
Scissortooth is a Canadian Thrash Metal band from Vancouver, B.C.. Formed in 2003 by Derek Lundblad (Vocalist/guitarist) and Shawn Hoskins (drummer), formerly from Mantra, moved to the west coast from Grande Prairie, A.B.. The current line-up comprises of founding members Lundblad, Hoskins, and Ken Firomski (bassist), Ken (Empyria and Cradle to Grave) who moved from Granisle B.C.. (Empyria and Cradle to Grave).
The band’s melodic hooks, varying tempos, and aggressive musicianship alongside of original writing approach and unique timbre has given their songs a different edge to most modern acts. Influenced by a wide spectrum of sounds of bands like Pantera, Metallica, Megadeth, Type O Negative to Soundgarden, Tool, Pink Floyd and Nine Inch Nails have lent to the songwriting and arrangements a flavor that fills a void in today’s often bland musical climate.
Their debut full length, Novagomorrah is scheduled to be release July 28, 2015.

Announce Debut Show Aug 21st in Colorado Springs @ Zodiac Lounge

Named after a gorgeous, but poisonous flower that blooms in winter, Manitou Springs, CO based HELLEBORUS is the new creation of brothers Jerred & Wyatt Houseman (both former members of Execration). Pushing their creative freedom to new levels, the psychedelic black metal project is Dionysian in nature and explores themes of sexual mysticism, Qabalah & the Esoteric.
“The Carnal Sabbath is the core sound of our album; a skeletal anthem blending all the imagination and magic that we put into this album. With this piece we wanted craft a seamless structure of all our musical influences as well as a perfect image of the concepts behind the music. This track symbolizes balance and power with its brooding rhythms and sinister melodies. There is a lot to take from this track and it’s an excellent conclusion to the album.” comments vocalist/ lyricist Wyatt Houseman.
‘The Carnal Sabbath’ is one of many songs the brothers plan to unleash on their soon to be finished debut full length, a release that combines black, death and doom metal with a vast ambiance. Venturing outside the conventional colors of traditional black metal, Jerred & Wyatt plan to deliver a new aura of sound where fans of The Devil’s Blood, Satyricon, Necorphobic, Belphegor, Blut Aus Nord are sure to connect with them.
In addition to their track premiere, the duo will be debut their live line up in Colorado Springs, CO on August 21st at Zodiac Lounge. Full show details can be found here.

“I will forever embrace quality underground Metal, especially underground Black Metal. Helleborus have without question, tapped into my Black Metal psyche with their new song. I honestly cannot stop listening to Coils.” – Metal Odyssey
“The chiming riffs and exotic lead guitar melodies in “Coils” do indeed generate an air of mysticism that surrounds the song, but the music also rocks very hard. The thundering drums and rumbling bass rhythms give the song a sense of tangible power, and the jagged, howling vocals cut like a serrated knife. It’s a bulldozer as well as a spellcaster…the song is also catchy as hell, and it should hold special appeal to fans of bands such as The Devil’s Blood, Satyricon, and Belphegor.” – No Clean Singing

About AGGRESSION:
Formed in 1985 under the original moniker “Asylum” to be later changed to AGGRESSION, the speed metallers unleashed their 1986 demo “Forgotten Skeleton”, (which saw an album release in 2005) and their debut full length “The Full Treatment” in 1987, which lead them to become one of the most popular bands to rise out of the Quebec and Canadian metal scene. With their manager at the time (Johnny Hart), AGGRESSION quickly became a household name with their concerts sold out everywhere and a fanbase that grew from hundreds to thousands in no time. Other bands such as Metallica, Slayer, Exodus, Hallow’s Eve, Destruction and others all wanted to see the beast for themselves during tour stops in Montreal. Playing numerous concerts with bands such as Anvil, Celtic Frost, Voïvod, Nuclear Assault, Agnostic Front, D.R.I., Possessed, Dark Angel, Crumbsuckers, Sacrifice and others, AGGRESSION decided to call it quits in 1989 due to external influences.
