For fans of Judas Priest, Triumph, Motorhead, W.A.S.P, April Wine, Tank

Out Now! Metal Assault Records – Canada’s Deadwolff Self-Titled Limited Edition Cassette

New Music Video “Double Up”

Out Now! Metal Assault Records release the limited edition cassette version (only 100 copies) of Toronto’s Deadwolff’s self-titled EP. You can also stream the EP digitally on the following platforms:
YouTube – https://youtu.be/rco8vukqo_A
Spotify

A blend of hard rock, punk, and metal, Deadwolff set themselves apart from other bands with their take on the New Wave of Heavy Rock and Roll. Recommended for fans of Judas Priest, Motorhead, and W.A.S.P, Deadwolff‘s is a revival of foot-tapping, beer-drinking, headbanging tunes, and more.

The band adds:

“Raw. Heavy. Unique. Fun. We write songs that we not only enjoy playing, but listening to as well, and those words would probably sum up the feelings we get when the songs are played. This EP is an excellent glimpse of what’s beginning. The new wave of heavy rock and roll…Deadwolff!”

The band’s music video and lead single “Double Up” was the second song written by Deadwolff and just so happens to be the second track on the five-track EP. Lyrically, it’s a song about gambling, the highs, the lows, and how those feel. Like the rest of the record, it’s a pumping tune that will incite you to crack a beer and get moving.

0 Canada’s Deadwolff To Release Self-Titled EP On Limited Edition Cassette via Metal Assault Records, New Music Video “Double Up”

NEWS RELEASE

Montreal, QC – April 29, 2021

For fans of Judas Priest, Triumph, Motorhead, W.A.S.P, April Wine, Tank

Canada’s Deadwolff To Release Self-Titled EP On Limited Edition Cassette via Metal Assault Records

New Music Video “Double Up”

Toronto’s Deadwolff is releasing a cassette edition of their latest self-titled EP on May 7th via Metal Assault Records. A blend of hard rock, punk, and metal, they set themselves apart from other bands with their take on the New Wave of Heavy Rock and Roll.

The single “Double Up” was the second song written by Deadwolff and just so happens to be the second track on the five-track EP. Lyrically, it’s a song about gambling, the highs, the lows, and how those feel. Like the rest of the record, it’s a pumping tune that will incite you to crack a beer and get moving. The band explains the release in detail:

“This EP is an excellent glimpse into what’s to come. Who Deadwolff is, and what we’re all about. With all the bands nowadays that sound like carbon copies of each other, we knew we wanted to sound different. Sound old, but different. From our logo (the triwolff), to our tunes; from the mustaches and home done haircuts, we know that Deadwolff is just what’s needed nowadays. We’re coming out swinging. The new wave of heavy rock and roll…Deadwolff”

Memorable and fun, the video was shot in the band’s friend’s garage. It was a full day spent trying to figure out three scenes and then huddled around the propane heater because half of the insulation is missing from the roof.

A revival of some foot-tapping, beer-drinking, headbanging tunes. The Deadwolff EP is all of that and more, and it’s just the beginning. They are recommended for fans of Judas Priest, Motorhead, and W.A.S.P.

NEWS RELEASE

Montreal, QC – April 10, 2020

For fans of Haunt, Ghost, Dokken, Triumph, Blue Oyster Cult

Out Now! Vancouver Heavy Metal SPELL’s New Album “Opulent Decay” via Bad Omen Records

New Music Video ‘Dawn Wanderer’

Hailing from Vancouver, British Columbia, SPELL‘s new LP “Opulent Decay” is now available as of April 10, 2020 via Bad Omen Records. With the full length’s release, they are also sharing the new video ‘Dawn Wanderer’.

Watch HERE.

Album Stream Bandcamp and Spotify.

Shrouding their listeners in hypnotizing heavy metal, the ten-track album is a menagerie of atmosphere, heaviness and delicately woven melodies. This will be the third album from the group following “Full Moon Sessions” (2014) and “For None And All” (2017). Reflecting on the progression through the albums, bassist/vocalist Cam Mesmer comments:

“Many bands find their third album the most difficult because they’re trying to recreate what they’ve already done; for us, it gets easier and better every time. As ideas emerged during the writing process, we nurtured them and gave them all the time and care they needed to flourish and bloom.”

As a precursor to the album release, SPELL has already released a video for the first track from “Opulent Decay” entitled ‘Psychic Death’. According to Mesmer, all the tracks on the album “deal with the contrast between opulence and austerity, and the decay that results from imbalance. Our drive to avoid suffering is strong, but it can be overcome by the love for another and the desire to put them before yourself. ‘Opulent Decay’ examines this balance and the dangers that await on either side of the pendulum.”

Once again creating a powerful and enchanting sonic experience, SPELL invites you to intertwine yourself with romanticism and heavy metal with “Opulent Decay” today.

The album is available for stream, download and physical format at the following link HERE.

About:

Spell have already proven themselves mighty chroniclers of the more supernatural quarters of the heavy music sphere. Recorded at Little Red Sounds studio in New Westminster, B.C., ‘Opulent Decay’ is an emotionally charged psychic travelogue wreathed in mysticism. The album embraces harmonic guitar heraldry while also showcasing a band as adept at essaying a hymnal acapella piece like the beguiling “Ataraxia” as they are the wistful and melancholic “Dawn Wanderer”, the pastoral-tinged and progressively slanted “Primrose Path” or the catchy and barnstorming title-track.

Spell’s debut, 2014’s ‘Full Moon Sessions’, and 2017’s critically-celebrated LP, ‘For None And All’, are proof positive of an outfit — completed by drummer and co-vocalist Al Lester and guitarist Graham McVie – whose grasp of diverting dynamics matched their infectious songcraft. However, these were apparently mere preludes to ‘Opulent Decay’, the band’s third and finest record to date.

“If this band was a van, they would be the raddest, most pimped out airbrushed 70’s van with plush interior and a BOOMING system. SPELL is a perfect name for them, because their songs are jamming heavy metal magic.” – Cvlt Nation

“Vancouver power trio SPELL make what they call “hypnotizing heavy metal,” a captivating mix of Rush- and Blue Öyster Cult–hailing classic rock, lyrics inspired by Romantic poets like Keats, Shelley and Coleridge, and more modern elements that evoke everyone from Opeth to Ghost.” – Revolver Mag
