w/ OCEANO, THE CONVALESCENCE, VISCERAL DISGORGE, ROSE FUNERAL, CASKET ROBBERY and more!

TDF 2024 – Spotify Playlist – https://sptfy.com/QkCB

A destructive vortex of extreme metal returns to Toledo, OH this coming June 8th, with TOLEDO DEATH FEST announcing its 2024 lineup featuring OCEANO, THE CONVALESCENCE, VISCERAL DISGORGE, ROSE FUNERAL, CASKET ROBBERY, and more!

Hosted at Mainstreet Bar & Grill (141 Main St.), the all-ages event will be hosted with two stages of non-stop brutality from some of the midwest’s most gut-punching visceral spitting metal to plow into Toledo.

Highlights of the confirmed bands include headliners Oceano with their blast beats, sonic double bass, slow heavy breakdowns, low death metal growls, and shrieking metalcore vocals ready to annihilate the pit with their discography since 2009. The Convalescence is one of the USA’s unstoppable tour de forces, pillaging all across the globe to support their latest album “Harvesters Of Flesh And Bone”. Baltimore’s brutal death metal tyrants Visceral Disgorge bring their slamming riffs, guttural growls, and an onslaught of blast beats to savage the pit. Hailing from Cincinnati, OH, Rose Funeral brings its haunting deathcore melodies, insane blasts, and groove to tremble festival goers. Emerging from the darkest and most desolate areas of the Midwest, Casket Robbery creates its signature style of death metal by infusing horror and occult themes. Their trademark huge riffs and unstoppable grooves create the unrelenting, brutally catchy, and eerie sound that only Casket Robbery is known for.

Since its inception in 2009 by Keith Wampler, the frontman of The Convalescence and owner of The Legend Agency, the festival has showcased the talents of some of the American Midwest’s best up-and-coming metal bands. Past editions have seen past support from well-known artists such as Jungle Rot, Malevolent Creation, Filth, Signs of The Swarm and The Breathing Process among many more. The festival has been an extreme metal pilgrimage for fans living in the surrounding states of Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, and West Virginia.

About: Toledo Deathfest was originally created in 2009 as a way to bring bands in Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan together once a year and showcase their music to the local scene. It has continued as an annual festival featuring Local, Regional, and Underground Touring artists. In 2021 Festival Promoter Keith Wampler (The Legend Agency/The Convalescence) decided to expand the festival to multiple stages and to feature larger artists as well as a variety of underground acts with plans to grow the festival even more each year with Jungle Rot headlining 2021, Malevolent Creation headlining 2022, Signs of the Swarm headlining 2023 and now Oceano headlining 2024.

Make Your Spotify Listening Heavier w/ LOUD AS HELL 2023 Lineup Playlist

w/ JUNGLE ROT, NARCOTIC WASTELAND, INCITE, NECRONOMICON, THE CONVALESCENCE, ARRIVAL OF AUTUMN and more!

– Camping & Extreme Music In Alberta’s Badlands –

August 4th – 6th, 2023

Alberta, Canada’s LOUD AS HELL has a stacked lineup for its 2023 edition and their festival Spotify playlist will give your eardrums a nice blast of heavy to get you ready for the pit with JUNGLE ROT, NARCOTIC WASTELAND, INCITE, NECRONOMICON, THE CONVALESCENCE, ARRIVAL OF AUTUMN and lots more (full lineup listed below).

Add this playlist to your regular listening now at the following link: https://spoti.fi/3LjJ461

Then make your way to Drumheller, AB from August 4th to 6th at the Dinosaur Downs Stampede Grounds!

This year’s Loud As Hell sees the return of American and Mexican bands joining the lineup after lifted Covid restrictions along with artists from across Canada performing for the three-day open-air event.

Highlights for this year’s lineup witness the return of groovy death metal Americans JUNGLE ROT to Canadian soil to headline the closing night on August 6th in support of their latest album “A Call to Arms” released last year on Unique Leader Records.

Toledo, OH’s THE CONVALESCENCE is one of the USA’s unstoppable tour de force, touring Europe in 2022 with Chelsea Grin, and Carnifex plus an upcoming tour in Japan in 2023 with Exhumed and Defiled along with their latest single “No Survivors” ft. Scott Ian Lewis of Carnifex has fans demanding more and more.

North Carolina’s Narcotic Wasteland’s (founded by ex-Nile guitarist Dallas Toler-Wade) festival appearance comes as part of the band’s first cross-Canada tour as they will be supporting their forthcoming third studio album in 2023 on Mega Force Records.

Phoenix, AZ’s INCITE, now close to 20 years into a career where everything was earned and nothing was taken for granted, the band bridges the gap between multiple crowds across various metal sub-genres. As renegade disciples of trailblazing architects like Pantera, Slayer, Sepultura, and Machine Head, INCITE raise the torch for trend-killing and hipster-smashing metal. The band’s fifth album, Built to Destroy released in 2019 (Minus Head Records), is a visceral, urgent, voracious distillation of modern metal, with reverence for the past, produced by Steve Evetts (The Dillinger Escape Plan, Suicide Silence) and mastered by Zeuss (Rob Zombie, Hatebreed).

One of Canada’s longest-running blackened death metal bands hailing from Montreal, Quebec, NECRONOMICON‘s career spans over 30 years since it was first formed in 1988 by founding guitarist and singer Rob “The Witch” in the deep, northern part of Quebec’s Fjord of Saguenay. Since then, the band has carefully released each full-length without haste, allowing them to perfect every nuance before unleashing their sonic assaults upon the masses.

Canadian metalcore titans, ARRIVAL OF AUTUMN, hailing from Grande Prairie, AB, are LOUD AS HELL alumni and return to co-headline opening night on August 4th in support of their new album “Kingdom Undone” being released on Nuclear Blast this coming May.

Weekend Passes (including camping) are available at https://www.loudashell.ca/tickets

All online purchased tickets will be mailed out.

About:

LOUD AS HELL has hosted hundreds of Canadian and international bands annually since 2012 with exception of 2020 due to the Covid pandemic. During its decade of showcasing Canadian and international bands, the festival has grown into a pilgrimage for metalheads from across the country. Past years have hosted well-known bands such as Into Eternity, Goatwhore, Battlecross, Fit for An Autopsy, Anciients, Archspire, Unleash The Archers, Striker, KEN mode, Obey The Brave, Protest the Hero, AngelMaker, Divinity, Neck of The Woods, Endast among many more.

LOUD AS HELL 2023 will be celebrating its eleventh festival event presented by Loud As Hell Productions, Jurassic Ink Custom Tattoo, Prairie Fire Events, and Asher Media Relations. LAH always works its hardest to deliver the best lineup in the West ready to melt your face off. Featuring bands from across Canada and beyond, you won’t want to miss any of it. And don’t forget about their freak shows, burlesque dancers, clinics, vendors, and dinosaurs!

The sold-out 2022 lineup was scaled down to only Canadian bands due to international artists being unable to perform in the country because of border restrictions and guidelines stated by the federal government for Covid precautions.

What the press is saying:
“Western Canada’s loudest heavy metal festival brings fans to town more known for dinos than drum solos.” – CBC Calgary

“Loud as Hell – one of Canada’s top underground metal festivals – was a metal family reunion. If you walked around the grounds, where tents covered the landscape like flowers, you would experience concert goers laughing, hugging and just enjoying the moment. The music played non-stop and the people were some of the best you’ll meet. What else do you need? If you’re a metalhead fan, mark it down for next year because this is a concert you don’t want to miss.” – Blackfalds Life

“Headbanger alert: Loud As Hell festival to ramp up the volume” – Calgary Herald

“Nevermind the bug spray and sun tan lotion, as August approaches Drumheller residents should stock up on earplugs.” – Calgary Herald

“Loud As Hell returns to the southern Alberta city for its seventh year and as its name implies, will rock the city to its core.” – Calgary Herald

“Loud as Hell has celebrated eight years in the Badlands to date, with acts from all over the world-shattering the peace and quiet of the hills in a camping and music extravaganza.” – Hanna Herald

“Drumheller with its dinosaur bones is the site of the annual Loud as Hell heavy metal festival Friday through Sunday. Dozens of the heaviest bands known to Man will be taking the stage, many of them Canadian” – Gig City

LOUD AS HELL Reveals 2023 Lineup w/ JUNGLE ROT, NARCOTIC WASTELAND, INCITE, NECRONOMICON, THE CONVALESCENCE, ARRIVAL OF AUTUMN and more!

– Camping & Extreme Music In Alberta’s Badlands –

August 4th – 6th, 2023

Alberta, Canada’s LOUD AS HELL is ready to unveil its most stacked lineup to date with its 2023 edition featuring JUNGLE ROT, NARCOTIC WASTELAND, INCITE, NECRONOMICON, THE CONVALESCENCE, ARRIVAL OF AUTUMN and lots more (full lineup listed below).

Being held from August 4th to 6th at the Dinosaur Downs Stampede Grounds in Drumheller, AB, this year’s festivities see the return of American and Mexican bands joining the lineup along with artists from across Canada performing for the three-day open-air event.

Scott Ian Lewis of Carnifex that has fans demanding more and more.

NEWS RELEASE

Montreal, QC – February 23, 2023

TOLEDO DEATHFEST Announces 2023 Lineup w/ OCEANO, THE CONVALESCENCE, VCTMS, INCITE And More!

TOLEDO DEATH FEST is ready to stir up the most extreme mosh pit to ever tornado Ohio and its surrounding states. This year’s event is being hosted on June 3rd in Toledo, OH at Mainstreet Bar and will feature headliners, OCEANO alongside The Convalescence, VCTMS, Incite, and many more (full lineup below).

Since its inception in 2009 by Keith Wampler, the frontman of The Convalescence and owner of The Legend Agency, the festival has showcased the talents of some of the American Midwest’s best up-and-coming metal bands. Past editions have seen past support from well-known artists such as Jungle Rot, Malevolent Creation, The Breathing Process, and Casket Robbery among many more. The festival has been an extreme metal pilgrimage for fans living in the surrounding states of Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, and West Virginia.

“I am very happy to be able to bring Toledo Deathfest back in 2023 with one of the most insane lineups we’ve ever had. This festival has come from being local bands at small venues to a two-stage festival featuring bands from around the country thanks to the incredible support of everyone who attends each year. Thank you to everyone who has supported Toledo Deathfest and I look forward to seeing everyone again on June 3rd!” adds festival organizer Keith Wampler.

Tickets are available at https://theconvalescence.bigcartel.com/ (General Admission, VIP Packages)

Highlights of the confirmed bands include headliners Oceano with their blast beats, sonic double bass, slow heavy breakdowns, low death metal growls, and shrieking metalcore vocals ready to annihilate the pit with their discography since 2009. The Convalescence is one of the USA’s unstoppable tour de force, touring Europe in 2022 with Chelsea Grin, and Carnifex plus an upcoming tour in Japan in 2023 with Exhumed and Defiled along with their latest single “No Survivors” ft. Scott Ian Lewis of Carnifex, that has fans demanding more and more. A versatile metalcore group based out of Illinois, VCTMS employs an ambitious blend of punishing breakdowns, catchy melodies, and crushing riffs that draw from post-hardcore, hip-hop, industrial and alternative metal. They have released three full-length albums to date. Their third album Vol. III Halfway Happy was released on August 31, 2018, and reached #25 on the Billboard Heatseekers Chart during its first week of release. Incite is as much a part of the fabric of the style championed by Lamb Of God as the surge of newer bands like Power Trip.

North Carolina, USA groove metal warriors WoR are sharing their next video from rehearsals with new drummer Dylan Jenkins.

With upcoming performances at Blue Ridge Rock Festival on September 11th in Danville, Virginia plus tour dates in October with Battlecross and The Convalescence, the band entered a hunting cabin in the middle of the Appalachian Mountains in Asheville, NC to rehearse their set with Jenkins who has put his own spin on some of the older material and injected it with new life.

The band comments:

“During the pandemic, we spent a lot of time behind closed doors working on refining our craft. We worked on old music and wrote a bunch of new music. We decided to film one of these sessions, isolated in a hunting cabin in the Appalachian Mountains, away from the chaos of everyday life. Just the 5 of us jamming”.

Perfectly titled “The Asheville Sessions”, WoR‘s second video showcases the refreshed shredding ripper “Caged”, which can be viewed at https://youtu.be/qECYHN5ve0Q

“Caged was one of our stronger singles from the album “Prisoners” and in the Asheville sessions we revamped it even more. Always a powerful track live, it was a cool experience to perform in it such a unique musical setting.” adds the band.

Their first video “Hiraeth” from a series of more to be revealed can also be viewed at https://youtu.be/J-NRDd81lqo

Throwing in elements of thrash, metalcore, and even hardcore punk, everyone in WoR has taken a different musical path and the variety of influences shows through in the unique and original sound on their debut release “Prisoners”, which is an extremely energetic journey from start to finish. Groovy, raw, and old school, WoR is suitable for all fans of metal especially those with an interest in Machine Head, Sepultura, and Gojira.

“Prisoners” (released Aug 7, 2020) is available on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play.
