Known for their discography of both French and English releases, “La Bestia” is their first full length that is completely in Spanish. You may be asking why a Spanish album? Today, the band shares their new lyric video for the album’s title track via its premiere on Metal-Rules HERE.

The band reveals the story behind the track:

“This song is about a real story that happened here in Quebec. A father lost his mind over jealousy and killed his two kids for revenge. A very very sad story and still the father says he is not criminally responsible has he declared not remembering anything of it. He became the beast while doing this irreversible act of violence. The whole story had quite an impact on the population who were outraged with the verdict.”

The tracks on “La Bestia” were produced mainly by guitarist Jef Fortin as well as Colin Richardson who also produced 1999’s ‘Instinct’ and Jean-Francois Dagenais (Kataklysm) who produced 2006’s ‘Chapter Chaos Begins’. The album also features the bilingual song “Violencia Versus Violence” with the participation of Carlos Maldos of Lethal Creation (MX) and Arno Dhenain Le Bourhis of Black Bomb A (FR) along with a second bilingual track “Tierra” with Marco Calliari singing in Italian.

About:

Anonymus is a Canadian thrash metal band that explodes on stage with each presence, that pulls you in with its passion and that yells at you with corrosive and violent texts that will not leave anyone indifferent.

Since their first release in 1994, Anonymus has made its mark on the Quebec music scene. From the beginning, the group has been well received while demonstrating its brutal sound and technique that has continually evolved over the years. Oscar Souto (vocals, bass) Daniel Souto (guitar, vocals) Carlos Araya (drums), Jef Fortin (guitar since 2006) and Marco Calliari (vocals, guitar from 1994 to 2006) have since widely traveled the roads of their country, participated in the deprivation of Mononc’Serge and continue today to ignite stages everywhere they go. These veterans of the metal scene continue to proudly carry the torch after 20 years of chaos and barbaric music.

Forever hungry for metal, everyone in Anonymus brings ideas to the table. Sometimes it is a whole song or just the beginnings of one, yet together the band works to create a full thrashy anthem from the pieces, working on it until it is complete. The music always comes first, and when the ambiance is formulated, the lyrics, which come from a personal place and from current events, can be added.

Unstoppable and indestructible, inspired by bands like Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, and Anthrax; Anonymus is nothing short of the powerful, aggressive and technical thrash metal that they have been refining for decades exemplified on their impressive discography of both French and English releases, which includes: “Ni vu, ni connu” (1994); Stress (1996); Instinct (1999); Daemonium (2002); Academie du Massacre (2003); Chapter Chaos Begins (2006); Musique Barbare (2008); État Brute (2011); Envers et contre tous (2015); P.O.M.M.E (2017); Sacrifices (2019); and their first-ever Spanish album La Bestia (2020) due out June 12 via label Bam&co Heavy.

Today, Anonymus does not need a presentation. This institution of the Quebec metal industry has been offering for twenty-six years, a passion for dark notes and unrivaled power. The offer is still valid. With more than 1500 career shows under their belt, Anonymus is completely in their element when performing in front of fans, they offer only their absolute best ensuring the crowd is moving. Having shared the stage with metal great such as Anthrax, Cannibal Corpse, and Kataklysm at festivals such as Heavy Montreal, Montebello, and through international tours, they are no strangers to a wild show.

ANONYMUS FOLLOWS ITS PATH, AGAINST ALL ODDS!

Anonymus explains their thoughts on the release:

“We always try to surpass ourselves as musicians and we always try to write the best songs we can. It’s important to be loyal to what we do but we listen to the new bands and how the metal scene evolves. I think over the years we can feel an evolution in the band’s sound.”

Today, the band unveils their music video for their second single“Terremoto” produced by Kataklysm‘s Jef Dagenais.

The band comments about the track:

“This one is a comparison between an earthquake and a man who deals with his problems like a shaking bull! The lyrics came with the title so it started from there. Sometimes a discussion doesn’t bring the solution, so you have to shake things up. Nothing more to say!”

Leading up to the release of their new album “La Bestia” on June 12th via label Bam&co Heavy, Canadian thrash metal maniacs Anonymus is sharing the full length’s lead first single “Sobrevivir”.

This is the 12th album from the Montreal band and it’s a little different from the rest of their French and English discography, being that it is the first full length that will be completely in Spanish.

The song comes at an excellent time as it talks about survival in uncertain times full of desperation. The catchy tune is heavy and melodic, with refined techniques and vocal melodies. This is thrash metal at its best. A complete Spanish metal thrashing album that is a compilation of songs written over the years that describes the essence of the band at the peak of what they have to offer. For more detail on “Sobrevivir” the band says:

“This is simply about everyday life. Nothing is easy in the modern world. Each one of us has to work very hard to get where we want to be. It’s a constant fight. As simple as that. We can easily apply this song to our world’s survival in many ways”.

With over 2.5 million streams on Spotify, Anonymus is showing no signs of slowing down. Fans of thrash metal standbys such as Slayer and Testament will no doubt be intrigued by this new offering.

NEWS RELEASE

Montreal, QC – April 27, 2020

For fans of Celtic Frost, Slayer, Voivod, Death, Possessed

Cave Metal CHAKA Shares New Video ‘Flak’ Off “Neanderthal Tales” EP

Primal, thrashy cave metal CHAKA, a side-project from Darkside NYC bassist Mark Sokoll, is sharing with fans the new music video for ‘Flak’ in support of the EP “Neanderthal Tales”, a primal barrage of prehistoric metal power released this past December.

The video for ‘Flak’, is the band clad in surplus gear with patriotic face paint.

Sokoll adds:

“An uptempo song about Kamikaze attacks during WW2. I tried to evoke the horror of being attacked by unconventional suicide planes.”

The video for ‘Flak’ can be seen on YouTube HERE.

Expecting fans to receive the new offering “Neanderthal Tales” with enthusiasm, Sokoll hopes listeners will enjoy the heaviness of the music and the thought-provoking lyrics. Focused on science topics, such as the theory of evolution and mankind’s place in the universe; Sokoll likes to write about subjects that have not yet been explored. Carrying forward with an abundance of motivation, Sokoll quotes that “fans can expect a lot more productivity”.

A live show from CHAKA includes a heavily dressed stage including a monolith and artificial cairns as the backdrop for a very visceral and primal Heavy Metal experience.

“Neanderthal Tales” was released in December 2019 and is suitable for fans of Celtic Frost, Venom, and Motorhead.

About:

Chaka is a side-project from Darkside NYC’s bassist, Mark Sokoll. Their sound is in the vein of old Celtic Frost, Venom, Cro-Mags, and Black Sabbath. Mark has been playing the bass guitar since 1986 which is the same year he joined Terminal Confusion (NYHC). After playing bass guitar and singing background vocals for numerous other Punk and Metal bands in the NYC scene, (Hypoxia, Leeway, The Downlow NYHC, F*Bomb, etc.) Mark released his first solo EP in December of 2019 titled “Neanderthal Tales”.

Chaka’s music is described as “Cro-Magnon Cave Metal mixed with hardcore Punk Rock elements.” This EP features tales of Kamikaze pilot attacks, a history of weapons from the Dawn of Man until modernity, embracing evolution, and finally: hemispheres in conflict.

InEffect Hardcore magazine described the EP, in part, as: “Perhaps what Metalheads in leather vests marching down the street with torches would use as their theme songs” and “Gives off a Carnivore vibe with that heavy, heavy bass sound”.

The Neanderthal Tales EP is a return to brutal Heavy Metal with a primal barrage of prehistoric power. Let the regression begin!

CAVE METAL!  Mark Sokoll… bassist of Darkside NYC (as well as the highly-underrated Terminal Confusion from way back in the day) is the main brain behind this four-song, ten minute debut which has its share of backstories… “Flak” leads off (check out the video) with a fuzzy bass and some straight outta da cave styled vocals. With so many styles of metal out there to be had cave metal is not that bad of a self-description to be honest with you. What I like about “Neanderthal Tales”is that these songs mix shit up… there is no singular pattern that they stick to. Just for that this EP gets some bonus points.” – In Effect Hardcore Magazine

NEWS RELEASE

Montreal, QC – March 5, 2020

For fans of Megadeth, Iron Maiden, Manowar, Slayer

AxMinister Unleash Music Video ‘The Succubus and The Crucible of Sin’

EP “The Crucible of Sin” Out Now!

Metal warriors on a holy quest, Toronto’s AxMinister‘s have unleashed their latest music video to offer to the heavy metal gods ‘The Succubus and The Crucible of Sin’.

Watch it HERE.

Drummer Bas Majzoub (aka Bas von Bismark) adds:

“Starting with a concept, this two-plus year journey starts reaching an exciting climax in this fourth episode. Seeking revenge, our hero battles his nemesis in a brutal no holds barred sword fight, while his captive wife fights for her life against a beast of a man. The product of a lot of hard work and passion, the ‘Crucible of Sin’ video series is reaching the apex. The response so far has been humbling, and hope our fans, and those new to the band, enjoy episode iv, ‘The Succubus and The Crucible of Sin’, a song dealing with our moral evolution as a species, and general moral relativism.”

The video is 4th episode in the band’s planned 5 part series to give fans a visual guide to tell the story of their latest EP “The Crucible of Sin”. The trio has previously released videos  ‘Prey‘ (Eps. 1), ‘Salvation‘ (Eps. 2) and ‘The Trials of Hercules‘ (Eps. 3). All 5 episodes/music videos in the series were produced and directed by drummer Bas Majzoub (aka Bas von Bismark).

“The Crucible of Sin” is available for digital download and stream on Bandcamp, iTunes and Spotify.

The band adds:

“Our EP “The Crucible of Sin” sports a sense of humour. It tries to tell a… at times, nihilistic, a story about love, lust, oppression, and redemption. Following every recording and show, we try to reflect on our own mistakes and attempt to improve. We grew to understand our 90s thrash/traditional style of songwriting and compose accordingly. This EP has that ‘90’s warm thrash sound akin to Megadeth’s Youthanasia album. We hope old and new audiences join us on a journey that is at times fictional, visual and imaginative, while other times introspective and contemplative. We like you to dance, headbang, and mosh to it.”

Track Listing:
1. Prey (4:15)
2. Salvation (4:16)
3. The Trials of Hercules (4:06)
4. The Succubus and the Crucible of Sin (5:10)
5. Sanctus Equitis Mortis (5:06)

“From the drop of the first note, AxMinister pull their ax from stone, brandishing it mightily and powerfully as they dish out shredding sharpened riff after sharpened riff. Thrown in to the mix are face melting solos as well as ever-present charging drumming as well as very solid very infectious vocals. Each of the five tracks present within this release are woven together well to provide you with a cohesive and well rounded sound that you will have a hard time getting out of your head. With The Crucible Of Sin, AxMinister gift you with five highly addictive and highly entertaining tracks that you keep coming back to.” – Cadaver Garden

“The Crucible of Sin is a great thrash/traditional metal album, showing strong influences from Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Slayer and Metallica to full effect.” – Hellbound

“an exciting piece of Thrash Metal. It has a unique touch to it that allows the EP to be memorable, whilst the guitars make it very enjoyable.” – Noizze UK

“The stair-step cultural guitar to snare combinations for “The Trials of Hercules” brings out the Manowar fan in us all – while the speedy double kick locomotive aspects to closer “Sanctus Equitus Mortis” surely keep the ears pinned for a closer…It’s clear that you have a solid set of musicians and keen songwriting abilities – so if you want something a bit more dramatic and adventurous in your thrash airings, AxMinister could be that difference maker for you.” – Dead Rhetoric

“”The Crucible of Sin” is a lyrically-strong (hard & heavy) power metal recording with strong lead vocals, great guitar solos, a slick rhythm section, and inspired songs that will make you want to wave the banner of true heavy metal for all to see!! This is honest to goodness heavy metal that has been made possible thanks to hard work & dedication of true heavy metal maniacs.” – Heavy Metal Time Machine

What the press is saying:
“I can highly recommend this to anyone who yearns for that ‘old school’ vibe that seems to be so highly sought after. Krvsade nail what it takes to be an old school blackened thrash act in the 21st century by sticking true to tried and tested traits, but by expanding their sound into more sludgy territory at the same time…damn good, solid, thrashing fun time.” – The Metal Observer

“The opening title track is a fine example of what the Krvsade are about, old school Sepultura, Death or even Morbid Angel style guitar work and recording esthetics, pulverising kit work from Dennis and demonic vocals from Evans. You can just picture Evans eyes lit up electric blue as he spits fire from his mouth and shoots lighting bolts from his palms.” – Metal Noise

“Krvsade stand poised to seize the rusty metal crown of the Queen City, as there is a conscious malignancy lurking in the depths of their songwriting, waiting to rear its hideous head.” – Exclaim

“full of bangers!” – Ghost Cult Magazine

“Listen to it until your ears bleed, and then listen to it again.” – ROXX100.com

“A giant dose of talent in this Ep; a sinister environment enhanced by a well balanced rhythm section, a great structure and an inspired solo in JUDGEMENT DAY. KEEP IN THE CHURCH is more squared with deep vocals and great changes of time. Not least next THE KEY AND THE GATE. A band to keep an eye on! Interesting!” – Hardrockheavymetal

“Made up of only 3 songs, the EP starts off with a bang, combining thrash and death metal in a powerful title track that can be easily pictured as the soundtrack for a savage moshpit.” – Metal Blast

“Krvsade from North Carolina, USA, drop this brutal 3 x track EP and my lord does it pack a punch, and for £2.97 from Amazon, it’s worth every penny… very imaginative riffing going on and plenty to remember.” 5/5 – PlanetMosh

“Krvsade slam out some awesome old school death/thrash metal on their new EP Judgment Day. These three songs are what just what the metal doctor ordered full of anger, aggression and powerful lyrics. Great evil vocals that slash through awesome guitar riffs that are both fast and heavy.” – The Dirty Room

“If you like it heavy and dark, I believe you will like this one. This slashin’ thrashin’ journey is built on a foundation of some very powerful drum work with amazing guitar accents sprinkled throughout. The vocals are what nightmares are made of, and I mean that in a complimentary manner… I strongly recommend checking out this Death/Thrash Metal combo, it works for me.” – Boston Rock Radio

“For my money, thrash with a heavy dose of death metal has always been more fertile ground for bands looking to make their mark after the genre’s 80s heyday. Charlotte’s Krvsade is clearly of the same opinion. Their second EP, Judgement [sic] Day is a promising, if overly brief, show of force from a band still finding their footing in today’s metal scene.” – Toilet ov Hell

“Krvsade is firing on all cylinders and boasting some changes, they really have developed an impressive sound.” – Crannk

Charlotte’s Krvsade will be releasing their new EP “Judgement Day” this Friday, January 31, 2020. Before it officially drops, the band has teamed up with GhostCultMag for the EP’s exclusive full stream HERE.

Krvsade has come a long way from their 2017 debut EP “Militum Infernum” and they are excited to show off this stark contrast to the previous material to fans. Comparing the new release to their previous one, the band states:

“This EP is definitely a change compared to ‘Militum Infernum’. Whereas Militum was more raw and pure in your face, ‘Judgement Day’ has some twists and turns. The playing is better and I think fans will appreciate a band that’s firing on all cylinders and not holding anything back. It’s a good example of the rebirth of this band. Our sound evolving from the rawness it previously was. More mature and progressive. It’s a fun ride from start to finish.” says vocalist/guitarist Andre Evans.

New, refreshed and boasting some line-up changes, Krvsade is here to stay. “Judgement Day” is coming and it’s going to be an exciting, aggressive ride for everyone. The EP as a whole is just an appetizer for the main course which is to come.

Fans of Slayer, old school Sepultura, Kreator, and Morbid Angel should keep an eye on these guys.

About:

Released from the depths in 2015, Krvsade is a mind-shattering thrash assault destined to conquer stages across the nation and the world. A new blend of extreme metal from Charlotte, USA, Krvsade incorporates death and black metal into the thrash equation, resulting in an original, brutal sound.

The four members of Krvsade work together to refine each melodic track, starting with Andre Evans (guitar/vocals) defining the skeleton of the song with riff ideas and the occasional chorus. The framework is sent to Keegan Dennis (drums) to flesh out a solid foundation and once that is done, it passes to Arthur Reid (guitar) and Jeb Laird (bass) for final attunement. Lyrical themes encompass anything from the end of days to religion and real-life events.

Having shared the stage with the likes of Inquisition, Nervosa, and Uada, Krvsade is first and foremost a live band. With seasoned musicians comprising the line-up, a live gig from Krvsade is intense and interactive. Raw and in the moment, it’s not a numb, over choreographed school play. This is real, in your face, fast and angry metal; a full set of four dudes losing their minds. The way it should be.

Krvsade released their debut offering ‘Militum Infernum’ in 2017, featuring the first three songs they ever wrote as a band. Growth and evolution are apparent in the newest recording, ‘Judgment Day’ EP arriving in January 2020. According to the band, this latest 3 track record is only an appetizer for the full course that is coming soon.

Charlotte’s Krvsade is ready to unleash their new EP “Judgement Day” on January 31, 2020 with the single ‘Keep It In The Church’ in anticipation of the next installment of the North Carolina’s thrash metal fury.

They have come along way from their 2017 debut EP “Militum Infernum” and Krvsade is excited to show off this stark contrast to the previous material to fans. Comparing the new release to their previous one, the band states:

“This EP is definitely a change compared to ‘Militum Infernum’. Whereas Militum was more raw and pure in your face, ‘Judgement Day’ has some twists and turns. The playing is better and I think fans will appreciate a band that’s firing on all cylinders and not holding anything back.”

New, refreshed and boasting some line-up changes, Krvsade is here to stay. “Judgement Day” is coming and it’s going to be an exciting, aggressive ride for everyone. The single ‘Keep It In The Church’ marks the start of a new era for the group and the EP as a whole is just an appetizer for the main course which is to come. When asked about the new single, Krvsade responds:

“This song is calling out people that use religion as an excuse to treat others poorly. Living in the south you see a lot of people think they have a better opinion or know your life and get to give you advice because of that. Fast and thrashing with a catchy chorus the song has a lot to say and hopefully, anyone going through similar troubles knows they aren’t alone.”

NEWS RELEASE

Montreal, QC – September 13, 2019

For fans of Metallica, Slayer, Testament and Anthrax

Rockshots Records: ENEMYNSIDE Music Video ‘Frozen Prison Cell’; New Album “Chaos Machine” Out Oct 25th

L-R – Matteo Bellezza (guitars), Fabio Migliori (drums), Andrea Pistone (bass), Francesco Cremisini (vocals/guitars)

Italian thrashers ENEMYNSIDE have released their new music video ‘Frozen Prison Cell’, the first single off their forthcoming album “Chaos Machine” due out October 25th via Rockshots Records.

“This track is about Soviet gulags, something I’ve been fascinated by reading books about labour camps in the Soviet Union. Francesco wrote the music and chose this lyrics, which fits perfectly with the atmosphere of the song. In the video you can see a prisoner trying to escape from the labor camp, but the prison he gets himself into is the boundless frozen land of Siberia.” says guitarist Matteo Bellezza.

Music Video – ‘Frozen Prison Cell’ here.

Active since 1994 as Scapegoat, in 1999 the band changed its name to ENEMYNSIDE. During their career, the band have toured Italy and Europe sharing the stage with bands such as Destruction, Dismember, Blaze Bayley, Paul Di Anno, Necrodeath, Extrema, Kiko Loureiro, Flotsam And Jetsam and many more.

The band’s anticipated 2019 full length album “Chaos Machine” features ten aggressive and relentless thrash tracks focusing on the sentiment of being trapped (both physically and metaphorically) by the world’s social injustices, control systems such as religious institutions and political authorities, totalitarianism and dictatorships.

The album follows the band’s catalog of EPs and albums “Dead Nation Army” (2016), “Whatever Comes” (2012) (Mighty Music/Target Distribution), “In The Middle of Nowhere” first released in 2007 on Sleazy Rider Records and re-released in 2008 through Hatestone Records/New Model and “Let The Madness Begin…” (2003) (Temple Of Noise/Frontiers Records).

“Chaos Machine” Album Pre-Order via Rockshots Records here.
