Calgary’s Blues Rockman Matt Blais Announces Showcase At LA MUSEXPO April 8th; New Music Video ‘Goodbye Sunshine’

Calgary, AB’s favourite rock/ blues musician Matt Blais is proud to announce he will performing at this year’s MUSEXPO in Los Angeles on April 8th at SIR Studios in support of his latest album ‘The Heartbeat‘.

Touring across Canada for most of 2013 with performances at Canadian Music Week, Indie Week, Alberta Beach Fest, Canal Flats in BC, Calgary’s Blankfest III and the Calgary Stampede Fest where he opened for The Watchmen, Blais has gained strong comparisons to artists such as Sam Roberts, Matt Mays and Joel Plaskett. Blending elements of fiery rock and roll with smooth vintage soul blues, Blais has formed a sound so uniquely his own that one can’t help but become emotionally charged. The combination of his high energy live show and a passion for song writing is Blais’ formula for success, which thus far has been very well received by critics and the audiences in Canada and beyond that continue to grow in number.

On The Road Again! Comedy Rockers Psychostick Announce SXSW, South By So What?, Mad Marchness Tour; New Video ‘Obey The Beard’

On the road again! One of America’s favourite comedy rock bands Psychostick are kicking off 2014 with their Mad Marchness Tour that includes a SXSW showcase on March 13th at Red Dog in Austin, TX and a show date at South By So What? on March 15th at Quicktrip Park in Grande Prairie, TX (Dallas/ Forth Worth area).

About:

Harnessing their crazy sense of humor and love of all things metal, vocalist Rob “Rawrb” Kersey and guitarist Josh “The J” Key joined forces with drummer Alex “Shmalex” Dontre and bassist Matty J “Moose” to create Pyschostick, a band they’ve coined as humorcore. With hilarious lyrics, heavy riffs, notorious stage antics and high-energy performances, the band has caused millions of laughs around the world and hundreds of mosh pits across the US, often simultaneously, since its birth in Phoenix, AZ in 2000.

Almost 100 percent do-it-yourself, Psychostick never strays from its signature sound, a combination of heavy music that Chimaira, Machine Head, and Hatebreed would be proud of, and wit and humor that would make Tenacious D and Weird Al Yankovic holler with laughter.

With three full-length albums behind them – “We Couldn’t Think of a Title,” “Sandwich,” and their holiday album, “The Flesh Eating Rollerskate Holiday Joyride” – the band released their latest record, “Space Vampires vs. Zombie Dinosaurs in 3D,” in 2011, following it up with a tour with Mushroomhead to add to their total count of 21 nationwide tours that have hit 47 states.

After a successful 2013 that saw these touring ninja warriors hit the road for multiple shows on the ‘Our Tour Can Beat Up Your Tour’, ‘Blow Your Fingers Off’ summer tour, their late summer dates with American Head Charge plus appearances at summer fests that included Rockapalooza, A2 Fest, Breast Fest Biker Bash, and Dirtfest.
