Hailing from Montreal, QC, BornBroken is aggressive music for critical masses. They are a band that thrives on fury at the injustices of the world we are living in and now is the right time for their righteous rage, it feeds their creative furnace!

Metal lifers; they give their music and fans 100%; their anger is authentic, yet it is not mindless anger, their intentions are for change for the good. A new world is what they wish to build, better than the old edifice that crumbles around us, a world of equality and justice for all!

Following up their well-received 2013 debut album ‘The Healing Powers of Hate’, they return in 2018 with a 40 minute freight-train on “The Years of Harsh Truths and Little Lies”. The new album features a refreshed line up that includes vocalist Pepe Peloquin (Endast), drummer Samuel Santiago (Gorod, First Fragment) along with bassist Red Voizard to join founding members and guitarists Mike Decker and Simon Sivard. The ten track assault is heavier and angrier plus even includes special guest vocals from Slaves On Dope’s Jason Rockman on “Fight”.

Decker explains:

“We felt the need to go 7 string and tune to (Drop G) for this latest batch of songs, it seemed fitting for the way the band was leaning towards. We keep the same writing style, writing what we want, when we want. First writing for ourselves and then molding into more standard song frame, so people can get the hook of the song, and make it a memorable sound to them.”

Teaming up with Beheading The Traitor, BORNBROKEN are premiering their second single and new lyric video “Listen”.

Check it out now at the following link:

BornBroken’s sophomore album “The Years of Hard Truths And Little Lies” is due out May 18th, 2018 and available for pre-order on Bandcamp and iTunes.

“BornBroken may be the best metal band you probably haven’t heard of. Those who love hard, heavy, angry metal are in for a treat and may find a new favorite in BornBroken.″ – TheFrontRowReport

“These extreme metallers have done an amazing job of combining death and thrash…” – Yell Magazine

“Working off catchy as fuck, breakdown inflected riffs BornBroken mercilessly pound the listener to pulp. There is absolutely no doubt people leave a BornBroken show with injuries.” – Hellbound

“Marching to the sounds of brutal bass, slamming percussion, high-speed guitar solos and violently powerful vocals, the broken shall rise.” – LouderThanHell

“Many of the hooks and riffs are excellent, they absolutely destroy my speakers, and the bedroom mosh commences.” – MetalStorm

“BornBroken have resurrected the intense metallic sounds of bands the likes of A Life Once Lost, Hatebreed, Nora, and Arise And Ruin that once dominated the North American metal scene. It’s wonderful to hear a band like BornBroken bringing back what some might consider the peak sound of modern metal.”

– MusikUniverse

“Musically, BornBroken are a more solid, and extremely heavy, lot. Simon Savard and Mike Decker’s surging, Dimebag Darrell-inspired grooves hit like haymakers throughout, aided by the sort of dry, ultra-punchy production Terry Date used to achieve such brutal majesty with Pantera, Unearth, Deftones and on White Zombie’s Astro Creep: 2000. The sound here is huge – especially for a self-released effort – clear and quite pummeling.” – Metal-Rules

“BornBroken deserves broad attention. They’ve already made a very big impression in their native Montreal, both for their live performances as well as their music in general. I honestly don’t know that much about the Montreal metal scene, but I do know that it is getting bigger and more competitive. For these guys to emerge as a local favorite suggests something of their overall quality. Give this one a spin.” SeaofTranquility

“Ça me manquait d’entendre du bon groove métal et cette formation de Montréal excelle dans ce domaine. Imagine un mélange de Pantera et Lamb Of God avec une voix hardcore à la Hatebreed et ça te donne une bonne idée du style que propose BornBroken.” – Boulevard Brutal

About:

PLANET EATER takes their name from the original nemesis of humanity Galactus, the destroyer of worlds. PLANET EATER has risen from the barren prairies, spreading their influence into Western Canada as well as gaining recognition in parts of the US, UK and Russia.

Hailing from Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, PLANET EATER is compromised of Luc Hart, (guitar), Donovan Turner, (vocals), Troy Bleich (bass /vocals) Devin Ubell (guitar) and Nick Eichhorst (drums).

In Jan of 2015 Luc Hart recorded and PLANET EATER released their first self titled EP.  This album made significant waves with its unpredictable blend of death, thrash, groove, progressive riffing. Using the album as a tool, PLANET EATER earned slots on numerous festivals across western Canada in 2015-16. These festivals included Loud as Hell, Armstrong Metal Fest, Calgary Metal Fest, ShrEdmonton Metal Fest, Manitoba Metal Fest and Metal Wizard Fest with many shows in between.

Using an aggressive and unique approach to merchandising and marketing PLANET EATER continues to leave its mark wherever it travels. These merchandise sales help finance the many tours across Canada, including their first music video, Burn It to The Ground off their self titled 2015 release. Garnering thousands of views, Burn It To The Ground continues to spread the word of the PLANET EATER.

PLANET EATER used these festivals and numerous shows to gradually hone their sound and define their identity as the band they are today. In winter of 2016 PLANET EATERreturned to the studio to begin recording the follow up full length release, Blackness From The Stars. Blackness From the Stars delves deeper into the initial styles of the band, incorporating a percussive and primal natures while creating dark, layered, and atmospheric grooves.

With a new album in tow for release on August 4th, 2017, PLANET EATER descends yet again into the heart of Western Canada to wreak havoc and debauchery. Slated to play numerous dates including Armstrong Metal Festival and Load as Hell for the third consecutive year, PLANET EATER is poised to make waves in 2017 and beyond.

“PLANET EATER have a tone that makes them stand out… Check out first track and lead single “The Boats”. Within the first 20 seconds a swinging, almost blues inspired riff wraps itself around your head, and then it comes back heavier (and slower) when the full band kicks in. Around that same time, vocalist Donovan Turner makes his presence known with a full throated straight from the guts of hell bellow, immediately calling these proceedings to order….On their first proper full length, PLANET EATER prove themselves contenders not only in the local scene, but have created a product that is worthy of international listenership.” – KNAC

“Planet Eater comes across as a melting pot of amalgamate death metal. Not afraid to add some modern elements, Planet Eater brings a sound that is both nostalgic and fresh at the same time. Off to a solid start, the future looks bright for Planet Eater, even if the members consider themselves old boys in a new scene.” – The Metal Observer

“Planet Eater from Saskatchewan took the stage and with little said to the audience launched into a crushing and intense set. They were unrelenting as they tore through their twenty five minutes and left the audience wanting more.” – Metal Rules (Live Review – Calgary MetalFest 2014)

Garnering thousands of views, Burn It To The Ground continues to spread the word of the PLANET EATER.

PLANET EATER used these festivals and numerous shows to gradually hone their sound and define their identity as the band they are today. In winter of 2016 PLANET EATER returned to the studio to begin recording the follow up full length release, Blackness From The Stars. Blackness From the Stars delves deeper into the initial styles of the band, incorporating a percussive and primal natures while creating dark, layered, and atmospheric grooves.

With a new album in tow for release on August 4th, 2017, PLANET EATERdescends yet again into the heart of Western Canada to wreak havoc and debauchery. Slated to play numerous dates including Armstrong Metal Festival and Load as Hell for the third consecutive year, PLANET EATER is poised to make waves in 2017 and beyond.

In 2008, from a deep, dark, poorly lit gromitorium in Calgary, Alberta, a new technical metal band, STATUE OF DEMUR was born. Drenched in Jager, Jake Reimer (Vocals/Bass), Richard Zimmer (Vocals/Guitar) and Mitch Fitz (Drums) came together to foster an intricate combination of many metal influences and fuse a completely unique sound. Set to release their third full-length “Alien Pacific” on Friday, June 16th, the trio has teamed up with NoCleanSinging for the exclusive premiere of their first single “Tamaracks”, one of their ten aggressive tracks centered around themes of conspiracies, alien abductions and a shadow government. Lyrically, it revolves around the destructive tendencies of humanity and the perseverance of the planet. The single encapsulates the band’s versatility and flaunts their technical prowess paired with mixing and mastering by Big Nate Productions.

“We’ve been continuously evolving to further develop the sound for Statue Of Demur and this album is the best representation of us to date. This is going to be our third full-length and we’re grateful to have a chance to record it locally and can’t wait for the chance to release the album on June 16, 2017.” comments drummer Mitch Fitz.

“Subhuman Ataxia is one of the most technically impressive albums I’ve heard in recent memory. It is a combination of heaviness with a large amount of technical work, and just enough groove to peak any metalhead’s interest.” – Bucketlist Music Reviews (Album review Subhuman Ataxia 2015)

BORNBROKEN Post New Track ‘A Nation of Ignorance’ Protesting Canada’s Federal Election; Announce New Vocalist Pepe Poliquin (ex-Endast)

‘A Nation of Ignorance’ – http://bornbroken.bandcamp.com/track/a-nation-of-ignorance

Montreal’s death thrashcore rippers BORNBROKEN have added new vocalist Pepe Poliquin (ex-Endast) to their line up and have just unleashed a new whopper of a tune featuring Peloquin entitled ‘A Nation of Ignorance’ for metal heads gearing up to vote in Canada’s federal election this week.

Guitarist Mike Decker comments:

“Doesn’t it seem that there are more lies exposed then truths being revealed and are we are letting it happen right before our eyes? Our latest single talks about a nation of ignorance we elected into power, that conceals everything behind a cloak of secrecy, conspiracy and silence. Well it’s time we expose the incompetence, stop the confusion before it all turns into chaos. The best way to protest and raise your voice is by voting. Make yourself heard and not be one of the forgotten.

We also like to add, we like to welcome into the band Pepe Poliquin (ex-Endast) on vocals. Pepe stepped down from playing guitar (for health reasons) and has given everything he’s got to be the voice for BornBroken. We also like to thank everyone who hung out along for the ride since our debut album “The Healing Powers of Hate”. It’s been a long a bumpy road, since our last single “Watch the World Unwind”, with lots of curves and dead ends, but we always seem to pull through. In the immortal words of Mike Muir (Suicidal Tendencies) “You Cant Bring Me Down!.”

Its time to hear the cry once more, and feel the rise again! The battle hasn’t just begun and it will never be over, unless we raise our voices together as one.

Keep in touch and most of all keep it real.”

About the band:

BornBroken are a Montreal-based metal band uniting the world through their unique take on explosive death/thrashcore. The band is three parts vocals with Pepe Waitforit Poliquin as the lead singer and Mike Decker and Simon Savard performing double-duty on guitar and vocals, one part low-end bass crafted by Tommy Vaillancourt, and one hundred percent integrity.

BornBroken is the sound of the beaten and the fallen overcoming their outlook of a blackened tomorrow through the medium of aggressive, galloping metal. Lyrically, the focus remains on taking sorrow and anger and rising up from the ashes to rebuild and heal a new world from one that’s crumbling down around us now. Lyrics have had a very personal connection for the band since their beginnings in 2008. Much of the band cut their teeth playing in local groups like Endast, Burn Unit, Dilute the Poison and Mort au Combat.

Contrary to their raw, aggressive music they are incredibly passionate about truth, integrity, perseverance, loyalty, and faith in humanity’s struggle for equality, which is all exposed on their debut album ‘The Healing Powers Of Hate’ released in 2013. The album was nominated for Metal Album of The Year at the 2014 GAMIQ Awards (Gala Alternatif de la Musique Indépendante du Québec), fan voted as Album of The Week (June 10th, 2013) on Revolver Magazine, along with debuting #8 on Canadian College Loud Charts, plus was named one of the best unsigned Heavy Metal Bands for June 2013 by Drago’s Dungeon on About.com – Heavy Metal. The band is planning a heavy follow up for 2016 and after months of writing and hours spent in the studio, BornBroken has managed to take every emotion they felt, put it to music, build off of past battle scars, and create a record where listeners will feel they are part of the story line. The band continues to create grinding, heavy music inspired by the likes of Hatebreed and Sepultura. Get ready to experience the monumental shift when the broken shall finally rise.

Cleveland’s INFALLING Unleash New Track ‘Distorted Visions’, An Assaulting Trauma From Their Upcoming EP ‘Ominous’

From L-R: INFALLING Line Up | Ben Smith (Bass) | Justin Endres (Guitars) | Tony Balante (Vocals) | Kyle Knicely (Guitars) | Eric Frabotta (Drums) – Photo Credit – Missy Wholf

Monstrous riffs, bellowing vocals, and pummeling drums that mimic that screaming disdain you have for your mundane existence, that is the assaulting trauma of Cleveland’s INFALLING. This aggressive and groovy five piece is responsible for writing crushing thrash-tinged death metal, which includes their new single ‘Distorted Visions’ from their yet to be released EP ‘Ominous’ to follow the aggression of their 2012 debut EP ‘Path of Desolation’.

To listen to ‘Distorted Visions’, please visit the following link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=REFUmo5q4Og

Multiples members of the band come from various Cleveland projects including Stresslord, Odious Sanction, and Pale Creation to name a few. The members are a culmination of Tony Balante berating the microphone, Justin Endres and Kyle Knicely crafting chugging riffs on guitar, Ben Smith slaying on bass, and Eric Frabotta setting the pace on drums. INFALLING is a sanctuary for the members giving them an outlet for creativity, fueled by passion and dedication to write their best material yet. Their boisterous sound is credited to their tried and true influences ranging from Metallica to Suffocation and helps them shape the auditory roller coaster that is Infalling.

Their writing process is a little unorthodox considering they conceptualize the songs based on the song titles, EP title, and then artwork. This reversed process has allowed them a sense of direction and visual cues to base their instrumentals on, from there the drum tracks are created, followed by riffs, and finally vocals. Their give and take relationship with crowds allows them to engage with fans at shows and have heads banging and horns in the air by their first song.

“We are proud to finally be able to release “The Healing Powers of Hate” to the metal masses. It was a long time coming for us, spending numerous amounts of hours in the studio and production room creating and visualizing the concept. We wanted to be able to have the listener feel they were part of the storyline and not just listening to another metal band. We took every emotion we felt, put it to music, took our battle scars from past projects and made sure they would be honored through the sounds of BornBroken, “Hear the Cry, The Broken Shall Rise!””
