Canada’s Sinful Ways have a loud new single “Burst Into Flames” out that is ready to launch listeners into a fray of melodic heavy metal.

This new single is a little different from what they have previously released and it shows that they are a diverse band who explore different sounds and can write different metal compositions from different genres. The result is a smooth blend of a few different genres in one refreshing, fast, melodic song. The band explains what they are trying to convey with this release:

“Sinful Ways wants fans to relate to our music in some way and make them feel connected to us as a band and our music. We want them to take their interpretation of the songs to relate in one way or another.”

Still a fairly new band when it comes to releasing music, Sinful Ways are still evolving their sound to create something refreshing and that they personally enjoy. To date, Sinful Ways’ sound consisted of ‘something for everyone’ by experimenting with various sounds and genres.

Sinful Ways released an EP “To Hell Tonight” last year, and have a barrage of more music coming out soon.

About:

Sinful Ways is Canadian heavy metal that embraces the roots of the genre while also exploring thrash, groove, and metalcore.

The band began when Andres Pierce (guitar/vocals) and Brad Lake (guitar/vocals) were in high school. They went through many different name changes and tried out different drummers and singers for a long time before the Sinful Ways we know today was formed with the addition of Georgio Karapanos (guitar) and Dave Matlak (drums/backing vocals).

The first EP “To Hell Tonight” was launched in 2019 and the band cemented their heavy melodic metal with substance. Sinful Ways channel energy and enthusiasm both on their recordings and live. They are an engaging band that will play each show as if it were their last compared to other bands that don’t have the attitude or energy of a true metal band.

In 2020, Sinful Ways began releasing singles to capture the attention of listeners, starting with “No Escape” and “Burst Into Flames” with more in the works including another EP.

Return To High School Angst With DEATH NOTE SILENCE’s New Video ‘Forgotten’

Canada’s DEATH NOTE SILENCE is hitting hard with their latest video, for the track ‘Forgotten’. This high impact, full throttle music video is complete with deep gutturals, accented with well-timed breakdowns and clean guitar harmonies that prove DEATH NOTE SILENCE is the next up and coming band in the underground Canadian metal scene.

‘Forgotten’ is off the self-titled EP that was released October 18, 2018, which followed the 2016 album “Code of Silence”. The band explains the meaning behind the song:

“This song is talking about someone put aside in high school. Someone that went through it, had it the hard way but made his way through it. You can feel the hate, unity and a sense of accomplishment.”

Moving forward, DEATH NOTE SILENCE provides a massive wall of sound that is more mature lyrically, but retains a touch of teen angst and is energetic and heavily complimented with gang vocals that engage the audience.

Fans of Despised Icon, Breakdown of Sanity and Whitechapel will find enjoyable similarities between those bands and the new upcomers DEATH NOTE SILENCE.

From humble beginnings in 2012, Montreal, QC’s RED SKIES has come together to create a musical style of their own with nothing but their creativity to limit them. “The title for our song New Voice has several meanings. Not only is it our first non-animated visual representation of the music featured on our latest record, Iron Sun, it is also a metaphor for our band’s attempt to be heard in the seemingly saturated music industry of today. The video itself reflects upon a duality in the mind of an individual struggling with his desire to live in an unjust society. It can be interpreted in many ways, but this was the idea we were working with. The viewer will see two completely different situations playing out the main theme with an accompanying narrative. The end of a time and the beginnings of something greater; that is what Red Skies stands for and what its name means to the band members that make up its sound.

From humble beginnings in 2012, the group came together to create a musical style of their own with nothing but their creativity to limit them. Fast, catchy and heavy, their E.P. Identitas (2013) stands as a testament to their reputation as a staple of the Montreal music scene. In the short amount of time the band has been around, they already had the chance to share the stage with many established acts, including: Architects, Enter Shikari, The Acacia Strain, Stray From the Path, Volumes, Being as an Ocean, My Ticket Home, Amity Affliction, For the Fallen Dreams, Obey the Brave, Heartist, Smash Hit Combo, Your Memorial, The Plot in You, The Contortionist, Counterparts, Fit For An Autopsy, Intervals and many more.

In 2014, their hard work was recognized by a large panel of judges coming from all corners of the music industry (Evenko, Extensive Enterprises, The Gazette, Asher Media Relations, etc.) at the “En Route Vers Heavy MTL” contest, during which the band made it all the way to the finals at Virgin Mobile Corona Theatre, under overwhelming participation from the crowd and positive feedback from the judges.

Red Skies continues to push the limits of their identity and sound, striving to create a place for their art and a name for themselves. Their debut record “Iron Sun” (10/13/15) has already received many critical acclaims and keeps doing so as the band spreads their fresh new sound to the masses.
