Montreal, QC – September 9, 2025

VISITANT Unleashes New Video “Rubidium” Ahead of “In the Wake of Flame Tour” (FL/GA/TN/SC/NC) w/ IATT

Debut Album “Rubidium” Out Aug 2025 via Exitus Stratagem Records

Blackened death metal collective Visitant has dropped the official video for their album’s title track, “Rubidium”, a visceral visual companion to one of the most progressive and punishing songs on their debut record, unleashed on August 22nd via Exitus Stratagem Records. The release sets the stage for Visitant’s scorching “In the Wake of Flame Tour”, a five-state trek through Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, South Carolina, and North Carolina with genre-defying allies IATT, culminating in a climactic performance at the Tennessee Metal Devastation Fest.

“Rubidium” is a sonic and lyrical descent into mythic horror. The track conjures a deity that feeds on human souls to nourish the forest floor, with trees bearing hauntingly human faces and worshippers willingly surrendering to the soil. Guitarist Taylor Tidwell, inspired by serpentine imagery, crafted riffs that slither and strike, while the band’s signature orchestral layering and thunderous rhythm section elevate the track into a cinematic nightmare.

The “Rubidium” video captures this eerie mythology with stark visuals and ritualistic intensity, setting the tone for the tour’s immersive live experience. Watch the music video at https://youtu.be/GL-kNR6rPDA

Visitant’s debut album “Rubidium” has already made waves for its genre-defying sound. Featuring seven tracks of ritualistic brutality, the record blends orchestral grandeur with guttural rage. The lineup includes riff architect Taylor Tidwell (Unaligned), drums and orchestration by Anthony Lusk-Simone (Abiotic, Lattermath), bassist Kilian Duarte (Abiotic, Scale the Summit), growler Chelsea Marrow (Voraath, DOOM ETERNAL, Hellblade II), and Thomas Weidick, on guitar, who recently joined their live lineup this past June.

The album explores themes of grief, betrayal, and vengeance, with each track acting as a chapter in a dark spiritual journey. As Chelsea Marrow puts it, “After you listen to the album from beginning to end, you feel like you were just on the biggest journey. It evokes all sorts of feels. Like damn… I feel like I was audibly hit by a big ol’ bus. In a good way… if there was a good way!”

Recommended for fans of Gojira, Opeth, Naglfar, and Between the Buried and Me, “Rubidium” is a must-listen. And for those craving more, they can catch Visitant with IATT live this fall as they bring “Rubidium” to life on the “In the Wake of Flame Tour” (dates listed below).

“Visitant is here to utterly wreck your morning thanks to their brand new single “Fodder”, the first offering from their upcoming album Rubidium due out on August 23 via Exitus Stratagem Records. Visitant is vocalist Chelsea Marrow (Voraath, The Monster Factory, Doom Eternal, Hellblade 2, etc.), guitarist Taylor Tidwell, drummer Anthony Lusk-Simone (Abiotic, Lattermath & ex-Pathogenic), and bassist Kilian Duarte (Abiotic, Lattermath, Felix Martin & Scale The Summit). So a real powerhouse of a band that brings some savage energy to the metal world.” – Metal Injection

“Called “a blackened invitation to a ghoulish night at the opera,” Rubidium proves why these vets of Abiotic, Scale the Summit, and more are turning heads in extreme metal. From spectral piano and spidery technical riffs on Starless to Opeth-esque solos on Unworldly and the ghoul choir on the title track, this album is a masterclass in dark symphonic extremity. Blending late-90s symphonic black metal flamboyance with modern melodic death precision, Visitant delivers “an apparition of necromantic delight”. Recommended for fans of Naglfar, Dark Fortress, and The Faceless, Rubidium proves these metal veterans are a force to watch in the underground.” – Metal Hammer UK

““Fodder“, presents different warps and wefts in its weave. Also presented through a video (this time we get to see the band perform), it was inspired by a very dark dream in which Chelsea attempted to bring a murdered friend back to life and lost her own life in the process, leaving the friend trapped in a hellish limbo, bound to a body over which their control had been lost to dark spirits. To be sure, this song is also musically extravagant. It features a lot of borderline deranged and technically demanding high-speed maneuvers (a tour de force that would make lots of tech-death bands jealous) but it’s also hallucinatory, and unhinged in many other respects. It further demonstrates that Chelsea Marrow can really sing, as well as howl like a wolf and scream like a goblin. It’s a highly theatrical experience, but also instrumentally kaleidoscopic and viscerally frightening, and the singing makes the song stand out as much as every other demented and dazzling aspect of it.” – No Clean Singing

“This was an outstanding album, and the band left no stone unturned, even the smaller ones. The aggressive bite of Black Metal was there, just as you would want, but intelligent, technical elements also mixed in, as well as thoughtful, Progressive ones. I would call this “thinking man’s Black Metal.”” – Metal Temple

“There’s no shortage of quality performances, and Rubidium has all the ingredients for a gripping album.” – Angry Metal Guy

“A stunning debut that announces the arrival of a band destined for great things. Rubidium burns bright and leaves a lasting impression.” – Moshville Times

“The powerful rhythmic presence in Vistant will keep this beast going. The drum work is phenomenal and the bass is tasty. A metalhead into extreme music should appreciate this debut album. It has its artistic moments with melodic riffs, solos and said beautiful singing….dont expect constant brutality. It’s so well done it makes the heavy parts even heavier, and the melodic sections prettier. It helps creates mood and emotion every second you listen to their music.” – Technical Music Review

“I try to be as objective and open on all of my reviews, but my dear reader, this may be my first 10/10 this year. Everything worked perfectly. There are ABSOLUTELY ZERO skips on this album and it needs to be heard in full to be completely appreciated. “Rubidium” is out on Exitus Stratagem Records on the 22nd of August. I know I am going to purchase a physical copy and I strongly encourage you to do the same. Sit in your living room, balcony, or in the middle of the desert and take this journey again and again.” – Female Fronted Power

“Rubidium by Visitant isn’t just a good Black Metal album, nor is it a just great Black Metal album. What it is, is an essential Black Metal album, and one that any fan of Black Metal should have pencilled in to purchase when it crawls into the light of day. You need this in your life.” – Black Metal Archive

“Rubidium is a tightly-wound, cerebral slab of modern dissonant death metal with a distinctly unearthly voice. Fans of Ulcerate, Artificial Brain, and Convulsing will find plenty to sink into here — just don’t expect comfort. Visitant aren’t here to soothe; they’re here to stare you down until you blink.” – Metal Purgatory Media

““2025 has definitely had its share of great albums, and I’m counting this among the those… It absolutely impressed, outshined by expectations, and I’m already anxiously awaiting the next release by Visitant!” – The Great Metal Debate

Debut Album “Rubidium” Out Aug 2025 via Exitus Stratagem Records

The wait is over. Blackened death metal collective Visitant unleashes their highly anticipated debut album “Rubidium” via Exitus Stratagem Records, delivering seven tracks of ritualistic, unrelenting music that weaves ethereal elements into haunting soundscapes. The album represents what the band calls ‘shadow work’, a visceral exploration of the bleakest parts of being human.

“Rubidium” showcases the full collaborative power of Visitant‘s seasoned lineup across 32 minutes of immersive music. Taylor Tidwell (Unaligned) serves as the primary architect of the band’s crushing riffs, while Anthony Lusk-Simone’s (Abiotic, Lattermath) orchestral passages and thunderous drumming build the cinematic worlds that define each composition. Kilian Duarte’s (Abiotic, Scale the Summit) monstrous bass work drives the album’s forward momentum, even contributing a guitar solo on “Envies Lament”. Chelsea Marrow’s (Voraath, Video Games: DOOM ETERNAL, Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II) commanding vocals tie everything together, transforming personal experiences into ghost stories that channel the essence of restless, vengeful spirits. Thomas Weidick, on guitar, recently joined their live lineup this past June.

The album explores themes of grief, loss, betrayal, vengeance, time lost, and regret through seven carefully constructed tracks that showcase Visitant‘s ability to transcend genre boundaries.

The band shares their thoughts on the record:

Tony: “Imagine Dimmu and UADA being smashed together like action figures during recess.”

Kilian: “This record, I think, threads the needle, blending a lot of different genres. But yes, imagine a bunch of metal bands as action figures in the best Super Smash bros type of way.”

Taylor: “While the genre-bending is ever-present, the release as a whole works cohesively, every part making up a piece of the puzzle.”

Chelsea: “I really do think it’s genre-bending as well. I didn’t actively approach it with that in mind, but I went for what I felt each part needed or made me feel. It was a freeing experience. I was hoping we could create something that was impactful. I think we did that. After you listen to the album from beginning to end, you feel like you were just on the biggest journey. It evokes all sorts of feels. Like damn.. I feel like I was audibly hit by a big ol’ bus. In a good way… if there was a good way!”

The album was produced and mixed by Anthony Lusk-Simone and mastered by Jason Fisher, with striking artwork created by Chelsea Marrow in collaboration with Maxwell Aston for layout and logo design. Every element of “Rubidium” has been crafted to create what the band describes as ‘epic, moving, bleak, beautiful, and uncompromising’ music.

For fans of Gojira, Opeth, Naglfar, and Between the Buried and Me, ‘Rubidium’ offers a visceral experience that promises to resonate for years to come. Visitant celebrates the album release with their live debut at Michigan Metal Fest, bringing their haunting world to audiences with an intense live experience that matches the cinematic scope of their recorded work.

“Visitant introduce the song (Starless) with subdued classical strings and rippling piano keys which together create a sorrowful but entrancing mood. The gentle nature of that overture makes the sudden crash that follows it even more startling — a sudden attack of slashing and sizzling fretwork, gargantuan bass-moans, neck-cracking beats, savage roars, and scorching screams. The song continues to bring in classically influenced piano melodies coupled with vividly dancing guitars, creating an almost diabolical kind of elegance, but the song also ignites a blackened firestorm of blasting drums, delirious fretwork, and sweeping symphonics. The notes vibrantly dart and blaze as the rhythm section thunder, and the music both elevates to heights of daunting, haughty grandeur and sweeps like wildfire. The torrid and tormented vocals seem to hold nothing back, howling and screaming out on the bleeding edge of intensity, and as if the song couldn’t get any more extravagant, the band make room for a head-spinning guitar solo at the end, in the midst of lots of other equally head-spinning fretwork and rhythm-section spectacles.” – No Clean Singing

““Fodder“, presents different warps and wefts in its weave.
“Emerging from the shadowy fringes of the metal scene, blackened death metal outfit Visitant has unleashed their riveting debut single, “Fodder.” Released as a precursor to their eagerly anticipated first full-length album, “Rubidium,” the track invites listeners into a deeply atmospheric yet punishing sonic landscape.” – See Rock Live Magazine

“Uniting seasoned musicians from the Extreme Metal underground scene with members known for their previous works in Abiotic, Scale the Summit, Unaligned and Voraath, Blackened Death Metal quartet Visitant have spent the better part of three years crafting a debut album. The promise is of something dark, beautiful, visceral and compelling with single “Fodder” an almost ritualistic journey that weaves ethereal elements into an unrelentingly aggressive soundscape. Turning personal experiences into ghost stories for the half an hour of power that is “Rubidium” caught the attention of Exitus Stratagem Records who will distribute the affair on 29th August.” – Metal Noise

Montreal, QC – June 27, 2025

Out Now! Black Metal Storytellers MARGANTHA Debut EP “Blood Moon Sacrifice”

+ New Music Video “Miriam And The Endless Night (ft. Andy LaRoque)”

Rockshots Records proudly announces the official release of “Blood Moon Sacrifice”, the debut EP from Finnish-Italian black metal act MARGANTHA, available today on all digital platforms.

Rooted in myth, fear, and ritual, “Blood Moon Sacrifice” is more than just a collection of songs—it’s a narrative journey steeped in dark folklore and haunting atmosphere. The EP unfolds around the legend of a werewolf that terrorizes a secluded hunters’ village beneath a remote mountain range, channeling the emotional tension, primal fear, and descent into hysteria that defines the story.

Each track serves as a chapter in this tale:

  • “Blood Moon Sacrifice” opens the story with a dark waltz-like cadence, evoking the atmosphere of an ancient forest. During a solitary hunt, the protagonist is bitten, sealing the origin of the curse. Two instrumental interludes—bass and drums—heighten the track’s unsettling tone, making it feel like the soundtrack to a twisted fairy tale.
  • “Wolves at the Door” marks the creature’s approach to the village. This is no pack—but a lone, primordial predator whose thirst rivals that of many. Opening with a dark yet exotic riff and evolving through a melodic death metal core, the track balances blackened aggression, speed, and melody in a cinematic, dynamic form.
  • “Miriam and the Endless Night” (feat. Andy LaRocque) shifts perspective. Told through the eyes of a woman trapped in an endless night of terror, the song moves from eerie, unorthodox harmonies into a vortex of riffs and violence. Andy LaRocque (King Diamond) adds his signature touch where bloodlust and survival collide.
  • “Curse of the Full Moon” concludes the cycle with a hypnotic 6/8 ballad that depicts the protagonist’s full transformation. With elongated tempos, obsessive rhythms, and oppressive harmonies, the track channels the ritualistic core of classic black metal—slow, relentless, and introspective.

Driven by evocative riffs, atmospheric layering, and a primordial vocal delivery, MARGANTHA’s music balances black metal’s raw essence with moments of melody, tension, and dynamic pacing. As the band explains:

“We start from the story. Every riff, every rhythm is designed to serve the narrative. We’re not interested in technical excess—our focus is atmosphere, cohesion, and emotion.”

The entire EP was mixed and mastered by Andy LaRocque (King Diamond) at Sonic Train Studio, giving the record a powerful and precise sound while preserving its shadowy intensity.

Influenced by the cinematic dread of Mgła, the emotional fire of Uada and Gaerea, and the timeless aggression of Venom, Behemoth, and Celtic Frost, MARGANTHA builds a sound that is immersive, urgent, and steeped in meaning.

With “Blood Moon Sacrifice”, MARGANTHA mark their official debut—a work that merges ancient horror with the raw force of contemporary black metal. For fans of narrative-driven metal, hypnotic atmospheres, and unrelenting darkness, this is a first chapter worth embracing.

BIOGRAPHY:

Margantha is an Italian-Finnish band formed by three musicians united by a passion for black metal and horror aesthetics. The project aims to create a powerful, evocative, and dramatic sound inspired by bands like Mgła, Ensiferum, Behemoth, and 1349, while incorporating atmospheric and melodic elements into their approach.

The band’s sound is a haunting and captivating tribute to black metal, enriched with lyrics inspired by horror and Gothic atmospheres reminiscent of the 19th century. Their music evokes a journey into the darkest and most mysterious corners of the soul, characterized by somber tones and lyrics that delve into the macabre and the supernatural.

Margantha draws inspiration from art in all its forms: from the literature of Bram Stoker, Mary Shelley, and Stevenson, to the paintings of Caravaggio, Bosch, and Turner. The band’s visual identity also reflects this artistic inclination, with carefully crafted photos designed to mimic the style of classical paintings, aligning with the dark and ominous atmospheres central to the project.

Born from the union of two distinct cultures, Italian and Finnish, Margantha blends the musical and artistic traditions of both countries to create a unique sonic experience.

H.P. Lovecraft (1890-1937), creator of the Cthulu Mythos, was the most influential horror writer of the 20th century. Indeed, no less a talent than Stephen King said Lovecraft was ‘the 20th Century’s greatest practitioner of the classic horror tale.’ Lovecraft’s ability to evoke brooding otherworldly horror is unsurpassed and has influenced a great many heavy metal artists from Iron Maiden and Black Sabbath to Metallica. Yet no band has ever paid tribute to Lovecraft with the same degree of scope and immersion as the appropriately CRAFTEON.

Conceived by vocalist and guitarist Lord Mordiggian whom has been inspired to create an entire album influenced by his favorite writer H.P. Lovecraft, their debut “Cosmic Reawakening” features eight tracks based on classic Lovecraft tales such as ‘The Outsider’, ‘Dagon’ and ‘From Beyond’. Achieving the unachievable in crafting music to match the stories, CRAFTEON can be best described as Bardic Black Metal.

Musically inspired by the likes of Shining, Dissection, Nyktalgia, Cradle of Filth and Iron Maiden, Lord Mordiggian describes the sound of CRAFTEON as ‘rough-hewn, distraught, mucilaginous, archival and multiplanar.’

Teaming up with ToiletOvHell.com, CRAFTEON is premiering the full stream of their debut album that will be available as of August 25th.

“I expect the general fans of black metal to enjoy the influence of early Swedish black metal…This band will remain in the realm of Lovecraft and at least his genre, and considering he has hundreds of other stories, the music to come in the future is virtually limitless as far as the concept goes. I already have several songs in the works for the sophomore album, and this time the other band members are contributing their own original pieces as well.” says Lord Mordiggian.

“Crafteon are about to self-release their debut album, Cosmic Reawakening, and it’s one that should definitely be on your radar if you’re a fan of black metal or legendary horror author, H.P. Lovecraft. From the moment you hit play on the album, you’re immediately transported into a melodic and mystical world that Crafteon builds on across all 8 tracks, and leaves you wanting more.” – Metal Injection

“The lyrics are indeed Lovecraftian in their evocation of blood-chilling horror. And the music effectively captures the terrifying and grandiose drama of the words, with a pulsating, yowling riff that gets its hooks in fast and cracked, strangled vocals that are monstrously ugly and rise up in flames of delirious anguish.” – No Clean Singing

“Unlike many other bands who claim to be inspired by a certain subject or person, Crafteon do a fantastic job of capturing the spirit of Lovecraft while still making incredibly exciting black metal.” – Games, Brrraaains & A Headbanging Life

“If Black Metal and Lovecraft are something that floats your goat, then the debut full length, ‘Cosmic Reawakening’, from Denver’s Bardic Black Metallers, Crafteon, is worthy of your ears and time….’Cosmic Reawakening’ is, simply put, a great listen and an easy and engaging one at that, it’s mood rich and anyone who is familiar with the stories will appreciate just how pace and content suits the tales concerned, from the blackened well varied riffing to the sinister edge that comes from the bass lines which are prominent and add mood and atmosphere without dominating.” – Metal Talk

“Black metal based on H.P. Lovecraft you say? Is there any better combination? Of course there isn’t! And that’s exactly what Crafteon peddle, a brand of melodic black metal rich in Cthulhu’s and other sticky monster stuff… High drama prevails as Crafteon expertly craft a journey that’s fantastical and feverish in its intensity and its genius lies in its subterfuge. You see, Cosmic Reawakening creeps up on you, unnerving, hideous yet strangely hypnotic and its horrors appear to lurk under the surface, masked by melody.  To quote the great man himself, “with only a slight churning to mark its rise to the surface, the thing slid into view above the dark waters. Vast, Polyphemus-like, and loathsome””. – Worship Metal

“one of the most memorable black metal albums ever.” – Disagreement.net

“This CD is a DIY project. Crafteon’s work without a label is masterful. It’s a bit rare to make an album that sounds this great. Even on CD, through the tiny speakers, this album sounds amazing.” – Glacially Musical

About:

“That is not dead which can eternal lie yet with strange aeons even death may die.” – H.P Lovecraft ‘The Nameless City’

CRAFTEON is the conception of vocalist and guitarist Lord Mordiggian. A teacher of literature, Lord Mordiggian was inspired to create an entire album inspired by his favourite writer H.P. Lovecraft.

Musically inspired by the likes of Shining, Dissection, Nyktalgia, Cradle of Filth and Iron Maiden, Lord Mordiggian describes the sound of CRAFTEON as ‘rough-hewn, distraught, mucilaginous, archival and multiplanar.’

CRAFTEON’s debut album “Cosmic Reawakening” features eight tracks inspired by classic Lovecraft tales such as ‘The Outsider’, ‘Dagon’, and ‘From Beyond’. CRAFTEON have achieved the unachievable in crafting music to match the stories, indeed, such are their storytelling prowess and their style of music could be dubbed Bardic Black Metal. Lord Mordiggian is optimistic about the album’s reception and there is more music to come.

“I expect the general fans of black metal to enjoy the influence of early Swedish black metal…This band will remain in the realm of Lovecraft and at least his genre, and considering he has hundreds of other stories, the music to come in the future is virtually limitless as far as the concept goes. I already have several songs in the works for the sophomore album, and this time the other band members are contributing their own original pieces as well.”

CRAFTEON’s debut album “Cosmic Reawakening” is due out August 25, 2017.

Denver, CO’s CRAFTEON is the conception of vocalist and guitarist Lord Mordiggian whom has been inspired to create an entire album influenced by his favorite writer H.P. Lovecraft. Set to unleash their debut “Cosmic Reawakening” on August 25th, the eight tracks on the release are based on classic H.P. Lovecraft tales such as ‘The Outsider’, ‘Dagon’ and ‘From Beyond’. Achieving the unachievable in crafting music to match the stories, CRAFTEON can be best described as Bardic Black Metal.

Their first single “What The Moon Brings“ was unleashed earlier this month and now these dark lords have teamed up with MetalInjection.net for the exclusive premiere of their next track “Dagon” at the following link: http://www.metalinjection.net/av/song-premiere/crafteon-is-h-p-lovecraft-inspired-black-metal-and-it-rules

Lord Mordiggian explains:

“This track is based on Lovecraft’s tale of the same name, in which a deranged veteran submarine crewman is driven to a morphine overdose, throwing himself from his apartment window when he cannot obliterate from his memory a horrifying encounter with an ancient, cyclopean creature. This track reflects the human incapacity for surviving the black gnosis–the maddening knowledge of that which should not be known. “Dagon” showcases Crafteon’s style through its aggressive riffing, atmospheric passages, and manic vocals.”
