Mexico’s CIRROSIS have just released their latest music video for their next single “The Daydreamer’s Nightmare” off their upcoming album “The Collector of Truths” due out later in 2019. The album is the band’s second studio release and first in English to follow their debut Spanish language album “Reciclando Desesperación” released 20 years ago in 1999.

The video was directed by Carlos Hermosillo and showcases the band’s mix of death and thrash, suitable for fans of Fear Factory, Morbid Angel and Pestilence. The band has been lurking in the shadows and with Grammy-nominated producer Francisco ‘Chucky’ Oroz playing guitar they are finally ready to return to the underground metal scene and prove they can still write fast and technical music.

Even after 20 years, CIRROSIS is still in demand and they are looking forward to satisfying their longtime fans and impressing new ones.

Vocalist Sir Oz comments:

“Fans will hear a more versatile and technical Cirrosis, it’s organized brutality and non-pretentious songs. There are songs that seem to have an insane competition of virtuosity, we respect that, but we seek to offer a good song, heavy but structured songs. However, this does not mean that fans are not going to find technical aspects in our album; actually, they are going to find it a lot.”

BIO:

CIRROSIS is a death metal band from Sonora, Mexico, formed in 1991 with the name Cirrosis by Francisco ‘Chucky’ Oroz and Sir Oz, being the only original members in the current lineup. Due to their technical capacity they incorporated early progressive elements and melodic solos, CIRROSIS quickly gained notoriety in the local and national scene. Their live performances were characterized by their intensity and fury, soon becoming a cult band. In 1996, Joseph Lev joined the band and they recorded their first demo “La Tierra de la Adicción”. In 1999, CIRROSIS entered the studio and recorded the album “Reciclando Desesperación”, with lyrics exclusively in Spanish.

In 2001, CIRROSIS decided to break up, so the members could continue with their personal and professional projects. In 2014, Concreto Records decided to reissue the album “Reciclando Desesperación” describing it as “the maladaptive sound that disturbed a style in Mexico that can give lessons to current and modern bands”.

20 years later, CIRROSIS is releasing their second studio album “The Collector of Truths” which will be released in 2019.

Brutal is the forte for Jacksonville’s CRYPTERIA who take the Floridian death metal tradition, snap its neck with technicality and then bring it back to life with groove and memorable riffs. Unleashing their self-titled debut album in October 2018, mixed and mastered by Denmark’s Jacob Hansen, CRYPTERIA is definitely enjoyable for fans of well-known bands in the genre, but with more poetic and philosophical lyrical content than listeners might expect with guitarist Austin Burleigh’s classic literature teaching background.

Teaming up with NoCleaninSinging.com, the band presents their new lyric video for “Corrupted Text”, a track influenced by Hume “Of Miracles” and the second half of Hobbes’ “Leviathan”. The track mocks belief in miracles and visions while noting how early Christian writers inadvertently included concepts derived from ancient pagan philosophy into their sacred texts.

Ontario’s HATRED REIGNS unleashed to the metal world their debut EP “Realm: I – Affliction” last month on May 25th. The 3 track EP was recorded, mixed and mastered by Dark Moon Productions and drums engineered by Geoff McNeely & Joe “Moon” Lyko at Raven Street Studios presents songs from their future full-length concept album that recants the travels of a damned soul to purgatory where their fate will be determined as they face numerous challenges along the way.

Guitarist Jeff Calder explains:

“Lyrics were written by Brandon Mayhew (guitarist) and me. The concept was inspired by Dante’s Inferno and movie ‘What Dreams May Come’ (the book is not as similar to the film) while giving our own twist and personal interests on the theme.”

Now a month later, the Ottawa powerhouse premiere their new lyric video “Planes Divide”, a track about a damned soul that travels between gateways towards Necropia.

Ontario’s HATRED REIGNS unleash to the metal world their debut EP “Realm: I – Affliction” out now as of May 25th.

This 3 song EP takes songs from their future full-length concept album that recants the travels of a damned soul to purgatory where their fate will be determined as they face numerous challenges along the way.

Guitarist Jeff Calder explains the writing and inspiration for the album:

“Lyrics were written by Brandon Mayhew (guitarist) and me. The concept was inspired by Dante’s Inferno and movie ‘What Dreams May Come’ (the book is not as similar to the film) while giving our own twist and personal interests on the theme.”

So far through private listening parties, the EP has been well received by fans across metal sub-genres and the band is very excited to show off the final product, especially live and on CD, which is why the band will be celebrating its physical release on May 27th supporting the Indiemerch Devastation On The Nation Tour in Ottawa with Aborted, Psycroptic, Ingested, Disentomb, Arkaik, Venom Prison and Vale of Pnath (info here).

     Regina, SK titans of brutality PLANET EATER return from the flat lands of Western Canada’s prairies to offer their latest assault to the masses with their first full length “Blackness From The Stars” due out August 4th to follow their 2015 self-titled debut EP and its massively loved track “Burn It To The Ground”.  Blending thrash and death metal with crushing grooves and devastating vocals, PLANET EATER demonstrate hints of Morbid Angel, Converge and Bolt Thrower with elements of Sepultura, Strapping Young Lad and Gojira embedded at the core of their sound. PLANET EATER takes their name from the original nemesis of humanity Galactus, the destroyer of worlds. PLANET EATER has risen from the barren prairies, spreading their influence into Western Canada as well as gaining recognition in parts of the US, UK and Russia.

Hailing from Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, PLANET EATER is compromised of Luc Hart, (guitar), Donovan Turner, (vocals), Troy Bleich (bass /vocals) Devin Ubell (guitar) and Nick Eichhorst (drums).

In Jan of 2015 Luc Hart recorded and PLANET EATER released their first self titled EP.  This album made significant waves with its unpredictable blend of death, thrash, groove, progressive riffing. Using an aggressive and unique approach to merchandising and marketing PLANET EATER continues to leave its mark wherever it travels. These merchandise sales help finance the many tours across Canada, including their first music video, Burn It to The Ground off their self titled 2015 release. Garnering thousands of views, Burn It To The Ground continues to spread the word of the PLANET EATER.

PLANET EATER used these festivals and numerous shows to gradually hone their sound and define their identity as the band they are today. In winter of 2016 PLANET EATER returned to the studio to begin recording the follow up full length release, Blackness From The Stars. Blackness From the Stars delves deeper into the initial styles of the band, incorporating a percussive and primal natures while creating dark, layered, and atmospheric grooves.

With a new album in tow for release on August 4th, 2017, PLANET EATER descends yet again into the heart of Western Canada to wreak havoc and debauchery. PLANET EATER takes their name from the original nemesis of humanity Galactus, the destroyer of worlds. PLANET EATER has risen from the barren prairies, spreading their influence into Western Canada as well as gaining recognition in parts of the US, UK and Russia.

Hailing from Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, PLANET EATER is compromised of Luc Hart, (guitar), Donovon Turner, (vocals), Troy Bleich (bass /vocals) Devin Ubell (guitar) and Nick Eichhorst (drums).

In Jan of 2015 Luc Hart recorded and PLANET EATER released their first self titled EP.  This album made significant waves with its unpredictable blend of death, thrash, groove, progressive riffing. Using the album as a tool, PLANET EATERearned slots on numerous festivals across western Canada in 2015-16. These festivals included Loud as Hell, Armstrong Metal Fest, Calgary Metal Fest, ShrEdmonton Metal Fest, Manitoba Metal Fest and Metal Wizard Fest with many shows in between.

Using an aggressive and unique approach to merchandising and marketing PLANET EATER continues to leave its mark wherever it travels. These merchandise sales help finance the many tours across Canada, including their first music video, Burn It to The Ground off their self titled 2015 release. Garnering thousands of views, Burn It To The Ground continues to spread the word of the PLANET EATER.

PLANET EATER used these festivals and numerous shows to gradually hone their sound and define their identity as the band they are today. In winter of 2016 PLANET EATER returned to the studio to begin recording the follow up full length release, Blackness From The Stars. Blackness From the Stars delves deeper into the initial styles of the band, incorporating a percussive and primal natures while creating dark, layered, and atmospheric grooves.

With a new album in tow for release on August 4th, 2017, PLANET EATERdescends yet again into the heart of Western Canada to wreak havoc and debauchery. Slated to play numerous dates including Armstrong Metal Festival and Load as Hell for the third consecutive year, PLANET EATER is poised to make waves in 2017 and beyond.

Established in 2005 in their home state of Montana, USA and now residing in Denver, CO. The band’s name is derived from the Scandinavian word “Maradraum” meaning nightmare. The name is also associated with various folklore of a malignant female wraith who causes what is now known as sleep paralysis.
Their sinister arrangement of black and death metal is influenced by their European counterparts while maintaining distinctly, unapologetic American style. The band draws inspiration from greats like Opeth, Behemoth, and Bloodbath, while crafting their own symphonic elements. Martriden are known for writing soaring tracks courtesy of Shane Howard writing thick guitar riffs paired with his brother Kyle’s keyboard and acid gargling vocals. Will Thackeray wraps up each song tightly around his dark guitar riffs for the perfect balance of melody and heaviness. Shane currently records and engineers albums in his Sawn and Quartered Studio and does recording collaborations with Dave Otero at Denver’s Flatline Audio Studios.  He has been involved in the recordings of Wayfarer, Satan’s Host, Khemmis, and the last two Cattle Decapitation recordings.
