Vancouver’s HUNTING GIANTS Ponder Domination And Avarice In “Too Big To Kill”

New Album “Mythos” Out Sept 30th

“Mythos” is the second release from Canada’s Hunting Giants following their 2018 EP “Skyward Eyes”. They have upped the ante with this new record, offering bigger riffs, wilder stories, and more layers to entangle listeners. The primary themes in their next single “Too Big To Kill” are domination and avarice, as told through the eyes of a hunter.

The track immediately starts with a riff that brings to mind the thrill of the hunt which is encapsulated by the lyrical repetition of ‘Row’ as our anti-hero cuts through the waves, hot on the trail of his next quarry. As the instruments are hushed, the lyrics speak from the perspective of a man who desires only domination and finds satisfaction in ending the lives of those he hunts. The band continues:

“One of the major singles on the Mythos album, Too Big To Kill is a non-stop adventure with the highs and lows of the raging rapids. This unending momentum builds throughout the song revealing how remorseless yet effective he is at killing until we arrive at the bridge, where the tables are turned and he finds himself fleeing from the beast which he sought to trap. This song is an exploration of those who love violence and the inevitable bloody end which they attract towards themselves.”

For Hunting Giants, their lyrics come from within. They can be inspired by pieces of literature, emotion derived from lived experiences, or ideas which take root within the mind and must be expressed through song. They encapsulate emotion while being entertaining and thought-provoking, giving the lister yet another layer to focus on amidst the riffs and melodies.

“Mythos” is a unique album expressed with a great diversity of energetic auditory textures. Each song hits hard with novel approaches and fresh ideas that will induce a comforting nostalgia in modern rock fans looking for something new and awesome.

Energetic, theatrical, and groovy, Hunting Giants is recommended for fans of Audioslave, Muse, and Tool.

The lyric video “Too Big To Kill” can be seen and heard via its premiere on AllAboutTheRock HERE.

The album “Mythos” is out on September 30, 2022.

Multi-Instrumentalist MATT MILLER Unleashes Shred Finesse Video “The Obscurantist”

New Album “Monument of Velocity” Out Now!

Akademia-Award-winning producer, engineer, and songwriter Matt Miller side-steps these industry achievements to embark on something deeply introspective and personal; a transcendent, reactionary and vile personage embodying soaring progressive melodies and captivating crushing rhythms which engulf the listener in black clouds of desperation and shimmering hope. Through his solo project, he has released four cover albums and three original albums the most recent of which is “Monument of Velocity”, which came out this past July. Miller is now presenting a music video for the track “The Obscurantist”, which is an intricate story full of suspense, twists, and turns. He comments on the album:

“With Monument of Velocity, I set out to push my creative limits by not relying on any preconceived notions and let each song unfold as its own entity. Which in turn actually created a stronger continuity between the tracks. By writing the majority of the album without a guitar in hand I was able to think outside the box and come up with more interesting melodies and more dynamic rhythms. This process allowed me to achieve a greater level of melodicism and generate a stronger emotional response.”

Miller started his solo project during the Covid lockdown as he wanted to release all the music he had written and wasn’t being played in the projects he was currently in. With “Monument of Velocity” he knew he wanted to make another instrumental album but also wanted to create something that pushed musical limits and was still fun to listen to. Along with the most recent release he has released a cover album this year and plans on releasing a tech death album with his new project Chasm of Discord and a re-recording of my first instrumental EP “MMXVII”.

A wide variety of influences can be heard throughout Matt Miller’s music, and it is recommended for fans of Necrophagist, Obscura, and Dragon Force.

The video for “The Obscurantist” can be seen and heard at https://youtu.be/5PJQpqLZSz4

“Monument of Velocity” was released on July 19, 2022 via Blood Blast Distribution (powered by Nuclear Blast and Believe Digital) and available on Spotify, Bandcamp, Apple Music.

About:
Akademia-Award-winning producer, engineer, and songwriter MATT MILLER side-steps these industry achievements to embark on something deeply introspective and personal; a transcendent, reactionary and vile personage embodying soaring progressive melodies and captivating crushing rhythms which engulf the listener in black clouds of desperation and shimmering hope.

Drawing upon the gut-wrenching timed-precision of European death metal stalwarts NECROPHAGIST and SPAWN OF POSSESSION, MATT MILLER progressively blends this approach with deep synthetic and symphonic atmospheres like that of DEVIN TOWNSEND, often arriving at surprisingly emotive and heart-clenching metallic passages like that of RIVERS OF NIHIL.

Calling upon other single-member death metal projects such as PUTRID PILE or INSIDIOUS DECREPANCY, the live performance can best be described as a reclaiming and repainting of the earth by a relentlessly sweeping and deranged berzerker appealing to the vast minions of the extreme music. The combination of elements within MATT MILLER distills the traditions of the international metal realm, the progressive atmospheres of modernity, and reactions to a vile world into a single unrelenting persona of despair and vengeance.

MATT MILLER’s first self-produced instrumental EP came in 2017, drawing on influences from classic metal bands such as MEGADETH and IRON MAIDEN to shredders like YNGWIE MALMSTEEN and PAUL GILBERT, while combining a technical death metal approach to create a maximum intensity music with a frenetic and frantic feel and ferocious atmosphere. Since then, and a few releases into this brief career, MATT MILLER boasts 12,000 consistent monthly listeners on Spotify before hitting the international touring circuit. This was garnered from his 2017 EP, the 2021 self-released ‘Decrepit Shed’ LP, the ‘Reekomposer/Decomposer’ covers double LP, as well as the ‘8E’s’ 1980’s themed covers LP.

In 2022 Matt released the formidable original instrumental LP Monument of Velocity on Blood Blast Distribution. Matt also toured supporting Rings of Saturn on the CYBER SHRED TOUR 2022. 29 shows encompassing the continental United States. Matt has released the cover LP Only What the Light Allows through Blood Blast Distribution as well.

Matt Miller hails from the rain soaked northern Oregon Coast; influenced by the natural foreboding environment. Moving into the present, MATT MILLER has joined up with Extreme Management Group to spread a singularly relentless auditory mind-bend.

Montreal’s ETERNAL CLOSURE Presents Lyric Video “Dimensions Apart”

New Album “At the Center of It All – Chapter I” Out Sept 2022 – Produced by Chris Donaldson (Cryptopsy)

L-R : Marine Lacarrière (guitar), Phil Lemelin (guitar), Olivier Boitel (guitar, back vocals), Katrine Castonguay (main vocals), Philippe Boitel (drums), Jonathan Lauzon (bass, back vocals)

Montreal’s Eternal Closure have a new album coming out in September and the third single they have ready for fans is “Dimensions Apart” in the form of a lyric video. Since their conception ten years ago, they have been constantly evolving – what started as a metalcore cover band has become a proggy, djenty powerhouse with deep gutturals, piercing cleans, and three guitarists that pummel the listener from all sides. The single is the first time the band utilizes 7-string guitars, lending to extra thickness and variety. Main songwriter and guitarist Olivier Boitel details the track:

“This one was mainly written by bassist Jonathan Lauzon, but had a bit of a different structure initially. It’s more-or-less the sequel to a song from our album “Screaming In Silence” called “Wake Up Dead”. It was also mixed with ideas he had for other songs that were never used. It’s a pretty straightforward banger, with me showcasing my grittier singing. I wrote and recorded the drums which was a lot of fun. Lyrically, it’s about the disconnect between generations that was created in part by technology.”

When it comes to Eternal Closure’s lyrics, Boitel speaks from the heart; they come from a personal place and are rarely about a fictionalized character. Compared to their other albums, there is less storytelling on “At The Centre Of It All – Chapter I”, it is all about how Boitel thinks and feels about different subjects. Presented in two parts, it’s not quite a concept album, but many lyrics and musical ideas are re-used throughout.

With the new addition of vocalist Katrine Castonguay, Eternal Closure is confident they will stand out, with a meaner sound that offers a satisfying listening experience for a wide range of metalheads not just those into core. They boast no filler, just six solid, headbanging tracks. They are recommended listening for fans of Currents, Trivium, and Periphery.

“Dimensions Apart” can be seen and heard via its premiere on NewFuryMedia HERE.

The full album “At The Centre Of It All – Chapter I” comes out on September 23, 2022.

0 Canadian Thrashers TRISKELYON Signs w/ Moribund Records For New Album “Downfall” Out Oct 2022

  • August 29, 2022
  • by Asher
  • · Music News · Triskelyon

NEWS RELEASE

Montreal, QC – August 29, 2022

Canadian Thrashers TRISKELYON Signs w/ Moribund Records For New Album “Downfall” Out October 2022

Canadian melodic power thrashers Triskelyon announces the release of their debut album “Downfall” for October 28th, 2022 via Washington state-based extreme metal label Moribund Records.

Founded by Geoff Waye, guitarist for Artach and Category VI, Triskelyon was conceived in late 2021 as a studio-only project. By January 2022, the band featuring contributions from vocalists Pete Healey and Marlee Ryley (Hyperia), along with drum programming by Raul Marques (Burning Torment) made their introduction to the metal world with a 3-track self-titled EP.

Composed and written mostly by Geoff Waye, with drum programming provided by Raul Marques, “Downfall” sees the band’s next evolution as their first full length and it utilizes a myriad of both male and female guest vocalists from Oberon, Hyperia, Catagory VI and Incidium. “Downfall” has a range and depth of sound unique in today’s modern thrash metal scene, setting the band ahead and apart from the hordes of young new acts. Triskelyon also features guest bass appearances from members of Afterforever and Category VI, making Triskelyon a veritable super group of the Canadian metal scene.

Depicting a nature taking over post-apocalyptic view on our ever-screwed-up world, Triskelyon keeps with 80’s thrash tradition employing world-ending yet self-empowering socially conscious lyrical themes. From straight-up 80’s thrashers like “Odyssey (Blessed by Steel)”, to the power metal laced “Find A Way”, and more anthemic thrash tracks such as “Hunger” and “Willful Ignorance”, “Downfall” is sure to satiate even the most discriminating old-school and modern thrash metal fan alike! The album even features a unique and thrashing rendition of the Billy Idol song “Nobody’s Business”.

Album was mixed/mastered by Michael Small with the post-apocalyptic cover art by IvaanMR11.

With “Downfall”, Triskelyon deliver an amazing headbanging album that harkens back to the old-school days of such luminaries as Forbidden, Agent Steel, Sentinel Beast, Détente, Overkill, and Testament.

Pre-orders for Triskelyon‘s debut album “Downfall” are available at the following links:

“The three songs have the rage, heaviness and some rawness you expect from thrash, but also the melody and speed you’ll find in the more aggressive and harsher forms of power metal (no flowery stuff here, people). Pete’s vocals definitely are more of the aggressive heavy/power metal variety while Marlee shakes the hell out of the speakers with a more aggressive and harsher, yet high-pitched style.” – The Metal Crypt

“This is the kind of band that really plays that pure, raw, seething thrash metal that I love.” – Wings of Death

“Classic heavy thrash, catchy quick stuff with big screamy vox! Great stuff!” – WORT 89.9FM – Mosh Pit Radio – Madison, WI

“The EP thunders around the listener’s ears with a massive, powerful sound and gripping guitar riffs, but is also arranged with great attention to detail. Geoff Waye also acts as lead guitarist in the melodic as well as brute playing with pinpoint accuracy… Thrash fans who expect more than just head banging should remember the name TRISKELYON.” – PowerMetal.de

“What does Melodic Thrash sound like? Well in the eyes (and ears) of Geoff Waye it sounds like Thrash with influences of Traditional Metal, so you have plenty of heavy chugging Thrash riffs, separated by Traditional Metal bridges and big choruses. Opening cut “Hunger” sounds like a classic Anthrax cut from the “Spreading The Disease” era, with Iron Maiden influences all over it and Pete Healey’s higher pitched vocals only enhancing that nostalgic feel.” – Metal Noise

Canada’s Whispers In The Maze are debuting their creepy-crawly new video for the single “Poisoning Imagination”, a visual representation of the song’s main theme, anxiety. The song is presented from the view of anxiety itself, personified as some kind of imaginary enemy. The music is a mix of classic and modern melodic death supported by melodic fretless bass lines and a layer of extreme vocals overlapping death and black metal territories. Rhythmically, the song alternates between blistering verses and groovy choruses and transitions. The band explains further:

“This song is about a losing battle against anxiety. The song’s title reflects this idea of self-inflicted harm. It’s probably our most energetic starting song, and we especially like that the vocals start right away. The album contains some of the old songs we have not recorded before, as well as a new song that was written by the current lineup. It shows the evolution of our sound and the diversity of our musical input. After a long break of live shows, even a period of no rehearsals due to the pandemic, we are thrilled to come back with something to share with our fans, both old and new.”

“Poisoning Imagination” is off the band’s recently released EP “Stories Untold: Chapter 1”. All of the four tracks have their own vibe, but work together as a whole. The band hopes people will hear parts that speak to them as a listener and get taken away by the melodies, guitar harmonies, breakdowns, tempo, rhythmic shifts, and of course, their own voices.

In comparison to their first album “Threads Unbind” (2019), fans will notice the new layer of melody that comes with having two vocalists, a natural progression that the band is excited to be incorporating. As implied in the title, the EP is mostly a collection of older songs written by previous lineups of Whispers In The Maze. “Stories Untold: Chapter 1” is a melodic death metal record with an emphasis on melodies, elements of black and doom sprinkled here and there, and two vocalists bringing a range of different vocal styles.

Melodic with an emphasis on rhythm, textures, and a mix of influences, “Poisoning Imagination” is recommended listening for fans of At The Gates, Arch Enemy, and Amon Amarth.

About:
A metal band without borders, Whispers In The Maze gathers its members from all around the world, bringing together as one a myriad of musical influences and creative vision. Their guitars work together to create a lush harmonic soundscape, held up by the melodic rhythm and fretless leads of the bass, all tied together by the precision and groove of the drums. This unique melodic, rhythmic, and progressive blend is the canvas on which the brutal vocals paint images of war, rebellion, hopelessness, and death.

Recently releasing their EP “Stories Untold : Chapter 1, with lots of shows on the horizon, they will only continue to create, evolve and conquer, with no plans to slow down. The maze is ever-growing. Lose yourself. Follow the whispers.

We wanted to make a song to get fans pumped as if they are walking down a ramp and into a wrestling ring while their opponent is waiting to be squashed in 5 minutes.” adds guitarist Joey Sia.

Written by the Sia brothers Chris (drums) and Joey (guitar), the track is about sleep paralysis as they explain further:

“For Night Hag we really wanted a song that a lot of people could relate to, sleep paralysis! The pure terror and helplessness you feel when you experience it, even if you know you’re just in a dream state, it’s still a pretty messed up thing to experience. Part of it also came from the Batman villain Scarecrow who uses his fear toxin to cause involuntary hallucinations based on the victim’s worst fears. Musically, Night Hag has a simple structure in its composition. The song has a catchy riff throughout the whole time while the drums change the dynamics throughout the song. I think people can bang their heads off listening to Night Hag!”

The new single “Night Hag” follows the band’s most recent album “Torrent of Illusion“ released on June 1st of this year. A gritty and powerful crossover experience, the band expects an enthusiastic reception from their fans due to its intensity, and also its relatability. The album and the new stand-alone single “Night Hag” pack many punches, as their music deals with intense lyrical themes surrounding mental health and rounds itself out with aggressive hard-hitting instrumentals.

Split Image combines a unique sound that boasts familiarity from their mash-up of genres of thrash, punk, crust, and a solid nod to old-school hardcore. They are recommended for fans of Power Trip, Enforced, and Dead Heat.

NEWS RELEASE

Montreal, QC – August 26, 2022

Out Now! Rockshots Records – ANTHEA’s New Album “Tales Untold” + Music Video “Song for Winter”

Los Angeles-based symphonic prog metallers ANTHEA have released their new album “Tales Untold”, now available as of August 26th via Rockshots Records. To celebrate the sophomore full-length’s release day, the band is sharing their new music video for the track “Song for Winter”.

“This song celebrates the beauty of nature, particularly in the wintertime. This one was written while things were feeling very grim due to the virus, so we wanted to do something that would give a sense of calmness and escapism. The goal was to musically capture that feeling of resting by the fireplace, drinking a nice warm cup of tea while looking out the window to see a beautiful winter landscape.” adds the band.

The music video for “Song for Winter” can be seen and heard at https://youtu.be/6u7880xRLEo

ANTHEA’s new album “Tales Untold” follows their 2020 debut “Illusion”. An epic symphonic/melodic metal journey, with varying dynamics, “Tales Untold” will make new and old fans alike feel as if they’ve gone through a grand cinematic and poetic experience. For its recording, Anthea took the reigns to a more DIY approach with vocalist Diego Valadez taking over as the album’s producer along with bassist Eric “EJ” Guerrero in charge of the band’s music videos and photography.

“The difference with this next record is that Anthea has a more mature sound and we have carefully thought out the ebb and flow throughout it. Our end goal is to give a very dynamic and cinematic album in which the listener feels as though they’ve gone through a grand musical journey once they’ve reached the end.” says the band.

Anthea is a melodic, symphonic metal band from Los Angeles, CA. With influences from bands like Nightwish, Kamelot, and Wintersun, as well as scores from composers such as Hans Zimmer, John Williams, and Danny Elfman, the band create a unique theatrical sound blending progressive, power, and thrash metal elements, with a grand, cinematic edge.

About: Anthea is a melodic, symphonic metal band from Los Angeles, CA.

The band released some demo songs as singles which quickly began gaining attention in the local metal scene. Anthea began playing more live shows around Los Angeles, opening for various bands including Smile Empty Soul, Helion Prime, September Mourning, and many more.

In late 2019, Anthea announced that they would be entering the studio to re-record their singles as well as some new material for an official EP that would be titled “Illusion.” It wasn’t long before the group was contacted by Rockshots Records. The label suggested that instead of releasing an EP, the band should consider recording a full-length debut album. If they did so, Rockshots would release the record under their label. Anthea agreed and began working on more material.

Illusion, the debut album from Anthea was released on October 23rd, 2020 under Rockshots Records. The album has received many positive reviews from several magazines, blogs, and podcasts. The three singles “Moirai”, “Illusion”, and “Reach”, have all gone on to receive international play on various rock and metal radio stations.

The band returns in 2022 with their second album “Tales Untold” due out in August 2022.

“A long-term, melodic debut album, with excellent musical combinations, there are different tempos that can be heard as Thrash metal briefly, they have a strong combination that goes from Symphonic Metal to Power Metal and vice versa, at the beginning they start very Power Metal and end very Symphonic Metal, that gives variety to the album!” (90/100) – Darkzen Dragon (Illusion review – 2020)

Montreal, QC – August 25, 2022

Streaming Now! Calgary’s SYRYN’s New Album “Heads or Tails” Tells Epic Tales of Mermaids, Sailors, and Pirates!

New Album “Heads or Tails” Out Aug 26th

Ft. Album Guests Amanda Kiernan (ex-The Order of Chaos, ex-Into Eternity),
Craig Carswell (Producer, Singer /Songwriter, Dorians Mirror, Court of Cardinals)

It’s story time with Calgary, Canada’s Syryn, and their new album “Heads or Tails”, an epic record to take you on the high seas with mermaids, sailors, and pirates. The album officially releases on August 26th and before it does, the band is streaming it in full via MetalInsider HERE.

The band adds:

“This album was a blast to write! We’ve been holding on to these riffs for a long while, and hopefully, the anticipation is exactly what our fans were waiting for. We’ve got a mix of thrash, rock, metal, and ballads on this one. We are extremely proud of this album from all angles. The songwriting, lyrics, art, and production quality show the effort we put in. It’s something we know we’ll be proud of in the years to come.”

Syryn‘s sophomore album “Heads or Tails”, is a record full of growth, diversity, and a much more collaborative effort as a whole compared to the band’s debut full-length “Beyond the Depths” along with co-writing with guest vocalists Amanda Kiernan (ex-The Order of Chaos, ex-Into Eternity) and Craig Carswell (Producer, Singer /Songwriter, Dorians Mirror, Court of Cardinals). “Head or Tails” is more a themed album branching out into the Pirate/Sailor’s perspective and beyond. The band wanted to continue on the storytelling of a Siren’s journey, touching on as many aspects of it as they could fit onto the record (including the many emotions we go through in everyday life: Love, fear, anger, happiness, sadness, regret, etc.). Syryn also wanted to shake things up and create something a bit out of their regular musical realm, no two songs are alike and that makes the band more difficult to categorize. They try to incorporate all their influences into their own sound with a wide array of styles to adhere to many people’s tastes.

Canada’s Eaten By Sharks has been lying in wait to release their new album “Eradication” and the time has come for it to ascend to the surface. Album-wise, it’s a diverse combination of songs pulling from their influences in death, tech, and thrash metal. Each song has something different from the next one but it stays in line with the metal. The band comments about the record:

“We are so excited to set sail with the release of “Eradication!” The fact that it is being released and streaming have us stoked that our hard work gets the sendoff it deserves. We pull from various elements of thrash, Death-core, Traditional Death Metal, Tech-metal, and Hardcore and match that up with the horrors of the deep. Each of the songs on the EP has a different approach to our influences, however, it retains a solid instrumental and lyrical theme throughout the tracks. Conceptually, we keep things on the water and embrace the image of the fear and respect that comes from the breach of a single dorsal fin.”

“Eradication” toes the line of music and concept, metal meets shark. The album delivers seven tracks, lyrically depicting the horrors of mankind using oceanic imagery. Eaten By Sharks puts their best fin forward, pulling out all the stops to get the listener to drop anchor and experience the package as a whole. Lots of tasty treats await the discerning metal fan through their instrumental approach, as they progressively chomp through each song with razor-sharp riffs and bone-crunching rhythms.

“Eradication” was produced, mixed, and mastered by Christian Donaldson (Cryptopsy) and the album artwork was done by Shindy Design. Eaten By Sharks is recommended for anyone brave enough to dive headfirst into the horror as well as fans of Gojira, Despised Icon, and Fit For An Autopsy.

“If you’re new to the group, they’re from Ontario, and like the majority of Canadian tech-death bands, they’re damn good at what they do. Don’t let the goofy band name and oddball cover art fool you, this is not amateur hour stuff… As for what the song has to offer, “Depth Charge” is built on continual flipping back and forth between heavy groove terrain and frenetic riffs aided by ripping leads. In doing so, the song feels almost wave-like in its structure, an ever-changing stream of back and forth battling going on underwater. From the time I’ve spent listening to the full release, this is definitely an album many of you will enjoy.” – Metal Injection

“These guys are all business, and put together a pretty compelling, often crushing effort ” – Metal Rules

“Shit, did they put on a solid show and constantly required crowd interaction. They seamlessly blended classic and modern death metal with some technical flare here and there. I was thoroughly impressed with this awesome band, and can only add another solid band to the ever-growing laundry list of opening bands that may or may hit hit the spot…..and Eaten By Sharks fucking shredded!” – Technical Music Review (Live Review – Eaten By Sharks Opening for First Fragment – St. Catharines, ON -12-2-18)

“They groove a ton, with some sweet guitar licks for good measure to keep your ears engaged. They’re a mix of classic and new death metal, and just as ferocious.” – Technical Music Review

0 DEFORMATORY Shares Making of Video For New EP “Harbinger” Produced By Topon Das (F*ck The Facts); “Harbinger” Due Out Sept 13th

Montreal, QC – August 24, 2022

DEFORMATORY Shares Making of Video For New EP “Harbinger” Produced By Topon Das (F*ck The Facts)

“Harbinger” Due Out Sept 13th

From their destructive 2013 debut “In The Wake of Pestilence”, on through to their crushing 2016 follow-up “Malediction” and into the vortex of insanity from their 2021 masterpiece “Inversion of the Unseen Horizon”, Deformatory unrelentingly summon their creative darkness to deliver another slab of ferocious Canadian death metal. Without acquiescing to the weakness of modern metal, they reach deep into the abyss of infernal intensity to deliver a new offering of blistering madness entitled “Harbinger”.

For Deformatory, all audio and visual content is carefully crafted with the utmost care, ensuring that listeners are given only the best experience, a punishing onslaught of riffs, devastating vocals, and chest-pounding drums – all delivered with no frills, no bullshit, just pure death metal. The production was handled by Topon Das of F*ck The Facts at his studio Apartment 2 Recording in Ottawa, ON, which the band explains in further detail:

“Das impeccably captured the essence and intensity of Deformatory’s vision. Every nuance has been brought to light, mixed, and mastered without sacrificing integrity in order to fit into the modern standards of extreme music. All instruments are real fucking instruments and each can be discerned without the overproduced wall of plugins and tone packs we have unfortunately grown accustomed to hearing today. There is an eerie atmosphere that lurks throughout this EP and it can be heard clearly through every string, growl, and cymbal.”

Deformatory keeps it simple and traditional, their writing process is organic, with no click tracks or guitar pro files – they just jam until a sickening track reveals itself. Sometimes it just takes an hour or two for them to discover a sound that will demolish the room and melt faces, they are already 4 songs deep into the next album, so fans can expect a new record sooner than they would hope for.

A sonically relentless death metal experience, Deformatory is worthy listening for those whom enjoy Angelcorpse, Vitriol, and old Cryptopsy.

The short video on the making of “Harbinger” is available on YouTube at https://youtu.be/PNHY9haU05

“Harbinger” is being released on September 13, 2022.

“A maniacal riff-fest colliding with pulverizing drumming and grotesquely executed vocals, Impaled Upon The Carrionspire is a memorable journey into a modern death metal portal of chaos. This is beyond a brutal wall of sound; it’s an experience that hooks you in, and guides you through everything you can expect to hear on the new album.” – Metal Injection

“Taking cues from the tech-est and brutal-est of brutal technical death metal, the duo from Canada’s capital have offered up a shining gut punch that sings, screams, wallops, growls and races in the same vein as genre masterclass mainstays as Immolation, Suffocation, Cryptopsy, Morbid Angel, Hate Eternal and Origin. Plus, their name fucking rules!” – Decibel Magazine

“Brutally punchy and laced with annihilating streaks of black metal, cosmic machinations are put into bone-snapping focus through the band’s unrelenting technical death metal.” – Invisible Oranges

“Let’s cut to the chase: Imagine filling a syringe with unadulterated adrenaline, sticking it straight into your carotid artery, and jamming the plunger down with as much force as you can muster. That’s the effect of listening to DEFORMATORY… The whole thing is breathtaking in its careening and cavorting violence.” – No Clean Singing
