Reborn with a revitalized lineup and a powerful new voice, Quebec’s modern metal force Nova Spei is proud to announce the release of their long-awaited third full-length album, “Trinitas,” available now as of November 6, 2026 via Bam & Co. Heavy. Marking a new era for the Quebec metallers, the album arrives alongside an extensive run of Quebec tour dates that will see the band bring its renewed energy and explosive live show to audiences across the province throughout November and December (dates listed below).

For founding guitarist and principal songwriter Dany Soucy (guitar), “Trinitas” represents far more than the next entry in Nova Spei‘s discography. It is the culmination of years of perseverance, reinvention, and a determination to emerge stronger following lineup changes that challenged the band’s future.

“Writing Trinitas was both a challenge and a burden. There was the fear of not being able to compose an album that would do justice to its predecessor. The departure of the previous lead singer had a significant emotional impact, and having to rebuild a new dynamic was somewhat daunting. In the end, it was the change Nova Spei needed to get back on its feet and move forward into another chapter of its life,” explains Soucy.

That rebirth can be heard immediately throughout “Trinitas”. Building upon the modern metal foundation of 2021’s “Sequentis”, the album introduces a more organic and groove-driven approach while simultaneously embracing greater aggression. A key element in that evolution is the arrival of Emmanuelle Desbiens-Dubois (vocals), whose commanding vocal performance adds a new dimension to Nova Spei‘s sound.

“We’ve realized what we’ve always wanted in the past, preserving our identity while adding a touch of aggression. Choosing a female voice for the lead vocals has significantly boosted the intensity we were aiming for,” says Soucy.

Produced and mixed by renowned Quebec metal producer Francis Perron (Voivod, Martyr), “Trinitas” captures a rawer and more energetic sound than its predecessors. Influenced by modern metal, metalcore, industrial rock, and progressive metal, the record balances technical precision with memorable grooves and immediate songwriting.

Originally conceived as a stylistic continuation of “Sequentis,” the album took on a new life during the recording process.

“For Trinitas, we wanted a follow-up in the style of Sequentis. However, as we worked with Francis Perron, the focus shifted toward a much more organic approach, prioritizing groove simplicity to hook the listener more easily despite the overall aggression,”
explains Soucy.

Lyrically, “Trinitas” explores deeply personal and socially conscious themes. Throughout its thirteen tracks, the album tackles addiction, betrayal, depression, manipulation, trauma, Indigenous experiences, resilience, and personal rebirth. From the rallying cry of “Renaissance”, chronicling the band’s own struggles and comeback, to the emotionally charged “M’entends-tu!?”, the Indigenous-focused “Déraciné”, and the crushing, groove-driven single “Enterré Vivant,” the record offers one of Nova Spei‘s most diverse and impactful lyrical journeys to date.

The album also includes the instrumental composition “Résonance,” a deeply personal track exploring the lasting impact of loss, as well as the closing piece “Draps Blancs,” which examines the fragility of life through the story of a routine medical procedure ending in tragedy.

Adding to the significance of the release, “Trinitas” is the first Nova Spei album recorded in a professional studio after the band’s previous two records were produced in-house. The album was later mastered by acclaimed engineer Maor Appelbaum, whose credits include work with Faith No More and Yes.

Formed in 2012 by Dany Soucy, Nova Spei has become one of Quebec’s most persistent French-language metal acts. Since debuting as direct support for Anonymus on their 2017 Quebec tour, the band has performed more than 100 shows throughout Quebec and Ontario while sharing stages with many of the province’s notable metal acts. Their music has also reached wider audiences through placements during Montreal Canadiens games at the Bell Centre and regular radio support across Quebec.

Now featuring Emmanuelle Desbiens-Dubois (vocals), Dany Soucy (guitar), Nicolas Dumais (bass), Julien De Carufel (drums), and Cédrick Charland (lead guitar), Nova Spei enters its next chapter revitalized and ready to bring “Trinitas” to audiences throughout Quebec.

Recommended for fans of Gojira, Tesseract, Killswitch Engage, Spiritbox, and Architects, “Trinitas” is available as of November 6, 2026, via Bam & Co. Heavy.

“All in all, Trinitas is a real success that I wholeheartedly recommend to metal fans, even those who rarely listen to French-language bands. And if you have the chance to see Nova Spei live, go for it. It’s well worth it!’ – Metal Universe

“The major new development comes behind the microphone with the arrival of Emmanuelle Desbiens-Dubois. Her vocal versatility allows the band to operate on two levels: a gritty, at times abrasive delivery, but also much more melodic and velvety passages. This duality between female and male vocals has become the new signature of Nova Spei. It’s a choice that adds an extra dimension to the compositions and could appeal to fans of Spiritbox or the new incarnation of Linkin Park. Emmanuelle doesn’t simply add a female voice to the mix; she genuinely transforms the band’s dynamic.” – Ars Media QC

“What it means here is suffocation. Enterré Vivant — buried alive — began as a reflection on watching someone close struggle with illness, on being locked inside a situation you refuse but cannot leave, and the band pushed the metaphor until it turned literal. The song moves on a lurching, mechanical guitar figure with more than a little Fear Factory in its DNA, all industrial edges and deliberate repetition, and the rhythm section plays into the downstroke rather than around it. The lyrics were written collectively, and it shows: the phrasing has the clipped urgency of five people arguing their way toward the same conclusion. The real news is the voice sitting on top of it. Emmanuelle Desbiens-Dubois joined in 2025 alongside lead guitarist Cédrick Charland, and her arrival rewires the architecture rather than just the paint. Nova Spei spent two albums as a French-language groove-metal band with a male vocalist out front; this is not a cosmetic swap. She sits further forward in the mix than her predecessor and moves between a clean upper register and a full-throated scream inside single phrases, which finally gives the band the dynamic range its riffs have always implied.” – See Rock Live Mag

“Nova Spei enters a powerful new era with this groove-driven, hard-hitting release. Trapped in a situation you refuse to accept but cannot escape? It’s a theme that will resonate with anyone who has lived through it or watched someone close endure the same struggle, making this track an easy connection point for listeners in 2026. Emmanuelle’s arrival truly brings a new visceral intensity to the band. I can’t wait to hear the entirety of Trinitas.” – Ondes Chocs

“Ultimately, that’s what I appreciated about Trinitas. The concept is present, but the album doesn’t rely solely on it. There are hard-hitting riffs, solid rhythms, several genuinely compelling shifts in atmosphere, and, above all, that vocal combination that gives this new incarnation of the band its own distinct character. After the lineup changes and challenges Nova Spei has faced, the band could have easily returned by simply picking up where it left off. Instead, Trinitas feels like the work of a band determined to move forward. And sometimes, coming back stronger begins with accepting that you won’t return exactly as you were before.” – Eloquence Art
