Orlando, Florida’s MEKA NISM’s sound is powerful, metallic, aggressive, melodic, and in your face. A band that fires on all cylinders and with the most charismatic front-woman “Meka”; the band returns in 2018 with their new EP “The War Inside” on May 10th to follow their three previous releases “Live From The Machine Shop” (Live CD) (2016), “The Shift” (EP) (2015) and “The Dance At The End of The World” (EP) (2013). Preparing for the release of “The War Inside”, MEKA NISM have teamed up with Idobi Radio to offer fans the first listen of the EP’s full stream.The band comments:

“We are extremely excited to release our new EP “The War Inside” to the world today. It has been an amazing journey so far and the response has been mind-blowing. This is an opportunity, not only for us to release new music, but to release new music with a purpose. Inspired by Metallica, Joan Jett, Iron Maiden, Slayer, and Ghost, MEKA NISM’s sound is powerful, metallic, aggressive, melodic, and in your face.  They are a band that fires on all cylinders and with the most charismatic front-woman “Meka”; they have supported legends like Mastodon, Gojira, The Offspring, Limp Bizkit, Otep and In Flames. Preparing for the release of their new EP “The War Inside” on May 11th, the Orlando based band announces they will be performing a series of Florida show dates in May and June, which includes being local opening support for Jonathan Davis (Korn) plus hosting a local EP listening party at Park Ave CDs. “The War Inside” follows their three previous releases “Live From The Machine Shop” (Live CD) (2016), “The Shift” (EP) (2015) and “The Dance At The End of The World” (EP) (2013).MEKA NISM have also unleashed two singles off the EP, “Trailblazer” and the title track. Both songs inspire messages of battling both internal and external demons with a positive choice and knowing you can persevere when times feel like they have no escape.

The Cambridge English Dictionary defines mechanism as ‘a mechanical contrivance; structure of a machine.’ Well, that dictionary will soon need a new entry, which reads ‘Meka Nism: totally uncontrived, a new structure of metal music’. Originally formed in 2006 under the steampunk-sounding name of Meka Nism and the Rusty Years; the band, now known as the more streamlined MEKA NISM, has mutated into the awesome future-forming metallic behemoth it is now. Featuring a band firing on all cylinders and the most charismatic front-woman, MEKA NISM have supported legends like Mastodon, Gojira, The Offspring, Limp Bizkit, Otep and In Flames. The video portrays an internal struggle from lead singer Ms. Meka, as she confronts her inner demons and finds a way out!”

Out Now! Symphonic Hard Rock HEART AVAIL Release Self-Titled EP via Milagro Records

      What first began as an online correspondence in 2008 between guitarist Greg Hanson and vocalist Aleisha Simpson has lead to the inception of symphonic hard rockers HEART AVAIL. Joined by Mick Barnes on bass and Seamus Gleason on drums, the Spokane, WA based band is proud to release their debut self titled EP via Milagro Records, out now as of December 9th.

‘I am really excited about our new EP. I feel like we really put our heart and soul into every song and hope that our listeners feel the same way. Every song is unique and different in its own way and really shows off what the band is capable of. I think our fans won’t be disappointed in what they hear!” comments vocalist Aleisha Simpson.

The five track release is inspired by the loss of loved ones and written essentially as a therapy session with painful lyrics to relate to those with similar experiences. The band’s influences like Evanescence, Nightwish and Within Temptation are heard in each aspect of the music from the vocals to the drums.

About:

Heart Avail is a Spokane, WA based band writing emotional hard rock lending their strength to fans through their deep lyrics and catchy guitar riffs. In 2008, Greg Hanson (guitar) was writing symphonic metal while Aleisha Simpson (vocals) was honing her skills with her acoustic guitar and powerful voice. Their fated meeting occurred online and the pair worked together in perfect unison to create something haunting and new. The group is a culmination of all the best musicians from Aleisha’s past including Mick Barnes on bass and Seamus Gleason on drums.

During the writing process Greg composes guitar melodies for each song and then Aleisha listens for hours to hear the tale that each song has to tell her. Once she can hear the meaning, she can then transcribe it into lyrics and Mick and Seamus can write their parts to complete each track. The band’s influences like Evanescence, Nightwish, and Within Temptation are heard in each aspect of the music from the vocals to the drums.

Their self titled EP is inspired by the loss of loved ones and the release is essentially a therapy session with painful lyrics to relate to those with similar experiences. The EP is slated to be released on December 9, 2016 with distribution by Milagro Records..

Fun Fact: In 2016, Heart Avail performed live at the famed Sundance Film Festival in addition to NAIRMA’s Road to the Red Carpet event.
