“The concept of Killing Demons is that everyone has some kind of demon. Money, Drugs, Sex, Power. They can all be a demon if you let them. Cyber Spy, talks about how much we let government into our private lives. Black Heart, is about those evil women that take you down. About:

Angel Black was formed in 2013. The band got together with one thing in mind, to write powerful riffs with a classic metal feel. The band’s influences are steeped with the legends of heavy metal. From the opening riff of “Cyber Spy”, the first song the band wrote together. One thing was certain you don’t hear this type of metal, played with conviction, precision, and fire often.

Angel Black plays from the heart, forging their own brand of Heavy Metal. No Gimmicks, No Fads and No Fear of what they face in the ever-changing music industry. Their debut record is titled Angel Black “Killing Demons”. The title is fitting to all, we’re all fight something every day of our life.

The record was “Mastered” by well known Mastering Wiz, Nathan James at Vault Mastering. Nathan has Mastered many of the “hits” you hear every day on the radio. Nathan is well known and respected from his days as a mastering engineer at the World Famous Hit Factory in NYC.

The band has also written and recorded the song “Killing Me”. The song has been submitted to an upcoming movie under the guidance of the “legendary” Guitarist Freddie Salem, a one-time member of what was known as the Guitar Army, “The Outlaw’s”.

This past November, American power metal warriors LORDS OF THE TRIDENT unleashed their 7th studio album “Shadows From The Past”, which they will be touring this January with A Sound of Thunder in support of (dates listed below). While promoting their latest album, LORDS OF THE TRIDENT also launched a Patreon campaign to give fans more exclusive content. “Acoustic …metal? You wouldn’t think it would be a thing, but here we are! The first time we tried playing our songs on acoustic guitars, they instantly burst into flames. Some experimentation was needed before we were able to successfully record. We tried fastening plate metal to the backs of the guitars, and even went so far as to completely coat a guitar in liquid steel. Limited Edition Blood Red Vinyl For New Album ‘Shadows From The Past”

Currently, it’s trendy for many indie and underground bands to release their music on dead media like cassettes, but Lords of The Trident has taken it one step further. Their latest video for the song “Chasing Shadows” off of their latest album “Shadows From The Past” is being released exclusively as a game that actually works on the SEGA CD console.

The video game console, popular from 1991 – 1996 has been out of production for nearly 20 years, but that doesn’t stop vocalist Fang VonWrathenstein from collecting Sega CD games and memorabilia. As luck would have it, one of the producers from Digital Pictures – a company responsible for the production of a number of Full Motion Video (FMV) games – is a huge fan of Lords of The Trident. After numerous talks, he was able to recruit some of his former Digital Pictures colleagues and the idea to craft the game was set in motion.

The band and the crew worked in secret for numerous months to create a “Make My Music Video” game for the system. These types of games were also created for Kris Kross, Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch, and INXS. Much of the backbone for previous Digital Pictures games (such as the controversial hit “Night Trap”) was used to create the game. “The real trick was making the console display widescreen,” Tom Zito the executive producer writes. “The old games were used to a smaller, non-widescreen display, so a lot of that had to be written from the ground up.”

To add to its exclusivity, only five official copies were ever created, and the music video can only be seen by playing the game, or by watching various playthroughs online. One copy of the game went to Pennsylvania-based YouTube gaming channel Halberd, run by the power metal vocalist Lee Prisby of the band Klaymore (and his video game channel Halberd). Another went to Ryan Schremp, a personal friend of the band and owner of the popular blog Topless Robot. A third copy made its way to long-time friends of the band, Guys Games and Beer.

The Lords of The Trident have also posted their own playthrough video, demonstrating the game achieving a perfect 100% score. On the SEGA CD version there are a number of different levels of playthroughs available that correspond to other previously-published Lords of The Trident music videos, but as of yet, no channels have posted them.

“It’s a dream come true for us (me, specifically) to have our very own Sega CD game. I’d like to thank Tom Zito and the rest of the guys at Digital Pictures for pursuing this crazy idea of ours. I can tell you I’ve already played the crap out of this game, and although we can’t make more copies for wider release, at the very least you can watch our 100%ed playthrough online!” says vocalist Fang VonWrathenstein.

Since climbing out of a volcano in 2008, shrouded in metal and ash, Lords of the Trident have gone to battle on many stages across the USA, playing and headlining a plethora of festivals and have an admirable arsenal of recordings in their inventory. BIO:Dire Peril was an idea that goes as far back as Jason Ashcraft’s (guitars, bass) high school years. The band’s name was inspired by a PC game he used to play, called “Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodline”, which has stuck with him ever since.

Originally formed in 2009, the band went on to create three EPs: Astronomical Minds, Queen of the Galaxy and Through Time and Space, and proceeded to play a handful of local shows, as well as a few out of town gigs. In 2015, feeling like things just weren’t as they should be, Ashcraft decided to take a step back and take a hard look at where the band was headed.

Inspired by all manner of science fiction, especially classic sci-fi movies, Dire Peril regrouped as a double piece; Ashcraft was joined by singer John Yelland, and together they began working on the debut album titled “The Extraterrestrial Compendium,” set for release on November 9, 2018. Recruiting a live line up enabled them to start playing live shows including an upcoming North American tour with Seven Kingdoms allowing the American sci-fi power metal band to reach its final form and share their dark, aggressive adventure with the masses.

A true spectacle to be witnessed, LORDS OF THE TRIDENT is a daring adventure metal quintet that has been delighting their audiences and fans all over the world for ten years. Continuing their epic quest of bringing spectacular and entertaining metal to global fans these power metal warriors unleashed their 7th album “Shadows From The Past” on August 3rd, 2018. The album was supported by a kickstarter campaign that went live on June 1st and ended on June 29th. During that month, the band’s fans helped them surpass their goals to raise over $11,000 for the release. Champions in blending classic heavy metal, hard rock, and 80’s hair metal, Canadian shredders STRIKER‘s sixth studio album “Play To Win” features 10 fist pounding shredtacular anthems produced by the band plus mixed and mastered by Hendrik Udd (Firewind, Powerwolf, Hammerfall, Delain). The album follows their 2017 self-titled full length that the band supported with tours across Europe and North America with Sonata Arctica, Dark Tranquility, and Warbringer along with festival appearances at 70,000 Tons of Metal, Bang Your Head Festival (Germany) and more to add to their almost 1000 shows performed in their decade plus career. That fifth studio album also garnered them a nomination from Canada’s JUNO awards, the country’s highest music prize, along with wins at the Edmonton Music Awards and Western Canadian Awards.

Edmonton’s STRIKER have pulled off a hat trick at the Western Canadian Music Awards winning Metal/Hard Music Artist of the Year for their third time in a row. The awards were held in Kelowna, BC on October 11th during the BreakoutWest Festival & Conference. The band found about their award win while wrapping up the end of their North American tour with Unleash The Archers and Helion Prime this past week.

Guitarist Tim Brown was delighted by the news and had this to say;
