Crawling Manifest Announce Politically Charged Album “Radical Absolution” + Lyric Video For “World War III”

New Album “Radical Absolution” Out May 14th

Maryland’s Crawling Manifest are releasing a new album “Radical Absolution”, which will be their first as a duo featuring Andrew Gladu (Vocals/Bass/Drums) and Trevor Layton (Guitars). This change came from many lineup changes and a desire to move forward seamlessly in a more thrash direction. Musically, this album is their modern take on their favorite types of thrash metal, and they blend them seamlessly together to create something original. They explain further:

“We think that this album is like a new beginning for us. We went through a period of rebranding last year and came up with the new sound, such as on our new single “World War III”, and we couldn’t be happier with the outcome of this. I think that fans will share that same thought and look forward to more from us in the future.”

Along with this album announcement they are also presenting a lyric video for the single “World War III”, the first song that was written for the record. The main riff came quickly to the duo and they immediately started fleshing it out. Lyrically, this song is a straight-up “f* you” to billionaires. People are exploited every day by people who just reap the benefits of the working class’ labor, so the only thing left to say there is, “Eat the F*ing Rich.”

The aggressive, hard-hitting combination of riffs is topped with equally aggressive and fast, piercing solos; “Radical Absolution” has all the trademarks of thrash metal and is recommended for fans of Lamb of God, Megadeth, and Power Trip.

The lyric video for “World War III” can be heard and viewed on YouTube – https://youtu.be/mR1YdGGrDw4

Single download and stream at Crawlingmanifest.bandcamp.com, Spotify, Apple Music.

“Radical Absolution” is out on May 14, 2021.

About:
Crawling Manifest was formed in 2014 on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, USA. The thrash metal band incorporates elements from death metal, modern metal and core.

After multiple line-up changes, live shows, and tours, playing alongside bands such as Fleshgod Apocalypse, Soulfly, Soilwork, Carach Angren and Kataklysm, remaining members Andrew Gladu and Trevor Layton made the decision to write new music taking influence from the bands they grew up listening to and combining a love of death and thrash metal into a powerful new sound.

It starts off with a beer, which turns into a riff and it just goes from there; Gladu and Layton work closely together on all aspects of the writing process, save for when they veer off to pay specific attention to lyrics and vocals.

So far, Crawling Manifest has released two EPs “Forevermore” (2016) and “Lords of War” (2019), and the full-length “Battlegrounds” (2016). In 2021, they will release a second full-length, the politically charged “Radical Absolution” on May 14th.

New Album “Future Shock” Out April 16, 2021

San Diego’s MONARCH are declaring “Nuclear Warfare” with their new thrashing music video in support of their upcoming sophomore album “Future Shock” due out April 16th.

The video is a slamming assault, showcasing the Wacken Metal Battle USA champions‘ loud speedball riffs till the very end. The track was originally written by vocalist/guitarist Matt Smith as an assignment for a composition course while earning his Associate of Arts in Classical Music Degree. It’s a full circle Metal-education!

The video can be viewed via its premiere on MetalInsider HERE.

Compared to their first, very DIY album, 2017’s “Go Forth… Slaughter”, MONARCH‘s next escapade “Future Shock” was done professionally at Clarity Recordings in El Cajon, California, and is a big step forward for the band both musically and sonically. It explores the entire spectrum of the band’s creativity, with each song varying in sound, but maintains a cohesive feeling. The band comments on the album:

“We’re all just super excited to get this album out to everyone because I think everyone right now needs something new to get excited about. At the time of this release, the world is still under quarantine from the COVID-19 virus in parts of the world and we think it will be a welcome escape from having to worry so much right now. We should all be cautious of course, but we can’t make our lives not worth living. This album really inspires us to write even better and we’re still amazed at how it came out. We look forward to hearing its response by fans and getting to play it live and loud again.”

Hitting hard on a lot of levels, from the riffs, the solos, the speed, the heaviness, the melodies to the great memorable lyrics and the dynamic range of the band’s creativity, MONARCH is recommended for fans of Exodus, Slayer, and Testament.

“Future Shock” is set for release on April 16, 2021.

““Go Forth… Slaughter” is a loud record that is full of twists and turns. Hopefully this release encourages Monarch to do some touring beyond Southern California, because songs like these need more ears.” – SD Metal

“A very colorful cover can also win over many fence-sitting people – and the rawer attention to detail on the production front gives us a clearer picture of what to expect live (a sinister snare snap plus in your face guitar tones duly noted). Go Forth…Slaughter executes in that late 80’s/early 90’s thrash/death platform, where people lost interest in major label veterans straying into commercial waters. Monarch makes it safe for you to trust their music: brutal, aggressive, and all for the love of the genre.” – Dead Rhetoric

“‘a super solid speed metal record.” – Metal Assault (2017 – Review – Go Forth... Slaughter)

About:
Formed in Montreal in the extremely vibrant metal/hardcore/crossover music scene of the early 1990’s, Homicide was, at the time, an amalgamation of members from other heavy-hitting bands on the scene who had developed strong followings and solid reputations in their own right. Gab Morency of Corrupted Youth (guitar/vocals) and Bryan Donahue of Damaged (guitar) began writing together after discovering that they had similar heavy influences and interests such as Motorhead, Slayer and Venom.

Morency had been renting a room in an extensive apartment building that also housed the jam space of local heavyweights Lizard. This is where the raucous rhythm section of Greg Mcleary (bass) and Scotty MacCulloch (drums) of Lizard heard the riffs from Morency and Donahue and decided that they had to join in on the heaviness that was transpiring.

After a period of only a few weeks, Homicide had begun recording what would be their first album “Malice and Forethought”. This catapulted them into the scene, where they played alongside and held their own with the likes of Voivod, Death, and Merciful Fate just to name a few. These performances granted Homicide a reputation for one of the best live bands performing on the scene with crowd-pleasers such as “Bring Back the Rope” about lax capital punishment policies and “Death Train” giving a nod to the devastation of terrorism in the poison gassing of a Japanese subway line.

With a sound that can be coined as “Apocalyptic Thrash”, Homicide went underground for many years and it was presumed that the band was no longer. However, 2020 brought the band members together again they recorded a new album “Left For Dead” which compared to the first album will be like going from light beer to moonshine. Homicide is back and fully amped to be bringing fast, aggressive to new and old fans around the world.

Homicide’s “Left For Dead” is due out August 21, 2020.

“Produced by Wayne Cochrane (Protest the Hero, Cancer Bats), Left for Dead offers twofold benefits: it’s throwback thrash for the older headbangers from the ’90s, and a how-to manual on this seminal era for the younger generation.” – Exclaim!

“A great old skool thrash album bringing the past to life again. Great production too. Just the right balance between studio and the ‘live’ sound. Very similar to Billy Milano’s Method Of Destruction with hints of Anvil. Lovely.” – Planet Mosh

“They specialize in Old School Crossover Thrash and returning nearly 25 years later with their sophomore album “Left For Dead” they clearly have some unfinished business.” – Metal Noise

“The album is 30 or so minutes of old-school thrash. Bay Area-style thrash is probably a pretty good description… this meat-and-potatoes thrash album should please especially the fans that prefer the sounds of the old school in a simple and loud way.” – The Metal Bulletin

“Homicide are unapologetically old school, delivering ’80s style thrash” – Heavy Music Head Quarters

New Album ‘Left For Dead’ Out Friday, August 21st

L-R – Bryan Donahue – Guitar, Mac – Bass, Scotty – Drums, and at bottom Gab – Vocals / Guitar

Montreal’s Homicide has a new album “Left For Dead” that is ready to take the world by storm on August 21st, 2020; the first offering since the band went dark 25 years ago.

What has been coined as “apocalyptic thrash” is coming back for fans and Homicide states it is like the first album, but on steroids. With a considerable amount of experience under their belts, this new album promises to be an instant classic. A no holds barred tour de force. The band shares the premise and musical intricacies behind the single:

“It gets things off to a fine start and is a reminder of just how good the storytelling style of vocalist Gabriel Morency is as he delivers a tale of the wrath of God. Mid-tempo evil chugs keep things going nicely and the riffs pay homage to the Bay Area Thrash scene with a nostalgic tooth gap grin while that whammy bar drop is a nice touch. It’s one of those tracks that cut at a point when it could happily go on for another few minutes and that’s always the hallmark of quality.”

This is the soundtrack for listeners who are looking to conquer the world. Whether you’re driving, working out, or just looking for something to bang your head to, the fast and furious styling of Homicide is going to hit the spot.

All killer and no filler Homicide is suitable for fans of Venom, Exodus, and Motorhead.

Today, the band premiere the album’s full stream via MetalInsider HERE.

Vocalist/guitarist Gabriel Morency adds:

“The album has a very live feel to it. It was done somewhat live. There was a flatbed that was recorded live for this and then it was layered, but not a lot of layers. It’s funny cause we’re in Metal Works studios in Toronto and you know they have done the Rolling Stones, Christina Aguilera, Alexisonfire, Guns n’ Roses. Use Your Illusion was done there. So you sort of figure obviously, we didn’t have the same producers, but you’re going to go there and it’s going to sound kind of packaged or get that kind of commercial sort of metal sound and to the credit the producer (Wayne Cochrane ) was anti. To be honest, I and Bryan, let’s add another layer and another layer. We wanted to get fancy and he was like keep it raw, keep it raw. We sort of found that balance of solid professional production and raw metal sound. Sometimes less is more. When we came in we had the amps cranked and he was like dear God! You guys have a lot of feedback and noise you don’t need. I and Bryan didn’t realize how much buzzing and humming we had. You start cranking pedals and Marshals there’s a lot of noise being made”

Homicide is back and fully amped to be bringing fast, aggressive to new and old fans around the world.

Homicide’s “Left For Dead” is due out August 21, 2020.

“They specialize in Old School Crossover Thrash and returning nearly 25 years later with their sophomore album “Left For Dead” they clearly have some unfinished business.” – Metal Noise

HELLEVATE Is Deciding Who is Naughty Or Nice With “Krampusnacht”

Tis the season for mistletoe, Christmas pudding, Auntie Martha’s awful sweaters and of course, Krampus. Krampus the goat demon comes to take away all the children who have misbehaved during the year and this traditional central European folktale gets revisited with the seasonally appropriate track “Krampusnacht” from Kansas City’s HELLEVATE.

Fortunately, it seems we’ve mostly been good this year as we get this new single to bang our heads to instead of getting eaten by a monster. The speed/thrash act revisions the classic tale with a choice blend of hard-hitting riffs and quick drum work that is a welcome respite from the monotony of traditional Christmas music we’ve been forced to endure.

“Krampusnacht” comes from the three-track EP of the same name, which also includes “If You Want Peace…” and “Prepare For War”. It’s a hearty dash of thrash to complement your holidays. So while you’re unwrapping presents and stuffing your face with baked goods, add some Hellevate to your traditions and turn up Krampusnacht.

Listen to “Krampusnacht” on YouTube HERE or Bandcamp.

Track Listing:
1. Krampusnacht (6:58)
2. If You Want Peace… (0:43)
3. Prepare for War (4:25)

About:

HELLEVATE is an up and coming speed/thrash metal band based out of Kansas City, Missouri.

The band was originally founded by Danöwar in Kansas City in the mid-2000s with the intention of being the most Metal of Heavy Metal bands. Like all bands, the up-and-coming HELLEVATE endured several fluctuating lineups and styles for several years. The band came together in late 2009 with drummer RJ “The Machine Gun” Whitmer (brother of Danöwar), and Zack “The Ripper” Burke on bass guitar. Current vocalist Erik “Jager” Schmutzler and guitarist Josh “The Boss” Cole joined the band in early 2013.

HELLEVATE released the first EP in 2010 and a self-titled full-length album in late 2012. The band released a second EP “Kill Confirmed” in 2014 with the new band lineup along with the full-length album, “Weapons Against Their Will” released in July of 2016.

The band has established itself by sharing the bill with many nationally touring bands, including Exodus, Kreator, Accept, Overkill, Ghoul, Venom Inc., and Danzig, just to name a few. With a great lineup and a bright future ahead of them, HELLEVATE continues to grow as a musical force in the metal world and intends to dominate and annihilate for many years to come.

Bio:
Thrash metal never dies! Like some mutated metal monster, a Thrashzilla if you will, it sees off all trends; and comes back stronger than ever fueled by love from fans and musicians alike. One such band are Ottawa’s ’80s legends INFRARED. A band who made a big impact with Canadian fans in the ’80s and in recent years returned to cement and carry on their own legacy.

Originally, Infrared was a high school band formed in the ’80s by friends who wanted to revel in the classic thrash sound that was quickly gaining traction. Collaborating on their sound since 1985 they have produced an EP (1988’s R.I.P.) and after rising from a 27-year hiatus, 2 albums “No Peace” in 2016 and “Saviours” in 2018.

Moving forward to make up for lost time, they bring a familiar aggressive and melodic classic thrash sound that is full of nostalgia, but also music that is still relevant and valid today. They explore topics that are basic human truths that don’t change over time and they consider themselves reporters through sound. Solidly rooted in classic thrash, Infrared pays homage to the Big Four and is dropping their new EP “Back To The Warehouse” in 2019 on June 14th to finally release the last of their classic material before the newest full-length studio album.

– 30 –

“I can happily say that if you’re a fan of that classic balls to the wall thrash metal sound then you will most certainly get a kick out of Infrared’s “Saviours”… a prime example of what thrash metal is and what it should always be. These Canadian thrashers have stayed true to the sounds they knew when they were in their earlier years and have bought that sound back to the modern era.”  – Overdrive Music Magazine

“It is an excellent album, killer thrash with NWOBHM melodic sensibilities, proper singing, hooks, the full nine yards!” – Hellbound

“a savage and brutal journey of eighties inspired thrash metal, laden with heaviness and menace, heads will be banging hard from start to finish.” – Metal Gods TV

“Their new album Saviours is a thrash party from beginning to end.” – Rock Portaal

“These guys play a heavy/thrash hybrid that’s highly melodic and at times is so damn catchy, some of the songs just stick in your head after the first listen. ” – The Metal Crypt

Ottawa’s INFRARED Embraces Classic Thrash With New Single “Meet My Standards”

New EP “Back To The Warehouse” Out June 14th

Ottawa’s INFRARED is debuting ‘Meet My Standards’ off their forthcoming EP “Back To The Warehouse”, which is being premiered exclusively on Bravewords.

The EP is a collection of some of the older material that INFRARED deems worthy to unleash unto the public ahead of their next full studio album anticipated for 2020 release.

“They are the last of the old songs that we felt should see the light of day. Our upcoming EP is 5 songs. 4 originals and one cover of an Iron Maiden song. We hope that fans will appreciate the old school thrash metal feel of the release. We feel they are strong songs with interesting twists.”

‘Meet My Standards’ follows the formula that was set by the Big Four that INFRARED has been meticulously channeling since 1985. Tight riffs and modern writing sensibilities, this EP is a trip back in time to 80’s thrash metal. It is aggressive and melodic with lots of guitars and vocal hooks.

The band explains the meaning behind the single:

“’Meet My Standards’ is a middle finger to societies’ desire to conform everyone to their standards. This song calls for the acceptance of independence and uniqueness.”

Calgary’s CONCRETE FUNERAL have been bashing their way into the ears of metal lovers in the local underground scene since 2015 and now they are bringing their debut album “Ultimum Judicium” to the masses this week on Friday, May 31st, 2019.

Just before the album officially is released, the heavy groove thrashers have teamed up with MetalInsider.net for the premiere of its full stream.

The band adds:

“Each song is its own tale. We bring an audio shitkicking with personality, off colour humour and maybe borderline questionable commentary. We wanna get people laughing, moshing and just having an all-out party. It’s straight forward, groovy death thrash that does contain elements of black metal and punk as well and we think a lot of people can get down on that. We’re really hoping to draw some fans across Canada and beyond with this record. We have a no bullshit approach to music so those that like it straight up heavy, no cleans should really dig it. And to add, we had the cover done in the style of a graphic novel to paint a picture of who we are and our sound. ”

About:

Concrete Funeral is a no-holds-barred contingent of death/thrash from Calgary, Alberta that has done much to project themselves to the forefront of their local music scene since 2015. Known for packing venues and festivals while bringing a heavy and powerful presence to the stage, Concrete Funeral has had the privilege to play with bands such as Archspire, Battlecross, Disciples of Power, Kataklysm, and Toxic Holocaust.

Incorporating a vast variety of influences with some of the more prominent being Warbringer, Zakk Wylde, and Onslaught, and Hypocrisy, Concrete Funeral produces a sound in the veins of Death, Exodus and Lamb of God. Citing references like Hobo With A Shotgun; the band embraces over the top comedic horror and frequently embellishes their metal with those themes. Concrete Funeral is comprised of four talented musicians from Alberta that collectively have decades of experience behind them. In May 2019, they will be by releasing their debut album “Ultimum Judicium” with plans for future touring within Canada.

“There’s plenty of unbridled rage and high-octane energy in this mad romp (“Carnival of Contradictions“) , with riffing that alternately pulsates, swirls, scissors, and slashes, tempos that turn on a dime, explosive drum work that will give your skull a solid battering, and vocals that veer from a guttural growl to a maniac shriek in the blink of an eye. It’s a riotous assault, but holds a few eye-opening surprises, including a hell of a guitar solo when the rampage briefly abates. But mainly, this is the kind of track that’s calculated to flood your body with adrenaline and get your blood rushing through the veins, and it reaches a crescendo of ferocious lunacy at the end. ” – No Clean Singing

“”Concrete Funeral , let’s face it, you can’t pass by a chance to listen to a band with a name like that, it just sounds… so Metal!! So if you like your Metal with that added ‘Thrash-tastic’ edge you won’t be too disappointed with their debut release “Ultimum Judicium” , it’s thrashy to the core but with a pinch of Death Metal, think Exodus, Death, Lamb of God and you’ll be in the right ballpark.” – The Metal Wanderlust

“Pay attention death/thrash fans! Soon a very promising debut album will be released by a Canadian band operating in this subgenre of metal… what makes Ultimum Judicium a very strong debut is that it shows what Concrete Funeral is capable of: playing some very well-done death/thrash metal that pounds nicely, but with mixing in quite some variation. Ultimum Judicium for sure promises very much for the future of Concrete Funeral. This is a band that probably could be a pretty big name in death/thrash metal within a few years. Recommended for sure!” – Dutch Metal Maniac
