Newbury comments:

“I am so excited to finally release these exclusive drumming play-through videos that were recorded at one of my most recent drum clinics. This comes at a great time because I have recently joined the Pearl Drums Canada family of Endorsed Artists. I currently play Sabian Cymbals, Remo Heads, and Roland Triggers as well.”

10 years in the making, Canadian metal masters INTO ETERNITY return in 2018 with their new full length “The Sirens” to follow 2008’s “The Incurable Tragedy” released on Century Media with former vocalist Stu Block now of Iced Earth. Firing on all cylinders, “The Sirens” is the beginning of a new era for the band, which features a new line up with founding member and guitarist Tim Roth joined by vocalist Amanda Keirnan (The Order of Chaos), guitarist Matt Cuthberston (Untimely Demise), bassist Troy Bleich (Planet Eater) and drummer Bryan James Newsbury (Culled). The album also showcases guest appearances by former vocalist Stu Block (now in Iced Earth), Cam Dixon (ex-Annihilator) and Glen Drover (ex-Megadeth). The album was co-produced, mixed and mastered by former guitarist Justin Bender, while longtime artist Mattias Noren (Evergrey, Epica, Kamelot) designed the cover and layout.

Guitarist Tim Roth comments:

“The 10 year long wait is finally over! Thank you so much to our long time fans for all the years of encouragement and support. We hope that everyone is going to enjoy this new record because a lot of sweat, tears and hours were put into The Sirens.

“There is a lot going on with this new album. There’s something for most heavy metal fans if you happen to like fast double bass drumming, rumbling bass, clean singing, death metal vocals, acoustic guitars, piano, symphony sections, heavy guitar riffs, melodic parts and shredding solos.

“We’d like to thank M-Theory Audio for offering us a deal for this new collection of songs, Rawlco Radio for the financial support and Asher Media Relations for spreading the word. Thanks as well to my band mates who all did a great job on their individual performances. This was also the first time we had guest performances on a record. Thank you to Stu Block, Jasun Tipton, Chuck Labossiere, Rob Doherty, Justin Bender, Jason Cullimore, Cam Dixon and Glen Drover for delivering those special guest appearances.

Please enjoy these new tracks and Keep It Metal!”

“The Sirens” is available on M-Theory Audio here and Bandcamp here.

Founded in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada in 1997, Into Eternity is a cornerstone in the Canadian metal scene. The next nine years for the band was a flurry of writing and recording, with the band recording a total of five full-lengths. The debut self-titled album came out in 1999 followed but “Dead or Dreaming” (2001), “Buried in Oblivion” (2004), “The Scattering of Ashes” (2006) and “The Incurable Tragedy” (2008); the latter two featuring Stu Block (Iced Earth) on vocals. Their sixth full-length album “The Sirens” (2018) sees soprano Amanda Keirnan taking on vocal duties ushering in a new era for the band.

Into Eternity borrows from all aspects of heavy music to form the perfect blend of technicality, memorable songwriting, traditional heavy metal and the sheer savagery of metal’s extreme genres. With extensive touring history, including sharing the stage with household names like Judas Priest, Megadeth and Arch Enemy, Into Eternity takes the listener on an epic journey; combining the jarring aggression of old school thrash and death metal, the speedy instrumental precision of shred and prog metal, with triumphant choruses and the melodies of classic metal.

“Into Eternity has been a staple of Saskatchewan’s heavy metal scene for 21 years. The group has had several lineup changes over that time, but the music has always been thrilling, pushing the limits of the local scene with their highly technical style and international success.” – Regina Leader Post

“This is one special band that has worked hard for its success.” – Blabbermouth

“One of the brightest stars on the progressive extreme metal landscape.” – Sea of Tranquility

“I praise lots of bands and albums, many of which probably more so than they truly deserve – what can I say? I tend to be an overly enthusiastic metal head. Though if there is one band that deserves every ounce of praise I heap upon them album after album, it’s Regina, Canada’s Into Eternity.” – Teeth of The Divine

“a vicious slice of the extreme progressive style…Roth’s technical brilliance shines above all else, as the twisting harmonies whirl around the listener’s head atop the blistering percussion.”  – Exclaim! (Review The Incurable Tragedy 2008)

“Into Eternity’s The Incurable Tragedy, an album that manages to be so credibly metal, yet so vastly accessible, that there’s something for everyone. ” – Metal Sucks (Review The Incurable Tragedy 2008)

“Into Eternity has managed to succeed on every level with THE INCURABLE TRAGEDY. They have provided a conceptual piece in which the individual songs stand on their own, and also work together to create a greater whole. The band has toured with many of the masters, and has clearly benefited from this. The result is the band’s most mature and concise sounding record to date. They have produced an album that will be sure to please die hard devotees to many of the different genres of metal.” – Metal Rules (Review The Incurable Tragedy 2008)

NEWS RELEASE

Montreal, QC – October 18, 2018

Decibel Mag Premiere INTO ETERNITY’s Lyric Video “Sandstorm”

New Album “The Sirens” Out October 26th On M-Theory Audio

L-R – Tim Roth – Lead Guitar, Vocals,  Matt Cuthberson – Guitar, Amanda Keirnan – Vocals, Bryan Newbury – Drums, Troy Bleich – Bass, Backing Vocals

It’s been 10 years since INTO ETERNITY unleashed 2008’s “The Incurable Tragedy” on Century Media with former vocalist Stu Block now of Iced Earth. A decade later, it’s a new era for the band with their new album “The Sirens”, which features founding member and guitarist Tim Roth with a new line-up that includes vocalist Amanda Keirnan (The Order of Chaos), guitarist Matt Cuthberston (Untimely Demise), bassist Troy Bleich (Planet Eater) and drummer Bryan James Newsbury (Culled).

Due out on M-Theory Audio on October 26th, “The Sirens” features guest appearances by former vocalist Stu Block (now in Iced Earth), Cam Dixon (ex-Annihilator) and Glen Drover (ex-Megadeth) and sees INTO ETERNITY firing on all cylinders. The album was co-produced, mixed and mastered by former guitarist Justin Bender, while longtime artist Mattias Noren (Evergrey, Epica, Kamelot) designed the cover and layout.

Teaming up with Decibel Magazine, the band’s second single “Sandstorm” is now ready to be revealed to fans.

Guitarist Tim Roth comments:

“Sandstorm was the second song written for The Sirens. Most of the other tracks are long epics, but Sandstorm is a short, action packed song that holds plenty of firepower. Amanda did a spectacular job on the vocal melody and even though this song has a nice groove, there are still a lot of blast beats, guitar harmonies, melodic bass playing and shredding solos to be heard. This track also features Rob Doherty (low Growls), Stu Block as guest vocalists as well as Justin Bender on the outro guitar solo. The song’s lyrics were inspired on May 2, 2011 after the USA shot and killed Osama Bin Laden during a covert mission.”

FRACTAL CYPHER’s New Music Video Reaches “From The Above And To The Stars”

New Mini-Album “Prelude To An Impending Outcome” Promises A Roller Coaster of Genres

Montreal prog quartet FRACTAL CYPHER are premiering their first single and music video “From The Above And To The Stars” on Prog-Sphere.com. The track is off the band’s upcoming mini-album “Prelude To An Impending Outcome” due out this coming November.

“This is the heaviest song on the record, it’s got lots of heavy guitar riffs, it has a Djenty vibe that is quite obvious all the way through. This track was influenced a bit from what we did on our past ‘The Human Paradox’ in terms of the balance between heavy riffs and melodies. On the lyrical aspect, the main topic of the track is about sci-fi stuff, talking about the possibilities of the existence of another civilization in the universe. We made the music relate to the lyrics in terms of chords choices and sonority.” – Fractal Cypher

Watch the video at the following link: http://www.prog-sphere.com/specials/fractal-cypher-video-premiere/

“Prelude To An Impending Outcome” is a 4 song mini-album produced by Chris Donaldson (Cryptopsy, The Agonist, Beyond Creation) that promises to be a roller coaster of genres across completely different sounding songs with intimate lyrics influenced by personal experiences. Each track has a different prominent genre influence from power ballad, blues, djent and jazz with the band’s heavy and melodic base as an anchor. The album artwork was done by Silent Q Design out of Montreal and foreshadows the moody and existential prog metal that lies within. Although this album is more intimate with different textures and influences, the reception to its predecessor should be a prime indication of the talents of FRACTAL CYPHER; this next release is sure to be a masterwork.

The band adds:

“’Prelude To An Impending Outcome’ is a mini album of 4 songs that are completely different from one to another to create a maximum roller coaster effect and make it non linear and interesting to listen to. The clash of style is more important and more obvious than our previous album, but the songs have gained in maturity in term of songwriting and sound. The vibe of this mini-album is really more intimate, due to the lyrics and the overall ambiance/universe of the songs. The melodic side of the band is still really present, offering catchy vocal lines and outstanding solos all over the songs.”

“Prelude To An Impending Outcome” is slated for self-release on November 8, 2018 and available for pre-order on the band’s Bandcamp here.

Track Listing:
1. Coming Back To Life (10:13)
2. The Grandeur Of It All (6:52)
3. From The Above And To The Stars (8:04)
4. Red Lady (9:30)
Mini-Album Length: 34:30

NEWS RELEASE

Montreal, QC – August 15 , 2018

For Fans of Alter Bridge, Dream Theater, Richie Kotzen

Rockshots Records: Croatia’s SIDE EFFECTS To Release Fourth Album “Descending Rabbit Holes” Sept 28th

The energetic, eargasmic Croatian trio SIDE EFFECTS return to bring their progressive arrangements to the world for a fourth time with their next album “Descending Rabbit Holes”. Enhanced with a fusion of powerfully delivered, intricate drum parts, fierce bass, virtuoso guitars and poetic lyrics this album is the calling card of a no-frills rock power trio.

Fronted and driven by Ivan Mihaljevic’s guitar-vocal-songwriting combo, SIDE EFFECTS are celebrating their first decade of rocking with a new album to be released by the Italian based label ROCKSHOTS RECORDS.

Besides the numerous live shows in rock clubs, SIDE EFFECTS have played many big stages and festivals as well as being support for renowned artists such as Whitesnake, Richie Kotzen (Poison, Mr. Big) and Paul Gilbert. As a songwriter, Mihaljevic is now back to his creative roots, focusing his passion into a burst of energy to create these 11 new songs.

Sure to entice fans of Alter Bridge, Dream Theater, and Winery Dogs, the band continues to progress and evolve to share their experiences, opinions and feelings with their listeners. Ivan quotes about the upcoming album:

“The album doesn’t really have a unified meaning, but it’s named Descending Rabbit Holes, which is a line from the song Lint. What the title means is that every song aims to deeply explore the topic it deals with and therefore descends into the proverbial rabbit hole.”

Their new effort “Descending Rabbit Holes” is set to be released on September 28, 2018 via ROCKSHOTS RECORDS.

You can listen to their first single “In the Shadow of A Crumbled Fort” on Spotify, iTunes plus watch the music video Youtube directed by Bjartmar Thordarsonat the following link:

New Album “The Sirens” Out August 3rd

L-R – Tim Roth – Lead Guitar, Vocals,  Matt Cuthberson – Guitar, Amanda Keirnan – Vocals, Bryan Newbury – Drums, Troy Bleich – Bass, Backing Vocals

It’s been 10 years since INTO ETERNITY unleashed 2008’s “The Incurable Tragedy” on Century Media with former vocalist Stu Block now of Iced Earth. A decade later, it’s a new era for the band with their new album “The Sirens”due out on August 3rd, which features founding member and guitarist Tim Roth with a new line-up that includes vocalist Amanda Keirnan (The Order of Chaos), guitarist Matt Cuthberston (Untimely Demise), bassist Troy Bleich (Planet Eater) and drummer Bryan James Newsbury (Culled/Death Toll Rising).

Borrowing from all aspects of heavy music to form the perfect blend of technicality, memorable songwriting, traditional heavy metal and the sheer savagery of metal’s extreme genres, INTO ETERNITY‘s first single “Fringes of Psychosis” is ready to be revealed to the metal world with its premiere on MetalInjection.net.

“Fringes of Psychosis is the first track off our long awaited release ‘The Sirens’. This track deals with the edge of one’s sanity through life’s endless turmoil. Musically this song captures the classic music of early Into Eternity, reborn again with the soaring vocals of Amanda Kiernan, shredding guitar featuring Tim Roth and Matt Cuthbertson, the precise bass playing of Troy Bleich and the intense drumming of Bryan Newbury. Featured also on this track are a couple of guest solos by the mighty Glenn Drover (Megadeth/Testement) and guest demon low growls by our buddy Chuck Labossiere (Eyam/VOTOV).”

EPK – https://wp.me/pciNW-c6tAbout:

– 30 –

In true prog fashion, THE SLYDE stays true to their mission statement with their quirky arrangements, aggressive edge, and ominous lyrics.  The result is a thought provoking, high-octane album for fans of Rush, Dream Theater, Haken, Coheed and Cambria, and Megadeth. “The Slyde have written a full-length rock record that is retro yet contemporary, edgy yet smooth.  There are plenty of dynamics while staying high-energy and never boring or overwrought.  Well-balanced and entertaining, these songs are progressive but not pretentious.  Have a listen then tell your friends! ” – Progressive Music Planet

“An album with an incredible energy and a vocalist that keeps up with them, The Slyde make a formidable record. This band have many highlights on Awakening, including ‘Walk With Me’ and ‘So Blind’ where the band make clear just what they can do.” – Thinking Lyrically

“It’s obvious that The Slyde is very passionate about their music, and for good reason. The tracks contained on this album are top notch progressive jams, each offering their own unique spin on the prog rock/metal genre.” – Under Air Media

“…This is quite possibly the greatest thing I have heard from the underground in a while, at least in North America. The Slyde have nailed a style many deny exists, and done it with true flair. I really hope this band picks up, since they are one of the current unsung talents of this earth.” – The 10th Doctor of Prog, on The Slyde’s 2012 EP ‘New World Sympathy’

“…an impressive step forward/return to form for these Canadian bright-eyed musicians and stands to solidify their name as one of the more promising ventures in the increasingly prolific progressive metal scene.” – Heavy Blog is Heavy, on the ‘Back Again’ EP

“Back Again is a breath of fresh air as all four songs bounce along with spirit and confidence, not to mention a great blend of strong hooks, succinctness and technical ability which is evident but not rammed down our throats. Everything just sounds right, if that makes sense.” 8/10 – The Man of Much Metal

“Not just an epic heavy prog-fest, The Slyde have delivered an intelligent and compelling 4-track EP that hints at much promise to come from this Canadian four piece.” – ProgRadar, on the ‘Back Again’ EP

“The Slyde will be the band I remember from IndieWeek. Thanks for making it worthwhile guys. Incredible set. Best band of the week by a mile.” – Music Vice

Toronto Proggers THE SLYDE Announce New Album “Awakening” Out May 18th

Following up with 2017’s EP release “Back Again”, Toronto melodic proggers THE SLYDE return with their first full length effort titled “Awakening”.  The band (formerly known as just Slyde) will drop ten tracks of their intricate, contrapuntal prog rock that they’ve honed over the last decade on May 18, 2018.

The band comments:

“‘Awakening’ refers to the process of invoking change. Each song can be seen as a protest song, arguing for a more peaceful and autonomous way of life. For example, the opening track ‘Awaken/Walk With Me’ is about getting away from the powerful effects of media control and propaganda.  ‘Back Again’ is about the beauty and fragility of our Earth, and how we take it for granted. ‘Divide’ refers to the brainwashing effects of politics of fear and division in the West. “Awakening” looks at our daily consumption and poses the question ‘what is, or could be, our reality?”
