A true spectacle to be witnessed, LORDS OF THE TRIDENT is a daring adventure metal quintet that has been delighting their audiences and fans all over the world for ten years. To continue on their epic quest of bringing spectacular and entertaining metal to global fans these power metal warriors will be unleashing their 7th album “Shadows From The Past” on August 24th. In celebration of this new beast from their discography, LORDS OF THE TRIDENT are premiering via Metal-Rules.com their second single and new lyric video “Burn It Down” featuring Unleash The Archers vocalist Brittany Slayes.

“This video collaboration between myself and Brittney Slayes was SO metal, I felt like the only way I could do it justice was to set my own face on fire. However, the rest of the guys expressed concern that I ‘would only be able to do this once’, I found an alternative – summoning our faces out of fire! Make sure you’re wearing your most flame-retardant clothing before watching, as this video is likely to melt just about anything in a 15-foot radius!” comments LOTT vocalist Fang VonWrathenstein.

Watch “Burn It Down” at http://www.metal-rules.com/2018/07/27/lords-of-the-trident-new-video-burn-it-down-ft-unleash-the-archers-brittany-slayes/

The band offered multiple packages and rewards that included merch, lessons from band members, festival tickets, private concerts and a copy of the video game Coffee Crisis that the band has partnered with to feature one of their songs for one of the levels along with band members as NPCs (non-playable characters).

Vocalist Fang VonWrathenstein comments on the album:

“This album is our most ambitious musical work to date, and the first album with our new members Baron Helleshaar and Master Herc. Fans who have been with us for a while will notice that our new songs are a bit more complex, and our songwriting continues to mature. BIO:

Since climbing out of a volcano in 2008, shrouded in metal and ash, Lords of the Trident have gone to battle on many stages across the USA, playing and headlining a plethora of festivals and have an admirable arsenal of recordings in their inventory. The Lords of The Trident have released three full albums: “Death or Sandwich” (2009), “Chains on Fire” (2011), “Frostburn” (2015) , three EPs: “Plan of Attack” (2013), “A Very Lords of the Trident Christmas” (2014), “Re:Quests” (2015), and two live DVDs, along with numerous compilation singles.

Their live shows include medieval costumes, pyrotechnics, confetti cannons, guitars set ablaze, and of course, excellent technical musicianship that challenges the standard for how live music should be experienced. Citing influences such as Iron Maiden, Scar Symmetry and Judas Priest, and embracing lyrical themes inspired by great battles, conquests, dragon-fighting, virtual reality, and out-of-control robots Lords of the Trident dish out face-melting power that is enjoyed by fans of all races and classes.

 – 30 –

“Clearly influenced by power metal in the vein of Helloween, Hammerfall, and countless others that could be named here, LOTT are clearly in their element performing power metal and killing it. Fang, aka Ty Christian, has a quality to his voice that reminds me so much of Niklas Isfeldt, formerly of Dream Evil. But when he has to, he can get up there and really wail away with all the confidence in the world. Guitarists Asian Metal and Killius Maximus have got the power metal chops down perfectly. With the twin melodies they create and then the speed, it’s clear these guys can play the instruments with more than an amateur proficiency. 4/5” – Greg Watson, Maximum Metal (January 15th, 2017)

“Fans of power metal should definitely checkout Frostburn. The record is very energetic as well as very well made. Lords of the Trident as a band have a lot of character, talent and seeing what they do after this could be quite interesting. 8/10” – Steven Lornie, Demonzone (October 13th, 2015)

“Track to track, the Lords of the Trident’s Frostburn is nothing short of a power metal masterpiece that everyone who enjoys this type of music needs to hear. That being said, the album lives up to the band’s claim of being “the most metal band on earth” and given time, they just might rival the long reigning kings of metal themselves. Look out Manowar, the Lords of the Trident are coming for your crown. 10/10” – Brett Kihlmire, Metal At the Gates (July 12th, 2015)

You can check out all the bands that are playing this year at the fest’s website: MadWithPowerFest.com”

“Overall, Lords Of The Trident’s third album is a solid alternative to those who feel that the power metal legends such as Helloween have faltered on their most recent efforts. The Plan Of Attack EP may be the band’s strongest moment but Frostburn is a strong recommendation to those still unfamiliar with the band’s methods of madness. One can sense that the band is on the cusp of something truly inspiring.” – Chris Latta, Psychic Shorts (December 7th, 2015)

“Instead of trying to become copycats of a great band of the 80’s, they fuse their influences and filter them under their own personality and because of that they manage to craft a sound that is old school and yet has fresh ideas and a certain originality. I think that I won’t exaggerate if I say that “Frostburn” is one of the best heavy metal releases of this year that shine because of their maturity, enthusiasm and creativity. 8.5/10” – Nick “Verkaim” Parastatidis, Behind The Veil Webzine (August 5th, 2015)

With a lengthy history of enchanting fans with outrageous theatrical events with plenty of crowd participation, Lords of the Trident have donned their cloaks and armor to lay the groundwork for their most enthusiastic sojourn yet.

Fang VonWrathenstein shares his excitement:

“This album is our most ambitious musical work to date, and the first album with our new members Baron Helleshaar and Master Herc. Fans who have been with us for a while will notice that our new songs are a bit more complex, and our songwriting continues to mature. The new songs are definitely still Lords songs, but explore some new musical themes. I believe the new album will be our strongest offering yet, and contain some songs that are sure to be fan favorites going forward.”

The band has partnered with the video game Coffee Crisis in which they will be featured in as NPCs (non-playable characters) and will provide a song for one of the levels. The kickstarter goes live June 1 and will run for the period of a month with a financial goal of $6000 USD. In return the band offers supporters a wide variety of band merch, copies of Coffee Crisis, private music lessons with band members, private concerts, and tickets to Mad With Power festival in Madison, Wisconsin. The album will be released digitally and on physical CD on Friday, August 24th along with it being performed for the first time ever the following day at Mad With Power festival on Saturday, August 25th. Fans that support Lords of the Trident through Patreon will have access to exclusive rewards tiers.
