From the darkness of Northern Quebec, Canada, Rouyn-Noranda’s BACKSTABBER will be unleashing their debut album “Conspiracy Theorist” this Friday, February 15, 2019. The 10 track album is a fierce full-length that encompasses themes about scandals, critiques of mainstream media and conspiracies such as hollow Earth. Remaining old school, there are no clean vocals or breakdowns here, just a solid and mature death/thrash metal album, with good flow and clear thought in the tracks and compositions.

Assembled in 2003 to infiltrate, build and destroy, Gatineau, QC’s INSURRECTION is an aural onslaught assaulting witnesses in both languages of French and English. Known for blending calculated technicality with a signature mixture of merciless death metal, the band has annihilated the masses with four full-lengths, their most recent 2017’s “Extraction” unleashed on Galy Records to follow “Prototype” (2013), “Fracture” (2010) and “Prologue” (2009). Emerging as one of the most prominent metal bands to come out of Eastern Canada, the brutal quintet have teamed up with NoCleanSinging for the premiere of their new music video “System Failure”. The video was shot during the band’s performance at La Grande Guignolee Underground #11 during December 2018 to raise money and food for local Montreal charity SunYouth along with other well known Quebec metal bands BARF, Cryptopsy and more.

Founded in Ottawa in 2010 with a singular purpose to transform raw aggression into music, ACCURSED SPAWN mixes influences from old and new forms of extreme metal, resulting to date in a renowned energetic live show, and a handful of recorded songs.

Signed to PRC Music, ACCURSED SPAWN will be unleashing their debut full length “The Virulent Host” on March 22, 2019. With a unique sound and style that stands apart from the crowd, the full length is the next step in the band’s evolution of musical expression to follow a mix of demos and EPs since 2010.

“‘The Virulent Host’ represents a huge step up in all ways for Accursed Spawn: the production is exceptional (thanks to Christian Donaldson and The Grid), the hooks are quite memorable, the string work is phenomenal (between the blistering solos and fretless bass, there’s quite a lot in there for string players), and the delivery is both consistent but also fresh. It’s our first ever “full length” record and fans that have been with the band since our inception should be quite pleased with the delivery. We’ve road-tested most of the songs at this point, and the mosh pits speak for themselves.” says drummer Jay Cross.

“The Virulent Host” is a fiery and passionate take on modern death metal, influenced by thrash and brutal death that stands head and shoulders above many of their contemporaries. The production quality truly stands among the titans of death metal, thanks to Chris Donaldson, guitarist for legendary death metal unit Cryptopsy applying his talents and experience to mix and master the album at The Grid Studios in Montreal, QC. Donaldson has previously worked on records for high profile names such as Cryptopsy, Beyond Creation, Despised Icon, The Agonist, Beneath The Massacre, and Neuraxis. The artwork was done by highly esteemed artist Remy Cooper of Headsplit Design (Origin, Beyond Creation, Psycroptic, Pig Destroyer, Whitechapel, Thy Art Is Murder, Cryptopsy, Suicide Silence, Arch Enemy).

Out first single “Bhopal ’84” will give a good deal of insight into what people can expect from this record: it kicks off with blistering guitar and drum work, jumps into a catchy verse, and presents a very slamming bridge near the end of the song, followed by tasty solo work. It has a nice “Suffocation meets Cryptopsy” feel but is still uniquely Accursed Spawn.”

The latest blistering death metal entity Of Hatred Spawn unleashed their self-titled debut album worldwide this past December on Boonsdale Records. The band’s studio and live line-up consist of JJ Tartaglia (Skull Fist) on drums, his brother Remy Tartaglia on guitars, Oscar Rangel (ex-Annihilator) on bass and Matt “Coldcuts” Collacott on vocals. The project is the first-ever collaborative offering by the Tartaglia brothers and holds great promise and expectations within the metal community around the world.

The band delivers an old-school death metal sound in the vein of old Morbid Angel, Decapitated, Cannibal Corpse, Deicide, Ruination-era Job For A Cowboy, while staying true to the modern trends of today’s extreme metal. Super low-tuned guitars, guttural vocals, blast beat drumming, odd-time signatures, and tempo shifts create the atmosphere for Of Hatred Spawn’s demonic sound. The lyrical themes tell stories of plagues, slavery, darkness and the balance of evil.

Teaming up with NoCleanSinging.com, the band is premiering drummer JJ Tartaglia’s new playthrough for the album’s track “Severed Limb Convulsion”.

“This song is probably the heaviest one on the album. Straight up death metal, with quite a few changes in odd-time signatures of 11/8, 7/8, 5/8, and 6/8 and a tempo shift as well. All of the elements give it quite a modern sound making it one of my fave tracks. Real fun to play as well.”

From the darkness of Northern Quebec, Canada, Rouyn-Noranda’s assaulting BACKSTABBER are sharing their fury with a FREE download of their single “No Privacy”off their forthcoming debut album “Conspiracy Theorist” set to be unleashed on February 15, 2019. The 10 track album is a fierce full-length that encompasses themes about scandals, critiques of mainstream media and conspiracies such as hollow Earth.

Remaining old school, there are no clean vocals or breakdowns here, just a solid and mature death/thrash metal album, with good flow and clear thought in the tracks and compositions.

Their single “No Privacy” is a brutal track focusing on the pervasive usage of metadata collection and their multiple applications merged with quantum analyzing.

The band explains further:

“‘No Privacy’ focuses on the fact that privacy is almost gone with metadata. It makes you question the difference between privacy and liberty. We also explore the possibilities of analyzing metadata with quantum computers and the creation of real-life simulation programs like Sentient World Simulation and their implications in real life. If you can create a real-time virtual reality with quantum computers collecting and analyzing metadata, that program could run simulations of almost everything and in the end, it could guess the future with an unbelievable level of certainty.”

BACKSTABBER, from Rouyn-Noranda, in Northern Quebec, Canada is unleashing raw fury with their first full-length album “Conspiracy Theorist”. The 10 track album is a fierce debut encompassing themes of scandals, a critique of mainstream media and conspiracies such as hollow Earth.

Remaining old school, there are no clean vocals or breakdowns here, just a solid and mature death/thrash metal album, with good flow and clear thought in the tracks and compositions.

BACKSTABBER currently has two singles out from “Conspiracy Theorist”, “Subterranean” and “No Privacy”. “Subterranean” is a fast-paced revisit to the legacy of Admiral Richard E. Byrd and the theory of Hollow Earth, which was presumably researched during World War II by both German and American forces.

The latest blistering death metal entity Of Hatred Spawn will be releasing their self-titled debut album worldwide on December 21st, 2018 on Boonsdale Records. The band’s studio and live line-up consist of JJ Tartaglia (Skull Fist) on drums, his brother Remy Tartaglia on guitars, Oscar Rangel (ex-Annihilator) on bass and Matt “Coldcuts” Collacott on vocals. The project is the first-ever collaborative offering by the Tartaglia brothers and holds great promise and expectations within the metal community around the world.

Main songwriter Remy Tartaglia comments:

“The music is very aggressive and the lyrics are written from an evil standpoint, from the perspective of a demonic entity or being. This is an exercise in creative theatricality which provides depth to the art form. My aim is to immerse the listener into the sound and story of the songs, like a good book movie or video game. Some may also find the sound and themes to be empowering providing strength and comfort during consumption. The music has this effect on me and it is my intention to covey this feeling, to have listeners feed off the music’s aggression in a positive way.”
