Newbury comments:

“I am so excited to finally release these exclusive drumming play-through videos that were recorded at one of my most recent drum clinics. This comes at a great time because I have recently joined the Pearl Drums Canada family of Endorsed Artists. A huge thank you to Peter Marunzak and everyone at the Pearl team for supporting me the way I have supported them for over a decade. I currently play Sabian Cymbals, Remo Heads, and Roland Triggers as well.”

10 years in the making, Canadian metal masters INTO ETERNITY return in 2018 with their new full length “The Sirens” to follow 2008’s “The Incurable Tragedy” released on Century Media with former vocalist Stu Block now of Iced Earth. Firing on all cylinders, “The Sirens” is the beginning of a new era for the band, which features a new line up with founding member and guitarist Tim Roth joined by vocalist Amanda Keirnan (The Order of Chaos), guitarist Matt Cuthberston (Untimely Demise), bassist Troy Bleich (Planet Eater) and drummer Bryan James Newsbury (Culled). The album also showcases guest appearances by former vocalist Stu Block (now in Iced Earth), Cam Dixon (ex-Annihilator) and Glen Drover (ex-Megadeth). The album was co-produced, mixed and mastered by former guitarist Justin Bender, while longtime artist Mattias Noren (Evergrey, Epica, Kamelot) designed the cover and layout.

Guitarist Tim Roth comments:

“The 10 year long wait is finally over! Thank you so much to our long time fans for all the years of encouragement and support. We hope that everyone is going to enjoy this new record because a lot of sweat, tears and hours were put into The Sirens.

“There is a lot going on with this new album. There’s something for most heavy metal fans if you happen to like fast double bass drumming, rumbling bass, clean singing, death metal vocals, acoustic guitars, piano, symphony sections, heavy guitar riffs, melodic parts and shredding solos.

“We’d like to thank M-Theory Audio for offering us a deal for this new collection of songs, Rawlco Radio for the financial support and Asher Media Relations for spreading the word. Thanks as well to my band mates who all did a great job on their individual performances. This was also the first time we had guest performances on a record. Thank you to Stu Block, Jasun Tipton, Chuck Labossiere, Rob Doherty, Justin Bender, Jason Cullimore, Cam Dixon and Glen Drover for delivering those special guest appearances.

Please enjoy these new tracks and Keep It Metal!”

“The Sirens” is available on M-Theory Audio here and Bandcamp here.

Founded in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada in 1997, Into Eternity is a cornerstone in the Canadian metal scene. The next nine years for the band was a flurry of writing and recording, with the band recording a total of five full-lengths. The debut self-titled album came out in 1999 followed but “Dead or Dreaming” (2001), “Buried in Oblivion” (2004), “The Scattering of Ashes” (2006) and “The Incurable Tragedy” (2008); the latter two featuring Stu Block (Iced Earth) on vocals. Their sixth full-length album “The Sirens” (2018) sees soprano Amanda Keirnan taking on vocal duties ushering in a new era for the band.

Into Eternity borrows from all aspects of heavy music to form the perfect blend of technicality, memorable songwriting, traditional heavy metal and the sheer savagery of metal’s extreme genres. With extensive touring history, including sharing the stage with household names like Judas Priest, Megadeth and Arch Enemy, Into Eternity takes the listener on an epic journey; combining the jarring aggression of old school thrash and death metal, the speedy instrumental precision of shred and prog metal, with triumphant choruses and the melodies of classic metal.

“Into Eternity has been a staple of Saskatchewan’s heavy metal scene for 21 years. The group has had several lineup changes over that time, but the music has always been thrilling, pushing the limits of the local scene with their highly technical style and international success.” – Regina Leader Post

“This is one special band that has worked hard for its success.” – Blabbermouth

“One of the brightest stars on the progressive extreme metal landscape.” – Sea of Tranquility

“I praise lots of bands and albums, many of which probably more so than they truly deserve – what can I say? I tend to be an overly enthusiastic metal head. Though if there is one band that deserves every ounce of praise I heap upon them album after album, it’s Regina, Canada’s Into Eternity.” – Teeth of The Divine

“a vicious slice of the extreme progressive style…Roth’s technical brilliance shines above all else, as the twisting harmonies whirl around the listener’s head atop the blistering percussion.”  – Exclaim! (Review The Incurable Tragedy 2008)

“Into Eternity’s The Incurable Tragedy, an album that manages to be so credibly metal, yet so vastly accessible, that there’s something for everyone. ” – Metal Sucks (Review The Incurable Tragedy 2008)

“Into Eternity has managed to succeed on every level with THE INCURABLE TRAGEDY. They have provided a conceptual piece in which the individual songs stand on their own, and also work together to create a greater whole. The band has toured with many of the masters, and has clearly benefited from this. The result is the band’s most mature and concise sounding record to date. They have produced an album that will be sure to please die hard devotees to many of the different genres of metal.” – Metal Rules (Review The Incurable Tragedy 2008)

NEWS RELEASE

Montreal, QC – October 18, 2018

For fans of Death, Dream Theater, Opeth, Arch Enemy

Decibel Mag Premiere INTO ETERNITY’s Lyric Video “Sandstorm”

New Album “The Sirens” Out October 26th On M-Theory Audio

L-R – Tim Roth – Lead Guitar, Vocals,  Matt Cuthberson – Guitar, Amanda Keirnan – Vocals, Bryan Newbury – Drums, Troy Bleich – Bass, Backing Vocals

It’s been 10 years since INTO ETERNITY unleashed 2008’s “The Incurable Tragedy” on Century Media with former vocalist Stu Block now of Iced Earth. A decade later, it’s a new era for the band with their new album “The Sirens”, which features founding member and guitarist Tim Roth with a new line-up that includes vocalist Amanda Keirnan (The Order of Chaos), guitarist Matt Cuthberston (Untimely Demise), bassist Troy Bleich (Planet Eater) and drummer Bryan James Newsbury (Culled).

Due out on M-Theory Audio on October 26th, “The Sirens” features guest appearances by former vocalist Stu Block (now in Iced Earth), Cam Dixon (ex-Annihilator) and Glen Drover (ex-Megadeth) and sees INTO ETERNITY firing on all cylinders. The album was co-produced, mixed and mastered by former guitarist Justin Bender, while longtime artist Mattias Noren (Evergrey, Epica, Kamelot) designed the cover and layout.

Teaming up with Decibel Magazine, the band’s second single “Sandstorm” is now ready to be revealed to fans.

Guitarist Tim Roth comments:

“Sandstorm was the second song written for The Sirens. Most of the other tracks are long epics, but Sandstorm is a short, action packed song that holds plenty of firepower. Amanda did a spectacular job on the vocal melody and even though this song has a nice groove, there are still a lot of blast beats, guitar harmonies, melodic bass playing and shredding solos to be heard. This track also features Rob Doherty (low Growls), Stu Block as guest vocalists as well as Justin Bender on the outro guitar solo. The song’s lyrics were inspired on May 2, 2011 after the USA shot and killed Osama Bin Laden during a covert mission.”

Drawing their inspiration from a wide variety of genres, OMINOUS ECLIPSE is a brutal quartet that create a unique hybrid sound with death metal being the main aspect combined with elements of thrash, groove, black, melodic, etc. Unleashing their sophomore album “Sinister” last month on September 14th, the band will be performing their hometown CD release show on October 6th at House of Targ in Ottawa along with performing in Montreal, QC the following week on October 13th at Piranha Bar.

Show Dates:
Oct 6 – Ottawa, ON – House of Targ – info – w/ Lord Almighty, Infrared, Scepter
Oct 13 – Montreal, QC – Piranha Bar – info – w/ Tribal Bones, The Flaying, Scars Of Creation, Torrent

Their new album “Sinister” is now streaming at the following link:

Plus available on Bandcamp, iTunes, Amazon, Google Play and Spotify.

Music Video – “Sinister” – https://youtu.be/ZkCr2u_wHfs

The band comments:

“There’s no concept or theme on this album so all the songs have different meaning. The title track itself divulges into the inevitable end to humanity and potentially the world with it. It discusses the issues around the globe and also addresses the ignorance and selfishness of those indirectly affected by the chaos. It has a strong “United We Stand, Divided We Fall” theme in regards to how people can turn their backs on those in need in order to save their own skin, which ironically will lead to our end as it causes people to turn on each other. Musically for this album, you will notice we have evolved from the first release and have moved away from thrashy overtones to become more diverse including more heavily stated melodic and technical with a solid groove and death foundation.”

The album follows their 2015 debut full length “End Of Days” and EP “Beyond The Apocalypse” released that same year. Active since 2014, OMINOUS ECLIPSE is a very ambitious band passionate about writing and playing extreme music. They have already shared the stage with the likes of Revocation, The Agonist, Kalmah, Archspire, Incantation, Vesperia, Beyond Creation, Rivers of Nihil to name a few.

Track Listing:
1. Death By Dissection (6:13)
2. Sinister (5:00)
3. Spiral Into Insanity (4:16)
4. Lost At Sea (8:02)
5. No Redemption For The Damned (6:43)
6. Breaking The Chains (5:50)

“Their new song “Spiral Into Insanity” has a strong death metal foundation, including very melodic leads, but there’s more than enough groovy thrash inspiration and even a hint of black metal there. ” – Decibel Magazine

“a game changing release for Ominous Eclipse that places them center stage for my pick of the best Canadian Metal release this year….Every track stands strongly on its own, thanks to the band’s immense talent and flawless production. Ominous Eclipse is a band that carries the banner for the N.W.O.C.D.M. with pride and distinction. Out September 14th on all streaming platforms, I would recommend Sinister to fans of Death, Iron Maiden, Infernal Majesty and Gojira.” – Hellbound

“Demonstrating their ability to blend genres within metal to create a compelling album, this is an impressive sophomore delivery. Each track brings something different and feels refreshing even after multiple listens.” – Splice Magazine

“‘Sinister’ is a high-energy track launched by heartless riff jabs, ear-scouring string squeals, and neck-snapping drumwork. The vocals come for your throat, too, in an effusion of heartless roars and face-scraping shrieks, and the song is accented by flurries of spidery, darting fretwork and by a pair of flashy, fluid, but demented solos. It becomes a thrashing gallop, but without becoming any less venomous in its delivery.” – No Clean Singing

“The crowd was stellar at Mavericks, where each of the four bands were well represented by their fan bases. Opening on the night were Ominous Eclipse, whose chunky, frantic thrash metal din was led by their howling frontman. Largely drawing from their 2015 album End of Days, the four-piece pounded through six songs, tackling tracks like “Pestilence,” Abandoned” and the album’s particularly solid title track. Helping to limber the crowd for the chaos to come, they called for a “wall of death” in the confines of the club and the fans delivered, clearing the centre of the floor before the opposing sides barrelled into one another, bodies flying everywhere.” – Exclaim! (Live Review opening for Kalmah April 2016)

BIO:

In the heat of the summer of 2009, Mexican thrash metal band Centauro was born. Hailing from Culiacán, Sinaloa, they took their name from famous Mexican revolutionary fighter Doroteo Arango (Pancho Villa) a.k.a. “El Centauro del Norte”.

Mario Rivera (drums) delves into the origin of the band’s name,“We were kind of tired of a majority bands in our country having names mainly in English with some of them not even translating correctly. Coming from Mexico we really wanted our band’s name in our mother tongue to represent our culture and history. We wanted truly Mexican inspired metal, not everything to be about Vikings, runes, occultism and demons.”

Focusing on creating original trash infused metal they have found recognition both locally and abroad. Over the course of nine years they have unleashed eight releases, 2 EPS (Enraizados – 2010, Oligarquía – 2014), a demo (Vía Agresión – 2011) and 3 full lengths (Devastación Total – 2013, Ciénagas Del Engaño – 2015, Daño Colateral – 2018). Their sound is well worked classic thrash intertwined with a hearty sample of elements from several metal subgenres, most notably, black and death, creating a recognizable, deep and unique sound.

Staying true to their roots, they write lyrics exclusively in Spanish broaching themes including politics, religion, lust, laziness, misery, death, joy and criticism of society. This fresh take on thrash metal can be described as aggressive, melodic, and unique. The band brings a contagious energy to the stage putting emphasis on having fun and interacting with the crowd while playing quality music.

Centauro’s latest album “Daño Colateral” was released digitally April 21, 2018 on Spotify, Bandcamp, Amazon, iTunes, Google Play and will be available on CD as June 30, 2018.

– 30 –

“There is something so comforting about Centauro’s trash metal sound. One foot firmly planted in the old school with the other in a clean and fresh technical edge. Nothing is lost in translation as the thumping rhythm, hyper riffing and screeching solos can be understood in any language (Centauro sing in Spanish)…A thrash album with plenty of surprises.” – Games, Brrraaains & A Head-Banging Life

“People who are not afraid of fast and loud thrash with the necessary blast beats should definitely check this album. The sound is great and heavy, they master their instruments and in vocalist/ loudmouth/ guitarist Iván García they have a kind of Spanish-speaking Tom Araya in house so what more could you want?” – Lords of Metal

“Honestly this record is a big fucking helping of Thrash Metal done right. Whether or not you understand the language doesn’t even matter because the strength of these tracks transcends all that. Daño Colateral is a great album, CENTAURO is a great band, and I am so happy that they fell into my lap.” – Amps And Greens Screens

“if you’re looking for a record that’s going to kick ass six ways till Sunday, these are the droids you’re looking for.” – Glacially Musical

“Centauro are one of the bands that keep things interesting. Coming from Mexico and being one of the few Metal bands that keep the language to their mother tongue may make it a start, but with their new album, Daño Colateral, there may be more…this album a great amount of effort and will surely reach new audiences with this album as they steadily rise.”- Noizze UK

“Centauro nous a sorti un album passionnant sur lequel il ferait bon de se pencher sérieusement.” – Soil Chronicles

OMINOUS ECLIPSE Unleash A “Sinister” Trailer For New Album Out September 14th

A very ambitious band passionate about writing and playing extreme music, Ottawa ON’s OMINOUS ECLIPSE draws their inspiration from a wide variety of genres to create a unique hybrid sound with death metal being the main aspect combined with elements of thrash, groove, black, melodic, etc. Active since 2014, OMINOUS ECLIPSE has been making waves on the local scene opening for names such as Revocation, The Agonist, Kalmah, Archspire, Incantation, Vesperia, Beyond Creation, Rivers of Nihil to name a few. In the same year of their conception, they unleashed a four song EP “Beyond The Apocalypse” with a full length “End Of Days” following not long after in 2015. Now in 2018, they return with their sophomore album “Sinister” due out September 14th and have a new trailer ready to unleash to get fans evil about.

The Horde – https://youtu.be/QsDBFTMD4lI

Album Pre-order available on Bandcamp, iTunes, Amazon, Google Play plus stream of singles on Spotify.

The band comments on the upcoming album:

Track Listing:
1. Death By Dissection (6:13)
2. Sinister (5:00)
3. Spiral Into Insanity (4:16)
4. Lost At Sea (8:02)

6. Breaking The Chains (5:50)
7. The Horde (7:25)

“Their new song “Spiral Into Insanity” has a strong death metal foundation, including very melodic leads, but there’s more than enough groovy thrash inspiration and even a hint of black metal there. ” – Decibel Magazine

“As the evolution of Ominous Eclipse has progressed, the band have hybridized a seething core of death metal sound with elements of thrash, black metal, and melodic death metal. But if “The Horde” is a sign of what’s to come next, they’re reaching for new levels of monstrous and electrifying destructiveness.” – No Clean Singing

“Whilst we wait with anticipation to hear the rest of the record ”Sinister” is yet another outstanding track on what looks set to be a very exciting record from ‘Ominous Eclipse’.” – Spirit Level Magazine

“The crowd was stellar at Mavericks, where each of the four bands were well represented by their fan bases.

– 30 –

“Centauro is a band of great quality. Daño Colateral is an impressive advance compared to Ciénagas del Engaño in all aspects; 10 tracks with vocals in Spanish, aggressive and that fully express the fury, in addition to a total maturity in the band; it shows its more progressive side and its more melodic side without sacrificing aggression at all, it is present at all times” – Manuel Amusia

“Centauro is a band with a unique sound, one of the most emblematic bands of Sinaloa, with a very extensive discography from 2009 to 2018.” –  Balagardones
