Without Mercy have been teasing their upcoming album over the past weeks and the time is now for worldwide audiences to bask in the glory that is “Seismic”.

The vast majority of the material for “Seismic” was written and rewritten multiple times. Honed and tightened over tours and live performances, Without Mercy were unwilling to place “filler” to enhance anything. They came at this album with the best of everything they had after our inspirations were doing the same. The band shares their excitement for the release:

“We are beyond stoked to have our new album “Seismic” see the light of day. We couldn’t be more proud to have it out on Bloodblast distribution and powered by Nuclear Blast. These guys really got our album and understood what we were aiming for in style and composition. They get it. They really get it.”

For this album, Without Mercy wrote each song as an individual first and then grouped several songs together. Every inch of these tunes was going to be the best representation they could possibly get, this album represents four years of solid work ethic and unwillingness to compromise even in the slightest.

This is a chance to hear what tenacity can sound like. Lyrics that are an honest take on issues, riffs that have been refined over time, drum parts, and rhythms that are not standard or washed out. Even the mixing team behind it has a resume as long as your arm. The band pushed themselves in every field of this record and now that it’s here, fans can relive those moments.

For fans of Cattle Decapitation, Pantera, and Decapitated, the full stream of “Seismic” can be heard via its premiere on WeAreThePit HERE.

Suitable for every groove-loving metalhead out there, “Seismic” comes out on November 20, 2020, via Bloodblast Distribution.

“The thrash-stomp modes on “Worthless” ring like a head-on collision between DECAPITATED and BIOHAZARD with a dash of power metal thrown into the solo section. Alex Friis wrings his throat to huge extremes, hopefully leaving tissue intact as he hits agonizing squeals while throwing indictments against former band members — guess on your own who that might entail. DJ Temple’s guitar work on “Worthless” is terrific..” (Mouchido EP 2016) – Blabbermouth

“Vancouver’s Without Mercy is a prime example of how putting in a little bit of elbow grease can result in advantageous outcomes. The quartet play their brand of melodic, groove-laden death metal independently, but refuse to remain held back by a lack in the promotional and money machine backing departments. Over the course of a decade or so, the band has experienced the same highs and lows as most others, but their successes – which include a small handful of recordings, a bigger handful of tours, and appearances in video games – have been felt at a deeper clip because they’ve essentially managed everything themselves.”  (Mouchido EP 2016) – Decibel Magazine

“In a word, the music rips. And it also thunders, and punches so fast and hard that it’s like a jackhammer-sized nail gun ramming bolts into concrete at high speed while the operator howls and shrieks for all he’s worth, segmented by a start-stop breakdown that will give your skull a good rattling and lit up by swarming guitar flurries that are as fiery as the torches in the video (Burn).” (Mouchido EP 2016) – No Clean Singing

” the band live up to their name with each song on this 4 track EP going for straight for the throat; merciless aural violence and tight, technical proficiency melded with some serious might!” (Mouchido EP 2016) – Worship Metal

“Mouichido might only be a brief four songs and nineteen minutes long but, by the end of it, the Canadian death metal wrecking machine have left you in no doubt as to what they’re about.” (Mouchido EP 2016) – PureGrainAudio

“Right from the beginning you feel the weight and the immensity of Mouichido and one listen just doesn’t do it justice. This is a re-release of previously recorded material with a new vocalist and even so, Without Mercy comes out swinging again and knocks it clear out of the park.” (Mouchido EP 2016) – Cadaver Garden

Without Mercy has been described as, “A cacophony of extreme metal vocal styles accompany some fairly interesting soloing” and honestly, Bloodblast knows what’s up in all of these fields. The band sets out to once again prove the critics right, this time with the album “Seismic”.

The third single being released from the upcoming LP is “Uprooted”, the final track out of nine, holds the crown as the oldest on the list. This song has gone through more than a dozen changes and is more than 6 years old. Without Mercy cites:

“Easily the song that faced the most changes and evolution throughout the course of this writing. Uprooted is a song that we carried with us through tours and live performances never really satisfied with its end result until now. We shelved it, and then brought it down and dusted it off. We gave it an overhaul and in the end, it’s become something absolutely crushing to us.”

The tracks on this album are the product of touring and rewriting each piece until the band is satisfied. There were lengthy discussions amongst all of them as they decided which tunes to keep and which to cast aside for this release. The evolution of the lyrical content from previous material also brought them more information as to what should be kept and what should be discarded.

The music video for the single “Uprooted” can be watched and heard via its premiere on MetalInjection HERE.

Without Mercy have an unrelenting new release coming out in November, and to properly prepare listeners for the rage within, they are releasing their music video for the single “Disinfect The Soul” today on October 7th.

The new release intends to give fans a new perspective on the band and their interpretation of world events. The listening experience per single is meant to be cathartic and concerning all at once while the album in its entirety will take the listener on a journey of self-discovery and self-analysis.

“Disinfect the Soul” is a vicious song whose lyrical content cannot be summarized. Listeners are strongly suggested to read the lyrics and make their own interpretations. This song went through many evolutions and rotations only to end up being shelved originally for the record. However, during pre-production, it was dusted off and a new found vigor among the band transformed it into this monstrous 7min adventure. Without Mercy goes into detail:

“The song features a guest solo by our good friend, Chris Broderick who ended up taking this to an entirely new level with his own interpretation of melody and context. It is one of our setlist favourites. It features a plethora of feel changes, riff changes, and even a blood-curdling outro. It will make the listener question standard composition.”

“Disinfect The Soul” can be heard and watched via its premiere on NoCleanSinging HERE.

Intelligent and complex, the new album as a whole is a journey and a soundscape that will paint the picture in the listener’s mind of every word and syllable.

Recommended for fans of Meshuggah, Whitechapel, and Pantera, “Seismic” will see the light of day on November 20, 2020.

Canada’s Without Mercy have their new album “Seismic” coming out in November and recently unleashed the first single “The Disaster” to throttle listeners around the world.

Teaming up with GuitarWorld today, guitarist DJ Temple is showcasing the shred on the track with the premiere of his playthrough that can be viewed HERE.

Temple adds:

“‘The Disaster’ was written to be unrelenting. Showing the best example of yourself under the worst conditions. Read the lyrics, they’ll get you there. I’m using my killer Schecter JL series on this track and running it down with Ernie ball strings and EMG 707’s. Then a single patch cable that runs to my kemper power rack and blasting through my EVH 4×12. Dunlop was my pick of choice on this record as well. Easter egg fans may notice a bracelet on my left hand which nods homage to an organization I’m proud of.”

The lyric video for “The Disaster” can also be viewed on YouTube.

Single download and stream are available on Apple Music, Spotify HERE.

Without Mercy’s forthcoming album “Seismic” is the fifth release from the band who have garnered praise from metal fans around the world for almost two decades. Unrelenting and diverse, this upcoming offering contains the most tracks to date on a single album from them. Regular listeners and uninitiate soon-to-be fans will adore the song structures, the complex rhythms and the overall diversity that makes up the album. The lyrical content will have them reflecting and invested while the relentless attitude of the compositions brings them to a new level of satisfaction. Featured on the album are metal titans Chris Broderick and Jeff Loomis.

Without Mercy formed in 2004 and through trial and tribulation, the band grew in fan base and discography. Producing material and touring bountifully, it resulted in accolades and awards and even features on video games. Over the years, they have grown and matured as musicians and people, each bringing different ideas to the table that they wanted to express.

For fans of Cattle Decapitation, Meshuggah and Whitechapel, expect the whole album on November 20, 2020 via Bloodblast Distribution.

Canada’s Without Mercy have a new album coming out in November and already have a single “The Disaster” ready to throttle listeners around the world.

The album “Seismic” is the fifth release from the band who have garnered praise from metal fans around the world for almost two decades. Unrelenting and diverse, this upcoming offering contains the most tracks to date on a single album from them. Regular listeners and uninitiate soon-to-be fans will adore the song structures, the complex rhythms and the overall diversity that makes up the album. Featured on the album are metal titans Chris Broderick and Jeff Loomis.

Available now is the video single for “The Disaster”, which poses the question,  “Are we all just empty vessels influenced by the world?” The song features a composition style of relentless riffs that rarely stop. The band expands:

“We really wanted to write something that didn’t slow down much or stop. We wanted to write something that would test the fatigue level of our musicianship. It asks many questions of the listener but will demand that you pay attention and read the lyric sheet. It’s a bold and aggressive track that offers our take on death metal in 2020.”

Without Mercy formed in 2004 and through trial and tribulation, the band grew in fan base and discography. Producing material and touring bountifully, it resulted in accolades and awards and even features on video games. Nestled in the small northern Norwegian town of Alta, far above the Arctic circle, there’s a rumbling of brutality shaking the earth from a young, dynamic metal quintet known as Féleth. Creating heavy, melodic assaults, that transcends the traditional limits of the genre, these great northern Norwegians, are taking their influences of death metal, thrash, deathcore, rock and even elements of Jazz to unleash to the world their debut album “Depravity” due out via DeadPop Records on May 22, 2020.

Today, the band has teamed up with Metal Injection for the album’s exclusive full stream premiere HERE.

The band adds:

“After some years experimenting with a full lineup we’ve seem to have found our style. Hard, tricky death metal influenced by the whole death metal genre and more. We’ve worked hard and relentlessly on an album that we consider ready for the world, thanks in big part to the amazing production of Cryptopsy’s Christian Donaldson, who we can’t believe wanted to work on the record with us!”

“We are happy to share this piece we’ve been working on, bringing the best (in our minds) out of the different extreme metal genres. We’ve been grinding hard on this album for over a year, and we’re extremely grateful to anyone who will give this album from the middle of nowhere in the far north of Norway a listen!”

With songs like ‘Swan Song’ showing off their deathcore influences, to the epic ‘Dissolution’ jumping from death metal to jazz to black metal seamlessly, and tracks like ‘Pale Tongue’ transforming from in your face death metal to a beautiful ambient soundscape, Féleth is a band that is ready to rise to the occasion and leap into the international moshpit.

The album was mixed and mastered by death metal legend, Christian Donaldson (Cryptopsy, Shadow of Intent, The Agonist, Beyond Creation) at The Grid Productions plus features guest vocals from hometown hero, singer/songwriter Petter Carlsen.

Album pre-save for Spotify, Apple Music, and all other major digital platforms HERE.

In additional news, the band will be performing on May 23rd a live stream gig for Alta Live, a local music festival in the band’s hometown of Alta, Norway. The live stream will be done in a large warehouse, with 10-metre high pyro, full light rig, a multi-camera production. Feleth will play a 45-minute set beginning at 9 pm Central European Summer Time (GMT+2). “Féleth: Transcends the traditional limits of the genre…” – Permafrost.today

“The new Feléth album is a big melting pot of all things good in modern death metal… They serve up tech-death esque song structures and solos with the beautiful harmonies of melodic death metal and the crushing riffs of a brutal death metal banger. It’s an eclectic listen for sure. There are catchy parts here and there that make the record memorable and add to its replay value. The vocalist on here does an amazing job and the production value is high… Great record!” – Zax Record Reviews

NEWS RELEASE

Montreal, QC – May 7, 2020

For fans of Cattle Decapitation, Cephalic Carnage, Fleshgod Apocalypse, Origin, and all their ex/current bands

Party Grinders KILLITOROUS Premiere “The Afterparty” Album Stream via Decibel Mag

New Album “The Afterparty” Out May 22, 2020 – Tentacles Industries (Worldwide), Self-Release (North America)

Album guests from Voivod, Allegaeon, Soen, Blackguard, Cryptopsy, Firewind and more!

Canada’s tech-death comedy metal band KILLITOROUS (consisting of members from Annihilator, Suffocation, First Fragment and more!) are sharing an early surprise for fans with an exclusive preview on Decibel Magazine of their new album “The Afterparty” before it officially drops on May 22nd.

The band adds:

“The Afterparty” is our sophomore effort, after many years of growing as musicians, friends and as a band. Since “Party, Grind” was released in 2014, we’ve all individually joined hard-hitting and somewhat legendary bands and worked as sessions musicians for such bands as Annihilator, Suffocation, First Fragment, and more. We are more than stoked to show you our growth with our tremendous new line-up including a new vocalist and bassist, as well as the addition of a third guitar player. Similar to our debut release, this album is rammed full of blast beats, sweeps, shred, nasty vocals and 90’s movie references. This new album features three guitars and as such is very dense harmonically, with very full arrangements and varies in styles across the metal genre. Besides more intense guitars and more solos, this album is a testament to our evolution as songwriters and features some of our catchiest songs/riffs to date. We hope you all enjoy it as much as we do!

Get “The Afterparty” started via Decibel Magazine HERE.

KILLITOROUS’ new album “The Afterparty” was co-produced, mixed, and mastered by Chris Donaldson (Cryptopsy, Despised Icon, The Agonist, Shadow of Intent) at The Grid in Montreal, Quebec.

The guests on “The Afterparty” are just as you’d expect from a great metal bash that includes Dan Mongrain (Voivod/Martyr), Riley McShane (Allegaeon), Leo Diensthuber (Divine Realm), Cody Ford (Soen), Raphael Weinroth-Browne (Leprous), Youri Raymond (Unhuman), Callum Clark (Ending Tyranny), Paul Ablaze (Blackguard), Matt McGachy (Cryptopsy), Tom “Fountainhead” Geldschlager (ex-Obscura), Gore Lussier (Erimha), Bob Katsionis (Firewind), Steven Henry (Neuraxis).

Killitorous‘ line up consists of Mathieu Dhani (Epiphany From The Abyss) on vocals, Guitarists: Aaron Homma( Annihilator/ex-Vital Remains), Nick Miller (First Fragment) and Marc Roy (ex-Divine Realm), Eric Morotti (Suffocation/ex-Blind Witness) on drums and Xavier Sperdouklis on Bass.

SpotifyAbout:
Looking to become the band they never saw, Killitorous is comprised of the passion to grind and the general love of technical death metal.

Formed in 2006 in Ottawa, Canada; Killitorous is made up of current and former members of Annihilator, Suffocation, First Fragment and a myriad of other bands. Determined to sound like a combination of their one million favorite death metal bands they envelop technical death metal in an eternal party. A bit cheeky and a metric fuck ton of fun, Killitorous is that raunchy but charismatic friend who fuels every party.

Killitorous is a chaotic concoction, best described as technical party chaos death grind and it’s a true 90s death metal experience complete with one hell of an AfterParty!

“the group has expanded their line-up to adopt a triple-guitar attack within a tech-death setting and the results are f’ing awesome. ” – Metal Injection

“This Canadian death metal band is a party in black wifebeaters. In their video for the aptly-titled “Married With Children,” Killitorous hired a middle-aged woman to get crazy in the pit of a basement show. Excellent work, gentlemen.” – Loudwire

“Well F*ck me lifeless with possibility and throw my rotting corpse down a well with joy; if such an album hasn’t become manifest. It’s here for all to relish in the form of PartyGrind by Canada’s own Killitorous.” – The Circle Pit

“Killitorous Don’t Suck Sh*t” – MetalSucks
