One-Woman Slamming Goregrind CORDYCEPS CORPSE Unleashes Video “Forced Out of Existence”

New Album “Perverse Craving For Rotting Corpses” Out Oct 2026 via Gore House Productions

Ohio’s one‑woman brutal death metal force Cordyceps Corpse, the grotesque creation of multi‑instrumentalist Nani Porter, is set to unleash her most violent and ambitious work yet. “Perverse Craving For Rotting Corpses,” the project’s second full‑length album, due out on October 9th, 2026 from Gore House Productions, drags listeners deeper into a world of chaos, contrast, and pure sonic depravity.

With today’s album announcement, Cordyceps Corpse unleashes the album’s first single and music video, “Forced Out of Existence,”.

“This song starts with slow, held-out chords, then gets into the slams. Lyrically, I just wanted to write something wild and kinda fried. I think I accomplished that, haha,” adds Porter.

Formed in late 2023 when Porter decided “f*ck it, I’ll do it myself,” Cordyceps Corpse began as a solo experiment in fast, filthy brutality. After years of producing beats for others, she turned impatience into inspiration, recording the project’s first single in her bedroom and immediately carving out a place in the underground.

Following the Gore House Productions reissue of her debut “From Flesh To Fluids,” Porter dove headfirst into crafting its successor. In a whirlwind month‑and‑a‑half writing spree, she composed 26 songs, ultimately distilling the carnage into 11 tracks that feel like watching a truly fucked‑up movie unfold in audio form.

“Perverse Craving For Rotting Corpses” pushes Cordyceps Corpse’s sound into new extremes, faster, filthier, more technical, and more cinematic. The album’s 11 tracks explore murder, gore, supernatural serial killers, cannibalism, torture, revenge, bodily destruction, and surreal horror, all delivered with Porter’s unique mix of chaos and groove. From the opening track’s “Aileen Wuornos” interview sample to the piss‑drinking anthem “Urophagia,” each song pushes the boundaries of slam and brutal death metal.

Lyrically, the album marks a major shift. Instead of pure guttural rhythm, Porter wrote full narratives inspired by crime interrogation footage, horror films, Darby Valentine videos, and the grim psychology of figures like Aileen Wuornos. The album unfolds like the twisted diary of a Glock‑loving, necrophilic, cannibalistic misandrist woman who grows more powerful with every victim she consumes, flipping the genre’s typical violence dynamic on its head.

“This album dives more into the 90’s/2000’s brutal death metal sound. I really think that era was peak for bdm and slam. I focused on writing a little bit more technical riffs than just straight slam riffs. I feel like it gets to a point where if a song is nothing but slams, it starts to sound like the next song. I think what makes a slam riff hit is context. Like a basic ass slam riff sounds cool as f*ck after crazy fast riffs or whatever. 90’s/2000’s era, I feel, does this well with like switching stuff off and just being fast too,” says Porter.

The album artwork, created by Adam Nevler (GruesomeGraphx), captures the record’s gruesome cinematic energy in a single disturbing image.

Fast, brutal, gross, and gruesome, “Perverse Craving For Rotting Corpses” is recommended for fans of Devourment, .357 Homicide, Cephalotripsy, Kraanium, and Corpse Pile, and will be available digitally and on cassette from Gore House Productions on October 9th, 2026.

About Cordyceps Corpse:

Cordyceps Corpse is the solo sonic nightmare of Ohio‑based multi‑instrumentalist Nani Porter, mutating brutal death metal, slam, and goregrind into something feral, chaotic, and unmistakably her own. Everything from writing, recording, mixing, artwork, and performance is done entirely by her. Cordyceps Corpse isn’t a band. It’s a one‑woman horror machine.

CORDYCEPS CORPSE REVIEWS & MENTIONS

“The solo project of multi-instrumentalist and deathgrind visionary Nani, Cordyceps Corpse delivers a grotesque cocktail of guttural slam, sludged-out goregrind, and DIY fury” – Necrozine

“a one-woman slam/goregrind wrecking ball spilling over with disgusting grooves, guttural violence, and Nani’s fully unhinged DIY vision. It’s her rawest, most chaotic statement yet, now upgraded with live drums, sharper production, and a brand new video for the title track that leans hard into the project’s anti-authority, horror-splattered energy. If you’re into thick Devourment-style slam filtered through a solo creator who writes, records, mixes, masters, designs, and performs everything herself, this reissue is worth diving into — chaotic, filthy, and completely owned from the ground up.” – IDIOTEQ

“In Slam / Brutal Death it is often the case that there is only one man behind it, but this is Nani Porter, a woman who takes care of everything. After a few singles and EPs, the lady presents her debut and a sample part gets tough, but not so quickly. The snare is set just right for me on the drum machine and you can hear it stapling wonderfully. I also think it’s great that the woman gets so deep with her voice and in the end there’s a lot of shooting. „From Flesh to Fluids“ starts at a crisp up pace and then bludgeons like crazy and Nani’s gargling is so intense that it almost ends in squeals. „Decapitation“ pushes forward properly before continuing at a pressing mid/slam pace and then sprinkling in a few shooting parts. „Slowly Poisoned“ lives up to its name because it is a tough and crawling track, after which „Battery Acid Enema“ is also played rather clumsily, But here and there it also goes up a gear. „Stomach Bile for Miles“ starts like a battlefield, but then drops more and more with clever breaks. We find rich stomping and robust riffs in „Family Photo with Hella Cadavers“, which then arrives at a crawling pace and rough squeals. „Left Over Limbs for Later“ is pure slam death, there’s a lot of crawling going on here, the coarse vocals have power and power that it gets through your bones. „Tools for Torture“ also holds back when it comes to tempo, but when it comes to brutality the track is high up and in the end „“Skin Tortilla“ is a really crushing song. For me, what the lady is pulling out of the hat is strong” – FFM-Rock

Canadian aggro-metal troupe CHÜZO has a knock-out music video that is sure to leave you “Bruised and Broken”. The video is in support of the Montreal band’s latest EP “M.T.M.D (Maximum Threshold, Minimum Decay)” produced with Kevin Jardine (Slaves On Dope, Uplift Recording Studio), and unleashed this past October.

“This track is about being pushed, provoked, and instigated to the point of no return. When in life one encounters certain individuals whose existence is to only make you angry and enraged; to bully you and disrespect you beyond aggravation, and the inevitable result that losing your temper and seeing red does to the individual being provoked and instigated is what this track is about. The utter destruction and devastation that awaits the foolish person who dares to provoke a person who has been pushed to the edge of human insanity; fuck around and find out!” adds the band.

The music video for “Bruised and Broken” can be seen and heard via its premiere on NoCleanSinging HERE.

CHÜZO‘s new EP “M.T.M.D (Maximum Threshold, Minimum Decay)” is a three-track record that marks the next chapter and a true representation of what the quartet’s sound is meant to be.

“This new EP was to showcase our new lineup with our newest songs that are truly representative of our musical style, a style that we proudly call ‘Aggro-Metal.’ Very aggressive metal songs that have relatable themes that anyone can listen to and understand. This EP is our audio shotgun blast to the world to pay attention to and to mosh intensively during our live sets.” adds guitarist Cristian S.

CHÜZO‘s new lineup features the ensnaring vocals of Taiwanese Brazilian transplant Mischa M joining local first-generation Chilean Canadian and mastermind Cristian S. along with Carlos G from Venezuela and Alex S from Russia who all have found Montreal, Canada to be their home-to-breed their blender of grindcore, Swedish death metal, thrash, and hardcore punk to transform a sub-genre dubbed ‘Aggro Metal’.

The EP’s lyrics are driven by self-reflection and daily struggles. The inspiration for writing comes from life experiences and trying to live past them, especially the traumatic ones. Using all bad energy from bad experiences to create something positive for yourself and the world. This EP speaks of vengeance and the bad side of dedicating your life to achieving your desired revenge despite your own life and sanity. Brutal Social Justice.

For fans of Sepultura (Cavalera Bros era 84-96), At the Gates, Napalm Death, Slipknot, and Fuck the Facts, “M.T.M.D (Maximum Threshold, Minimum Decay)” was released on November 15, 2024.

Canadian College Radio Loud Charts – December 2024 – top 20 loud #20 – CHÜZO – M.T.M.D.

“‘A Brazilian vocalist, a Chilean guitarist, a Russian bassist and a Venezuelan drummer walk into a Montreal metal bar’ might sound like the beginning of a borderline funny joke, but it, in a roundabout way, speaks to the christening of thrash, punk, death-beat quartet CHÜZO. The band’s latest EP — M.T.M.D.(Maximum Threshold, Minimum Decay) — is the latest in a long line of releases since forming in 2020 and sees the light of day today. The band has a lot to say about their latest endeavour, but fans of old Sepultura, Napalm Death, At the Gates and Fuck the Facts should find something of interest ” – Decibel Magazine

“The band has just released M.T.M.D., an acronym that stands for Maximum Threshold, Minimum Decay, to testify how high the group’s ambitions are. The perspective could at first glance be assimilated to that of the variegated groove metal universe, but on closer inspection there is much more in the folds of the individual songs, characterized by the desire to release vital energy and give voice to impulses, emotions, feelings. The sound matrix is brutal, at times unstoppable, and characterized by the fierce performance of the gritty Mischa Mai microphones: combining power, imagination and a pinch of healthy madness the quartet gave full demonstration of their qualities.” – Rock Hard Italy

“M.T.M.D is a crucial chapter in Chüzo’s evolution, showcasing a lineup that’s finally found its voice. Their journey is a testament to the transformative power of music and the ability to channel personal struggles into a collective outcry for justice.” – Amplify The Noise

“It might be something of a cliché but it remains true; this isn’t simply an EP. It’s a promo for helping Chüzo find a major label for a debut full length… [8/10]” – Metal Noise

“CHÜZO have achieved several things on “MTMD (Maximum Threshold, Minimum Decay)” that other bands dream of for an entire career. On the one hand, the clever balancing act is impressive between old school credibility and new school influences. A factor that plays a striking role in the overall absolutely high-class work is that Canadians walk in a straightforward and focused manner in the ear. The three songs on the EP entitled “MTMD” are fast-paced in nature, mill into the ear canals at massive speed and –’s most important aspect – remains there… The EP is catchy, intense and yet has matured, multi-layered and serious Half-life to be equipped. Conclusion: Check in, buy, leave, killer!” – Metal Division Magazine

“Their common points: knowing how to intelligently mix the best of grindcore mixed with Swedish death, with a touch of hardcore thrash from a punk perspective. Chüzo calls his music, « Aggro Metal ». The theme of their songs, telling their life experiences, shouting their anger at the traumas experienced. The kind of text that allows you to let off steam and make yourself understood even if you have gaps in English. Chüzo is a sort of best of aggressive metal music with this vengeful punk attitude: Chüzo would be a disciple of Napalm Death. Damn their music is good to hear. For fans of Sepultura and the Cavalera brothers, Chüzo is for you, Cristian S. sings with the same kind of vocal intonation as Max C. For Christmas, I would like Chüzo to tour the old continent within the next 2 years. If I had the means, I would participate financially in their future tour. There are small (et larger) concert halls waiting for you. The day we can do a concert at the Kjbi, Chuzo is automatically on the bill” – Margoth PDF Webzine
