Canadian Grant Slayer To The Rescue! Kami Van Halst Offers Music Business Planning Master Class For The Heavy Genre!

Vocalist, musician, and entrepreneur Kami Van Halst announces the launch of “The Canadian Grant Slayer”, a resource for musicians to become more successful in their grant writing and fundraising pursuits. Especially those in a heavier genre. She has already written and published three workbooks on Business Planning for Musicians, Marketing Plans for Musicians, and Marketing Plans for Filmmakers.

Kami is offering a Music Business Planning Master Class launching on April 1st that will cover topics to aid artists on grant consultation, grant editing, tips on grant applications, music marketing plans, film marketing plans, and business planning for musician books.

“I spent the last few years creating these resources and I really want to help musicians become more successful in their grant writing and fundraising pursuits. After years of failed applications, I finally unearthed the secrets of a successful arts grant application. These templates that I use have yielded me six figures of funding so I know they work.” adds Kami.

Since 2013, Kami has successfully helped many artists across Canada receive financial support for their projects. Everything from music, to film to fine art and more. In 2016, Kami’s band “Van Halst” was the first of its kind to receive a small business grant in Toronto and that’s when she became the Grant Slayer!

She has compiled all her resources into easy-to-understand workbooks. Topics include Marketing plans for musicians, marketing plans for filmmakers, and Business Plans for Musicians.

She also has a comprehensive list of all the grants available in Canada (music & film specific) available on her website and it includes live updates as they become available.

“All in all these resources have been created out of the templates that I personally use when creating my funding applications and I’m looking to share them with as many musicians as possible. Grant writing can be really jarring and I’m hoping this allows more musicians to feel confident in their ability to apply,” says Kami.
