Epic Symphonic Metal OPERUS (ft. members ex-Annihilator, ex-Vital Remains, Skull Fist, Primalfrost) Release New Music Video “Lost”

New Album Out Now! “Score of Nightmares” via Pride & Joy Music

Operus Line Up (L-R)
Dean Paul Arnold (Guitar), Wojtek Sokolowski (Bass, Backing Vocals), David Michael Moote (Lead Vocals),
Oscar Rangel (Guitar, Backing Vocals, Growls), Robin Howe (Cello, Backing Vocals), JJ Tartaglia (Drums)

Canadian epic symphonic metal band, Operus has a new music video for their single “Lost” off their latest album “Score of Nightmares” released through German label Pride & Joy Music during June 2020.

The vision behind the new video is that of a journey through an inner self-created metaphoric world of being lost along with the feeling of self-doubt and the inevitable anxiety of running out of time. The video’s purpose is to demonstrate that we all need guidance and that although our time here isn’t infinite, what we do with our “sands of time” is the most important.

The visually stunning music video was filmed by Joe Lyko of Dark Moon Productions and features Bunny Noire in the role of the “Lost Girl”, which can be viewed at the following link: https://youtu.be/vaQ_8iub-dw

Operus‘ latest album “Score of Nightmares” follows their 2017 album “Cenotaph” (Darkstar Records) and 2015 debut EP “Opus I” (Boonsdale Records).

Recommended for fans of Nightwish, Opeth, Wintersun, Kamelot, Epica, Symphony X, and Helloween, “Score of Nightmares” can be heard at the following links:

The band has performed on such events as Wacken Open Air in Germany plus Force Fest and Hell & Heaven in Mexico in addition to opening for power metal heavy hitters Sonata Arctica and supporting the Rhapsody Reunion Tour.

The band features Robin Howe, Oscar Rangel (ex-Annihilator), Dean Paul Arnold (Primalfrost, ex-Vital Remains), JJ Tartaglia (Skull Fist), Wojciech Sokolowski (ex-Eclipse Eternal) and David Michael Moote (leading roles in professional theatrical productions such as Jukebox Hero and Beauty & the Beast).

Producing technical groovy death metal rooted in musical duality and lyricism, Winnipeg, MB’s INVERTED SERENITY are streaming the next single‘Breath of Life’ off their upcoming album ‘Integral’ due out on October 9th to follow up their 2013 debut ‘Manifestation of Eternity In A World of Time’.

The band comments about the track:

“This track is the longest on the record and is definitely one of the most impressive songs structurally. Beginning with a doom inspired riff that picks itself up into an uplifting proggy type groove which then unexpectedly turns itself into an atmospheric black metal passage is just one of the many interesting changes the song paints itself into. This is also the first track that we as a band chose to include clean group vocals with pan out really smoothly with the dissonant acoustic guitar riff written by Tomas a few years prior. The theme discussed in the lyrics is based upon balancing of mind as it increasingly unfolds itself unto the realization that it is the observer of all that is. Through the process knowing the rhythmic balanced interchange of natures polarity (inhalation/exhalation), the endless unfolding is fully expressed.”

About:

INVERTED SERENITY‘s music is a gateway into the infinite fractal nature of the minds of Drew (Parasitism) on guitar, backing vocals, Ben (Moira) on drums, backing vocals, Tom on bass, lead vocals, and Marco on guitar. Topics are inspired from works of many psychonaughts akin to Carl Jung, involving transcendental, philosophies, global tribe mentality, the impermanence of the physical world, and alchemy. Their riffs range from atmospheric black-metal grooves, old-school inspired death metal passages, thrash riffs, progressive technical journeys, and everything in between.

Their upcoming album ‘Integral’ was about a two year process, which began even before the release of their 2013 debut album ‘Manifestation of Eternity in a World of Time”. The instrumentation took about a year, then they began pre-production in the Summer of 2014 with Iko Lucic (credits). Their influences collectively are mainly Gojira, Decrepit Birth, Beyond Creation, Lamb of God, and Decapitated, but they enjoy all genres of music, which enhances their creative diversity.

Inverted Serenity live are extremely energetic with an onslaught of different styles and tempo changes that surprise the listener and keep them entertained. The heavy four piece is releasing ‘Integral’ on October 9, 2015 and is a transcendental experience for listeners as they reach the end of the album they will become whole.

“Yes, they are tech-death at their heavy metal core but there are so many elements thrown in it’s really just Nukin Futz! Listening to this one I hear flashes of all metal genres from thrash to djent to pure old school death metal to nu-metal plus a dozen more I could list off here. All of that could seem a little chaotic like a band searching for an identity but I said “flashes” and I meant just that.” –Thy Demons Be Scribblin

Edmonton’s own Tylor Dory Trio have paired up with PureGrainAudio.com to offer a free stream and download of their single ‘Time, The Beholder’ to introduce people to their prog-metal, rock fusion that is their new EP ‘Carried Away.’ Jonathan Webster (Drums and Backing Vocals) had this to say about the EP,

“The songs on Carried Away are some of the first that we wrote together as a three piece, and really capture the dark, moody, and more complex elements of the band. They embrace both the high and low energy of progressive music as well as some of the brutality of metal with a sense of melody that binds it all together. We definitely pay homage to our influences here, but tried to do so in a way that it stands on its own, rather than in the shadow of those influences. As well, we were able to work with some of the best names in the international progressive/metal scene along the way, and are very excited to share our labour of love with you.”

About:

Edmonton’s own Tylor Dory Trio are creating pummeling rock-infused progressive metal with their soaring yet haunting vocals and subtle harmonies draped over technically driven guitar riffs.

Formerly known as Illusive Man, the Tylor Dory Trio features Jonathan Webster on drums and backing vocals, Slava Fedossenko on bass and backing vocals, and of course — Tylor Dory (Death Toll Rising, Villanizer) on guitar and vocals.

The band carries their influences like a badge of honour due to the fact that they are all incredibly diverse – Rush, Alice In Chains, Tool, and Devin Townsend. The intention of the group is to create non-genre specific music drawing from all realms of influence; metal, progressive, grunge, and anything else that inspires them.

Their debut EP “Carried Away” is set to be released September 25, 2015. The band is currently recording a follow-up to be mixed and mastered by Christer-André Cederberg beginning later in 2015.

“It’s not often that you get to say that a band is different, but with the Tylor Dory Trio there is a uniqueness to their sound, a genre on its own. The Tylor Dory Trio introduces us to Progressive Grunge.”- Danny Fournier, Oddball Productions

“Being an Opeth fan, I can’t help but to find similitudes between both bands, but to reduce Tylor Dory Trio(Illusive Man) as an Opeth clone would be too simplistic. The band has a lot of influences, ranging from Dream Theater to Strapping Young Lad to Protest the Hero, it is quite an interesting mix.” – Metal Made In Canada
