Utah’s Arsenic Addiction has a new music video “Moon & Sun” to unveil, which comes from their 2019 album “XIX”. As their third album, it shows a grown-up version of the band that has moved away from the theatrical Victorian theme they first embraced as a group. It is the longest they have spent writing and recording as they decided to focus on quality rather than just getting something out. This precision and attention to detail carries forward in the cinematic video for “Moon & Sun”.

According to the band, this single has been their biggest challenge to date as they set out to tell a tale that some of us know all too well. The band explains further:

“Star-crossed lovers, twin flames, but in their most tumultuous form. Everything was shot in the studio, which is something we’ve never done before. We had to create everything ourselves from the sets to the props, lighting, make-up, costumes, and supporting creations from some talented artists we admire. All of our videos have been ‘DIY’, but this time we didn’t have the beauty and awe of nature to rely on to help tell the story. An ancient archetype occurring in mythos throughout eternity, across the earth, from the stars above to the underworld below.  This is merely our story of ‘Moon & Sun’”.

5 years of hard work, late nights, band lineup changes, and dedication have cumulated into “XIX” and the listener should feel as though they are experiencing a journey of another’s love, sadness, anger, and pain. It’s laid out to feel as though you have walked in on the solitary practice of a witch, her life, her experiences, her secrets, her black rites.

“Moon & Sun” was filmed and directed by Brian Medeiros, and features costume pieces by Tuahadedana Germany, Hysteria Machine UK and Aconite Creations UK.

Dark, gothic and heavily melodic, Arsenic Addiction is recommended for fans of Cradle of Filth, Behemoth and In This Moment.

The video for “Moon & Sun” can be viewed via its premiere on NoCleanSinging HERE.

“XIX” was released on September 23, 2019.

Arsenic Addiction‘s “XIX” is available on Arsenicaddiction.bandcamp.com, Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon.

New EP “Aspect of Creation” Out June 18th, 2021

Vancouver’s Param-Nesia are unleashing their new EP “Aspect of Creation” unto the world and listeners are invited to check out the full stream right now via its premiere on Slam Worldwide’s YouTube channel – https://youtu.be/Gk799etA3x8

Compared to the first EP “The Beginning” (2019), this new offering is a big step up in production and quality and will definitely get listeners rowdy. The band explains in more detail:

“It is more focused and balanced in its direction. The overall sound isn’t one specific thing. Some songs have a more melodic, triumphant vibe, while others a more somber, slower groove. But that’s the fun part, each one is a testament to the moment it was conceived, and a reflection of the evolving musical inspirations of each band member at that time.”

They go on to share that there have been lineup changes in the last couple of years and a new dynamic bloomed. They are confident that the current lineup will take the band far, releasing more music and touring as soon as they are able. Meshing melody and brutality, they tell wild tales intended to take the listener on a journey.

The five-track EP is groovy and captivating and each song flows from one to the next. The band remarks that guitarist Andy Cahalin is the primary songwriter, but all members have input in the final work. Lyrically, the music inspires certain words to fit the mood of the music, and a couple of songs have been written from an emotional experience, with lyrics later being distilled to speak about that.

Any discerning metalhead who enjoys tech death and melody will find Param-Nesia of interest, especially those with a liking for At the Gates, Arch Enemy and Revocation.

“Aspect of Creation” comes out June 18, 2021.

“Aspect of Creation” is exactly that Death Metal that Chuck Schuldiner would have wished for in 2021.” – Stormbringer

“Aspect of Creation is a powerful slab of melodeath that takes listeners on a sonic journey.” – Noob Heavy

“Melodic riffs permeate the record and the group displays great rhythmic precision. I have a soft spot for guitarists that give their picking hands and rhythm-brain a work out with their riffs. Opening track “Pestilence of Man” is chock full of this variety of riffage. There’s tight gallops everywhere and some tasty guitar harmonies at just the right moments.’ – Noob Heavy

“Taking you on a journey with a diverse mix of subgenres ranging from Melodic Death Metal, Thrash, Metalcore and Prog Rock, Param Nesia showcase their sound with a beautiful yet melodic soundscape, spiced up with atmospheric overtures.” – Stargazer Music Magazine

“The five tracks of this new Ep are a good mix of melodic riffs and a remarkable technical death metal, which give the listener a considerable sonic impact. A heart-pounding start with “Pestilence”, where power and energy are the two details that make this open track truly devastating.” – Music Webzine

“The vocalist definitely has some The Black Dahlia Murder ish kind of vocals so I definitely dig that, and the other musical elements definitely pull together for a bit of a unique take on modern death/thrash metal.” – Zrockr Magazine

“A work with an exceptional sample of technique, speed and strength, with great guitar solos and high-quality instrumental moments. A style that at times reminded me of the great Allegaeon and their characteristic pauses.” – Riff of Metal

NEWS RELEASE

Montreal, QC – May 27, 2021

For fans of Black Dahlia Murder, Allegaeon, At the Gates, Arch Enemy, Revocation

Vancouver’s Param-Nesia Bind Savagery And Harmony Together In “Forsaken”

Track Premiere via Bravewords

New EP “Aspect of Creation” Out June 18th, 2021

Param-Nesia, hailing from Vancouver, Canada are dishing out a new EP this year, “Aspect Of Creation”. This is their second technical death metal offering following “The Beginning” released in 2019. Today, they are dropping their next single “Forsaken” for your headbanging needs, which can be heard via its premiere on Bravewords HERE.

The band explains the track:

“Forsaken takes things in a more melodic direction, a bit more flair in the melodies, while still retaining the heaviness of the intro song before it (“Pestilence of Man”). It is distinguished by the harmonies and leads with savage vocal accompaniment and a powerful outro.”

Param-Nesia intends to take listeners through a story with their extreme metal, they don’t use traditional song structure, instead, they opt for something that flows and progresses in an engaging way. Their music is written from life experiences with emotion and heart put into it.

For Param-Nesia, all of the main writing is composed by lead guitarist Andy Cahalin, his process is usually stringing together several riffs, then recording a rough draft to go over with the band. The lyrics are written between vocalist Cayle Charlton and Cahalin. For Charlton, the lyrics are based in life experience such as heartbreak, or struggle with overcoming obstacles to grow from the experiences; for Cahalin, the lyrics are usually inspired by all the crazy fantasy fiction books he reads!

The five tracks on the forthcoming EP cross subgenre boundaries making this brutal assault applicable for most metalheads, especially fans of The Black Dahlia Murder, Allegaeon, and At the Gates.

“Aspect of Creation” comes out June 18, 2021.

Montreal, QC – May 12, 2021

For fans of Black Dahlia Murder, Allegaeon, At the Gates, Arch Enemy, Revocation

Canada’s Param-Nesia Are Serving Fresh Technical Death Metal With “Pestilence of Man” Off  “Aspect of Creation”

Music Video Premiere via The Circle Pit

EP “Aspect of Creation” Out June 18th, 2021

Param-Nesia comes roaring out of Vancouver, Canada with a mission to bring their new EP “Aspect of Creation” to metal fans around the world. Ready to fuel the incoming tech-death fire, the band is giving fans a preview of the record with their music video “Pestilence of Man”, which can be viewed via its premiere on The Circle Pit YouTube channel – https://youtu.be/1jbpbQiwBt0

Their second release after 2019’s EP “The Beginning”, “Aspect of Creation” is heavy, melodic, and rides through technical death metal that will take you on an adventure. Param-Nesia explains how the single came to be in their own words:

“Devastating brutality delivered in a groove-driven whirlwind. This song kicks off with a war cry-worthy group vocal chant backed by pulverizing guitar and drum work. Book tomorrow off, your neck will be sore! This song was initially inspired in the most ridiculous way, Andy Cahalin wrote a riff, (the intro) played in a fast rushed feeling way, then a Doctor Pepper/Dr. Dre commercial inspired him to SLOW IT DOWN, and the song found its groove. Absolutely insane, but it’s the truth!”

Param-Nesia comes from the mind of Andy Cahalin who has been writing and recording solo for years while searching for the right members to begin this project. The ultimate goal is to write solid, fun songs, record and release albums, and tour/gig as much as possible. While fans will have to wait for a live performance, they can look forward to a lot of energy, rocking out, big smiles, and tight playing.

The five tracks on the EP cross subgenre boundaries making this brutal assault applicable for most metalheads, especially fans of The Black Dahlia Murder, Allegaeon and At the Gates.

“Aspect of Creation” comes out June 18, 2021.

Salt Lake City’s Arsenic Addiction’s released their fourth album “XIX” in September 2019, and in support of the record, they released the visually stunning video “Fire” featuring UTAH’s salt flats as a backdrop. Today, the band is excited to present their next breathtaking video filmed and directed once again by Brian Medeiros for their track “Maleficium” and this time they have changed altitudes to hit the snow-capped peaks of UTAH’S mountains.

The band adds about the track:

“The working title for this song was Malleus Maleficarum, it translates to The Hammer of Witches. A book and nickname for a clergyman who was discredited by the catholic church about the finding, extermination, and torture procedures for witches.
Exodus 22:18  ‘ Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live ‘

The song itself is pretty straightforward as it is about patriarchal ideals against not only women, but anyone who dares to love differently, dress differently, and act out of the accepted norm. This song was written very specifically for our vocalist Lady Arsenic and her experiences and accusations of ‘being a witch’ in the sense of a seductress, whore, etc., for being an openly polyamorous woman, treated as though she has control over the thoughts and feelings of others and that she is somehow responsible for their actions (WITCHCRAFT!). It’s petty martyrdom, but it was very cathartic to write”

The music video for “Maleficium” can be viewed via its premiere on MetalInjection HERE.

Arsenic Addiction‘s latest full length “XIX” is the story of an outsider, those who dare to be different, strange, or unusual and are made out to be monsters, demons, or witches because of it. It’s the journey of the human soul from a feminine perspective experiencing love, hate, finding inner power, and making deals with the devil to conquer those who would stand in the way of that power.

Although the music of Arsenic Addiction has evolved in style over the years, the reason has always been the same: to create art, connect with others, and express emotions/complex issues about love, death, and the world that are difficult to convey with mere words.

A wide range of emotions is packed into Arsenic Addiction’s music, which blends gothic, melodic, and death elements. It is well suited for fans of Cradle of Filth, Behemoth, and In This Moment.

Arsenic Addiction‘s “XIX” is available on Arsenicaddiction.bandcamp.com, Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon.

Salt Lake City’s Arsenic Addiction’s released a fourth album, “XIX” in September 2019 and now have a creative and breathtaking video to complement the track “Fire”.  Clad in red against the barren stretches of the salt flats, Arsenic Addiction pulls out all the stops in this captivating video. They explain the track in their own words:

“We chose to write Fire in its beautiful and ultimately destructive form. The song itself is meant to embody the fiery emotions of passion, love, pain, war, revenge, survival, religious trauma. It is the pact all witches make with the devil, it is freedom. Burning bridges and staying to watch every ember burn into nothingness.”

The promotion of “XIX” was unfortunately stunted by having to quarantine and live shows being put on hiatus, however, fans can still enjoy going on a journey through another’s love, sadness, anger, and pain. It’s laid out to feel as though you have walked in on the solitary practice of a witch, her life, her experiences, her secrets, her black rites.

“XIX” is the story of an outsider, those who dare to be different, strange, or unusual and are made out to be monsters, demons, or witches because of it. It’s the journey of the human soul from a feminine perspective experiencing love, hate, finding inner power, and making deals with the devil to conquer those who would stand in the way of that power.

The band explains the video and track:

“The song ‘Blood Lightning’ is about having such an extreme passion for something so much so that it sets your soul on fire, for better or for worse. It is the endless struggle of putting your blood, sweat, and tears into something and receiving next to nothing in return. However, when you do catch a glimpse of your progress, it is enough to keep pushing forward even when you are constantly being beaten down and put to war. The music video for ‘Blood Lightning’ showcases all of the physical, emotional, financial, etc. Hard work that is put into pursuing your dreams in music. The shots taken to look like the set of a video shoot are meant to resemble the business aspect/ behind the scenes work of being a musician, but also the high of performing live and seeing your visions come to life. While the single shots of each member in the middle of a storm are meant to display the emotional sacrifices and hardships that each individual goes through.”

“Along comes Canada, showing the world that independent unsigned metal bands can kick just as much ass, if not more, than any act on the Nuclear Blasts or Metal Blades or Roadrunners out there. Now on their third EP since 2015, Ontario’s Lutharö keep going from strength to strength as their sound expands… pick up Wings Of Agony – digitally or physically – and support independent artists who are as good as this. If the sheer impact behind Lutharö can’t convince you that the metal community continues to go from strength to strength, then I do not want to be your friend. 9/10. Fantastic.” – Metal Observer

“Bringing a fresh take on Heavy Metal to listeners around the world, this up-and-coming Canadian band returns with a darker yet still very melodic sound in their brand new (and excellent) EP… Krista and her henchmen are undeniably talented, crazy for metal music and extremely focused on what they do, spreading their wings all over Canada and soon the world with their breathtaking music for our total delight.” – The Headbanging Moose

“Should you feel the need for either power metal or melodic death metal that’s just a little bit different, “Wings of Agony” is definitely for you.” – Skull Fracturing Metal

“Epic in its ambition, scope and delivery, it is a powerhouse of a release, combining elements of power metal and thrash with accurate alactrity. With each of the five songs linked by a theme of following your dreams and passions, it has a consistency of approach that permeates every pore of its being. The songs are superbly written and constructed, with plenty of thought put into them, and this is aided by the hugely complementary performances from each of the five band members, and especially the wonderful use of clean and growled vocals… sort of like Lacuna Coil but without the symphonic elements. This is a magnificent slice of powerful heavy metal from a band that deserve every accolade that will undoubtedly come their way when this hits the shelves at the end of the month. Glorious in extremis.” – Uber Rock

Prior to unleashing their fourth studio album “The Last Extinction” this past May, Montreal melodic death metal quintet [EVERTRAPPED] shared the music video for the single “Sorrow (Nothing More In Between)”. Today, the band is showing fans the behind the scenes shooting of the video, which was filmed at the top of a high rise building in downtown Montreal during a very hot and humid day.

Watch the band’s endurance during the “Making of Sorrow (Nothing More In Between)” HERE.

The music video for “Sorrow (Nothing More In Between)” can be viewed HERE.

[Evertrapped]’s new album “The Last Extinction” is also being offered by the band for download on Bandcamp for only $1 HERE along with it available on Spotify and Apple Music.

Released on May 22, 2020, “The Last Extinction” is a mix of the band’s sound that was defined on “The Anomaly” (2012) and “Under The Deep” (2015). With influences ranging from death metal to melodic death primarily, along with some classic thrash and speed metal, which explains their technicality and diversity sonically, the album overall will give fans a very heavy post-apocalypse feel. It’s meant to mix the dark and light of the end of all things. Fans of Arch Enemy, Persefone, Whitechapel, Death, and Fleshgod Apocalypse will feel the whirlwind of aggression.

Vocalist James Brookes adds:

“The album overall has a very heavy post-apocalypse feel. It’s meant to mix the dark and light of the end of all things. For example, how the end would bring about great darkness so to speak in our minuscule occupied area of the universe, but at the same time it brings about this unexpected sense of bittersweet relief. Some songs are more down to earth in their subject matter but none the less written in an abstract way, whereas others take a more third-person look at this apocalyptic feel from a universal standpoint. I suppose the genre of the lyrics would be an equal mix of science fiction, fantasy, and dystopia.”

Since 2007, [Evertrapped] has brought together their collective experience from the Montreal metal scene to create their heavy brand of melodic death metal. The guitarists Frederick Dupuis (ex-Daggerfalls) and Vincent Benoit hammer out raw guitar while drummer Eric Lemire (ex-Apocalypsys, ex-Ice Castle) pummels the drums. Their versatile frontman James Brookes (ex-Ammonia, ex-One Final Moment, Continuum) easily alternates between strong clear vocals and low bellowing screams giving listeners the illusion of more than one vocalist. John Yates (ex-AraPacis) weaves together each song with his driving bass lines to keep the energy of the punishing track at an all-time high.

Their lyrics come from two places. One from the dark and exaggerated metaphors for things actually based on personal events. The other is lyrics that are only loosely based in reality and have an almost fantasy-like appeal. Sometimes the reality can be based on what could be the actual state of the world as it is or an image of a future where the world is on the brink of an apocalypse. The overall idea is that the lyrics are not meant to be understood at face value in any way. It’s an art form that’s open to interpretation by the listener.

Track Listing:
1. Sorrow (Nothing More In Between) (7:35)
2. Truth Behind Disorder (5:30)
3. Across The Disease (5:49)
4. Titan (5:52)
5. The First Machine (5:59)
6. The Last Extinction (6:10)

“If you’re looking for some heavy Lamb Of God vibes, heavier than the newer Lamb Of God has to offer, this is the band you’ve been needing in your life. The main chunk of the song(Sorrow (Nothing More In Between)) is straight to the point heavy metal. Harsh, aggressive, and ready to go.” – Metal Injection

“Canada’s Evertrapped show mainstream appeal to their music and come out with an aggressive, yet melodic mindset on their 4th release. The songs are alternative metal in nature and feature an accessible sound. They are abrasive in an almost hardcore manner, but manage to be simplistic at the same time. The Last Extinction is pleasing to listen to, but heavy enough to have a more metallic appeal… Evertrapped should appeal to a variety of music fans.” – Heavy Music Headquarters“The Canadian band needs very little time to demonstrate their interpretation of melodic extreme metal. Unlike the polished styles of the subgenre, this is a bit nastier, more rambunctious, with a certain groove/thrash anger. It is melodic extreme metal but with a grimy, dirty street anger or toughness.” – The Metal Bulletin

“The fourth album from [Evertrapped] will charm a lot of people who are into melodic death metal.” – Grimm Gent

” These guys cover several bases sonically at the same time, giving them an edge – and an unexpected addition to my summer listening!” 100 Percent Rock

With roots in classic death and thrash metal, Montreal melodic death metallers Your Last Wish are darker, heavier, and have matured in their sound. Unleashing their latest concept album “Eradicate” this past February, the full length beautifully exploits post-apocalyptic themes. It is a bilingual album with songs in both English and French along with being composed and recorded entirely by guitarist David Gagné, while all lyrics were written by vocalist Roxana Bouchard. But behind every album, there’s also a monster machine creating the blast beats and the explosion of fury that engages every metalheads headbanging.

Today, the band is excited to focus on the man behind the kit, drummer extraordinaire, Blake Lemieux, and the pummeling assault of his playthrough for “Exile”, a track with old school thrash influences that also introduces odd-time signatures.

Lemieux comments:

“With the talents of musicians that I work with it sure pushes me forward to become a better musician myself when I do these playthroughs. This one originally started off as a band video and then I thought why not make it a drum one too. So now there are two videos of the same song. I had as much fun making this video as I did recording it in the studio with Kevin Jardine (Uplift Productions, Slaves On Dope) along with Steve Vac, the guy who made the video and did an incredible job.”

Watch the drum playthrough via its premiere on Sick Drummer Magazine HERE.

For fans of old school Arch Enemy, Soilwork, and Black Dahlia Murder, “Eradicate” is available for stream and download on Bandcamp.com, Spotify, Apple Music.

‘Sparks Fly” w/ DEMISE OF THE CROWN Music Video Premiere via NewFuryMedia

New Album “Life In The City” Out Now!

Brandish your weapons and bare your teeth in the battle for new world order with metal quintet, Demise Of The Crown. Garnering a reputation for redefining modern metal with a sound that is a melting pot of styles, catchy choruses alongside explosive guitar solos reminiscent of Eddie Van Halen with undertones of Yngwie Malmsteen topped off with frontman Darren Beadman’s striking vocal techniques, the Montreal band unleashed their new album “Life In The City” this past April.

Teaming up with NewFuryMedia, Demise of The Crown is excited to premiere their new music video ‘Sparks Fly’ HERE.

Demise of The Crown‘s music, written by guitarist Manuel Iradian and vocalist Darren Beadman, uses standard pop music songwriting skills to hook listeners into their irresistible and melodic metal sound. Iradian writes all the music, then hands it off to Kevin “Kevy Metal” to dress up each song with his high-speed, galloping rhythms, finally, Beadman crafts the anthemic lyrics rousing crowds to chant along with an anarchistic frenzy. Each song is rooted in all basic human emotions; anger, lust, depression, happiness, death, and revenge.

Each member has spent their time paying dues in the Montreal metal scene and they have banded together with the same goal and vision of a band determined to shake the foundation of power metal. The current lineup of Beadman (vocals), Iradian (guitars), Kevin Alexander (drums), Simon Doiron (bass) and Vince Doiron (guitar) has been going strong over the years playing a plethora of gigs in their area and releasing their debut self-titled record in 2016.

Influenced by headliners like Nevermore, Avenged Sevenfold, Opeth, Pantera, and Faith No More, the band is working their way up the royal bloodline to cause chaos right alongside their heroes.

Demise of The Crown‘s new album “Life In The City” is available on Bandcamp, Spotify, Apple Music.

“The track kicks into high gear right away with some intense riffing before quickly transitioning into a more melodic and calming verse which has a nice contrast to the heaviness of the rest of the song. Fast and heavy, yet harmonic and well-composed, “Dying Heat” is sure to get the crowd simultaneously moshing and singing along.” – GearGods

“This is a banger. Let’s get that clear from the start. Demise of the Crown delivering a god-damn energetic and memorable metal album that really does walk the line between genius and madness. From keeping it fairly straight-forward and heavy with opener Dying Heat to the wild and hyper rock riffing and savage moments of the self titled finale. It’s a very enjoyable listen.” – Games, Brrraaains & A Head-Banging Life

“Life In The City”, Modern Meets Classic Metal “Canada’s DEMISE OF THE CROWN is a perfect combination of Modern and Classic European Metal, somehow they bridge the gap of decades of Metal to come up with a sound that any Metal fan will appreciate.” – Rock Reloaded Radio

“Everything about Life In The City builds on the foundations laid by the self-titled debut. So, whilst being clearly very much the same band, Life In The City becomes Demise of the Crown +…. Beadman truly has all the tools to become one of heavy metal’s key vocalists moving forward. An explosive mix of Ripper Owens, Russell Allen and Archon Angel‘s Zachary Stevens, there appears to be literally nothing in the world of heavy metal vocalising that lies beyond his impressive grasp… This really is a band on the up-and-up, and they deserve your patronage.” – Sentinel Daily

““Dying Heat,”kicks off proceedings with a battering ram of a riff. From there it works its way around, slowly slamming the breaks and getting into breakdown territory. As things go from there, the vocals come in and haunt the living daylights out of the listener. ” – The Median Man
