NEWS RELEASE

Montreal, QC – October 14, 2024

Canadian Thrashers TRISKELYON’s New Video Dissects “Sealed Hypocrisy”

Third Album “Shattered Elysium” Out Now! via Moribund Records

Canadian thrash Triskelyon unleashed their third album, “Shattered Elysium” this past September via Moribund Records to follow”Artificial Insanity,” (2023) and “Downfall” (2022). With this lethal third strike, Triskelyon’s band leader Geoff Waye once again drafted some of the finest emissaries of the Canadian Metal scene.

Enlisting the vocal talents of guests Amanda Kiernan (Into Eternity, The Order of Chaos), Eric Forrest (E-Force, ex-VoiVod), Tiina Teal (Détente), Amanda Jackman (Category VI), Armin Kamal (Infrared), Dale Drew (Sea Dogs), Fíochmhar (Artach), and Des Mason & Pete Healey, this album detonates as a pure and true thrash metal masterpiece. It features a unique style and refreshing variations full of thrashing classics! Traditional yet intricate thrash drum duties are exceptionally executed by Raul Marques (Burning Torment), while Dwayne Pike, Keith Jackman (Category VI), Rick White, and Darrin Pope are conscripted on bass.

Today, Triskelyon presents their latest music video “Sealed Hypocrisy”, which features vocals from Amanda Kiernan (Into Eternity, The Order of Chaos).

Band founder and guitarist Geoff Waye comments:

“Without being overly specific, this song condemns hypocritical individuals or groups who present themselves as virtuous and morally superior, yet whose actions and true nature are deeply flawed and insincere. It expresses revulsion and anger towards these impostors, using vivid imagery to expose and punish their deceit. The song highlights the emptiness of their grand gestures, moral posturing, and empty virtue signaling, ultimately calling for the downfall of their hypocrisy. The video represents just a fraction of the types of groups and individuals that fit this description.”

Triskelyon’s new album “Shattered Elysium” runs the gamut from pure 80’s thrash and speed Metal to classic power Metal, and traditional metal, and even includes some brutal death-thrashers. It attains an impressive new milestone in classic thrash metal, with far-reaching appeal across all heavy metal sub-genres. “Shattered Elysium” truly resurrects the glory days of the 1980s, while maintaining a fresh and modern sound!

In keeping with Triskelyon‘s tradition of closing their albums with an iconic cover, this release delivers a thunderous metal rendition of Duran Duran’s mega-hit “Hungry Like the Wolf.” This powerful transformation is destined to become a radio sensation and ignite a storm of social media buzz!

““Hellbound Hellions” follows and is just a great tune. That scream in the beginning and I knew immediately that Pete Healey was back for another album with Waye. The last of the opening trio and it is a slayer. Killer thrash riffs and Healey’s soaring vocals and a really sick solo makes this one of my favorites on the album.4.5/5” – Metal Rules

“It’s refreshing, for once, to discover a thrash band that aren’t geared towards utter devastation but, rather, crafting a record that an audience can simply put on and vibe to. With more than forty-five minutes to work with, the band still stuck to their guns and applied songwriting that saw every minute feel earned and needed for what their performance entailed.” – The Razor’s Edge

“Waye has shown he can write in any metal style and the guys he got together to perform are world class. The production is pretty big too so, if you like Megadeth, Agent Steel, Exodus, Overkill, etc. then there will be something on here that you like. Me? I liked it all! Hopefully, Canadian metal will be taken a bit more seriously with this release.” – My Global Mind

“classical Thrash Metal tracks and many 80s vibes.” – Metal-Temple

“Heavy, pounding, in-your-face, power metal-laced thrash” – Metal Crypt

“A who’s who of musicians in the Canadian Thrash scene! Riffs and soloing are nothing short of fantastic!” – MetalNoise

“Powerful at the right point but also epic, with sharp and anthemic vocal parts” MetalHead.it

“Power-Thrash equipped with murderous riffs on a technically first-class level with changeable exciting vocal variability.” – FFM-Rock

Canadian Thrashers TRISKELYON To Unleash Third Album “Shattered Elysium” Sept 2024; Streaming Single “Anarchy Avenue”

Out Sept 27th via Moribund Records

Canadian thrash metal Gods Triskelyon have returned, delivering stainless steel fury on their highly anticipated third album, “Shattered Elysium” this coming September 27th from Moribund Records.

Founded in 2021 by guitarist Geoff Waye of the acclaimed true metal band Category VI, Triskelyon burst onto the scene with a self-titled EP, quickly securing a deal with Moribund Records for their radio chart-topping debut album “Downfall” (2022). In the following year, they demolished expectations with their masterful sophomore release, “Artificial Insanity,” which earned rave reviews and dominated the radio charts for six weeks!

Triskelyon is again back to enthralling the metal world with “Shattered Elysium”. With their lethal third strike, Triskelyon’s band leader Geoff Waye once again drafted some of the finest emissaries of the Canadian metal scene. Enlisting the vocal talents of guests Amanda Kiernan (Into Eternity, The Order of Chaos), Eric Forrest (E-Force, ex-VoiVod), Tiina Teal (Détente), Amanda Jackman (Category VI), Armin Kamal (Infrared), Dale Drew (Sea Dogs), Fíochmhar (Artach), Des Mason and Pete Healey, this album detonates as a pure and true thrash metal masterpiece.
In keeping with Triskelyon‘s tradition of closing their albums with an iconic cover, this release delivers a thunderous metal rendition of Duran Duran’s mega-hit “Hungry Like the Wolf.”

Today the band gives incite to the record with the first single “Anarchy Avenue”, which can be heard at the links below.

Geoff Waye adds about the track:

“For ‘Anarchy Avenue,’ I was thinking more about issues like urban decay, homelessness, corruption, the rich-poor divide, and how these factors contribute to the destruction and deterioration of some parts of cities. Problems like increased violence, crime, drug use, etc., all become more prevalent in such environments, as you can see in most cities. The vocals on this track are by returning guest Armin Kamal from the band Infrared. As always, he delivers a stellar performance with some guttural parts and plenty of soaring melodic thrash—how can you not love it?”

NEWS RELEASE

Montreal, QC – December 14, 2023

Canadian Thrashers TRISKELYON Re-Signs With Moribund Records For Two More Albums!

Led by guitarist and band founder Geoff Waye, Canadian thrashers Triskelyon announces they have re-signed with Moribund Records for two more albums to follow their latest second full-length “Artificial Insanity” (2023) and debut “Downfall” (2022) also released on the label.

Waye comments:

“I am pleased to announce that you will all be in for much more thrash metal madness for more albums on the Moribund label. Work has already begun on the third album, which will come out later in 2024! Thanks to Odin and everyone are Moribund for their ongoing support and belief in the Triskelyon mission.”

Moribund Records Odin Thompson / Label Manager also adds:

“Moribund Records are extremely pleased to announce we have extended our cooperation with the incredible Canadian Thrash Metal collective TRISKELYON for another 2 albums. We feel fortunate to be in a position to bring this awesome band’s music to the people and fans, and we look forward to another 2 incredible 80’s power / thrash metal style albums filled with all things Modern in Heavy Metal for 2024! Let the Thrash Metal Insanity Reign Forth!”

Triskelyon’s latest album “Artificial Insanity” (mixed and mastered by Michael Small (Winterhearth, Triskelyon, Artach)) was released this past September and features guests from the crème de le crème of the Canadian metal scene to create a varied album that delivers both pure thrash metal classics, hints of blackened melodic thrash, and enough power metal to bring one back to the 1980s. The full-length showcases the vocal talents of Amanda Jackman (Category VI), Armin Kamal (Infrared), Cara McCutchen (Mortillery, Naitaka), Dale Drew (Sea Dogs), Des Mason, Ellim, Pete Healey, Raúl Álvarez (Dark Order-Aus.) and Tim Tymo (Tymo). Drum duties on the record are shared between Raul Marques (Burning Torment) and Alexander Raykov (Antreib), while Dwayne Pike, Keith Jackman (Category VI), and Darrin Pope were conscripted on bass.

“While I composed all the music and penned the lyrics, the realization for “ARTIFICIAL INSANITY” became a reality thanks to the collaboration with a myriad of talented guests featured on the album.

Montreal, QC – September 15, 2023

Moribund Records – Canadian Thrashers TRISKELYON’s New Video Question’s “Is Hope Still Alive?”

New Album “Artificial Insanity” ft. guests From Infrared, TYMO, Category VI, Naitaka and More!

Unleashing their second studio album “Artificial Insanity” (mixed and mastered by Michael Small (Winterhearth, Triskelyon, Artach)) on Moribund Records this past September 8th, Canadian new power thrash Triskelyon is unveiling their newest music video for the track “Is Hope Still Alive”.

The song features vocals from Pete Healey and is about the continual destruction of the environment by humans. Guitarist Geoff Waye explains further:

“To address the question posed by the song’s title – my answer would be: No, it isn’t, to be honest. I lack faith in the capacity of humans, society, and corporations to make the necessary changes to put a stop to the continuous pollution of our planet. This topic intrigues me partly because it’s an area of personal interest, but also because I’ve drawn inspiration from the classic thrash bands of the 1980s. Many of these bands, such as Testament, Kreator, Nuclear Assault, and Megadeth, had songs that focused on pollution and environmental issues, and these tracks left a lasting impact on me.”

Watch and listen to “Is Still Hope Alive?” at https://youtu.be/ebuovsgw61Q

Led by guitarist and band founder Geoff Waye, Triskelyon’s second full-length “Artificial Insanity” follows their radio chart-topping debut album “Downfall” (2022) and features guests from the crème de le crème of the Canadian metal scene to create a varied album that delivers both pure thrash metal classics, hints of blackened melodic thrash, and enough power metal to bring one back to the 1980s. The full-length showcases the vocal talents of Amanda Jackman (Category VI), Armin Kamal (Infrared), Cara McCutchen (Mortillery, Naitaka), Dale Drew (Sea Dogs), Des Mason, Ellim, Pete Healey, Raúl Álvarez (Dark Order-Aus.) and Tim Tymo (Tymo). Drum duties on the record are shared between Raul Marques (Burning Torment) and Alexander Raykov (Antreib), while Dwayne Pike, Keith Jackman (Category VI), and Darrin Pope were conscripted on bass.

Geoff Waye comments:

“While I personally composed all the music and penned the lyrics, the realization for “ARTIFICIAL INSANITY” became a reality thanks to the collaboration with a myriad of talented guests featured on the album. I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to each and every one of them for their incredible contributions, and I hope for the possibility of working together again in the future.”

Triskelyon‘s “Artificial Insanity” is recommended for fans of Megadeth, Forbidden, Agent Steel, Exodus, Slayer, Testament, and Overkill.

Montreal, QC – September 8, 2023

Moribund Records – Out Now! Canadian Thrashers TRISKELYON New Album “Artificial Insanity” ft. Guests From Infrared, TYMO, Category VI, Naitaka and More!

+ New Music Video “Bringers of Chaos”

Canada’s new power thrash metal gods Triskelyon sophomore album “Artificial Insanity” (mixed and mastered by Michael Small (Winterhearth, Triskelyon, Artach)) is now available as of September 8th via Moribund Records. Drum duties on the record are shared between Raul Marques (Burning Torment) and Alexander Raykov (Antreib), while Dwayne Pike, Keith Jackman (Category VI), and Darrin Pope were conscripted on bass.

Geoff Waye comments:

“Today is the day! It marks the release of the second Triskelyon album, titled “ARTIFICIAL INSANITY.” While I personally composed all the music and penned the lyrics, the realization of this project became a reality thanks to the collaboration with a myriad of talented guests featured on the album. I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to each and every one of them for their incredible contributions, and I hope for the possibility of working together again in the future.”

In celebration of the album’s release, Triskelyon is proud to present a new music video for the song “Bringers of Chaos”. The track has a sci-fi theme, which aligns perfectly with Waye’s love for science fiction.

“Crafting a song that delves into the enigma of a mysterious alien force expanding across the universe, conquering all it encounters, constitutes the essence of this composition. The initial guitar part is born from a riff that’s been with me since the ’90s. The song starts out with that dissonant VoiVod vibe but transforms into something that feels a bit like old-school Metallica, at least to my ears. What sets this song apart is the inclusion of my former bandmate, Dale Drew, who lends his vocal prowess to the composition. On bass, we have my friend Dwayne Pike, and the rhythmic foundation is once again masterfully executed by Raul Marques on drums.” adds Waye.

Canadian Thrashers TRISKELYON New Music Video “At War With Demons” ft. Cara McCutchen (Mortillery, Naitaka)

New Album “Artificial Insanity” Out Sept 2023 (Moribund Records)

Canada’s new power thrash metal gods Triskelyon will be unleashing their sophomore album “Artificial Insanity” (mixed and mastered by Michael Small (Winterhearth, Triskelyon, Artach)) on September 8th via Moribund Records. Led by guitarist and band founder Geoff Waye, Triskelyon’s second full-length“Artificial Insanity” has guests from the crème de le crème of the Canadian metal scene. Enlisting the vocal talents of guests Amanda Jackman (Category VI), Armin Kamal (Infrared), Cara McCutchen (Mortillery, Naitaka), Dale Drew (Sea Dogs), Des Mason, Ellim, Pete Healey, Raúl Álvarez (Dark Order-Aus.) and Tim Tymo (Tymo) culminate in a varied album, which delivers both pure thrash metal classics, hints of blackened melodic thrash, and enough power metal to bring one back to the 1980s. Drum duties are shared between Raul Marques (Burning Torment) and Alexander Raykov (Antreib), while Dwayne Pike, Keith Jackman (Category VI), and Darrin Pope are conscripted on bass.

With “Artificial Insanity”, Triskelyon returns to follow up their radio chart-topping debut album “Downfall” (2022) with a varied yet blistering thrash/power metal classic, bringing back the 1980’s glory days, while maintaining a fresh and modern sound.

Today, Triskelyon is revealing their next music video for the single “At War With Demons” featuring vocals from Cara McCutchen (Mortillery, Naitaka), which can be viewed at https://youtu.be/m5H8OAJdpV0

Guitarist Geoff Waye adds:

“The title “At War With Demons” was fashioned as a nod to the legendary “At War With Satan” by the mighty Venom. However, that’s precisely where the similarity ends. This track stands as one of the heavier offerings on the album, a direct and succinct thrasher that strikes at the heart with its intent. Its lyrics are fundamentally centered around the theme of war. On vocals for this one is the remarkable Cara McCutchen, whose vocal prowess I had become acquainted with through her contributions to Mortillery. Presently, she fronts the Canadian ensemble Naitaka. Her vocal range is remarkably versatile, spanning from piercing screams to unrelenting brutality. Undoubtedly, her band is fortunate to have her as their vocalist.”

Triskelyon‘s “Artificial Insanity” is recommended for fans of Megadeth, Forbidden, Agent Steel, Exodus, Slayer, Testament, and Overkill.

Due out on September 8, 2023, the album pre-order is available from Moribund Records at the following link: http://www.moribundcult.com/product/DEAD309.html

“This was one of my anticipated albums this year as the EP wet my whistle but was far from being enough to satisfy my metal hunger. Hopefully this is not a one off because this is one of the most unique projects to come across my radar in a long time. I’m curious to see where Mr. Waye takes this project next. We shall see. In the meantime…get this album, you’ll thank me for it!” – Metal-Rules

“The highlight of the opening trio is the rampaging “Odyssey (Blessed By Steel)” which finds Marlee Ryley of Hyperia in fine form. Waye is on the rampage with a collection of frenetic riffs and the result is an adrenaline rush of a song that really gets things going. “A Time of War” then finds Triskelyon in Megadeth territory minus the trademark snarl of Dave Mustaine for what can only be described as a classic Thrash anthem… All in all, there is plenty to enjoy here, especially if you’re a lover of the mighty riff ” – Metal Noise

“Thrash Metal with melody, good arrangements and multiple voices.” – PowerMetal.de

“Power-Thrash equipped with murderous riffs on a technically first-class level with changeable exciting vocal variability, at times also surrounded by a dark atmosphere.” – FFM-Rock

“Most of the songs on here are fast and furious, such as “Balance of Terror” with its Hanneman/King-esque riffing, the skull-piercing “Odyssey (Blessed by Steel)” and the powerful “A Time of War,” though they do slow down a bit on the moody march of “Find a Way” while still remaining heavy as all hell… Triskelyon don’t reinvent the wheel of Power/Thrash, but they sure know how to keep it spinning, and that makes Downfall worth giving a spin of its own.” – The Metal Crypt
