A story-telling hard rock band that tells tales of war heroes, bank robbers, and clandestine lovers, this intrepid four-piece peddles true stories and truer fiction. Drawing inspiration from bands like the Headstones, Social Distortion, Motörhead, The Offspring and Iron Maiden, Hamilton’s The Castor Troys are proud to announce they will be performing at this year’s Sound of Music Festivalwith Bush, Live, Monster Truck, Headstones and more on June 8th in Burlington, ON at Spencer Smith Park. “We’re so incredibly excited to kick-off the 40th anniversary of the Sound of Music Festival! Not only are we playing alongside massive acts like Bush and Live, but this is our second time sharing the stage with our heroes, Headstones. The festival wanted to include a strong local representation at this kick-off show, and they’ve done that with incredible local bands like Monster Truck and Crown Lands. THE CASTOR TROYS‘ latest EP “Legends Never Die” was produced by Andre Kaden Black plus engineered by Tal Vaisman (Ascot Royals) and has refined the band’s sound, enabling them to capture the fierce energy of their live performance onto record, a great follow up to their 2015 debut full length “Come Hell or High Water” since forming in 2013.
