To celebrate the release of their debut full-length “Touch The Sky” on Rockshots Records, the Italian progressive quartet RAISED BY HAZE is sharing the third single “Burn It Up”.
“From the first chords, ‘Burn It Up’ aims to break the mold and inspire listeners to cast off the chains that tether us to our fears and limitations. “‘Burn It Up’ started with a simple arpeggio that evolved into the powerful riff driving the entire song. The first chorus is intentionally obsessive in rhythm, mirroring the feeling of being stuck, while the second chorus introduces a fresh rhythmic perspective, symbolizing the breaking of chains. This song was also our first-ever recording, this track began the initiation of a collaboration that has grown into something truly special. The day Valentina and I first spoke, she sent me the near-final vocal part, marking the promising beginning of our journey together.” explains guitarist Gabriele Robotti.
The track features captivating keyboard work by Giancarlo Sansone, adding depth and texture to the overall sonic experience.

Founded by the visionary guitarist Gabriele Robotti and featuring the soulful vocals of Valentina Tesio, RAISED BY HAZE’s first full-length “Touch The Sky” promises to be a musical journey like no other, embodying the essence of the band.
Gabriele Robotti, the creative force behind Raised By Haze, shares his vision, stating:
“Raised By Haze is a musical voyage that knows no bounds. ‘Touch The Sky’ is an exploration of emotions and musical styles, and we invite you to join us on this exhilarating journey.”
Valentina Tesio, the band’s soulful vocalist, adds:

“Touch The Sky” offers a mesmerizing blend of soul music, heavy metal, R&B, and progressive rock, promising to captivate listeners with its genre-defying sound. The album was conceived as a reflection of all of Robotti’s musical influences, aiming to weave a common thread through the diverse musical worlds that have inspired him.
“The foundational matrix for this album is arguably progressive rock and metal, with Dream Theater being the band that ignited my passion for playing the guitar during my childhood. However, the primary objective I set for myself with this album was to amalgamate all my influences, spanning from bands like Pink Floyd and Linkin Park to Pantera and Alter Bridge, and from classic 70s rock to modern progressive metal (including Opeth, Periphery, and Between The Buried And Me). Along the way, I ventured into various other musical territories.” adds Robotti.
While “Touch The Sky” is not a concept album, the lyrics, mostly penned by Valentina, draw heavily from personal experiences and the band’s unique perspectives on life and various situations. It can be said that the music serves as an artistic representation of their outlook on life, while the lyrics mirror Valentina’s experiences. The songs you hear are the culmination of this creative journey.
