Test Your Metal Records Announce Feb 16th Re-Release of Mumbai Rock n’ Rollers OVERHUNG “Moving Ahead”
Test Your Metal Records is proud to announce the North American re-release of “Moving Ahead” on February 16, 2018 for their latest signing Mumbai rock ‘n rollers OVERHUNG. The full length is an electrifying 10 tracks ready to blast from the stereo speakers and give fans that classic glam rock n’ roll feel of the 70’s and 80’s. In their native country of India, the Mumbai rock band has been garnering praise along with their straight to the point lyrics about sex and more sex that they feel is still a topic too taboo to be spoken of.
The band comments:
“Overhung has always been the one band that I’ve been a part of that has always had the good fortune or ability to overcome. From our vocalist leaving the city and the country, to no support for indie rock, to people disassociating because we sing about sex, these and a hundred more obstacles can’t slow us down. Influenced by Poison, AC/DC, Motley Crue, Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin , guitarist Howard Pereira describes their sound as “loud, fun, sex, rum…rock ‘n’ roll! We are about devolution not evolution! We are still doing late 80s and 90s rock!”
Pereira explains the very reason for OVERHUNG’s creation was when the members jammed “the energy was infectious and all of us wanted to write more kick-ass music with together…We hope that people are open to hearing our music in 2017. The band’s music is largely arena rock sounding, so at live gigs people just lose it and have a blast!”
You have to see OVERHUNG play because they have “insane live energy! Quite frankly there is no one like Sujit Kumar when it comes to live performances. He is shameless and you can’t take your eyes off him. His antics include table dancing, interacting with women (and men too sometimes), climbing everything in sight from light poles to bartops!
