Denver, CO’s CRAFTEON have unleashed their new video “What The Moon Brings” in support of their debut album “Cosmic Reawakening” due out on August 25th. The band is the conception of vocalist and guitarist Lord Mordiggian whom has been inspired to create an entire album influenced by his favorite writer H.P. Lovecraft. The eight tracks on the release are based on classic H.P. Lovecraft tales such as ‘The Outsider’, ‘Dagon’ and ‘From Beyond’. Achieving the unachievable in crafting music to match the stories, CRAFTEON can be best described as Bardic Black Metal.
Lord Mordiggian comments:
“This recording prudently recounts an antiquarian bundle of peculiar short stories authored by the famed American horror writer, H.P. Lovecraft, featuring a blasphemous potpourri of amorphous black metal enmeshed with spurious, assonant passages of hope juxtaposed and vanquished by discordant strains of utter despair and madness.”

About:
“That is not dead which can eternal lie yet with strange aeons even death may die.” – H.P Lovecraft ‘The Nameless City’
H.P. Lovecraft (1890-1937), creator of the Cthulu Mythos, was the most influential horror writer of the 20th century. Indeed, no less a talent than Stephen King said Lovecraft was ‘the 20th Century’s greatest practitioner of the classic horror tale.’ Lovecraft’s ability to evoke brooding otherworldly horror is unsurpassed and has influenced a great many heavy metal artists from Iron Maiden and Black Sabbath to Metallica. Yet no band has ever paid tribute to Lovecraft with the same degree of scope and immersion as the appropriately CRAFTEON.
CRAFTEON is the conception of vocalist and guitarist Lord Mordiggian. A teacher of literature, Lord Mordiggian was inspired to create an entire album inspired by his favourite writer H.P. Lovecraft.
Musically inspired by the likes of Shining, Dissection, Nyktalgia, Cradle of Filth and Iron Maiden, Lord Mordiggian describes the sound of CRAFTEON as ‘rough-hewn, distraught, mucilaginous, archival and multiplanar.’
CRAFTEON’s debut album “Cosmic Reawakening” features eight tracks inspired by classic Lovecraft tales such as ‘The Outsider’, ‘Dagon’, and ‘From Beyond’. CRAFTEON have achieved the unachievable in crafting music to match the stories, indeed, such are their storytelling prowess and their style of music could be dubbed Bardic Black Metal. Lord Mordiggian is optimistic about the album’s reception and there is more music to come.
“I expect the general fans of black metal to enjoy the influence of early Swedish black metal…This band will remain in the realm of Lovecraft and at least his genre, and considering he has hundreds of other stories, the music to come in the future is virtually limitless as far as the concept goes. I already have several songs in the works for the sophomore album, and this time the other band members are contributing their own original pieces as well.”
CRAFTEON’s debut album “Cosmic Reawakening” is due out August 25, 2017.

About:
Divinity, based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, started in 1997 and began playing live shows in 1999. In 2001, the band released its first EP album called “Intensify” which received a lot of local (Canadian) praise after sending in a couple songs to BWBK’s ‘Knuckletrack’ CD sampler. A music video was released for the song “World of Pain” in 2003 and the band played local shows building its show experience.
Fast forward to 2007, Divinity independently releases their first full-length album called “Allegory” and is picked up by Nuclear Blast Records just 3 months after the independent release. Obviously, this was a major turning point for the band!
In 2008, Divinity took on its first major tour by joining the Summer Slaughter Canada tour. This gave them the opportunity to connect to high-calibre booking agents and other acts such as Dying Fetus, Whitechapel, and Necrophagist.
In 2009, Divinity spent it’s time creating their 2nd full-length album, called “The Singularity” which was released under Candlelight Records with a very positive response from numerous reviewers and listeners.
Since the release of The Singularity, Divinity has toured Canada numerous times over and has received massive support and praise from around the world.
The band is currently releasing a trilogy EP concept album now turned into a full-length LP, called ‘The Immortalist’ available May 26th, 2017 at all digital music stores and as a special limited run CD Digipak.

“DIVINITY: F*CKING WOW…Divinity definitely make my balls quiver.” – Metalsucks.net
“Technical death metal fans will find Divinity to be a hybrid of several genres that all have a hand in formulating the band’s sonic reverence. From soft piano to sky-raising clean vocals, every attempt is made to show that monotony and predictability is not in Divinity’s DNA.” – Metal Underground
“Divinity is easily among Canada’s elite bands (along with Into Eternity for example) that have that the new ‘Western Canadian’ sound that morphs Death, Thrash, Prog and crazy chops into one sweet package.” – Metal-Rules
“If you like you metal hard, fast & heavy then The Immortalist is for you. Super-fast paced with furious sounding riffs & vocals, this is an album that gets in your face from the moment Manhunt begins & only steps back when then final notes of Conqueror play out. That’s 68 minutes of pure noise assault.” – Games, Brrraaains & A Head-Banging Life
“It is hard for me to find a death metal record that keeps me engaged, and DIVINITY successfully unlocks that achievement by doing a masterful job of keeping it interesting and telling a story with the arrangements and the lyrics. That’s the way it should be!” – MUEN Mag
“The Immortalist – delivering over 67-minutes of intricacies, fluid guitar play, insane time signature manipulations, and varied clean/extreme vocal expressions for the consumers to digest…. The Immortalist is ideal for people who love the marriage of Swedish melodic death and progressive/technical metal that doesn’t go far off the rails – dripping with a touch of cyber-orientation to give things that fresh nature to the proceedings.” – Dead Rhetoric
“Divinity have absolutely knocked it out of the park with this eventual third full-length release. Far from a pale imitation of its many and varied influences, The Immortalist is rather a perfect culmination of everything those impressive acts have so far sought to create. This record has the potential to be an absolute worldbeater if given a chance. If you have even a slight interest in any of the bands mentioned in this review, then you owe it to yourself to go and pick up a copy of The Immortalist immediately.” – The Metal Observer
“‘The Immortalist’ is a wonderful trilogy, which has been brought together as one now and to which lovers of melodic. progressive death metal can quench their thirst on. Fans of previous work or bands such as In Mourning, Into Eternity, Mercenary and Mors Principium Est can buy this blindly.” – Lords of Metal

About:
Hailing from the frozen tundra of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada is a band of metal marauders. A group of 5 each marking a point on a pentagram.
In the summer of 2015, guitarist Jonathan Hayward started forming a band that would be inspired by the great classic shredders of decades past. In a time and place where metal had become a sort of melting pot, a band slowly emerged and each member came together to turn back the clocks and rediscover the roots of heavy metal. That band would become what is now known as Dark Messiah.
Hayward recruited a drummer, a bassist and a rhythm guitarist and together their started to craft their sound that would make the band. On recommendation from the drummer, Stephen Chubaty was given an audition to become the vocalist and main lyricist to give voice to what Dark Messiah would become.
The band jumped onto the scene quickly. A very established bar that had been around about as long as rock n roll itself “The Zoo” announced it was closing. Jonathan and Stephen had never played the iconic venue before so the band set out to try and book a gig. Even though the group did not have a name yet and had barely been off the ground for a month, they decided to push forward.
With the gig fast approaching the need for a name was getting frustrating. In a conversation with a friend Hayward was asked what kind of band he was trying to help put together. “A classic metal inspired band, but one different than anyone else. a band that would bring back what once was.” He said. His friend responded with “Kinda like a chosen band.” as a joke. “Yeah but an evil one. Like a….dark messiah.” the name was solidified and the gig was officially booked.
In preparation for this goal the band worked hard together to make the show happen. Conflict and personality clashes led to the band’s first bassist to quit. They found a replacement to join the band a mere 12 days before the show. With original parts written and personalized by each member Dark Messiah took the stage.
In the end it was deemed a success. The band would go on to play more shows throughout the next couple of months but also had some more lineup changes. Lawrence Reimer was brought in to play rhythm guitar as the first member had to follow a different path. Lawrence’s drive helped push the band to it’s next level. Perfectly balancing the already established sound.
The band was shook to the core when it was forced to use the services of a fill in drummer due to unforeseen circumstances.
Even with all these issues arising the band never cancelled a show and never missed a beat. They eventually recruited the naturally talented Robert Schau on drums. A few months later the band was forced to once again replace a bassist right in the midst of recording. Lagg Walker joined the band and helped finish the E.P. The release debuted at #4 on Reverbnation for metal in Winnipeg and the next day made it to number #2. Now the band is stronger than ever and has their eyes set on touring throughout Canada in support of the EP come summer of 2017.

About the duo:
Grant, who plays guitar, bass and synth for the band started his music career 8 ½ years ago at the age of 12, sitting in his basement watching the movie Rock Prophecies. This movie was about legendary rock photographer Robert M. Knight, finding and transforming a young, unknown guitarist from a small town into a worldwide success. Inspired and motivated, Grant spent the next few years honing his guitar skills, writing music, and later learning the business side by attending college for business marketing. At age 20, Grant was invited into the Brotherhood of the Guitar, by founder Robert M. Knight, leading to endorsements with Ernie Ball Music Man and JH Audio.
While Grant was performing with another group at a local battle of the bands, he came across a mesmerizing singer by the name of Kenny Parry (vocalist, drummer and synth for Jupiter Hollow), who was almost performing as if he was possessed on stage, hitting notes that seemed impossible by any guy. Kenny Parry started music at the young age of 2 years old, setting up pots and pans like a drum set and banging away. This led to an obsession with music, and a discovery of his unique talent. In his teenage years, Kenny won himself the title “Best Drummer in Ontario” 3 years in a row. Around this time, Kenny started learning how to sing after being inspired by singers such as Maynard James Keenan, Mike Lessard, Dan Tompkins and Ian Kenny to name a few. Through years of strengthening his vocal abilities in choirs, bands and hours of dedication, Kenny has acquired an articulate vocal range, relentless endurance, and almost shocking performance through his uncontrollable stage presence.
Shortly after meeting, Grant and Kenny knew that their talents combined would create something truly unique, and Jupiter Hollow was born. Since then, the duo effortlessly created music in Kenny’s basement for months on end. The concept grew to be a two-man band, since Grant and Kenny wrote all of the music and wanted to keep it that way. The two musicians use technology to their advantage, allowing them to perform with a dominating stage presence, while captivating their audiences with their unique sonic journey.

“Without a doubt, Jupiter Hollow are elite musicians. Grant and Kenny know exactly how to captivate an audience with their music. This theory is proven through the artistic journey that is their record, Odyssey. Their music is tasteful. This is one of the few records that I have been able to sit down and listen to the entire record without skipping a single track. You might think progressive music isn’t for everyone but Jupiter Hollow, makes listening to a genre of music that can be classified as challenging to listen to, rather easy. Every song on Odyssey is an emotional journey, musically and lyrically. Let the music take you by the hand and embrace the emotion in its purest form. Listen to Jupiter Hollow. Now. There’s a reason why they’re being noticed. It’s because they love what they do and they’re good at it!” – Alex CrazyAce, Host/Executive Producer of ‘The Rush’ on VIBE105 FM – Interview can be heard here.
“Jupiter Hollow have given the world five songs of progressive brilliance. For such a young duo hailing from Barrie, Ontario they pack a serious punch. They are great musicians and have crafted an amazing voice which touches on a range of progressive cliches but with a twist of more ambient music. Their music shows maturity beyond their age…” – The Independent Voice
“Impossibly young Canadian duo deliver quite a trip. When a prog band emerges with their debut EP and the two people in it are 18 and 21 respectively, you are more than entitled to feel old. When a prog duo emerges with as much talent as Jupiter Hollow you are entitled to feel excited about the future…A band this brimming with ideas will at some point in their careers deliver a masterpiece. This is an incredible start.” – Maximum Volume Music
“New listeners can expect to go on a musical journey when hearing Jupiter Hollow.” – Barrie Advance
“Teen duo Jupiter Hollow deserve props for valuing virtuosity and going against the grain. Rock on!” – Power of Pop
“An adventurous duo that isn’t afraid to experiment with sound as well as influences, which range from Rush to A Perfect Circle to newer Leprous. ” – Lords of Metal
“Jupiter Hollow consists of only two guys; there’s a Grant, and there’s a Kenny. They put all of the music together themselves, and it’s pretty spectacular if you ask me!” – Noah Campbell, Rock 95.7FM (Radio Host)

0 NEWS: NoCleanSinging Premiere TIDES OF KHARON’s Title Track “Coins Upon Our Eyes” From Upcoming Greek Mythology Themed Debut EP Out July 21st

(contact info below)
NEWS RELEASE
Montreal, QC – July 12, 2017
For fans of Kataklysm, Amon Amarth, At The Gates
From Upcoming Greek Mythology Themed Debut EP Out July 21st

Few things go together better than melodic death metal and ancient mythology. The debut EP from Edmonton, Alberta’s TIDES OF KHARON, is the latest addition to this perfect combo. Entitled “Coins Upon Our Eyes”, the debut goes hand in hand with the band name, taken from the lore of the boatman on the river Styx who ferries the dead to the underworld, taking the coins left on the eyes of a corpse as his payment. TIDES OF KHARON fully embrace the Greek mythology themes in their songs and their first EP is a culmination of several different tales taking from the ancient pantheon.
Originally started by brothers Cam, Ryan and Justin Rehman in 2014 with a desire to play shows in front of people, TIDES OF KHARON quickly became a fan favorite in the Edmonton music community. The solidification of Gord Alexander on drums and Garrett Nelson on vocals finally cemented the sound the band sought and the production of the EP could begin. Citing inspiration from titans in the genre including Amon Amarth, At the Gates and early In Flames, the band is definitely in the running alongside their Swedish counterparts.
Finally, their debut EP is ready to be unleashed upon the public on July 21st and teaming up with NoCleanSinging.com, the quintet is premiering the title track.
The band comments:
“The EP is the culmination of several years of writing and performing material in an attempt to solidify what we would define as our sound. Lyrically the title track ‘Coins Upon Our Eyes’ is a discussion on existentialism within the setting of Greek mythology, and the indifference of gods that you know are real. The rest of the tracks follow suit with lyrical themes involving, the rape of Medusa, Orpheus’ quest to bring back his dead wife, and an unending battle involving the sons of the god of war, Ares. The EP is just the beginning with several songs already complete and numerous in the works a full length album won’t be far off.”
