“I can’t even try and place Within the Giant’s Reach into any genre as they seem to cover most genres in one track. There are elements of Thrash, Death, Death-core, Hardcore and Tech Death. How it is possible to manage this in one track is beyond my imagination. If their forthcoming EP is anything like this track, then I am sure that Within the Giant’s Reach will find themselves a lot of new fans across the globe.”  – The Metal Review

Many bands make metal drawing inspiration from what has gone before, but San Antonio-based WITHIN THE GIANT’S REACH make music courageously drawn from the present, inspired by the reality of the world that surrounds them. Theirs is a firestorm of fury, a searing sonic symphony of songs from the heart dealing, in songs likes ‘Scars’ and ‘Faceless’ with such subjects as bullying and internet trolls. Overall with songs like ‘Rise and ‘The Summit’, WITHIN THE GIANT’S REACH make music of strength, self-belief and empowerment.

Guitarist William Taylor describes WITHIN THE GIANT’S REACH’s music as “aggressive, motivational, hard-hitting, lyrical metal”.

Taylor explains the profound meaning of his band’s name.

“The name is based on the struggles we face mentally and physically. The Giant represents the struggle towering over you, keeping you within reach. We don’t let them define us but we are in constant battle until the day you wake up, see your full potential, reach for the sky, and conquer your Giant.”

Taylor and band are stoked for fans to hear the new EP “and feel the energy I want to wake up inside of them. I want to inspire them to conquer their Giants and to do great things. No matter how hard it gets…Move forward! You only have one life, so live it! We want to project our drive, our reach for heavy brutal music bringing back lyrical song-writing.”

Live, WITHIN THE GIANT’S REACH more than live up to their name.

“People feel the raw energy we unleash. Nothing is overly complicated or hard to pick out, but everything hits hard, is in your face, and really tells the story musically that Norman is relying with his vocals. The listeners will really experience the message that we have laid out. You want to bang your head, throw your fists in the air, and scream along every time!”

WITHIN THE GIANT’S REACH’s debut EP “In The Beginning” is due out on May 11, 2018 and available for pre-order on Bandcamp here.

“2 Shadows, who are carving a unique place for themselves in the scene with solid tunes and a welcome brand of visual showmanship.” – The Permanent Rain Press

“On one of the snowiest, coldest nights the city of Vancouver has ever seen, we braved the storm (not to mention almost crashing the car on route) to catch one of the city’s most promising new metal bands – 2 Shadows…2 Shadows are just what record label dreams are made of, you can count on the fact that this band won’t be staying local long, we have no doubt they’ll be touring nationally in 2017, so catch them while you can!” – Remember Media

We are at a crucial turning point in the world of metal. Many of the great Gods of Metal have gone on to Valhalla (Lemmy, Dio), many have disbanded (Black Sabbath, Rush), or are on their (lengthy!) farewell tours (Scorpions, Slayer), so more than ever, in the words of Main Force Patrol in Mad Max, “the world needs heroes.” And in the shape of 2 Shadows, the metal world at least, has new heroes!

Inspired by Slipknot, Five Finger Death Punch, Motionless In White, Rammstein, Asking Alexandria, vocalist Mike Horvath describes the sound of 2 SHADOWS as “heavy, dark, theatrical, energetic, honest”.

Horvath explains the meaning of his band’s intriguing and memorable name name.

“We believe that everyone has two shadows; one dark, one light. The dark represents the faults in life; the negativity, the things that beat you down. The light represents hope and a willingness to carry on and more forward. We feel that the name 2 Shadows gives an open canvas to write about the darkest depths of life to the most positive things!”

Horvath is psyched for fans to hear 2 SHADOWS’ new music.

“Our writing has become more polished and we feel our current writing is the best it has ever been. The album as a whole is a just a journey. Each song is a different story being told in a very honest in your face way. The album itself is almost like a therapy session.”

Horvath says its live 2 SHADOWS really show the duality of their nature.

“Our live show is just as important to us as our music. We try and make our live show a visual representation of our music. We are constantly building and evolving our stage show so our fans can always expect something different and exciting!”

2 SHADOWS’ debut album “Transference” is available on all major online retailers.
