Romanian / Swedish Power Metal Trio CROSSING ETERNITY Posts New Music Video “Ghost of A Storm”

Debut Album “The Rising World” Out via Rockshots Records June 15th

Brand new Romanian/Swedish symphonic power metallers CROSSING ETERNITY have posted a new new music video “Ghost Of A Storm” in support of their forthcoming new album “The Rising World” set for its worldwide debut on June 15, 2018 via Rockshots Records.

“Ghost Of A Storm” can be viewed at the following link:

along with the band’s first music video Crossing Eternity at

“The Rising World” blends elements of modern metal with psychedelic soundscapes alluding to the innocence of the 70s’ rock music. The album contains thirteen epic songs, widely varied in composition and arrangement. The lyrics are a natural extension of this musical experience and they are tales of a spiritual journey. At times they talk about the invisible side of the world, other times they speak of fairy tale magic characters. Human nature and the causal dynamic of human interactions are also among the approached topics.

In regards to recording of the album, singer Berti Barbera says:

“Recording this album was the most challenging vocal experience of my life. It brought back the times me and Manu were playing in a rock band, with all the jokes and high energy. The serious effort made me use a lot of techniques and ways of expression I thought I lost or never use again. This is a great achievement and definitely our best work together in a time I stopped believing in magic. There is something cosmos related in this, it must be. I can’t wait to be on stage with these guys.”

Manu Savu (Guitar/ Bass/ Keyboards) also reflects on the album:

“I wrote the music for this album as an introspective journey, like a confession, a deep soul search, a backward connection, a connection with the almost unseen world of metaphors and symbols, an essential part of our existence. It’s an act of honesty, a musical statement about what we can and cannot see, a story between the tangible and the magical world.”

The adventure of CROSSING ETERNITY started in the summer of 2017, when guitarist/composer Manu Savu entered the studio with a head full of great song ideas alongside fellow Romanian Berti Barbera, the band’s singer and Swedish Uffe Tillman taking on drum duties. Although the band is brand new, the three passionate, experienced musicians bring 25-30 years of experience across all genres with them. This mix of experience and wide variety of musical influences allows them to create a sound they describe as big, organic, personal, vibrant and honest.

Enjoying the privilege of sharing the stage with big names like Uriah Heep, Ten Years After, Scorpions, Larry Coryell, Blood, Sweat and Tears, the band’s main priority is to expand their boundaries and play worldwide, finding opportunities to make their music known and appreciated in as many countries as possible.

Approaching the genre with a blend of heavier and lighter styles, which range from technical metal riffs, to spooky mellow passages, to hardcore breakdowns, Toronto’s VODNIK balance their metal between progressive grooves and dark atmospheres to establish a sound that is bizarre and ominous yet catchy and memorable. With this formula the band aspires to grab the attention of a wider audience.

Drawing their name and lyrical themes from the mythological Czech creature, guitarist Jeremy Jackson explains:

“In Czech, Vodnik roughly translates to ‘of water’. I adopted the name for us because it is a widely celebrated mythological creature from my Czech heritage. Vodnik is gruesome, perfect for metal and what we want to do with it.”

Vocalist Reinier Vandenbosch adds:

“Lakes and rivers are its territory where it awaits to trap the souls of drowning victims. He is similar to the boogieman of the English-speaking world that also scares children. I try to write the lyrics largely from the perspective of the Vodnik creature.”

Along with embracing themes centered around the creature, VODNIK is also inspired by science fiction and horror, social and political commentary, dark philosophical ideas, and other mythological stories. Citing a wide variety of musical influences, VODNIK is a legit, no nonsense, heavy band that brings a ferocious energy to the stage.

Unleashing their debut single “Our Dread, Our Joy” off their planned debut EP slated for later release in 2019, the monstrous groove metal four-piece have teamed up with Bravewords.com for the premiere of their new music video.

NEWS RELEASE

Montreal, QC – June 6, 2018

For fans of Megadeth, Iron Maiden, Manowar, Slayer

AxMinister Announce Ontario Show Dates

Streaming New EP “The Crucible of Sin”

Toronto’s heavy metal trio AxMinister announce they will be hitting the road for dates across Southern Ontario in support of their recently unleashed new EP “The Crucible of Sin”. The EP was released on May 4th to follow singles “Visceral Speed” (2017), “AXistential Christmas” (2015), “Unborn Warriors: The Cries of Tomorrow” (2015) and full length “Betray Everything” (2015).

Warriors of metal on a holy quest, AxMinister are inspired by Megadeth, Metallica, Slayer, Iron Maiden, Manowar and can be best described with a sound that of a sped up Type O Negative.

The band comments:

“Our EP “The Crucible of Sin” sports a sense of humour. It tries to tell a… at times, nihilistic, story about love, lust, oppression, and redemption. Following every recording and show, we try to reflect on our own mistakes, and attempt to improve. We grew to understand our 90s thrash/traditional style of songwriting, and compose accordingly. This EP has that ‘90’s warm thrash sound akin to Megadeth’s Youthanasia album. We hope old and new audiences join us on a journey that is at times fictional, visual and imaginative, while other times introspective and contemplative. We like you to dance, head bang, and mosh to it.”

(Bio written by Steve Earles)

“From the drop of the first note, AxMinister pull their ax from stone, brandishing it mightily and powerfully as they dish out shredding sharpened riff after sharpened riff. Thrown in to the mix are face melting solos as well as ever present charging drumming as well as very solid very infectious vocals. Each of the five tracks present within this release are woven together well to provide you with a cohesive and well rounded sound that you will have a hard time getting out of your head. With The Crucible Of Sin, AxMinister gift you with five highly addictive and highly entertaining tracks that you keep coming back to.” – Cadaver Garden

“”The Crucible of Sin” is a lyrically-strong (hard & heavy) power metal recording with strong lead vocals, great guitar solos, a slick rhythm section, and inspired songs that will make you want to wave the banner of true heavy metal for all to see!! This is honest to goodness heavy metal that has been made possible thanks to hard work & dedication of true heavy metal maniacs.” – Heavy Metal Time Machine

“You can tell that AxMinister is a band that is all about fun, especially since one of their songs is titled “Arnold Schwarzenegger” – Metal Master Kingdom

“I don’t know how I’ve never come across these guys before; they played some great traditional Heavy Metal about history and had a killer stage show to boot, with frontman Nicholas Klaus looking like an executioner and their drummer constantly changing hats/helmets/masks throughout the set.” – Five Magics Music

“[AxMinister’s] gritty pounding thrash originals should also make lots of fans on the Fourth of July, so keep them in mind!” – Sault Metal Scene
